While Ryusuke did relax slightly as Renamon began moving away from Valus, he still did not like how the overall discussion had gone. Yes, he'd gotten information that would prove much more helpful than it had initially sounded when combined with what he already knew and a little common sense as well as the information that her digimon had provided, but more than anything he'd been trying to avoid any information that would lead Renamon into conflict later, something that she seemed hellbent on doing, and it wasn't like he could have told Valus to shut the hell up - the little bastard probably would've just kept talking to spite him, and Renamon would've been upset with him as well. He couldn't blame her, but revenge was more or less pointless - an eye for an eye never worked, it just left both parties weaker than they had been from the start. Given Ryusuke's current goal of getting back home he knew he wouldn't be there to try and keep her from going after the group Valus had mentioned, but she'd done enough for him that he would've felt guilty not having done anything towards that end, but that was neither here nor there. He'd just need to think of something before they located the tower and he found the portal Shion had mentioned.
As Monodramon moved out of Shion's way and she began to move down the stairs, Renamon spoke to him, expressing a mutual desire to leave now that they both had what they'd wanted. Ryusuke simply nodded blankly as he moved to follow Shion and BlackGabumon down the stairs, pausing once to glance back at Valus, who was stiff and unmoving as ModokiBetamon was clearly livid with him, although Ryusuke may have been reading her wrong - he doubted it, though. He also doubted that it was ModokiBetamon that had Valus upset, either - in the short time since they'd met Ryusuke had already figured out that the other man lived on spite, and that having other people angry with him more or less actually made his life easier, but while Ryusuke understood that it didn't allow him to comprehend it. Ryusuke had never been particularly comfortable with the idea of people being upset with him unless there was mutual dislike or if it was in the heat of the moment, but then again he knew he had a rather unusual view on his own mortality and as such didn't like leaving things unsettled. Shrugging internally but still slightly uncomfortable about leaving Valus where he was, Ryusuke turned and began walking towards the stairs, Monodramon moving to follow.
