APPEARANCE.
His aviator cap (complete with goggles) covers his mess of dark-blue hair which splits into a mess of uneven bangs. One could say he’s the spitting image of his father, born with his coloring and his mother’s fragile limbs. Oswell possesses his three DIGTAL HACK codes – Deputymon’s Justice Bullet, Pegasusmon’s Golden Noose, and Gargomon’s Gargo Laser (the only that alters his appearance and transforms both his arms into machine guns.)
PERSONALITY.
Oswell is a bitter young man, to say the very least. He suffers from the sting of knowing that he has been lied to his entire life by his father. Little does he know that there are other things that he has yet to discover about himself, but he is aware that there are still secrets kept from him. Oz is guarded, hot-headed, and at times extremely forward. The boy suffers from constant bouts of questioning his identity and where his real loyalties lie. Being a member of A.I.R., it appears that he's been recruited solely for his cold demeanor. However, the boy shows a great amount of hesitance when hunting digimon.
Oz is plagued by an endless inner conflict when it comes to respecting authority. Naturally the boy is rebellious and feels that he shouldn't have to answer to anyone but himself, but becomes lost without guidance. He rarely appears happy or amused and he's usually seen wearing a scowl heavy with indignation. He behaves indifferently to most situations unless it's something that's provoking enough to break him out of his shell. Most of the time he seems to hold his opinion of himself highly, despite the fact it's mostly an act. Oz will happily lie if it makes himself look good but will feel guilty for having done so in the future. He rarely, if ever, discloses his feelings of vulnerability to another and will usually take it out on people in the form of a temper tantrum.
While he seems to have no problem behaving undisciplined and arrogant in front of others, Oswell is anything but selfish when it comes to those close to him. He values friendship more than anything because of his fear of betrayal, but this makes it especially difficult to befriend him. He is under the impression that most people are just out to screw him over or only speak to him if they are in need of something. This causes him to act rude to most people by default, but he will not continue being disrespectful if he sees it visibly upsets someone or discovers that the other may actually be worth his time.
He appears to be rather trigger-happy which compliments his rash personality. For his first DIGITAL HACK weapon he chose a revolver, as he seems to have a fascination with guns. The only time he ever really appears giddy is when he's polishing weapons or shooting at things. In fact, he tends to go into a state of mania when playing with firearms - at times breaking into frenzied laughter while using them. It doesn't go so far as an obsession, just something that makes him obscenely happy. Perhaps it's the feeling of control it gives him when he hasn't had much control in his life at all.
Regardless of how much he will claim he dislikes digimon and thinks that they are just emotionless compounds of data, he feels a kinship and deeply-rooted understanding of them. It's obvious that the boy seems to feel jealously towards the digidestined that is linked to the feelings of loneliness that Oswell tends to display. He wears his emotions on his sleeve but fancies himself as a strong individual that doesn't let others in.

hometown; hamburg, germany.
family members;
Ricohard Faber [Father]
Magdalena Faber [Mother]
Emerson Jenner [Uncle]
Lukas Brandt [Half-Brother]
If you were to ask Oswell about his father, he’d swiftly answer that he’s a “pathological liar and a coward.” Sadly, neither of these statements are completely false. Ricohard has gone through numerous name changes during his lifetime, all in order to effectively swindle women out of their money. Everything went rather well for him throughout the years, able to support himself and satiate his greed. He fled from state to state, keeping his family under the impression he was being transferred to different police stations and that he was a cop instead of a renown con man. Eventually he found himself in Germany and met a beautiful heiress named Magdalena. Of course, he was far more interested in her family fortune than her herself. After attempting to woo her multiple times he discovered that her family would not allow them to marry unless he was German himself. This inspired his final name change and went from Richard to Ricohard and taking the surname ‘Faber.’
The two were wed, and Ricohard began the patient wait for her sickly father’s passing so he could divorce her and take half the fortune. However, complications arose when Magdalena became pregnant – and Ricohard was having difficulty knowing he’d have to let go of something he hadn’t realized would be worth more to him than money. Despite sudden fatherly instincts waking, he wasn’t about to become a better person. Ricohard went through the meticulous task of framing his wife for child neglection so that he could win custody of his child. It only took a few years of waiting once he seized the opportunity – and he won both the fortune and custody of their two-year-old son, Oswell.
Ricohard moved to Hamburg with his son and it was obvious he was struggling with being a father. Despite being a sworn family-man, he was unsure of how to raise his child to be a decent person much unlike himself. Oswell had to rely on the company with the occasional visit of his uncle Jenner, which was probably where his intense dislike for alcohol first stemmed. The boy eventually learned English from his ever-present uncle, and would learn Japanese once his father came home with the news that they were moving to Japan. Ricohard had become one of the founders of A.I.R.
But that day wouldn’t come for the next five years, and Oswell had to learn how to take care of himself at an early age due to his absent father and alcoholic uncle. A few weeks after he turned eight was when he discovered a photo album of his mother, something fabricated by Ricohard to keep her under the impression he was in love with her. Oswell would keep this a secret from his family – and this event marked the day that he lost his trust in anyone.
Ricohard came home in 2029 and prepared the move from his Hamburg Home to Odaiba, Japan so that he may help in constructing the A.I.R. building there. In spite of all that had happened to him, Oswell still tried to be as polite and good-natured as possible. He would open doors often for others and be sure to act as kind and courteous to strangers. However, he was still bitterly reminded of his father’s betrayal which kept him from attempting to befriend anyone. At ten years old, something happened to Oswell that may as well changed his life forever.
After going home from school he went on his father’s computer. And lo and behold, a digivice came through the screen and landed in his hands. Oswell had absolutely no idea what it was or where it came from–just that it was special…and that it was his. A few weeks passed and he often talked to the device, cradled it, and he would continue doing so until he heard a voice inviting him through the computer screen to a place called the ‘Digital World.’ Right as he was about to enter, his father walked in on the scene. Needless to say, it wouldn’t end well. Ricohard wiped his child’s memory of ever receiving the device with much reluctance, then hid the device in the family safe. Oz would have to suffer once again because of a lie from his father.
Years passed and Oz grew into a bitter boy and a bit of a bully. He was known to misbehave often in class and fight with his teachers – displaying insubordinate behavior and disrespect. He wasn’t a physically aggressive child, however, and was often beaten by the stronger boys he would tease. This ‘bratty’ stage was something that Oswell never really grew out of, keeping his sour attitude and cynicism about people.
Once he turned fourteen, Oswell and his father moved to a home in Japan. Once again his father would constantly be ‘out on business’, and Oz was left home alone with his uncle. Soon both he and Jenner were offered jobs from his father, saying that they were in need to help him with something ‘big.’ For some reason unknown to him, the idea of digimon appealed to Oswell. Disregarding his bitter feelings towards his father for now, Oz joined A.I.R. and was recruited as a digimon hunter. He still feels a void in his life – and still has no idea that he was once a digidestined meant to be in this world in the first place.
Over the years he’s struggled with both losing a German accent and fighting off a Japanese accent – so it can be incredibly difficult to understand him when he annunciates certain words. He curses and mumbles in his native tongue often, and will sometimes speak full sentences in German when flustered or exasperated, forgetting that most people don’t understand him.
