The bell rang.
Just another boring day of boring little classes. Kazai hated it. She didn't want to be in here when she had something entirely different on her mind. Still, digimon. That was all she was thinking about, and for the past few days, she had been seeing so many of them. It was so peculiar. Before she met Petitmamon, she hadn't seen even a single Digimon. Not one.
For now, Kazai sat in the very back of her class. The back and center. There was nobody else sitting on her row. However, at least back here she could keep Petitmamon hidden in her backpack and leave it open so that Petitmamon could have some air to breath and occasionally speak to her. Now that class was over and everyone was pretty much leaving, Kazai picked up her backpack and placed it on her desk. She'd peer into the backpack to where Petitmamon was resting.
"How are you doing in there?" Kazai asked her Petitmamon. She looked fine in there though. She was simply relaxing and using this time to sleep. She really didn't like being awake during the day anyway. She was mostly a nocturnal Digimon.
"I'm fine. Just resting." Petitmamon answered.

"One... two... three... four..." Hiro was knelt down in the corner of the school yard. The counting was his way of keeping track of how many students were walking out of the school, none of them noticed him at all. They simply acted as if there was nothing there at all. A straw stuck in his mouth, every so often Hiro would suck up some coffee milk from the carton resting on his knee. The sucking and slurping sounds a bit loud, still, no one even bothered to turn their head. Agumon in the bushes behind Hiro, arms folded and beck resting against a wall.
"Can we get out of here, Hiro? Why do you stay at school for so long?" Agumon spoke, a deeper voice than an average Agumon yet not in a demonic sense. Hiro didn't answer, still kneeling down he simply sucked up the rest of his coffee milk before throwing it into the garbage bin a few feet to his right. A skillful shot without looking, Hiro standing back up and tilting his head back to Agumon.
"Stay here Agumon. I am not sure if everyone has left yet..." Agumon didn't say anything, simply letting out a harrumph of sorts as Hiro walked slowly into the school. His hands in his pockets, making his way back to a class he had during the day in order to pick up his bag he had inadvertently left behind before he got occupied counting the people leaving the school. After sliding the door open to the room, Hiro fell inside flat on his face. His bandages falling off somewhat, leaving the cuts on his face exposed. Smashing his nose on the way down, blood began to drip down his face. Standing up as if nothing happened and slowly turning his head toward the girl in the classroom. An unexpected turn of events as he thought everyone had left. His red hair and eyes seeming to glow with the sun coming through the window. Not saying a word, only staring at her.

As soon as Kazai heard someone entering into the room, she quickly closed her backpack, not giving her Petitmamon a chance to finish whatever it was she was about to say. Kazai wouldn't risk her Digimon being discovered by anyone who wasn't a digidestineds, although she wasn't even sure quite yet why she had to be so secretive. It was mostly because her sister had told her that they needed to keep the discovery of Digimon to themselves.
In any case, she continued to mind her own business, just sitting there. In order to pretend like she belonged in here, she'd start putting her colored pencils together neatly and pretend like she was about to pack them. However, she'd soon witness the boy, Hiro, fall down flat on his face. How embarrassing to watch something like that. She simply looked away and continued to organize the papers and pencils on her desk... at least for a few more moments.
Why is he staring at me? she asked herself. She didn't want to pay him any attention, but she could feel it from her peripheral vision... and it was getting to the point that it was somewhat awkward. After a moment or two, she couldn't take it any more and she made eye contact with him. There was an intense glare from her own eyes.
"Take a picture! It'll last longer!" she snapped at him. "No camera? Then stop staring!"

"Ca... mera?" Hiro spoke softly, perplexed. Blood still pouring down his face from his nose, however he had not even flinched and still doesn't do anything about the amount of blood pouring down his face. His eyes were fixated on her though on no particular parts of her body, as if he was staring around her and not at her. Pupils a bit dilated, speaking again. "W-why are... you in here...?" Speaking again, slowly he moved toward her for a few steps before turning his body around and picking up the black leather attache case on the ground. "School is... over..." His pause was uncalled for, though his speech pattern by definition was very unorthodox.

"Well, school just let out," Kazai answered his question. It wasn't a particularly difficult one to answer for her, even if that wasn't the only answer. She did want to talk to Petitmamon. She'd let her out to breath soon, but she couldn't do that while this kid from her class was in here. Hiro, was his name. She knew him. But she couldn't go so far as to say she liked him. She didn't like anyone in her class.
Alone. Friendless. That was how Kazai usually was. She never really asked anyone for anything, and she never gave anything to anyone. The only friends she had were her family members. And her sister couldn't really be considered a friend. After all, Kazai secretly loathed her to some extent. She was so much prettier. People liked her so much more. All Kazai had was her intelligence.
As Hiro probably knew, she was also a part time university student. Everyone knew. Kazai's entire class. People looked up to her often in that way. But no one really looked at her under any different light. She was simply a mathematical genius and nothing more or less. Her peers knew she was smart, but that didn't make them like her. She didn't care.
"I'm getting packed up. I was reviewing my notes," she answered him. She then rolled her eyes. She simply didn't want to deal with this right now. She couldn't get her mind off of Digimon. She still had yet to figure out how it was possible to get to the Digital World. That mystery was something she was still looking to solve.
"Is there something else i can help you with?"

"Reviewing your... notes...? Why the... colored pencils then?" Hiro spoke again, the words falling out of his mouth practically and fumbling into the girls ear much like Hiro himself would fumble down stairs. His eyes still fixated on her space, though halfway closed now and his nose finally stopped bleeding. Hiro ignored the large red lines of blood that were beginning to dry down his face, sniffling softly scratching the back of his head and letting out a small yawn of boredom. "You were just... mindless toiling... I can tell... you are lying..." Speaking again, his words slow still. The unique, inductive side of Hiro shining through. A bit of a detective of sorts due to his immense people watching habit, he was able to easily discern actions even in strangers.
Picking up his case slowly, slinging it over his shoulder, now standing closer to the girl and still looking down at her. Scratching the back of his head with his free hand again and tugging at it softly with his fingers. Hiro was essentially a ghost in the world of school, despite those rumors about him, few people here even knew his name. He didn't know anything about this girl, though, and did not care to find out. He knew at least she was lying.

"Yeah... ok..."
So he somehow had a sense that she was lying. It was odd that he could read her so well considering that she hardly knew him, but it hardly mattered. So what if he thought she was a liar? It didn't matter. She didn't care. He simply had some spectacular sense of intuition. She couldn't help that. She'd just have to deal with it. And it wasn't like being caught in this lie by him would be detrimental to her reputation.
"Is there something that you want?" She asked him again as he came closer to her. After this, she put her colored pencils together, into her pouch, and back into the front compartment of her backpack. She was just about ready to go at this point.
"Trying to ask me out or something?" She asked him with a bit of a chuckle.

"Ask... out? Where would we go? By out do you mean..." Hiro, putting his thumb to his mouth and biting down on his nail hard. Turning around quickly and walking away without saying much more. His footsteps reverberating through the otherwise empty room. "I might want to go anywhere w-with you. You are b-beautiful." Tilting his head back, looking at her one more time. The blood on his face still there, down to his lips from his nose. Slowly wiping it away with a handkerchief in his pocket, tucking it away in his pocket again.
Slinging his attache case over his shoulder again, exiting the classroom and walking through the hallway. In the back of his mind Hiro could see her face, he didn't smile though he would have liked to. Sniffling all the way down to the school yard again, waving toward the bushes were Agumon was hiding. "Where did you go Hiro, I have been out here forever! You have to walk faster. Have a backbone!" Agumon, leaping from the bushes and stamping his foot down toward Hiro and semi-scolding him. Hiro didn't notice.
"Sorry. There was a g-girl..." Looking up at the now red sky, wiping his arm against his nose again.
"H-hey! Hiro! What happened to your face! I can't leave you alone for a second!" Hiro didn't move, somewhat waiting for the girl to pass him again as she left. Agumon still out in the open.

Kazai was left dumbfounded at Hiro's statement. She hadn't been expecting for him to say that he would ask her out. He had obviously neglected to notice what she had intended to be a most obvious form of sarcasm. Did he really think that he was cute enough for her? No. She wasn't as hot as her sister, not even close, but still... she knew she was pretty hot... or at least she liked to pretend that she was. Despite the fact that she was cursed with being flatchested to the extreme. Too small to be mosquito bites.
She hoped she was a late bloomer.
In any case, Hiro left into the hallway without another word. She didn't even get a chance to ask him if he was serious... and technically, he didn't even ask her out, so it wasn't like what he had said really mattered. She could simply pretend like he hadn't said it. She knew he didn't mean it. He was just nervous because of how awkward the situation was.
"Kazai-chan?! What does 'asking out' mean?" Came the muffled voice of Petitmamon from inside of her back pack.
"Gah! Forget it!" Kazai spat. She took her backpack and placed the straps over her shoulders again. With that, she went back into the school's hallways and prepared to make her exit. However, on her first few steps out of the school, she saw it. He had something next to him... which appeared to be a Dinosaur? She couldn't believe it. Perhaps she should have paid it more attention. It may have been a Digimon, or her eyes could be deceiving her.... There were so many possibilities, but Kazai always did her best to mind her own business.
As such, she just continued to walk. She'd walk past him. She was definitely going to regret this later. She knew she'd want to find out what that thing was. The curiosity would kill her, but it didn't matter. She enjoyed thinking that she was someone who could just mind her own business.

"H-hiro! It's a person!" Agumon extended his hand toward Kazai, a bit dumbfounded and angry at himself for getting caught off guard as such. Stammering his words and backing up a little bit, mouth still agape from the last syllable Agumon spoke. Hiro simply stared up at the sky still, snapping his fingers a little bit in Agumon's direction. Moving his neck down and looking to Kazai again. Eyes still fairly emotionless, the remains of dried blood still on his face. From his pocket pulling out a few fresh bandages and covering the bits of scrapes and scars that came uncovered.
"It's okay Agumon. It's the girl from before. You look too c-calm for s-someone that has just seen a m-monster..." Working his induction again, face emotionless giving him a bit of a creepy robotic vibe.
"Who are you calling a monster?!" Agumon stamping his foot down and getting into Hiro's face a little bit, Hiro just slowly patting his head and calming Agumon down a great deal. Agumon folding his arms over his chest, turning his back to Hiro. "Just... don't call me a monster..."
"I am so-rry Agumon. O-one would assume seeing an other worldly creature would shock most." Still looking in the direction of Kazai. Face still blank and emotionless, sun setting behind him.

Upon hearing him speak to her, Kazai stopped again. She was calm for someone who had seen a monster, and while this monster in front of her was much bigger than any she had seen so far, aside from Witchmon (whom she hardly considered a monster), she wasn't scared much. Of course, she wouldn't get scared while she had Petitmamon in the backpack wrapped around her shoulders anyway. Nonetheless, she was now sure that the dinosaur was a Digimon. She had heard it's name, and it ended with that ever so common "-mon."
She examined his Agumon momentarily. She considered bringing out her Petitmamon to show him why she wasn't surprised, but she knew much better than that. He could get his Digimon caught all he wanted to. That didn't mean she was going to compromise Petitmamon's safety. Plus, Petitmamon had probably fallen asleep once again by now.
"You must not care about what happens to your partner there," Kazai began. She rolled her eyes. "If you did, you'd keep him hidden."
Then again, keeping a Digimon that big hidden couldn't possibly be easy. Performing such a feat would take some effort, and even if he did figure out how to keep Agumon hidden, it couldn't possibly be a comfortable hiding place for the monster.
"You do know you can have your digimon de-digivolve to become smaller? I would think that, being a Digimon, your partner would know that, unless it's stupid too."

"Who are you calling stu-" Agumon was interrupted by Hiro's hand which had been placed in front of his mouth before Agumon could get more upset. Hiro's face still remained motionless. Examining her slowly with his eyes, staring at her backpack for a moment. Scratching his head slowly again and letting a yawn escape from his lips.
"Agumon prefers this form... if he was a-afraid he could handle i-it. Agumon I treat as a friend, y-your d-digimon must think it's a baby..." Sniffling some more and slowly reaching his hand out for her backpack, not looking at it while his hand was in motion however. "They way y-you are st-standing... what's in here?" His inductive skills truly were incredible, if he had the drive to Hiro could easily be one of the greatest detectives in the world. Despite his young age his knowledge of people and their mannerisms were bar none. "T-the way you stand... y-you are f-f-focusing so much of your posture to your back... cradling it... like a baby" Resonating those words, echoing from his earlier statement that her Digimon must feel as such. Agumon by his side, pouting a bit that Hiro didn't let him rip this girl a new one.

"Hey! Stay away from my backpack!" Kazai screamed at him. He was so invasive. She couldn't believe it. She was surprised, and she was certain that she didn't want anyone seeing her Digimon just yet. Granted, she could easily pretend that her Digimon was just a doll. She had done it before, but frankly, it wasn't necessary right now. It would just make more trouble for her than what was needed.
In any case, as he came toward him, she'd first bring her right knee up to hit him as hard as she could right in his groin. And if that hit, she'd follow up by holding her hands on his shoulder, bringing her right foot to his left heel, and pulling back to trip him, while simultaneously pushing him backwards.
"What's in my backpack is none of your business!" She claimed. However, this sudden movement was making Petitmamon wake up from her nap. She couldn't quite sleep like this. She was trying so hard, but her eyes were slowly starting to open up. She knew to keep her mouth closed, but if this kept going, she was going to come out.

Getting hit by the full power of her combo, Hiro was knocked to the ground. Laying there on his back with Agumon standing besides him. "Get up Hiro, I have seen you take harder hits while walking to class..." Grabbing the collar of Hiro's shirt, Agumon helped him up to his feet. Hiro's face still didn't move an inch, despite being hit right in the balls, pain was something he was accustomed to. Hiro scratched his head, as if nothing ever happened at all. Coughing slightly before speaking again.
"Hostility is a sign of a defensive nature, one is defensive when o-one attemp-ts to h-hide." Rubbing the back of his neck with his right hand, Hiro spoke again. "The fact that you s-struck me with f-force to knock me out, h-had it worked th-that is, m-must mean you have something important in there." Agumon, arms folded again, closing it's eyes. Despite the fact that Hiro was a clumsy dofus there was still times when his partner amazed him in mental capacity and thought, they could play off each others strengths in a combat situation if that sort of event was ever called for. Agumon was reassured his partner was perfect for him as Hiro started his stare at Kazai again.

At this point, he was just being simply annoying. He could tell that she was hiding something, and there was no reason for her to deny that she was attempting to hide something. She really didn't care. She didn't want him to find her Digimon, but she really didn't mind him knowing that she had one either. The problem with him finding out that she had a Digimon was that he was clearly irresponsible with his gigantic Agumon in the middle of town. It was ridiculously stupid, especially considering that there was bound to still be some teachers and students around. School hadn't let out that long ago.
"Or I'm just a girl protecting her things," Kazai reasoned with him. It would make sense. A lot of girls were protective over their personal belongings, especially when it came to guys looking through them. Kazai actually wasn't like that, but there was no reason for her not to pretend to be.
"In any case, if you try to touch my bag again, I'll bust your balls so badly that you'll never be able to reproduce," she threatened.
"However, if I did have a Digimon, I wouldn't want to compromise her safety through you finding out about it," Kazai further explained. At this point she was contemplating whether she should even bother explaining the situation to him. He was so ridiculously clueless and stupid.
"If someone from A.I.R. surveillance sees or hears about your Digimon, they'll take him away from you in your sleep and wipe away what exists of your memory about Digimon," she answered. Obviously, he didn't know about A.I.R. If he did, he'd have to be a bit more cautious.
"There probably wouldn't even be a fight. I've seen some of the technology they possess and they know a lot about Digimon."
