APPEARANCE.
Appearance-wise, Mouse takes full advantage of the subconscious building an appearance that differs from reality in the digital world. While she appears normal enough in the human world, when her mind takes control she takes the form of grotesque being with red eyes and bizarre tattoos marked across her face. In this form she's blanketed by a red jacket that seems to bear resemblance to some kind of monster. She's not very tall nor over or underweight.
Outside the digital world she appears no different than most people. Though her wardrobe usually consists of quirky or odd clothing, it's really nothing compared to what identity she takes in the digital world. There she can make herself stand out and become the center of attention... no matter how ugly she must make herself to do so.
PERSONALITY.
There's something just not right about Mouse Gardner. It may be the way she smiles at you during class or how she gently brushes by you on the way to lunch. There's an air of uneasiness about her similar to that of a white van parked outside a preschool. The truth is, she isn't smiling at you just for the sake of being friendly.
She's imagining what you'd look like with head ripped off.
Now, don't take it to heart. She does that to everyone. It's a completely normal thing for Mouse to think about people with missing body parts. Years and years of desensitization to videos leaked onto the web to horror films and living beside a slaughterhouse will do that to you. Well there's that and the considerable amount of psychological trauma she has experienced. Yet, miraculously, she is still able to pretend she's somewhat normal... most of the time.
Like most individuals who experience traumatic events at a young age, Mouse exemplifies some classic sociopathic behaviors. A few of these traits would include manipulative tendencies, pathological lying, and difficulty being effectively social. Most of these can be blamed on the dark spore thriving off of her negative emotions. Without inhibition of feeling violent or manipulative - Mouse would most likely be an incredibly meek and sad little girl. Normally she is clever and witty, always open to being a friend to someone when she's needed.
Some of these positive traits are still translated over to her infected body in the digital world. During rare moments of lucidity she can be loving and protective of those she cares about - also merciful to those she realizes she does not wish to harm. Even when infected, she still has an insatiable hunger for attention and praise. She wants to do her best to please people even if it means inflicting harm on others or herself. In a nutshell, Mouse would be a caring, attention-seeking girl if it weren't for the dark spore poisoning her intentions.

Mouse was a mistake. In every sense of the word, unfortunately.
Born and raised on a farm in rural America, Mouse saw many things as a child that most children would graciously be spared from. Chickens, cows, pigs, and many other adorable animals slaughtered in front of her eyes on a daily basis. It wasn't that she was forced to watch, but she was far too fascinated to stop watching and her parents didn't care enough to shoo her away.
Mouse found herself having a hard time to socialize with other children in school. She was never teased or bullied by her classmates, but she did get a lot of shit at home. It was nothing too bad. Sometimes, at worst, she'd get a black eye (but that only happened once or twice.) It was always over the little things like breaking a dish or not fixing a floorboard. Mouse endured and she found solace in doing things that would please her teachers and peers.
One day when she got home from school Mouse got hit for a grade. It wasn't too bad, but something inside of her snapped. She went up to her room an absolute mess but heard a voice calling out to her. Something in the shadows tempted her closer, and a dark spore was planted into her neck. A few months later and she received a digivice, but all too late due to the spore already growing.
