"Can we go swimming, Renamon?"
"Swimming? No thank you." the words were slow and emphasized clearly, in order to show how much the fox creature did not want to get in the water "I'd rather keep my fur dry, actually." the human standing near the yellow fox let out a small sigh, as though his companion was so boring, and he was starting to get a little annoyed with the Digimon's lack of interest of doing anything fun. However he just smiled at the Digimon and waddled ever so much closer towards the large body of water. He looked over his shoulder to the Renamon, smiling a lazy half smile, and then looked back to the water, stepping closer and closer. It was hypnotic, it was hard for the human Digidestined named Hanako to not slip into his day-dreaming state. The colors of this water, Hanako soon found, or perhaps he imagined it, were swirling, and dancing with the ripples in the water, then gentle splashing to the shore, tickling his feet with a water-like giggle that perhaps only Hanako himself could or would ever think to understand. As he stared at the water of the like, it soon occurred to the brown haired boy, that it was more like the water was playing with him. Why, Hanako realized he must have made a new friend, or something because soon Hanako found himself smiling and letting out a small chuckle.
If Hanako had a fish tail instead of a pair of legs, he could go swimming, and no one could say no to him. Not that he minded the company of his Digimon, in fact most of the time Hanako didn't notice Renamon was really around him to begin with. Still, a fish tail would certainly pretty, oh, especially if it were a dark brown color. Hanako did quite like the color brown, it was the color of trees, and dirt, and rocks, all things that helped Hanako's mind and imagination blossom. Now the question was, the boy realized, would he have gills if he turned half fish, or lungs? If lungs, how long would he be able to hold his breath? The same? Or more? Or maybe even less? The human wasn't noticing at all, but the more he thought about this, the deeper he was starting to walk into the lake until the water was up to his knees. "Oh." Hanako said to himself. It looked like hos body wanted to swim anyway. Or maybe....
Hanako gasped playfully, and began to bound back onto shore, he wasn't going to let his good friend lure him into the abyss. Hanako was smarter than that, but he giggled, shivering a little when back on solid land.
Renamon did not follow the human during this, instead, he blinked his blue eyes in the direction of his companion, and then sat down upon the sandy beach, observing his surroundings. He was rather surprised that the human he was with wasn't more interested in the random telephones and vending machines. Those things would have intrigued the Renamon had he the knack for being curious like young Hanako When he noticed Hanako start to run back Renamon's ears flattened slightly and he rolled his eyes. This human certainly liked to play, even when it's just himself, he's entertained by everything. "Hanako, isn't it getting late?"
Hanako's brown eyes lifted to the sky, noticing how it looked as if the sky were on fire, but shook his head. They had just gotten here, after all, he wanted to play more. Dancing Through Life from - Wicked
