"Okay, we’re gonna be coming over!"
Yuu pattered unsteadily down the stairs, looking almost shell-shocked. He had just come from his mother’s office upstairs. So sure that she would have been angry with him, furious even, he had been very nervous about going to that room. But he had to. He had to or the consequences could have been worse. See, he was hosting a small party that he did not even know about until about twenty minutes prior.
"Do you have popcorn?"
So he went up to his mother, already flinching back as though he would be receiving a slap upside the head (not that he ever has) and he asked his mother if he could have some friends come over. That night, specifically. It had taken him forever to finally spit it out. She looked at him with a face of surprise. He was not sure what to say or think. Then she came closer and he immediately started apologizing. He was interrupted, however, by a very sudden and very tight hug along with exclamations on how her little boy was growing up to be a social butterfly.
"Nevermind, we got it, see you!"

“I gotta get everything ready!” Yuu suddenly exclaimed, rushing downstairs and cleaning what he could.

So she had a habit of inviting herself over to other people's homes...
...Okay well there wasn't any real good excuse for it. But she couldn't help it! There was nothing more in the world that Kyoko liked doing than bringing people together and watching friendships be made because of her! Okay so maybe she liked taking credit for all of this stuff - but who could blame her? It was all out of the goodness of her heart, wasn't it?
Kyoko was practically skipping to the apartment's elevator with a bag of popcorn hugged to her chest. Instead of mooching off of Yuu's snacks, she decided she would bring her own in the end. She almost didn't realize how rude it was to invite herself [and many others] over without permission. Oh well... Yuu would forgive her in the end, she was sure of it! After today, she was absolutely confident that everyone will have become best friends all because of her!
"Otto-saaan."
On her venture to the Ichijouji residence, she had received a phone call from her father. He wasn't very happy to hear that she had been doing things without thinking...again.
"I knowwww...I didn't mean any harm by it..."
The girl tilted her head to one side as she waited in the elevator, pouting her lip into the phone's receiver. Why didn't he GET her? The last thing that Kyoko wanted was to end up a TOTAL computer nerd like Koushirou. It wasn't like she already was one... but Kyoko had been so starved for social interaction because of it that she let it soon rule over her life. Kyoko NEEDED to be around people, she NEEDED to make friends... the hours and hours she spent building scale models of great monuments in minecraft wasn't doing it for her.
"Otto-saaaan. It's fine. Yuu-kun is my friend! He won't mind! I'll talk to you when I get home, okay? Love you. Bye!"
Once she reached the apartment, Kyoko put on the most polite smile she could manage and rung the buzzer. The girl took a few steps back away from the welcome mat so she wouldn't look too eager to enter and slightly glanced to the side to make it so she wasn't just WAITING for the door to fling open.

"Dad. Dad, calm down." Makoto almost dropped his two-liter soft drink and fumbled awkwardly while trying to keep his phone steady on his ear. "No. No. Yes, I have the first aid kit. I always have the first aid kit. Dad, it's the Ichijouji's. They aren't going to serve us alcohol. ....Yes. Kyoko invited me."Makoto flushed suddenly. "Mom, give the phone back to Dad please. ...What? I..I don't think she has a crush on me. Why does - ...."His face suddenly turned from mild embarrassment to utter horror. "MOM DO NOT TRY TO SET US UP-"Click.Makoto's head drooped. He loved his mother, but she was a little too interested into getting a date for him. Sure, he was eighteen and had only been on one disastrous date. Sure her dress had caught on fire. He never should have taken Mimi 's advice to serve flaming kabobs. He'd have to do damage control before she called Koushirou, who would undoubtedly be told that the awkwardly polite Makoto was pining for his daughter. The elevator opened and Makoto stepped out without looking up, all the way to the Ichijouji home. He nearly smacked into Kyoko, who was waiting for the door to open. "Oh..H-hi Kyoko-chan."

He felt like a heart attack at the sound of the doorbell going off. He almost considered shouting out for them to wait a moment, but if he did there was no doubt either his mother or one of his sisters (Where were they today anyway? He didn't see them but then again he didn't check their room...) would take it upon themselves to open it. How rude would that be, these were his friends that he had invited... er.... that had been invited to his house. He quickly tossed a pile of clothes he had been carrying into a closet haphazardly and slammed it shut before he darted toward the entrance.
In his hurry he had not realized that a scarf was left sticking out when he closed the closet and he tripped. After he scrabbled to his feet he ended up ramming his hip onto a coffee table in his rush for the door. It was only during a panic like this that he could become so helplessly clumsy. He finally reached it without killing himself and pulled it open quick, trying not to make them wait for too long outside.
“W-Welcome to the Ichijouji residence!” He blurted, suddenly being all formal or whatever it was that he was being. He stepped aside, noting that two were here, not this huge crowd he had been so afraid of. He recognized Kyoko but the other boy he did not know too much of other than he was the child of a friend of his parent's. He coughed and gave them a smile when he realized he had been giving more like a deer-in-the-headlights look. “Come on in.”

The door to the Ichijouji residence had just opened as Ayako rounded the corner to the apartment. Parties weren't really her thing to be perfectly honest, but her mother insisted that time spent with new friends was valuable and not to be wasted. And she was friends with their parents. Not to mention that. There were two people being let in and as Ayako walked closer, she recognized them to be Kyoko and Makoto. She smiled and quickened her pace a bit to come right behind them as they began to walk in the door. "Hey there! Don't tell me you were going to start the party without me!" Ayako waved politely, joking. "I'm Ishida Ayako. Kyoko invited me."Now that she was here, she was glad that her mother insisted. Who knew was kind of shenanigans they would be getting themselves into, but it wouldn't be anything more stupid and dangerous than what their parents used to do. And Ayako had heard stories. Lots and lots of stories. She stepped through the door after Makoto and Kyoko, slipping her shoes off. She had only met Makoto once or twice at school and the same went for Yuu. But friendships have to start from somewhere, right?

-BANNER COMING- He was late... He was so COLOSSALY late...
And worst yet, Ayako had gone ahead of him. Sure, maybe making a platter of chocolate cookies wasn't the best idea. While the other party-goers would appreciate them greatly, they still took some considerable time to get done. Which, in turn, meant he fell formidably behind on the party time.
So here he was, fifteen minutes after Ayako had already left, hurriedly tucking his freshly baked sweets into a large tin can for easy transport. He whimpered in distress as one of the cookies broke, not that his father seemed to mind considering that meant he got an extra bite. After unsuccesfully fending his parents from the sugary treats, he shoved on his untied shoes and darted out the door. Only slightly familiar with the path to Yuu-kun's house, he proceeded to lose himself among the countless streets and occasional allies that strayed between his home and Yuu's residence. So, only after a disnecessarily ridiculous amount of straying did he find himself at Yuu's apartment complex.
He was so close now, so very close to being only a spare minutes late (if 10 minutes count as "sparcely late"). Darting up the stairs, he turned hastily, spotted a group of familiar faces (save for Makoto), took in a deep breath to call out a greeting...
And promptly tripped over his undone shoe laces, splatting face first into the floor as a tin can of cookies flew out of his hands. Well, he always knew how to make a notable entrance.

Kyoko was inwardly complaining about how long answering the door was taking until a voice tore her from her thoughts. Hugging the bag close to her, a smile spread far and wide across her face. "Senpai! Hello!" While her first instinct was to hug him in greeting, it would prove difficult to do so with an armful of popcorn. "I'd greet you properly but..." she giggled, holding up the bag for him to see.
At last the door opened and Kyoko was overjoyed to see her other friend. The lights in her eyes lit up and she waddled over to him as if she were about to hug him, too, but could not once again due to the popcorn. "YUU-KUN!" she squealed in delight. "LOOK! I brought the popcorn so you didn't have to give us any of yours because that would be rude and I'm not rude." Of course it was in her nature to try to plant the idea that she was, in fact, NOT rude inside her friend's head. Inception!
Ahhh! More friends! Kyoko felt like a freaking flower in sunlight. To be surrounded by all these people was making her good mood bloom! "Ayako-chaaan!" the red head bounced around Ayako with a smile. It seemed to be some kind of Kyoko ritual of some sort to exclaim her friends' names loudly and expressing her happiness to be around them. But something was wrong... but something was missing. The girl ceased her bouncing before looking to her blonde friend with wide eyes. "But where's...?"
THUD.
Poor Tadao.
Kyoko's eyes widened as a horrified gasp escaped her before handing her popcorn to Makoto without thinking that his hands were already occupied with the soda. "Ta-kun!" she shouted in horror to him and promptly went to help him up from under his arms, prodding the side of his face with her palm to make sure he was still all there. "Oh my gosh, are you okay?!"

- BANNER COMING SOON- His head reeled for a few moments, dizzy and disoriented thanks to the none too kind strike with the floor. Lifting himself laboriously, he was mildly aware of dainty hands helping him up with only partial success. "Fine... s'okay, m'fine..." He mumbled in slurred fashion, his tongue lolling oddly against a new gap along his teeth. He paused for a moment whilst fighting to stand up, realizing that space was... unnatural. "... Think I lost a tooth." He stated, somewhere between quizzical and surprised, searching the floor for the missing tooth...
Only to realize his beloved cookies were idly lying in their protective tin can; most of which should be fairly broken by now.
"Oh man ~ !" He whined audibly, gently picking up the can while pouting considerably. Why did the world work against him in such a fashion? He hesitantly openned the box to confirm his fear; about half the cookies were pretty much shattered. With a heavy sigh, he managed to smile sheepishly to his companions, the gap along his lower row of teeth fairly visible. "I... um... made some cookies." Socially awkward much?

He smiled gratefully at Kyoko, honestly thankful she had brought a snack. INCEPTION SUCCESSFUL! “Thankyou Kyoko-chan,” he said smiling. Before Yuu knew it there was quite a commotion going on at his door. He almost believed Ayako's 'accusation' for a moment there but caught himself, realizing it was just a silly joke. He gave her a polite smile and a nod, indicating that she was more than welcome into his home. He was about to rush off and try to get the TV set up so that they could play the streaming videos (yes, he had not done that yet in his panic), but froze at the site of yet another person joining the group in a rather violent manner. Through that he could not help but notice that there was a delicious smell that accompanied the new arrival.
The nervous and tentative lightheartedness that had been settling in was shattered at the sight of the gapped tooth and his mind went blank, the very first thing shooting through his mind was HOSPITAL and the second being MOM'S CAR. “You... You're missing a tooth!” He squeaked stupidly, terribly worried now.
Quite the beginning to a party!
