THE NEXT DAY... gym class
And another day of school had finally arrived. Kazai was starting to hate school more and more every single day. To think, it was only 10am right now, and they were stuck at school, in one of Kazai's least favorite of all classes, gym. At least they had the freedom to decide what it was they wanted to do today at gym. It was essentially a 55 minute free period for them to enjoy themselves at the pool. This didn't mean Kazai was looking forward to it any more.
All of the other girls had pretty much left the locker room and had gone into the pool. Kazai, however, was taking her time. There really wasn't much of a rush to go in. It wouldn't be very fun. Plus, she knew that boy she had rejected the day before was probably out there as well. He wasn't in many of her classes, but gym was the class which everyone of her age group had to participate in. Then again, she wasn't so worried about him either. It was just, seeing him might be a bit awkward. Nonetheless, about 15 minutes of doing absolutely nothing in the locker room had made Kazai rather board.
I guess I'll go sit in the hot tub, Kazai sighed. She stood up from the bench she was sitting on and made her way to the exit of the girl's locker room. It wasn't long before she made her way to the hot tub. She climbed up the steps, using the rail to aid her up. She dipped her right toe in. It felt pretty hot. Probably about 103 degrees Farenheit. Following this, she slid in all the way, slowly and gently and leaned back at the end.
Strangely enough, there were no other students in here. They must have forgotten that they had the option of using it as well. Everyone else was now in the pool. She could hear their screaming and cheering as they played water polo and jumped off of the diving boards. How boring.

Hiro had no real opinion of Gym, that is to say he had never given very much thought to being upset at having to do it. In the boys locker room he was the first to get changed into his swimsuit, the result of which exposed his body. Muscular, tight, firmed, highly unusual for someone as clumsy and awkward as Hiro. He was just naturally gifted in terms of physique. Walking out the the pool the teacher stopped him, last time he fall into the pool and hit his head on the bottom. His clumsy nature prevented him from being allowed near the pool, instead she sent him to the hot tub. Less of a safety hazard.
Walking quietly, almost a tiptoe, he couldn't see anyone else around as he made his way there. His bandages were obviously gone now and the underlying scrapes and cuts weren't bad at all. Most of his wounds were healed though Hiro always wears the bandages as a force of habit. Up the stairs he climbed, slowly, almost as if hovering at a snails pace. Reaching the top his eyes met with Kazai's, herself in the hot tub. Hiro lifted his hand slight, waving slowly. This was the first good look that Kazai had gotten at his body and it was in such a... revealing outfit. Let's just say that the most impressive part of Hiro was below the waist and in his tight swim trunks, it was instantly apparent. "D-don't think I am following you... th-they don't let me go in the... pool anymore... too clumsy..." Hiro sat on the side of the hot tub, not going inside of it. Looking down at his feet as he sat indian style.

Kazai's head would turn as she witnessed Hiro coming into the hot tub. She hadn't meant to look, but she noticed that bulge in his bathing suit, and to be completely frank, she didn't look away. She sort of stared at it for a couple seconds before looking up and scanning the rest of his body. He was a lot more muscular and tone than she ever would have imagined before when she had seen him with his clothes on. Somehow, it didn't fit to her. He was much too nerdy to have a body like what he had. He was hot... kind of. A 'butterface' perhaps.
However, it made her wonder what he would look like with a little makeover. His face wasn't that bad, but all the bandages he usually wore and the way that his hair was so messy. Those didn't contribute to good looks. Maybe with just a tad bit of make up and a new hair style, he could be pretty sexy. The attitude would also have to change just a bit, but she wasn't a miracle worker or anything.
"Oh, I wouldn't think that you were following me for a second, Hiro-kun," Kazai scoffed. She was almost sure that he was following her. In all honesty, she didn't believe him. However, she never believed people quickly anyway. She was a pessimist. She always looked for the bad in someone before she would look to their positive features. In fact, she almost never looked for positive features. She really didn't see any in most people.
Kazai scooted over a few feet to the right to give him some room to sit down near the entrance. She realized he probably could have simply gone somewhere else on the hot tub instead, and she almost wanted to slap herself in the face for making the room for him to sit right next to her, but if they were next to each other, at least she wouldn't have to sit there with him looking at her all awkwardly.

Noticing her scoot over a bit, Hiro hesitated for a moment and slowly slipped himself in the hot tub. Across from Kazai, however, he did not look at her. His actions were not the same as they were yesterday. It was true he had been shot down but he was no stalker or anything, he didn't have the energy for that. Picking his hand up from the water and scratching his head slowly. Sniffing a little bit and looking toward Kazai, though not like yesterday. It was almost as if he wasn't infatuated with her at all. "W-why are you he-here alone?" Turning his head around some, looking to see if perhaps she had a friend on the way. Nothing he could hear or see.
"O-one would assume you... have lots of friends... judging by y-your looks... and... stature..." Lifting his head up slightly to her, then tilting it back down. Awaiting her response while he slowly moves his hands underneath the water, feeling the resistance of the water against his skin. It was a beautiful thing to Hiro, who loved nature more than people however he rarely got to watch it or live in it while in this metropolis.

Why was she here alone? Why didn't she have any friends?
That was a difficult question to answer. Obviously, this would mean omitting Petitmamon who was truly the only friend she had ever had and likely would ever have. Kazai sighed. The first answer that would come to her mind was simply because she was nothing like her sister. Her sister, Yamashita Misaka, had plenty of friends. She had a lot of friends. Everyone loved her. She was sexy. She was cuter. She was nicer. The only positive trait Misaka had that was lower than Kazai was intelligence. Yes, Kazai was much more intelligent, but much less skillful as well. Her sister could beat her up on any day, as she had proved many times in the martial arts class, and a couple more times at home.
And something else that he had brought up. Her looks. He couldn't possibly think she was that pretty, and if he did, it was most definitely because he didn't know her sister yet and was unable to compare the two of them. As soon as he saw her next to her sister, his opinion would most definitely change. Because yes, they looked alike, but next to each other, Kazai was sure that all of her flaws would come to surface.
"Because I want to be alone," she answered his question quite simply. This, of course, was indicative to the fact that maybe she simply wanted him to leave as well. She wouldn't say it straight forward, but that was how she was feeling at the given moment. She'd cross her legs and continued to look at him, a bit perplexed as to what he was thinking.

Hiro, obviously not getting the point, sniffed his nose some more and sat quiet. Thinking for a bit. Attempting to process just what was going on with her psychologically, he knew simply it was something yet he didn't have enough bits and pieces to bring it all together. "I-I can... understand that I s-suppose..." Picking his hand up to his mouth, biting on his thumb hard. Hiro really didn't have much to say to this half naked woman whom just yesterday he asked out on a lovers tryst of sorts. "I-I know why you... rejected me... it's my face isn't it?" He traces his own jaw line with his fingers, eyes staring blankly at the space behind Kazai, though not directly at her. He didn't have many scars surprisingly, he had very good skin actually. His fingers attempting to pluck at bandages that just simply were not there.
"I g-get it... my face isn't as good... as yours." Tapping his chin lightly, stretching out his back slowly, contracting the muscles in his body, showing off even more definition inadvertently. "S-so tell me something you've... never told anyone..." Hiro often asked this question, it was a good way to probe into people and even when they denied to say anything that too said a lot about their personality. He stayed still in the hot tub, not even moving and inch toward her.

Why was he still talking to her? She didn't know. She thought that their conversation would have been over by now. She thought that he would be done talking to her. Apparently, there was some reason or another for which he wanted to stay here and talk to her, not that he really have anything to give. That was why she didn't care to have relationships, friendship or otherwise. Nobody had anything to give her, and she had nothing that she wanted to give to anyone else.
However, he did trail onto the reasons for why she had said she didn't want to date him. Well, he had gotten one of the reasons why, but that wasn't the only reason. Granted, she wasn't going to deny what he had said. Luckily, he had moved on though and hadn't stayed fixated on that one topic.
"Why?" was the only question that she could ask. She had already answered his question secretly within her own head, but she wasn't going to say that to him. She really only had one secret, and she wasn't going to tell that to him. It was much too embarrassing, and she didn't know him anyway.

"I g-guess never mind..." A defensive reaction to a fairly innocent question. To simply ask why, to demand a reason behind something so innocent could only mean her secret was either very large or very embarrassing. She had shot down every point of conversation he had, relegating Hiro to simply looking down at the refraction of his body in the water. Distorted limbs and forms, shapes, being shown through the hot cauldron of water. The period was still nowhere near over and Hiro had plenty of time to enjoy himself with yet another wonder of nature.
His mind began to wander away from her, away from Kazai and to another place. It was a dead end with her. He thought about Agumon in his room right now, probably bored, probably going through his things. Hiro lived alone at this point in a rather small, cramped apartment. He didn't have much in the way of world possessions and his family was all too far away. Never knowing his father, he never had any advice as a child and the day his mother vanished he was on his own. Hiro never had any friends, besides Agumon and even still that was only recently. He wasn't very good at this or anything and it showed, he was trying though. He was trying for the first time and he was burning up in the atmosphere of Kazai's personality. Hiro prepared himself for the night shift at his job tonight, wondering if his boss would yell at him again for dropping things.

It appeared that Hiro had stopped talking now. That wasn't so bad. She really didn't mind. It wasn't like the two of them had anything to talk about anyway. Kazai leaned her head back and rested with her eyes closed. She was starting to feel pretty bored. There wasn't really anything to do at this point. What would they have to talk about in the first place? He didn't really want to talk about anything of interest to her, and she didn't really have any topic to bring up either. They could simply lie here and enjoy themselves in the heat.
Like this, Kazai could easily fall asleep. If only she were tired. Unfortunately, she wasn't tired in the slightest. This left her sitting here, awake, with the boy who had asked her out and apparently had some kind of feelings for her where she didn't even know why. She didn't understand him in the least bit. Boys were so silly and stupid. She had thought that for a while now and it wasn't going to change any time soon. The only two boys who she had a lot of respect for were her brother and father.
Ten minutes would pass without a single word. However, after all of that time, Kazai would finally open her eyes and take a moment to look at him. Curiosity was finally starting to take hold of her.
"So, if I did go out with you... what would you do?"

"What would I d-do...?" Hiro tilted his head up to the ceiling, the bright lights shining in his eyes. He had no idea to be honest. The only relationship advice he had ever gotten was from TV dramas he would watch late at night after coming home from work. Slowly and carefully he opened his mouth to orate the thought he had brewing in his mind. "I guess I would... take you pl-places and... b-buy you things... and... we would talk.... o-or you could talk and I can listen..." Hiro scratched his head slowly, that sounded about right to him. He leaned back a little bit on the edge of the hot tube, his eyes moving toward Kazai again. Red, empty, aimless.
"W-why? Wh-what would you do?" Was it out of line to ask that question? Hiro didn't mind so much. If it was fair for one it was fair for the other. The fact that she would care enough to ask must have meant she was at least humoring the idea in her head. A humor that could infect her mind and turn into infatuation. Hiro tried not to stare at her but really, she was beautiful and a rare thing for Hiro to see. His eyes slowly moving away before it got too weird...

The things that he had said didn't sound terrible. She was bored most of the time, but having someone to help her, and especially someone with a digimon like Agumon, didn't sound that bad. His digimon was pretty big. He seemed bad as well, much more dangerous than Petitmamon at that. She couldn't help other than to wonder if... maybe he could help Witchmon come closer to fulfilling her dreams. Granted, that wasn't Kazai's ultimate concern.
A lackie sounded nice. Taking her places? She didn't like to go places very often, but she supposed she could do that. After all, eventually she'd have to figure out how to get to the Digital World, and when she did do that, she'd have places to go. Buying her things? That sounded sweet, and it was most definitely a sign of affection. She didn't really need anyone to buy her things, but simply having someone doing that would make her feel pretty good. That and, having a boyfriend before her sister had one would probably make her jealous.
"I don't know. I'd kiss you or something," Kazai answered his question. That was pretty much all that she could come up with right now. She had no better ideas. She knew what her mom did for her dad. That was actually a lot, and there was much more love involved. Right now, Kazai didn't really even have any feelings for him. His body was hot. That was about it. They had really just met yesterday.

"That s-sounds nice..." Hiro stood up, his body exposed from the knees up again, stretching once more, paying no mind to Kazai in front of him as his body twisted and contorted. He began to look down at her, slightly puzzled look on his face. She actually answered his question. Hiro knew she vastly underestimated him and by extension of such was probably going to try and manipulate his feelings. She wasn't very kind, not as kind as she looked anyway. An innocent soft face hid the heart of a monster and Hiro was planning to fall right in to her trap. He sat back down slowly, tugging at his own hair a bit that was now damp.
Dunking himself under the water briefly just to get it over with, the hot water baptizing his face and a new energy coming over his body. That new energy didn't amount to much, however, and Hiro was still as lifeless as ever. His hair now slicked back, a better view of his face in line and his eyes meeting with Kazai's again. He did not smile, though he would have liked to if he had the capability for it. He waited for a reply, or even some sort of reaction. He was watching the movements of her face very carefully as well.

That sounds nice. Kazai wasn't sure. Kissing him wouldn't be hard. She had kissed someone before, Ishida Ryutaro, to be exact. And the only reason she had even kissed him was to disgust her sister and prove a point. There had been no feelings involved with that, though of course, that was different too. Ryutaro didn't even like her. Of course, if she were with Hiro, it would most likely be totally different.
Kazai leaned her head back and rested it against the hot tub. She wasn't sure what to say at this point. Did she want to rope herself into a relationship already? Sure, she could rub it in her sister's face all she wanted that she had a relationship first, but the prize would also need to be a bit more... impressive. Kazai examined Hiro for a moment. He was pretty hot now that she got a good look at him. She could go for that. Kissing him wouldn't be too hard, and she could easily come to like it. She had only kissed once before, and it felt pretty good.
"I'll tell you what," Kazai began. ""I'll date you if you can stop stuttering so much."
It may not have been a fair condition, and stopping himself from stuttering would probably be impossible, or close to impossible, but simply put, she didn't think that her sister would be jealous if he kept that up. Misaka would just think that Kazai had gone for the first guy she could get and that he wasn't a real catch and had something wrong with him. However, if they could get rid of that speech impediment... then... She would see how hot he was, and Kazai would surely showcase his sexy body.
"How's that?"

Hiro bit his thumb, it wasn't a conscious thing, his stutter that is. He would just have to make a conscious effort to stop it. Inhaling slowly then exhaling. "I can try... I guess..." Saying the words carefully, it wasn't too difficult a thing. Especially considering how many people he has seen talk, it was coming on more and more natural. "It isn't so difficult, well, not stuttering anyway. It only ever happened due to my not having a reason not to stutter... but... I guess now I have a reason." Despite that semi-sweet sentiment, Hiro's face still didn't budge.
Still sitting across from her in the hot tub. Slowly sinking down to his chin, as if sliding in his seat in the middle of a class. "So does this mean we..." He didn't finish his sentence, simply staring at Kazai with his blank eyes. Waiting for her response, perhaps it would be good. Or perhaps she only said she would date him if his stutter stopped because she thought it impossible. Either way his stutter itself was on the downturn and as such he was betting she would recant her offer and was preparing to leave in such a case.

How quickly he had stopped stuttering was nothing less than a surprise to Kazai. She didn't think that he would be so able to do it. Up until now, she had figured that it was a speech impediment or a disorder of some kind. Most guys didn't stutter naturally unless they were nervous about something, and considering that she had heard him stutter before when he wasn't even paying much attention to her, she could figure that he wasn't stuttering just because he was nervous around her.
"Yes, it means you're my boyfriend." Kazai answered his question by finishing his sentence for him. It was that simple. What this meant was more obligation for him than it was for her. By the conditions they had given to each other, he would have to do all of those things he said, and upon her request of course, and in return, she would spend time with him and kiss him. It sounded fair enough to her.
She took a moment to look at him. She then turned around. She could see the clock mounted on the wall above the coach's desk. There was still another half hour of class and not really anything to do. Kazai really wasn't sure of what to say now. Things were most likely going to get awkward again, at least that was how she was feeling. Maybe they needed a new topic... or maybe she would just go for a swim and leave him here alone for a while so she could think about what she had just done.
She really wasn't worried though. She didn't mind being his girlfriend. It wasn't like she was planning on dating anyone anyway. The experience could never hurt, right? She couldn't see herself opening up her emotions, but that wasn't really a part of their agreement. maybe it would happen, and maybe it wouldn't. But either way, truth be told, she didn't care about anyone who wasn't a part of her direct family. Not even her cousins.
"Ooooookay."
