"Why don't you tell her yourself?"
"The record room is right down the hall."
The Devil gave an indignant snort at this, looking at Vampire crossly from behind his grinning mask. He didn't even need to hear the rest of the other's challenge before he found himself smiling a bit...already accepting it.
"You can keep your change." The Devil retorted, going to turn and glance down the hallway everyone in the room had been directed toward. At this point, it came to his attention that this might be some stupid Halloween prank. That he's wander down the hall and have some idiot in a costume jump out and try to scare him. Something about that just made him want to go down the hallway more...as if to prove he wouldn't be frightened by something so ridiculous.
"That's kind of rude..."
"Just enjoy what you can or leave, nobody's forcing you to stay, right?"
The Devil was about to step forward when he heard this, pausing and glancing back at the Vampire Lawyer. Great. There were already people starting to rush down towards the hallway and he was distracted by this fool. Even so...he turned to him fully, eyes dull with disinterest in what the other had said. "Yeah, and I didn't ask your opinion either. Don't tell me what to do."
Eh.
A little harsh.
But The Devil was positive he'd get over it, turning away from the other before he had a moment to retort as he headed toward the hallway. Quite a few people were ahead of him as well, making him exhale sort of sharply. Time to get moving.
He didn't get too far before coming to a dead stop at the entrance of the hallway, looking down the candle-lit passage with hesitation. What?! Why was he so uncertain all of a sudden? It frustrated him, feeling a bit of a burning in his pride as he couldn't bring himself to go forward...it was just...too creepy.
There were people already heading down it though, something that gave back a bit more of his confidence. If they were doing it, then so could he. Besides, if anything was going to jump out and try to scare them...it would most likely have done it before he got there, since he was behind some. With a small breath he stepped forward into the hall, walking a bit slower than he would have hoped he could and unconsciously sticking close to one of the walls. Despite his own fear, he gave a small chuckle, raising his voice some to the others in the hallway, "You guys do realize whatever's down this hall is just there to scare us, right?"
Chicken wasn't even paying any mind to where his partner was, still entirely focused on Belle's dress as he finally stopped trying to get the specks out. He noticed they seemed a bit worse than before, though as Belle smiled and patted his head he felt any sour feeling towards what he'd done go away. Grinning back, he went and hopped beside her. "I will, don't you worry!"
The grin stayed on his face before he went to glance around the room, realizing suddenly that his partner was nowhere in sight. AHH! Chicken was sure he would be in trouble for this, biting his lip and glancing around almost frantically. Had he really gone off that far? Or...what is something attacked The Devil while he was preoccupied with the chocolate fountain?! He would never forgive himself. Never ever.
"W-wait! Have you seen my friend?! He was dressed as a devil." Chicken asked with a small whimper, rather suddenly going and wrapped his sticky chocolate-covered hands around one of Belle's arms, oblivious to how much she probably wouldn't enjoy this.
As far as he was concerned, he'd just made his new best friend.

"I'M GOING TO WIN!"
The Black Reaper blinked behind his mask and froze, The Black Rider having to tug him back against the wall so the Beast wouldn't knock him over. He nearly went forward though only to be yanked back again as Butterfly went running after Beast. Immediately what bit of a temper he had flared up but he refrained from saying anything, just deciding to stand off to the side. Sure he wanted to know what was going on in that room, but not bad enough to follow after those lunatics.
"Brilliant idea here, not even gonna bother with it anymore." The Black Reaper muttered, shaking his head and moving back towards the entrance and standing against the wall. Everyone else could trample over each other to get in if they wanted, but he wanted no part in it now; he'd just watch everything. The Black Rider was a little relieved her companion no longer had an interest in pursuing the reasoning behind the music, staying next to him as he moved to lean against the wall. Admittedly she had been a little excited to see what was in the room, but was equally content with just watching.
"You guys do realize whatever's down this hall is just there to scare us, right?"
The Black Reaper blinked and looked over at Devil, for whatever reason smiling behind his mask. "Tell a group of people they'll get a reward and they'll do almost anything." He said, turning his head to look down the hall towards Dionysus for whatever reason. "...There's bound to be some smart ones in this crowd who aren't like that though, yeah?" He said, loud enough for most to hear. The Black Rider gave him a light shove as if to tell him to stop trying to antagonize everyone, but he just shrugged it off.
It wasn't like it matter if anyone got mad at him, no one knew who he was anyway. The ability to stay anonymous gave him the courage to say things he might usually keep to himself, though this seemed to be turning into a bad thing. The Black Rider knew this, hence her reasoning behind wanting her companion to stay quiet. She didn't want him getting in any fights, verbal or otherwise.

"That one has alcohol. This one doesn't."
Fenrir blinked as Zombie spoke to him, watching her a moment for whatever reason before going to get himself some from the spiked bowl with a murmured and almost tentative "Thanks". He noticed the Dragon's hand sort of going for the alcoholic ladle, going and smacking his hand away. He was of age but he was pretty sure his partner was not... Also he just didn't feel like letting his companion have what he wanted at the moment. The other was getting on his nerves way too much for him to allow it.
"You both look good."
"Oh uh... Thanks... You too..." Fenrir said, his voice low for whatever reason as he went and kind of scratched at the back of his neck. He seemed faintly annoyed by the jingling of the chains wrapped around his arm, but it became obvious as his partner responded to the complement. "Thanks, I thought it was awesome too, though they had a way better one but it was too expensive and-" Fenrir had to interrupt before the Dragon said his name, giving him a sharp look from behind his mask. "Do you need a muzzle?" He asked crossly, cutting right through the other's sentence.
Dragon just laughed quietly at him though, seeming almost as if he'd thought of some hilarious joke. "Why would I need it? You're the dog!" He said, laughing more and covering his mouth as his companion just went and took a long sip of his drink. Fenrir obviously didn't find the joke as entertaining, trying to distract himself as he watched some others head for the hall. He gave a faint snort as he saw Beast go barreling towards it and knocked Butterfly over, shaking his head.
"And suddenly they're all five again." He muttered, noticing Dragon was edging forward towards the hall. He could tell his companion was curious, but probably not nearly enough to actually go and look... Either that or he just didn't want to leave Fenrir's side. He almost wished the Dragon would just go ahead and give him a bit of a break from his presence. Tonight would go by slowly if he hung around for the entirety of it.

The Cat, feeling remarkably close to her choice of animalistic costume that night, seemed to growl beneath her mask, dark eyes narrowing on the Scarecrow, and completely ignoring her own companion, or the person with which civil conversation had been achieved only moments before. "Let's see bub - it wasn't like you were looking where you were going - pretty sure that's blame enough right there! It's a party, there'd be people dancing everywhere if the music hadn't crapped out! Can you not grow enough of a pair to apologize to a kid?!"
While their honor was being defended, Alice slipped back into the natural defense of acting oblivious. There were other people talking - now that the happy music was gone, it was kinda easier to here what was going on in rooms over - and it seemed like a bunch of people were putting together some sort of game! "S'not scary - that sounds fun!" She crowed, jittering on the spot, pent-up energy goading her on more in desire to join in. The doll sounded chicken - but Alice wasn't. They'd never seen an alien before - or a ghost. Maybe it was like that cuddly ghost - Cooper or something. And aliens - he wasn't sure what they were...but the word alone sounded funny. Al-leen-ooons. Maybe they'd like to join the party too , and that's why they changed the music.
"Can we go looking for the ghost aliens too?!" She finally pipped up, only to find that her go-to person was still locked in mental battle with the Straw-man. Shoot...she could stay at that for hours, which meant no playing for them...unless...
Cat had been talking with the other people, right? And they didn't look like scary people - just hairy and really pretty and really funny -colored. One of them had bowed to her really nicely. If Cat'd talked to them...then it'd be okay for them to, too! Oh, brilliant plan!
"We can go hunting with them, can't we?" She asked the other three people, eyes wide and shining. "S'not gonna be scary if everybody else is doing it! It's a game! Games can't be scary!"

Zombie looked to both Fenrir and Dragon with a soft little smile. Her eyes beneath the mask searched the both of them, as if trying to affirm a thought, then gave a light nod for herself. She needed to have a talk with Fenrir, but with Dragon present she felt that it would be rude to just send him away. No...Zombie had to be clever in this case. Usually she could hold her own in a situation like this, but how on earth was she supposed to do this?
Heaven-sent, as always, Vampire waltzed up to the scene - unafraid to slide his arm over Dragon's shoulder with a wide grin. "YOU, my friend, look like you can use some punch." he chimed, reaching for the alcoholic ladle and happily filling a cup for both himself and Dragon. During this time it seemed as if Fenrir and Zombie had somehow magically blended in and away with the crowd... but that was just Zombie working quickly.
All she did was allow a few people cut in line to grab some punch and wormed her way through them to disguise getting lost in the group of people. However she just stood there with Fenrir, focused on him with a strange little smile. "Looks like we lost your friend..." she began, gesturing towards the crowd around the punch while Vampire was slowly easing Dragon away from them.
Zombie had no interest in being social tonight - she stumbled across something more interesting. The girl lifted her head to focus on Fenrir, then turned her back as if to start walking away. She paused, however, looking over her shoulder and calling out to him over the noise, "Want to see something cool?"

"YOU, my friend, look like you can use some punch."
Dragon blinked in surprise as Vampire put an arm over his shoulders, looking to him a moment before noting which punch was being poured. He felt oddly triumphant as he noticed it was the alcoholic kind, since Fenrir wasn't letting him have any. Speaking of Fenrir... Where did he go? "...Uh just curious but did you see where my friend went?" He asked Vampire, some of his confidence seeming to leave him at his companion's absence.
He had no idea what was causing him to react in such a way, since he'd been so hyper and talkative just a moment ago. Dragon kind of seemed to forget about all of that though once he remembered the punch Vampire had gotten for him, going ahead and taking a sip. "That's weird... But really good!" He commented before drinking a little more. And thus his missing partner was forgotten.
Meanwhile Fenrir noted the separation and was actually relieved by it, giving a quiet sigh. He wondered how Zombie had managed to get them separated so quickly, though he didn't ask about it. He nodded faintly as she commented on loosing Dragon, glancing over towards his companion and Vampire a moment. His only worry was which punch had been given to his partner, as he didn't want him to cause any problems for anyone... And the spiked punch would definitely cause that.
"Want to see something cool?"
Fenrir blinked as he noticed Zombie was moving away from him, quickly going to follow her. He stumbled just a little as he did, most likely because of the punch he was drinking, but he seemed alright otherwise. "Uh... Yeah, sure." He said, coming up alongside her and glancing around a bit. "...Where exactly is it though?" He questioned, turning his head to look at her.
This place did creep him out a little bit after all, as he found the idea of going away from everyone else a little unnerving.

Post by Wolf and Lil Red Riding Hood on Aug 31, 2011 17:43:04 GMT -5
Wolf blinked at the pair, the rather straw-like male, Scarecrow and the dazzling feline female Cheshire Cat, slightly troubled by their fighting. He had never really liked social gatherings, especially when drama started up over really...well...ridiculous things. It never occurred to Wolf, that if this whole thing happened to Lil' Red Wolf, he'd probably start arguing with someone as well, trying to defend the oblivious character. So he was really judging them with out even noticing what was only skin deep about himself. He sniffed, and looked back to Hanako, who must have been saying something, but for some reason, Wolf found himself not even paying attention. That was a little strange for him. Was it this whole event that was He turned his head to the others, the one that he could only describe as looking like a Doll, This Alice person, and Lil' Red Riding Hood.
"S-sounds scary..." The Doll said, making Wolf stare at Red a little sternly, what did he say out loud this time? Though, perhaps he really shouldn't have looked at him like that, he wasn't quite certain yet if Lil' Red was scaring these poor girls. Usually he was a good boy, she he would give Lil' Red Riding Hood the benefit of the doubt. "S'not scary - that sounds fun!" He blinked in the girl, Alice's direction now, a very keen expression on his face "Oh?" he asked. Was a game proposed? Wolf did enjoy a good game, or challenge, or...whatever it was.
Lil' Red smiled at the two, not quite understanding what Alice was even talking about. What was fun? He rethought what conversations went through, but did not find any sort of fun involved in any of it. Though he just nodded in agreement Sure is, he smiled, although his mind was still running through everyone he actually heard, and was paying attention too. Was it the ghosts thing that...whoever said? He didn't entirely think that it was fun, but it did sound like an adventure. His mind tracked back to the invitation he had gotten in the male. Well, Wolf got it in the mail, and gave it to him, when Red forgot to open it, Wolf was so kind as to read it out loud. Wasn't the invitation signed by a, a ghost? Lil' Red would have continued his thoughts on the subject, but it was at this moment, tragically, he lost his train of thought. "Hmm," he muttered, clearly a little upset that he forgot what he was thinking.
It was then that behind his mask, he looked at Alice, she started to talk, and he had to shake his head a few times to actually start listening to her. "We can go hunting with them, can't we?" He stared, and gasped, almost dramatically. His mind went into calculating-the-opportunity mode. Hunting. Hunting for Alien Ghosts...or Ghost Aliens. That all sounded, not only fun, but like an adventure. Fun was adventure, adventure was fun, fun was adventure, adventure was fun. She asked again if they could go hunting for them, and Lil Red Riding Hood burst out in a strange surge of passion. He threw his arms out, posing dramatically "Well, of course we can!!" the masked male, looked around, smiling at Alice, and then to Doll, not realizing that his voice may have been too loud for necessary. He almost danced out from where he was standing, and then stopped to look back at the others "Ah...Uhm....Where to first?" Wolf stared, almost in astonishment at his friends sudden outburst in liveliness, and then, slowly, tried to calm himself down. Would it be better to inform Scarecrow and Cheshire cat that they were supposedly kidnapping their dates, or...should he just leave them alone?

Post by The Black Swan on Aug 31, 2011 17:52:25 GMT -5
A fair girl dressed in black, her face white as the vast white tundra with a fake tiara slowly walked to the mansion. The ballet outfit fit her smoothly and elegantly. Every step she took was quiet, silent, almost like death itself. She was lost in her thoughts, the thoughts of how this night ill turn out. Will it be a blast or a dud? As soon as she went towards the entryway, her mind was made up. The Black Swan had a faint smile crept across her face.
The Black Swan peered across the room and heard voices here and there. She fixed her ebony black mask, from the corner of her eye, she noticed a small black feather floating down to a gentle stop to the ground. Hopefully her mask down fall off tonight, the swan lady thought. Then her mind thought of something else. Of why she took this form for this evening.
The character behind the mask was not at all like her persona. Not in the least bit. She was more like the classic white swan. So why did she pick the ever so dark black swan? Maybe the person behind the mask felt some sort of attraction. After the pondering, The Black swan wandered curiously to another room, where she found the organ. She herself didn't play, so she refrained from touching it.
The sites and sounds overall pleased her. this was the first time she has been to such a place. Overall, it's been okay so far. If she were to meet a new friend ... or maybe new friends. That would make her night extra special. She wishes for that to happen, almost desperate for it. For now, she'll wait for other guests to arrive.

"Hey don't worry heh... it's not scary..." The Vampire Lawyer carefully pushed Tinkerbell off of him.
"Yeah, and I didn't ask your opinion either. Don't tell me what to do."
He stopped, his incredibly displeased expression hidden behind his mask. That was quite rude and immature. He felt a snap of rage and his fingers curled, but it really only lasted a moment. He found himself muttering a response the other would never hear, thus rendering his mutterings quite pointless and weak. "Yeah well don't expect anything else when you try throwing your own opinion around..." He had considered grabbing something to snack on, but he felt awkward in doing so as the room became increasingly more deserted. Also his stomach had decided to tell him no. Not yet.
He gave the fairy's hand a little tug. He had heard the challenge issued earlier by the fellow Vampire a bit ago. He had not, however, expected so many (let alone what he assumed to be half the people in the room) to rise to the occasion. He tugged at the girl's hand, urging her to follow, but he stopped pretty quickly. He glanced back. What was he doing? He did not even want to go with the group like this. To him, the challenge had been nullified when so many people all at once had decided so easily to go for it. Similar to like if someone was challenged to drink something unfamiliar that turned out to be delicious. Or something like that. He was not sure.
He pressed a hand against the table behind him, leaning against it as he pressed his other hand against his forehead through the mask. He felt a bit odd and unusually scattered. So distracted by this, it took him a few moments to realize he had lost his companion to the group that had moved into the other room. "Ah darnit," he muttered. Should he even get all that worried, though? On one hand, she could most likely take care of herself. On the other hand, she probably could not take care of herself at all. These were both true.
Tinkerbell, in the meantime, had found herself becoming lost within the small crowd of people. She twirled a bit, happy to just be with this group. New friends! She had continued on, assuming that the lawyer had followed her and was still following. She reached out and tried to grab at somone, but fumbled and missed them completely. In an attempt to stop herself from stumbling and collapsing in a heap, she danced around and performed a somewhat impressive-looking move. She actually managed to stay upright.
She realized she had stopped in the little area between rooms, facing a hall next to a staircase. It was dark. The fear she had seemed to show earlier at the idea of the place going dark was aparrantely gone at the moment, as she leaneed forward and called at softly into the darkness, "Hellooooo?" She reached out and grabbed at the shadows as though they would possibly have solid form. They continued to not. She turned in the direction of the second lounge room where all the movement was coming from. "What's down there?"
The Vampire Lawyer decided that he would let his partner have her fun without him for the time being, but would certainly go looking for her if she remained out of sight for too long. He nodded to himself, figuring this was a good plan. Normally he would not, actually. But right now he did, so it was okay. He turned to look at the others who had remained in the room as well, overhearing some of what had been said.
"I think your friend is going over into the other room with them," he said, speaking to the Chicken as he pointed toward the second lounge. Probably off go to find something else to complain about, he smirked to himself.

Ha ha! He said he would win and he was by a mile! Beast continued his sprint down the dark hallway, paying no mind to the choking atmosphere as he went further and further down. It wasn’t until the music had abruptly stopped and was replaced by strange chanting that he came to a stop and realized how frighteningly dark and cold he actually was. His eyes widened to the point it hurt as he felt something uncomfortable rise up into his chest. Was this fear?
Beast stood there, paying no mind to whatever wrath that Butterfly was about to dish out on him once she had caught up. Instead he just stood there, frozen, watching as his breath became a thick cloud. There was something strange going on… and he couldn’t help the nagging feeling that something about this chanting wasn’t good. He had never heard anything like it before… and suddenly everything was feeling less like a prank and more like a trap. "Something’s wrong." he muttered to no one in particular, his entire form bristled as he was expecting something to come from the door. As much as Beast hated the idea of retreating from something that frightened him – this was different. Something about that chanting changed the game – and all of the sudden this little dance hadn’t seemed so harmless.
Meanwhile, Belle was still entertaining the company of her Chicken friend. Normally she would have been annoyed being latched to by a child, but for some reason something about this kid pulled at her heartstrings. He was cute, that was for sure (even though she had no real idea of knowing what he looked like beneath the mask.) Belle was confident her little friend was damn adorable and that thought enough let her tolerate him.
When he had inquired about his partner, Belle took a little look around. Not there anymore, huh. The girl gave a shrug as Vampire Lawyer explained where he had went. Belle turned to face her little buddy with a smile, kneeling down a bit to level with him. ”Looks like he’s off doing his own thing. But that’s fine, we can have fun on our own – right? Want to dance?”
However, she noticed it would be hard to dance to whatever this was. Belle straightened her posture and scrutinized everyone’s expression to see if this had been some kind of big joke or not. What was with the chanting? ”Uhhh… is this part of the playlist?”
Belle wasn’t sure why, but her attention was quickly shifted to Vampire Lawyer as if expecting him out of everyone there to be the first to listen. ”I’ve got a bad feeling about this…”

Post by Sheet Ghost and Princess Tutu on Sept 8, 2011 21:27:43 GMT -5
Before the intimidating doors of the Calanthe Mansion stood the Sheet Ghost and Princess Tutu. The night was young and it was time to party. The faint sound of the voices belonging to those that had already arrived wafted out from the various cracks and crannies that time had created in the portions of the building that were not solid stone. It was an impressive sight to say the least, and a more perfect atmosphere for a Halloween masquerade could not have been asked for.
"Woah...that's awesome," the cheaply disguised ghost uttered, glancing to his left at the ballerina next to him. "It's like something right out of one of those old and shitty horror movies." It could not be seen, but his smile could be heard through his speech. A rippling curtain of pure white material concealed the figure within, rendering it practically formless . Two round holes that served as eyes punctuated the otherwise plain, unremarkable surface of the ghost.
"I never seen any before..." she responded, tapping at her lip. "What's the point of going to this anyway, we could have ate at home too." While the ghost was simply dressed in a sheet, the other's costume was much more intricate. Her outfit was white, the underside of the dress filled with a pink frill from which blue ribbons twirled. The final touches were the spray of white along the ridges of her hair, the pink slippers and mask, and to top it off was a little white crown on top of her head.
"It's free food. That's why. I have to pay for the stuff at home. "Plus!" There was that audible grin again. "Parties are fun. Especially ones with anonymous hosts."
"It doesn't make you nervous that we all gotta hide who we are?"
"It's a freaking costume party, we're meant to hide ourselves." At that, he immediately started for one of the windows instead of actually stepping inside through the decorated doors. The girl asked where he was going but was answered by his actions rather than any actual speech. He grabbed at one of the windowpanes and she quickly rushed over to grab at his arm to stop him from doing anything rash. After a brief debate on the use of doors and how awesome or not awesome windows would be to be used instead, they finally settled down and stepped into the large home. The hall was vast in both width and height and was almost as impressive as the exterior itself. As soon as they set foot in the hall, the voices they had been hearing earlier came into sharper relief, and their origin became clear. A group of about six or so individuals occupied the hall, all of whom were costume clad. The Sheet ghost observed the small group for a moment before reaching out to give Princess Tutu a small tug toward a darker hallway leading away from the main hall, and the people it contained. “Come on..let’s go find someone.”
“Huh what? But there's people right here...” Princess Tutu exclaimed, unsure what was wrong with this group here, and why another one might be better. The sheet ghost didn’t respond and continued toward the darkened hallway, now totally ignoring the group. He stepped through and continued on without so much of a word. He was looking for something in particular...if he couldn’t have his surprise window entrance something else to garner attention would have to do. A group of already conversing people would not work for this. After a short trek down the hall, Sheet Ghost saw exactly what he was looking for, and pulled Princess Tutu into a more shadowed area, and pointed at a lonely figure just up ahead, which could vaguely be seen to be dressed up as a fairy of sorts. It was hard to tell from where he was.
“What’s a Halloween party without a few scares, huh? Join if you want. It’ll be fun.” He sounded deliciously happy about the prospect of this, which he was.
The ballerina shook her head. She wanted to have fun, but she was not sure if she would very much like the idea of giving someone else a scare. It was in the spirit of this holiday but that did not make her any more inclined to do so.“Well you can go ahead, I'm gonna pass...” [/color] The ghost was already on his way. It was far too tempting, the ambiance was perfect as well as the costume, however terrible, that he was sporting. Motioning for Princess Tutu, he continued onward, keeping to the shadows in hopes he wasn’t spotted before he could put his plan into action. He didn’t know if she ever spotted him, but wasn’t going to step out of hiding to ask weather she had or not. As soon as the Tinkerbell’s back was turned to him, and he felt he was close enough where he could continue to not be noticed by the obviously fidgety fairy, he darted forward to poke at her back while shouting “Boo!” at the top of his voice. He didn’t know how surprised she was, but either or that was fun. post count: 1 bits so far: 50 location: Hallway J interacting with... Tinkerbell

The Devil blinked as The Black Reaper came to a stop and stepped out of the hallway, blinking at his words before snorting in a kind of agreement. Yes ... He'd just pretend it was intelligence that kept him from going down the hall rather than the fact that he was frightened. Tch.
"I don't think they're listening," He spoke with a small laugh, his voice raised some so not just The Black Reaper would hear him, but most of everyone still in the hallway. He felt rather good about himself at the moment, smirking behind his maroon colored mask. "I'm not surprised," The Devil barely had time to finish his statement before the romantic music that had been playing from down the hallway suddenly stopped... the haunting sound of some sort of chant starting up instead. The Devil felt himself freeze a little, unconsciously taking a step back and closer to the wall. He didn't know what it was about the sound of it, but... it sent a chill through him.
"Uh...maybe we should go somewhere else," his words were quieter than he'd meant for them to be, as he had wanted to speak out to the whole of Hallway I...though he doubted it even the closest person to him would hear.
Meanwhile, Chicken was staring down the hallway the Vampire Lawyer had said his friend had wandered down, giving a low whimper in worry. He didn't like being this far from his partner... especially after he'd gone through all the trouble of making sure he stayed close. Before he could bring himself to release Belle's arm however, she went and knelt down to his level. He blinked at the mask on her face, absently adjusting his own as she spoke to him. ....Dance? It really didn't take long for him to suddenly forget what he was worrying about, nodding his head happily and jittering a bit. Oh god, he couldn't believe someone actually wanted to do something with him... someone in a pretty dress none the less.
He was oblivious to the song change, mind stuck in its own little world for a moment as he nodded, almost oblivious to Belle's reaction to what was going down Hallway I... The place his partner was. All he could think about now was dancing. Did he even know how to dance? Well, he doubted it, but it sounded like something that would be fun. "Okay, okay! I wanna dance! Can weeee?!"

"Tell a group of people they'll get a reward and they'll do almost anything. ...There's bound to be some smart ones in this crowd who aren't like that though, yeah?"
..wait, there was a reward offered? He hadn't known and he wasn't sure he cared, but that at least explained the large man running past. Butterfly's behavior was self-explanatory as she was quite touchy and easily annoyed. This hallway, though.. something about it made him want to run as far away as he could, consequences be damned. He glanced back at the Black Reaper, seeming scared beneath the mask. "Uh... shouldn't someone go with them? What if they get hurt or something? Who knows what could be in that room?"
This whole thing had just taken a sharp turn for the worst. Dionysus' partner has abandoned him and while he usually wouldn't care, this place was much too unnerving to travel alone in. He was torn between staying safe, staying with the chatty group near the beginning of the hall... and following Butterfly--not out of curiosity but out of worry. The music changed again, the chanting of some ancient chorus making him even more anxious for his partner. But he knew Butterfly wouldn't respond to him if he tried to call her back, perhaps she wouldn't even hear him over the chanting.
The Butterfly in question was also growing uneasy. She unconsciously shifted closer to Beast, as if the large costumed man could protect her from whatever lay in store within the record room. It wasn't like her to rely on others, but this situation wasn't exactly normal. Not in the slightest. The chanting, the general creepiness of this whole house was getting under her skin, stripping away her confidence. Where was that stupid partner of hers when she needed him?
"Something’s wrong."
"Really? You don't say." The sarcasm was clear in her voice, but under that she was shaking like a leaf.

The Black Reaper listened quietly to what The Devil had to say, nodding in silent agreement. He knew no one was listening to him, since when did anyone listen to him aside from the Black Rider? Wait, the Devil had been listening but... Well he meant anyone other than that, anyone who was still shoving each other over to to get to the end of the hall. Beast and Butterfly certainly weren't listening to him, and while Dionysus probably heard him he wasn't entirely sure he was even in this and just happened to have gone after his companion.
He was about to say something when the music suddenly changed, the chanting and screaming getting to him rather easily... He hadn't known he was such a coward, but maybe it was just with the added atmosphere and everything. This mansion was definitely the creepiest place he'd ever been in, there was no arguing that at all. The Black Reaper suddenly had the strong urge to leave, not just the hallway but this party altogether. He found himself nodding to the Devil's words, having just barely heard him over the cacophony of screams that was coming from the end of the hall.
The Black Rider frowned behind her helmet and quietly pulled her companion closer to her, able to tell that behind that smiling mask was a look of discomfort and fear. "Do you want to leave?" She asked the Black Reaper quietly, waiting patiently for a response. Her companion didn't respond for a few moments, though it ended up being nothing more than a stiff shake of his head. He leave once everyone else had.
"Uh... shouldn't someone go with them? What if they get hurt or something? Who knows what could be in that room?"
The Black Reaper looked over at Dionysus, seeming unsure a moment before he spoke. "...They should be smart enough to come back on their own rather than go in considering what's coming out of it." He said in what he hoped was a calm voice, but instead he realized it had a definite shake to it. He swallowed hard and looked back to the hallway's entrance, then to the end where Butterfly and Beast still were. "If you go in there... I'm not sure if you're brave or just stupid!" He called out to them, though he really had no idea why he had said that.
The Black Rider figured it was just her companion's odd way of trying to get them to come back though. post count: 6 bits so far: 300 location: Hallway I interacting with... Everyone in Hallway I
