Continued From: After Hours
Kazai walked through the door to her bedroom. The room, like the rest of her house, was pretty large. She was one of the few people in Obaida to actually live in a house instead of an apartment. The house itself wasn't as large as houses in other places, but considering the location being in the middle of such a large city in Japan, it was pretty spacious. A one story house with three bedrooms. One for Kazai, one for her sister, and a master bedroom for her parents. That was much more than what they needed, but they enjoyed such commodities, or at least Kazai did.
In any case, she walked into her bedroom and took a seat on her bed, allowing her backpack to drop from her shoulders by bringing her shoulder blades much closer together. A thump would be heard as it landed. The bag opened up and a small fireball flew out.
"OWWWW!" The DemiMeramon called as she came out of the back pack quickly. She was shocked by the sudden drop. She began to suddenly run circles around Kazai's head just above her, the flames coming together to make a sort of halo.
"Oh, hush, I didn't drop you that hard," Kazai would say, brushing off the digimon's whining. It really didn't matter to her that much. Right now, and since roughly 7pm earlier in the day, she had been mainly concerned with getting the Digimon back into the computer so that she wouldn't have to deal with her any longer.
The DemiMeramon would slowly come to a hover just about a foot away from eye level with Kazai. She held an expression of disdain and began to rub the back of her head to wipe away the pain. Of course, kazai couldn't help other than to rub her eyes at how this... baby digimon, was acting like a baby!
In any case, Kazai laid back on her bed and crossed her arms behind her head to serve as a pillow. Tonight was her sleepover with Ryutaro. It was the first time she had ever invited a friend over. She had asked her parents approximately half an hour ago so that they could work on their "Chemistry Project" together, and they were simply so excited that she finally had a friend that they agreed to overlook the fact that he was a boy. Of course, Kazai was more than responsible enough to know not to go too far with a boy anyway. Besides, she didn't really like Ryutaro that much. They simply needed to figure out how to send the Digimon back into the Digital World. She sighed. DemiMeramon would then come down and land upon her stomach. Kazai was too frustrated to even push the Digimon off.
Ryutaro had made a quick run to the bathroom, but as soon as he came back, they were going to get to work, hopefully undisturbed.

As it turned out, having Kazai come along with him to his house when he told his parents about the 'project' had really worked out. They let her gender slide, probably because they figured she would keep Ryutaro in line and his focus on the so called chemistry homework all night. It seemed they were willing to try anything if it meant their son earning a decent grade in school.
But... not long after they had finally made it to her house, he had to locate the bathroom, really needing to pee. Along with him, Ryu brought his bag, because today its contents had to be kept particularly secret... A secret that he still didn't fully grasp, all this nonsense about the Digital world and Digital Monsters. It wasn't like the 'secret' junk he normally kept in his backpack. Who knew whoopee cushions, water balloons, and spray paint could be topped so hard by these digimon that even thinking of carrying any of that crap with him in his backpack again made him feel silly.
His backpack rested on the bathroom floor as Ryutaro did what he had to do. The creature hidden inside made sure not to utter the slightest sound as it was set down, lifted again, and carried once more after the boy had washed his hands and was making his way to Kazai's room.
He found her resting on her bed. "All done!" it was an unnecessary announcement, but he made it nonetheless as he placed his bag in the middle of the floor. DemiMeramon seemed relieved to be free of the bag, hovering right out of it as soon as he felt it touch the floor. He would be even more relieved once the humans had finally came up with a solution to get him and his sister back home.
"What're we gonna try now? Since we already know scanners and monitors don't work... And I couldn't think of anything while I was in the bathroom either."

"Finally! Took you long enough," Kazai said with a rather short breath. After all, patience was never her strongest suit. She hated having to wait, and especially while she had this little ball of fire following her around everywhere. No matter how hard she tried, she knew she just couldn't get rid of it. She wanted to. She didn't want to be bothered, but it would have been cold, even for her, to get rid of this Digimon and put it just out in the cold. What would happen to it if other people found the Digimon out in the wild? They would surely take it and perform cruel experiments on it. Of course, Kazai couldn't be sure, but she did think so.
"Hey Bro!" DemiMeramon said excitedly as she rushed over to her brother. She'd make her way to him and hug him once she got to him. It was a tight bear hug at that. However, with the humans both in the room, DemiMeramon's expression would soon become very serious. She knew that they needed to get back to the Digital World. The humans really didn't want to put up with them any longer, or at least Kazai didn't. It didn't seem Ryutaro wanted to be around much either.
"Well... I've got my desktop over there. You can turn that one on," Kazai said, pointing over to the desktop on the desk against the wall across from the bed. It was a nice desktop at that. Flatscreen and an apple computer with black rims. However, Kazai didn't rush to the computer at first. Instead, she made her way to the door of her bedroom and shut it. She'd then push the button on the doorknob in to lock the door shut. She didn't want her parents walking in on them and finding out about their Digimon partners.
After locking the door, she now finally made her way back to her bed and her backpack. She reached into it and pulled out a windows computer with a red plastic cover around it, which had the primary purpose of stopping it from breaking if dropped. She sat on her bed with her back against the pillows. With this done, she pressed the power button on the computer, starting it up again.
"Though I'm not really sure what to do... I guess we could begin by researching Digimon."

One of the perks of being older was that you didn't really need to be monitored by your parents at every waking moment. Though they made sure you understood the value of that trust, it was hard to not take advantage of it. But thankfully Misaka had learned that it wasn't worth the risk in disobedience, at least so long as the parents were still within the actual city. Not only that but, she really didn't need to be distracted.
Misaka was perfectly fine having a quiet night at home. While she was in charge of monitoring Kazai and her friend upstairs, the young teen was more relieved at the fact that her little sister even having a friend. Every day at school she watched the girl isolate herself and seemed to just want to be separate from the rest of the world. It worried her parents that there was something upsetting her that she wouldn't tell them, but Misaka just believed it was her not finding the right group of people or lack of desire to.
But when she heard that Kazai was to have company, she couldn't help but smile. It meant that maybe the girl was finally starting to open up. Sure, there was some concern as to the friend being a boy, but that was why she was there. There wouldn't be any fooling around on her watch. Yet the idea begged to question just how much Kazai knew about relations with the opposite sex outside of her outrageous book knowledge base?
It was enough of a question to cause the young teen to sit upright upon the living room sofa, placing her hand under her chin in thought. Should she really start this off by doing an inspection on the two? After all, it hadn't been too long since the two of them had arrived? Misaka was in charge after all, but she didn't want to ruin something that might be good for her little sister. Especially if it wasn't anything at all like she was picturing in her head. A check wouldn't be too out of the ordinary, considering how she was supposed to be looking after them.
Better come up with a decoy reason though just in case....
With her action decide, Misaka smirked as she slide off the sofa and made her way towards the kitchen. She'd provide the study buddies with a tray of snacks. That way, it would look like she was only coming in to help them in their studies with food.

DemiMeramon was taken by surprise by his sister's hug. Mainly due to the fact that they had not been apart for very long at all, but for two siblings who were almost constantly with one another, it had felt a bit odd not to hear a peep of her voice throughout the entire journey from school computer lab to human household.
Ryutaro took a seat at Kazai's computer desk. He could already tell this was going to be more difficult than simply typing 'digimon' into a search engine. Then again, they would have to start somewhere... Beginning with turning the desktop computer on. The boy pushed the button on the desktop, followed by the monitor.
"Alright, so..." Ryu searched the word 'digimon' as soon as he connected to the internet, might as well attempt it considering he didn't have any better ideas himself. Safe to day, none of the matches tht showed up for him even related to any foreign world or talking fireballs. If it was common knowledge, then they probably would have known what these creatures were in the first place.
"I'm not seeing anything on these little guys," he informed the girl, figuring she was having just as much luck as he was.
"I already told you where we came from, just get us back there!" DemiMeramon was growing impatient after all this waiting and being carried around and having to hide and... Jeez, he was just sick of it.

Apparently, finding information on these creatures known as Digimon wasn't a simple thing to do, not even on the internet. Surely, if anyone had seen one of these before there would be a blog or something. Kazai didn't even think that it was possible that they were the first one to deal with these little critters, but maybe it was possible. Or maybe they were even looking for them by the wrong name. There was no guarantee that what these little monsters called themselves was the same name that humans called them. This was so confusing.
"Well, I guess checking on the internet is pretty much the only thing that we can do right now," Kazai would say. She straightened her back as she sat up against the bed post, pillows were pressed against it somewhat comfortably. The startup screen had now finished, allowing Kazai to login to her computer and finally get online. She double clicked on the firefox tab, opening up firefox's google on her homepage, which took up a majority of the page.
"DemiMeramon?" Kazai called out curiously. The Digimon would turn around to face the girl before hovering to her side. Kazai remained very calm and complex, though even as the digimon came toward her, she didn't turn even for a moment to take a look at the creature or to truly acknowledge it.
"Any ideas?" she questioned her partner. The Digimon would shake her head, however. She had no clue how to help out in this situation. Instead, she simply began to look at the computer screen, now wondering what it was that Kazai was doing on this "Googe" search engine. Her expression was nothing aside from baffled.
"What is... Google?" DemiMeramon would ask. However, Kazai would turn to face DemiMeramon with an equally baffled expression which made DemiMeramon begin to grow a tiny bit uncomfortable with the tension between them.
"You can read?" Kazai asked before rolling her eyes. "Why not I guess? You can talk too."

"There we go...Mom would be impressed. Took a page right out of her book..."
Smiling as she crossed her arms over her chest, Misaka looked over the tray of milk and cookies with pride before nodding her head in approval. It wasn't exactly something that took a lot of time to prepare, but the teen liked taking very small victory that she could. Even if it was by simply sorting out a box of Oreo cookies in a long row beside two glasses of milk. There was a saying about enjoying the little things, and this counted as just that. Sure, she probably could have done something healthier, but it was a guest and she didn't want to sound too much like their mother when it came to healthy snack choices.
Now that I think about it though, if I give them the entire box, their won't be any left for me to eat....
Her smile fading for a moment as she raised her eye brow towards the silver serving plate before her, Misaka sighed as she shrugged her shoulders. It wasn't about her needs today, it was about Kazai. While she would love to take a row for herself, she figured that the two students would need them more than she did. If they were in fact studying. That was the whole point of her making the tray, to see if that was what they were doing. Well, that and being nice.
Picking up the long plate and holding it with one hand, the older teen walked up the stairs with her gift and made her way towards the girl's room. The door being closed, Misaka frowned as she already had a bad feeling about what was going on in there.
She better not have.....
Balancing the tray in one hand, the girl attempted to open the door only to find that it was locked. At this point, her senses were already going off. A closed door being locked. It was rule that they weren't supposed to lock their doors in till everyone had gone off to bed. It was for safety reasons. She didn't like it anymore than Kazai, but it was their parents rule so she followed it. Yet this sign of disobedience gave way to her believing that her little sister was doing something that she shouldn't.
"Kazai?........You know the doors aren't supposed to be locked...."
Sighing as her shoulders slumped over, the teen smirked as she reached into her skirt pocket to pull out a small key. It was something her parents had given her a month ago, part of them beginning to show their trust in her. It was a key that unlocked every room within the house, so that if something was wrong, she could always open a door to find out what the problem was. Of course, that wasn't supposed to be used unless it was an emergency.
Well...If saving Kazai's virginity isn't an emergency than I really don't know what a real problem is....
Placing the key into the slot within the door, Misaka turned it and then the knob as she slowly walked in with a smile.
"I know you two are working hard, but that doesn't mean you can..............."
Misaka wasn't able to finish her sentence as she stared at a sight that could only very well be seen in her nightmares. But it wasn't exactly what she had imagined to find in the room, rather the very opposite. The two young students were seated by the computer, but so were two small creatures. Both of which appeared to be on fire.
"Ah....ah.....ahhhhh"
Her smile began to twitch on both side of her face as she continued to stare, and soon her hand released the tray of snacks and allowed it to fall onto the floor, shattering the two glasses.

Click... click.. click. Ryutaro went from link to link and page to page, searching, and every few seconds he would click the mouse to go to another result that had come up when he searched 'digimon'. Still nothing though, no luck at all. Hrm... And DemMeramon wasn't doing much good with all the hovering he had been doing on the desk beside Ryu, ever since his curiosity had brought him to hop up there.
His train of thought was interrupted when a girl's voice spoke from the other side of the door. Frantically his head turned from side to side, first as he looked back at Kazai as if to ask who was on the other side of the door, but his priorities quickly changed as the doorknob distinctly began to turn, despite the fact that it had been locked a few moments ago. Ryu's eyes shot toward his partner digimon, and then darted around the room trying to figure out where to hide the creature!
Yet... it was already too late. The door opened and some teenage girl he didn't recognize came wandering right in. "Gah!" the blonde jumped out of his seat and attempted to stand in front of his DemiMeramon in a way that it might block the digimon from the girl's line of sight. Oh man... what had they done?
"Who the heck is she?!" his eyes shot back toward Kazai. Now they had screwed up that secret. This was exactly the type of thing he had been trying to avoid by not going home to his own house. "Oh... Uh... Well, uh-- Kazai...! Kazai can explain exactly what this is."

Kazai would hear the sound of her sister's voice just outside of the door. She hadn't anticipated this before. Whenever she stayed in her room, no one ever seemed to come to bother her, so she wouldn't have expected her sister to come now of all days! And it really wasn't just that! There should have been some degree of privacy! It was rude to just barge in like that! Kazai couldn't help other than to wonder as well where she had even managed to get a key from in the first place!
In any case, Kazai shot up from her bed after throwing her computer to the side so that it would land next to her on the soft mattress. The more people who got involved with this situation, the harder things would be for them. Kazai really didn't want to have to worry about anyone finding out about the Digimon. Yet here here sister was!
"Haven't you ever heard of knocking?! It's rude to barge in like that! What if I was putting clothes on or naked?! I'm your sister!" Kazai would ask with an menacing glare. She held her right index finger outstretched and pointed at her sister accusingly.
DemiMeramon quickly rushed behind Kazai and hid behind her, now shivering. She couldn't help other than to think that this girl was most likely evil, considering that Kazai didn't seem to like her that much. Of course, Kazai did like her sister... most of the time. She treated her with indifference, but deep inside, her sister was the closest thing she had to a friend, and whether that was pitiful or special could be easily misconstrued.
In any case, Kazai couldn't really think of a way to cover up the Digimon being in the room. DemiMeramon could no longer be seen and was hiding behind her, but Misaka had probably already seen her. Though, Kazai was going to make up an excuse nonetheless.
"I mean... You caught us! Ryutaro and I are are about to make out. Get out unless you want to watch, like a sicko!" Kazai said before inching over to Ryutaro. She walked the entire way with her back facing the back wall as to not give her sister another chance to see Demimeramon. Once next to Ryutaro, she'd inch in to give him a kiss on his lips and she even stuck her tongue into his mouth. After a second or two of this, she opened her eye and turned back to her sister.
"See? So get out!"

It was interesting when you see something that is beyond believable. Once upon a time, Misaka believed that just about anything was possible in the realm of fantasy. That dragons at one time lived in Japan, faeries could make wishes come true and there was a place called Candy Mountain. Of course, that was before reality set in and she learned that such things were impossible. But how did you explain something that was directly in your face and more than one person was seeing it?
We could all be high? Yea...That's it! I told dad it was a bad idea for us to move into a house, but no. They didn't want us all in an apartment! I could stand sharing a room if it didn't mean dealing with a gas leak!...
This was all denial of course. There wasn't anything wrong with the house. In fact, it had just recently been inspected and it was perfectly safe. What was happening here was reality and fantasy coming together in a very bad way for her. As Misaka continued to struggle with gathering her senses, her sister's rant about privacy was enough to shake her and even have a retort.
"One...I spoke, I didn't need to knock at that point. Two, you give up all rights to privacy when you lock your door when dad said not to. Three, why would you get naked in front of your guest? But you are right on that last one. I am your sister....Your OLDER sister in fact, meaning I've just about seen you naked on number of occasions, just not the recent upgrade. But I'm pretty sure its similar to mine..."
Crossing her arms with a frown, the young girl leaned over to the side to see the small fireball move behind Kazai's back, while the boy seemed to have moved in the path of the other. Yet as he began to speak, Misaka lifted up one finger to silence him before returning her gaze towards her younger sibling.
As the young girl began to come up with her excuse, Misaka leaned upon her hip and blinked as she watched her move towards the boy and kiss him to show that she was simply making out with the teen. While it was an interesting display, the older female rolled her eyes as her fingers tapped against the side of her rest while her arms remained over her chest.
"Cute.....But not buying it......"
From there, she looked towards the other teen in the room and pointed towards him.
"You...Start talking or I call your folks and have you explain it to them..."

Well that cleared that up. Misaka was apparently Kazai's sister, although Ryutaro probably could have figured that out for himself anyway had he been given a few seconds to actually think about it. But, given the situation, his mind was elsewhere.
The girl could have said anything to justify what they were doing behind locked doors. Anything, and it would have been better than any answer given by the boy. He and the two DemiMeramon were counting on her! But uh... that didn't go over so well. Although there had been a lack of any sort of formal introduction, Ryu's eyes were entirely focused on the older sister. Not only was he worried that she had seen the fireball, he was almost completely certain that she had seen both digimon.
And while his attention was on the older of the two Yamashitas, Kazai was apparently already initiating her plan to get her sister to go away. Ryu was blindsided by the kiss, and then some, yet he held his ground until she pulled away. As soon as her lips were no longer touching his though, the boy turned his head to the side and furiously spat out her saliva onto the floor beside him, making it seem as though the kiss had tasted vile.
And as if he had not been tortured enough already, now Ryu opened his eyes to find the older girl jabbing her finger at him, pointing accusingly. She was asking... him the question now? If this was how it had to be, he really didn't see it turning out well for them. "These things, they uh, popped out of the computer... At first, we were confused, but then you know, the weird things started taaaalking," come to think of it, this girl might not even believe a word of his story anyway, despite it being the truth. "Aaaand so we've been trying to get them back into the monitor ever since," Ryu finished that last sentence quickly and then waited to see how the teenager would take it.

"Shut up! That's probably the only kiss you'll get for the rest of your life!" Kazai spat at Ryutaro less than satisfied at his reaction from her kiss, particularly the way he spat up and acted as though it was the most disgusting thing he had ever experienced. She was angered by such a reaction. She looked away from him stubbornly, crossing her arms.
"Hmph!"
In addition, Kazai's plan hadn't done much as far as convincing her sister to leave, but by the seem of it, she was no longer thinking about the fireballs or anything. Her attention had been averted, and maybe, just maybe, she would no longer think about the little Digimon and the two of them would be able to find a way to hide it. The chances of that happening were highly improbable, but the chances now were greater, and if not, then, she had at least stalled her sister finding out the truth of Digimon for a little bit longer, at least until Ryutaro spilled the beans.
Of course, it was rising in Kazai's mind... why did they even care to hide the Digimon? It didn't matter. Sure, people might start to perform cruel experiments on the little creatures, but why should she care? It wasn't like DemiMeramon was her problem. Even if they dissected DemiMeramon or killed it, it would all be for the good of science, right? All animals at one point were studied, killed, and used as test subjects at one point in time. It didn't matter. Kazai finally shrugged.
"Whatever. You know what? These things are too much trouble! You're too much trouble!" Kazai would say, now turning to Ryutaro with her finger pointed at him accusingly. She was irritated at first that he hadn't even tried to keep the secret, and now what's more that she had to deal with the Digimon in the first place.
"I don't care!"
Kazai reached her hand back behind her jacket and pulled DemiMeramon by her right hand before pulling the Baby Digimon off of her back. She held DemiMeramon out for her sister to see clearly and plainly. At this point, there would be no going back.
"We discovered a new species of 'animals'. Real life monsters at that, and there's a place called the Digital World. Tomorrow, we're going to go report this information to the news, see if there's a way to make money from it, and cash in," Kazai said, turning her head to DemiMeramon. Sure, chances were that the government would take control of it if she told someone, but it hardly mattered.
"Nnnngh! Let me go!" DemiMeramon said as she tried to break away from Kazai's grasp. She didn't like being handled like this, and she could hear an obvious rancor within Kazai's voice.
"Why should I care what happens to her when the world finds out?"

Misaka couldn't help but smirk somewhat as the boy began to explain the situation. Though as he told her the story, the more she wasn't sure if she should believe it. After all, since when did things just come out of the computer? In all the time she used her laptop, nothing ever came out and landed on her lap? But then, how else could you explain it? While she wanted to actually believe that these things were simply toys, the way she had seen them react towards her appearance, there was no way it could be fake.
Yet before she could even say anything, Kazai then began to go on a rant. Within moment, the teen was holding the small fireball towards her and telling her that she planned on turning them in. It was enough to make Misaka take on a blank expression. The girl was obviously overwhelmed, maybe even simply still upset at the fact that something she had done was now pretty much exposed. Either way, something about the way she was talking, it didn't sound like her.
"Kazai............"
Walking over towards her, the older teen looked at her directly in the face and frowned as she extended her hand and flicked her forehead with her index finger. It was something she always did when Kazai seemed to be either doing something wrong or becoming upset over nothing.
"If you really didn't care you would have done it already. Obviously you do, so you can trying to say you don't....."
Smiling at her younger sibling as she stood over her, the teenager sighed before looked now at the creature and blinking.
"Digital world huh? So it's a world within the computer?"

Ugh... Now Kazai was mad at him, clearly she had taken the whole kiss thing badly. But as it stood in Ryutaro's mind, he was the victim here, he should have been the one getting upset that she had gone and shoved her stupid tongue down his throat...!
At first, he turned red at her remark. But it faded quickly. Why in the world would he ever want to act out that scene again? He couldn't fathom kissing a girl before she had forced herself onto him, and still Ryu couldn't bear the thought of it now! Blegh.
And now yet another finger was being pointed in his direction. This time it belonged to the unhappy Kazai. Kazai-chan, an unlikely friend he had made that afternoon? Nah, apparently not. Apparently she didn't even like being around him. Her words cut him deeper than he would have thought they would, the same words he had heard before on multiple occasions, but never from one of his so called friends.
The girl was beginning now to explain to her sister the concept of digimon, or at least, the little they knew of it through what their digimon partners had told them. While she was busy doing that, Ryutaro grabbed his bag from where he had left it on the floor. Then back over to the desk, where he was able to get his DemiMeramon to hop into the confines of his backpack without so much as a word from either of them.
He put the bag over his shoulder and barely glanced back at them, then he began to speak in a sullen tone. "Fine, I'll just go figure it out on my own. I wouldn't wanna cause you anymore trouble," there was a hint of sarcasm toward the end as he headed for the door.

Somehow, Misaka's flick to Kazai's forehead had taken Kazai by surprise. It really shouldn't have. She should have been expecting it. She should have been able to read her sister's body language as she marched toward her, but no, Kazai still couldn't read it. At least, not in time enough to block it. Still! What was that for?! So rude! Kazai had been in the right the whole time! Hadn't she? The Digimon meant nothing to her!
"Waaah! She's crazy!" DemiMeramon said as she flew out from Kazai's grasp now that the girl was distracted and hid behind Misaka, clutching to her shirt in between the girl's shoulder blades. In the meantime, Kazai had lifted both her hands onto her forehead to rub the spot where her sister had flicked her.
"Gah! Fine! I care!" Kazai spat, but in all honesty, she wasn't even sure if she cared any more. She had been serious about everything that she had said and she wasn't going to take it back, but at the same time, if her sister thought that was the wrong thing to do and thought that it was selfish, she'd agree to change her own methods.
However, all the while Kazai noticed that Ryutaro was making his leave right now. Kazai honestly wasn't sure what to say to him. She had obviously hurt his feelings, but did that make her feel bad? Not really. She had meant it. He was a lot of trouble. She had never liked him that much, and they didn't have anything in common... at least until now.
"Wait." "Wait! Brother don't leave!"
Kazai and DemiMeramon called out simultaneously. Kazai's voice was calm and collected, however DemiMeramon's was frantic and concerned. She released her clasp from Misaka's shirt and rushed over to her brother giving him a hug. She didn't want to be separated from him and alone... especially not with Kazai right now. However, Kazai remained serious, though she was reluctant to speak again.
"I'm sorr-..." An apology was coming. It would be her attempt to show him a semblance of respect. He deserved it, right? As someone who she had begun to connect with so much in the course of one night... but she just couldn't get the words out. It wouldn't work. Kazai crossed her arms before rolling her eyes and looking away from him stubbornly.
"Nevermind, go ahead. Have fun walking home by yourself! It's going to rain tonight too!" Kazai finally said, sticking her tongue out at him menacingly.
