This is not visual art, alas, because I am not a spiffy visual artist, but I had muse, so! Random word generator + muse + wangst of all varieties = whatever the hell this is. If this is in the wrong board, please move it, aaaand critique please?
I wrote this in about two hours and I'm pretty pleased with it, given it's practise for this format and for writing less with more significance. Some of the prompts have a great deal to do with the meaning of the sentence, and some are only connection or start points, but I did my best. Format is Avari, BlackGabumon, Avari and so on.
Comparing – Sometimes, she tilts her head back and lets her eyes close and the distance between their two points of isolation slides closer, and she wonders which is the deeper loneliness.
Glad – He could have cared less about how broken or cold she was, because in that first moment he was finally complete, cracked reflections mirroring each other in their flaws.
Instrumental – She never really notices how carefully he waits for the right moment to speak, deliberately waiting until she is ready to listen.
Colour – Without her, the darkness returns, and he selfishly wishes he could keep the world so vivid all the time.
Opponent – She supposed the duality would be amusing, an ironic twist of fate, if it didn't terrify her so much to think of angels and demons.
Urging – He hates playing along with her lies, hates seeing her lock herself away in such fragile shields of words and think herself safe, but he can never refuse.
Hangover – There is something to be said about silence when she has spoken too much, and she needs peace from the empty stories in her head.
Immortal – He sometimes imagines how easy it would be to hurt her, and he wishes he could rip apart what ever decided that she would not return from death as he does.
Sweep – Her apartment seems to only exist to gather dust, and the days when she returns to rest grow fewer with each week.
Junk – The idea that they are too flawed to bond properly occurs, but if she is broken, then surely he is no better.
Resignation – She's already forgotten the last time she purposely tried to leave him.
Emulator – Even if it is out of force, he cannot help but admire her poise and how difficult it is for her to be angry.
Lunch – The meal times are always the strangest moments, when she looks up and realizes she is talking to a lizard wearing a wolf pelt that is daintily eating chicken off of a plate on her floor.
Hindsight – He probably shouldn't have tried to kill the cat that begged for scraps in the alley below her window, but he was quite certain that those light fixtures and the window could all be repaired easily.
Overlook – She supposes he dreams for the both of them, and that includes nightmares as well.
Emptying – “Does it hurt?” He wants to ask her that, every time she fades a little more and he fears that he won't have a chance to be her partner before she is gone.
Adoption – She supposes most people never have to deal with pets that can efficiently rip other animals apart and then go on as if nothing particularly important has happened.
Intensity – The fury of how much has already been taken from them binds him to silence, but in his thoughts he curses the entire world for hurting them both.
Class – It's as if the mundane parts of life all lose their significance, and she wonders how long she'll be able to handle something so normal before disappearing.
Breathing – It is not trust, not yet, but she goes to sleep when he is still awake, and he hears the peaceful sound of her breathing, and hopes.
