APPEARANCE.
The most noticeable aspect of Samantha's appearance is the friendly smile she'd readily offers to friends and strangers alike. Her eyes are usually bright and alert, accompanied with a somewhat thoughtful expression on her face. She tries to come off as inviting and sociable as possible, at times feeling guilty somehow if anyone were to become uncomfortable or wary around her.
She is a bit short and petite in stature, though not anything too unusual for a girl her age. Samm's wardrobe consists of anything she finds comfortable, from jeans and a t-shirt to a nice summer dress or skirt. She doesn't really feel comfortable wearing anything too flashy or outstanding, preferring to blend in and let her personality represent most of who she is rather than her clothing.
This isn't to say she isn't attached to certain accessories, as it is somewhat rare to see her out without her beanie. It's a sort of security blanket more or less and she tends to feel awkward without it. In situations where she has to take it off or do without it, she tends to play with her hair a lot.
In the digital world, Samm's appearance doesn't alter too much... though her hair seems to have a faint tinge of red to it.
PERSONALITY.
In the presence of others, Samantha is usually rather bright and attentive. She enjoys listening to others speak of themselves and could spend hours giving audience to the stories and personal experiences anyone is willing to share. There are few conversation subjects that make her uncomfortable and even then she will usually keep her opinions to herself unless she were asked, preferring to avoid conflict.
Samantha herself is fairly talkative, but she doesn't enjoy it half as much as she likes to listen. There are no stories or 'exciting' aspects of her life in her own opinion, so she doesn't believe she has much to share in conversations. Often time, she gets the feeling that she is boring whoever she's speaking to. At this point, she might attempt to be funny or attempt to crack a joke, though her sense of humor is usually sort of limited. It's rather childish, though not in a sense that is crude or anything to that affect...more like something a five year old would laugh at than someone her age.
If something needs to get done Samm will usually relax and slowly take her time to do it right, rather than stress herself out and try to get it done as soon as possible. In this sense, she is very laid-back, rarely getting into unnecessary arguments as she dislikes disagreement and quarrels greatly. At times, this causes her to seem passive to the point where it may frustrate some. She often finds that opening her mouth in certain situations rather than ignoring something often causes worse problems and unnecessary upset then already exists. This isn't to say she will stand idle by if a situation absolutely called for her to speak up, however she is much more likely to stand up for someone else than herself.
Digimon have a strong hold of respect in Samantha's eyes. To her, their lives are of no greater or lower level of importance than that of a human's life. She would never admit it amongst her peers at the A.I.R. Camp where she resides, but the thought is firmly planted in her mind. When she isn't on duty in the kitchen, Samm spends a lot of her time with the captured digimon, attempting to make their stay in captivity as pleasant as possible. If it were up to her, they wouldn't even be in this situation and it pains her to see them treated as they are. Of course, there is little she can do to aid them without gathering suspicion, restricted to offering to prepare their meals and maintain their living compartments.
Sometimes, Samm will act similarly toward people she finds herself close to; wanting to take care for them and ease their worries. It tends to come off as being nosy, overbearing, or sometimes even somewhat obsessive... though she can't really seem to help it.
More often than not, it's hard to really tell is she is in an off mood, as she tries her best not to burden others with her problems. However, in the unusual case that she is fairly irritated or antagonized, it would be best to avoid her. Of course, anything she says will most likely be followed by a quick apology.
Samantha tends to be overly sensitive to criticism and can take it rather personal even when she knows it is not. At times she is somewhat flustered when something is happening too quickly for her pace, becoming stressed and disorientated. Just as well, she usually dislikes change that wasn't her decision in the first place. Samantha often needs consistency in her life to feel comfortable.

Samantha grew up in a fairly normal home with her parents and siblings, being the middle child of the three. They weren't exactly the closest family, but they got along enough to make it through the day. There was no tragic upset or life changing event in Samantha's life...long coming to believe she would always have a fairly normal existence like most everybody else. Every day it was the same routine; go to school, study, hang out with friend, come home, go to bed...and etc. As docile as she was, this made her content...yet it did not appeal to her. Though she was thankful for the things she had, she felt like she needed something different; maybe not exciting or thrilling, but different.
This is when Samm was met with the opportunity to leave home for a year and attend a culinary school in Japan. Her passion in life was culinary arts after all, and she has had little formal training before this. Her ability to cook, and cook rather well, was second nature to her and has always been something she took great pride in. Though she was hesitant, she knew at some point she'd kick herself for not jumping at the opportunity. It was something she loved after all, might as well give it a chance.
It was awe inspiring at first, being in Japan. Everything was so different and busy from the desert were she had grew up and she began to wonder if life back home would ever satisfy her again. The food was definitely her favorite aspect of this. It seemed like she was trying new things everyday, working with foods she barely knew existed. This place was gold to her; both to her culinary ambitions and thirst for something different in her life.
Though... as the days, weeks, and eventually months went by she was finding herself in the same situation. Everyday, the same routine. It made her feel guilty, but this was beginning to lose its luster and once again became the norm. She wondered about going back home.
The last few months she had to stay there, she got a job at a local restaurant as a server, declined from the position in the kitchen she had hoped for due to lack of experience. It was better than nothing though and she did her job to the best of her abilities. It was here that she found herself confronted with a job opportunity, not from the restaurant, but instead a customer that happened by one day. He was one of the founders of a group by the name of A.I.R. . She was promised a job that would be of the utmost interest to her, leading her to pursue her curiosity and find out exactly what this was.
It was definitely interesting, as she came to find out. Though not at all for the reasons Samm had hoped. Buying and selling digimon like they were pets?! At first she found herself somewhat furious, unable to comprehend why anyone would do this and was ready to decline the offer right then. ...However, she stopped herself, stepping back from her emotions a moment to look at what she had been opened up to.
She could leave and pretend this never happened, but that left a bad taste in her mouth. Or she could try to fight these people from the outside, but she was sure she wasn't the only one against this. There would be others on the outside...but she doubted how many would be on the inside as she would be if she took this job. And in that, it wasn't the job as a chef in their camp's kitchen where she saw the real opportunity before her, but rather someplace entirely different.
Maybe this was her chance to really do something? Walking away wasn't an option, not now. Suddenly, Samm began to feel as if this was what she was meant to do. It was naive and childish to think she could stop this entire organization on her own, but she knew she had to do something. Even if it was something little.
And so now she resides in the A.I.R. Campsite, preparing meals for other members and attempting to care for the captured digimon with the times she has left. She still hopes that one day this entire group will come to an end, often trying to find any weak points in their system. Sadly, she doesn't know a lot about the inner workings of A.I.R. and in the end she's really just someone that works to feed the other members. She doesn't have the slightest clue how to actually stop these people and is in way over her head. Whether or not she knows that, it doesn't stop her from learning as much as she can, hoping it might one day aid in her endeavor.- ∴ - ∵ - ∴ - ∵ - ∴ -
