”Hanako?” What kind of name was that supposed to be? It sounded weird, but that was probably because Nate wasn’t used to hearing Japanese names. At least they were beginning to get somewhere, anyway. If that could even be said, they really only knew each other's names.
The boy raised an eyebrow at Renamon, who interestingly enough was a lot bigger than Lopmon. Apparently, not all digimon were as small as Nate's partner, so he seemed to have gotten lucky in that respect... So far, that was the only thing he could count himself lucky for. Although he had to admit, it was definitely nice to be able to communicate with this fox creature and not have to rely on Lopmon's translations for a time. ”What does it matter?” the teenager asked right back, for lack of wanting to tell the tale of how he had met the overly moody rabbit. They didn't need to know. What business did they have knowing his business?
Uh oh... Lopmon was getting angry, and it had been something that Hanako had said that was causing her to react in this way. Slowly, her emotions were rising over the top, bubbling over. ”. . .” Nate waited in anticipation, to see whether or not the rabbit digimon would be able to cool down on her own.
Not likely! With this attitude, she was going to make an enemy out of every single person they came across...! ”Cut it out! Lopmon!” the boy urged as he jumped toward them and reached out for one of her ears. Trying to grab hold of it, Nate would then tug on it if he could manage to, hoping to get her to release this person from her grip.

”What does it matter?”The Renamon shrugged his shoulders, and sighed a little, he was starting to understand what he was dealing with now, "attitude". The Renamon's white paws folded across his chest, in an unhappy posture. Certainly he could admit to being a rather nosey Digimon at times, but he only ever had good intentions for doing so. Or that's what this Renamon thought at least. " Right," sniffed the Renamon, blue eyes flashing in the darkness for the moment "I'm not sure how to answer that question. I simply wanted to know whether or not you bought this Digital Monster," Perhaps the direct approach wasn't the best way, especially since the Renamon found this boy was being rather quiet and secretive about his questions/comments. For the most part, the Renamon wouldn't have cared how the boy obtained his partner, but lately he had been hearing about stores that captured and sold Digimon. To be quite honest, the yellow fox didn't entirely appreciate this. We, of course, know that this Renamon wasn't entirely in the right for behaving so nosey and demanding, but the Renamon, always seemed to think his cause was noble. Meanwhile, Hanako was facing his own problems, particularly with the brown bunny Digimon. She really didn't seem to like him, or anything he said! The smile he tried to keep on his face vanished once more and he took a few steps away from the rather scary Lopmon. She was angry, he could tell. He tried to think of a good enough apology for this creature, but his brain started to scramble with his own panic. Much to Hanako's confusion, and horror, the brown Digimon soared into the air straight at him! "Gwa!" he cried, in attempt to back away from her, unfortunately she landed directly on top of his head! He could hardly hear the Lopmon out of his own fear of her, desperately reaching up and trying to pull the creature of of his hair. "So-Ow Sorr-aah... I'm so-!" the boy tried to plead as best as he could while flailing, and trying to keep the Lopmon from ripping out his hair. What made things worse, the Renamon certainly has now paying attention to the scene, blue eyes wide as he watched the two humans struggle with Lopmon. Then...the fox Digimon did something strange....he started to laugh. He couldn't help it, that was probably the funniest scene he ever saw, particularly because his Partner was the person being attacked. "Aww, Hanako," he chuckled "Do you need help?", his blue eyes glanced from this Nathanial Stark, and back to Hanako, who still seemed to be struggling "I-I'm So-sorry!

Lopmon struggled to make sure that she at least got some of his hair, though it wasn't necessarily much. Once Nate attempted to grab her, Lopmon would release Hanako's hair from her mouth and fingers and she allowed for him to pull her off. She didn't want to hurt Hanako that much, she only wanted to prove her point, which she felt she had done very well.
Lopmon landed on the ground next to the two boys and stubbornly crossed her arms. She turned away snobbishly, her nose was held up high. She wanted to have nothing more to do with Hanako for now. At least not until she heard a full-fledged apology, and a retraction of his statement. She didn't want him to go around thinking she was soft and weak or anything like that.
"You're not sorry. You meant what you said!" Lopmon accused. She didn't want to hear a fake apology. the only thing he was sorry about was that what he had said offended her and that she jumped him. He meant what he said and he wasn't sorry about that. Forced apologies meant nothing to Lopmon. She couldn't care less.

Nate was beginning to think that it could be best for him to ignore Lopmon altogether. She wasn’t sorry for what she had done, but at least she had backed off at his urging. He regained his composure, standing up straight once more now that he no longer had to grab onto the digimon’s giant ear.
The fox... thing found it humorous? Now, Nate didn’t know the creature’s usual behavior, but this just seemed odd. Mainly due to the fact that, well, Lopmon had assaulted the teenager that he clearly was with. That seemed as though it would have been an easy way to create some hostility between the four of them, yet that had not been the case. The boy was thankful for events taking a turn different from what he had feared.
The teenager actually felt a little guilt about his rude response toward the fox creature earlier. He looked up at it, regarding it with sincerity. ”Bought her?” Nate could almost laugh at the irony. As it was right now, he would much rather be accepting money for what he has to go through taking care of the little bunny demon! ”I found her, to be honest, it’s not like she’ll leave me alone now that she's convinced we're 'partners'.”
Nathaniel glanced back over at his digimon partner. ”You can keep her if you don’t believe me... I think I’m allergic anyway,” he was partially joking.

Hanako's eyes closed tightly shut, it didn't hurt as much as it gave the boy a heart attack. He never really ever noticed when he said hurtful words, so being attacked so suddenly was quite the shock. In fact, he could hear his heart pounding in his ears, body practically screaming; attacker! Enemy! Watch out! Even though, of course, he hardly realized he wasn't in any severe pain, besides his hair being pulled. He probably would have been wondering where his Digimon was, and why it wasn't jumping to his rescue, but he was so distracted by this Lopmon, he hardly remembered anyone's existence besides his and Lopmons. When she jumped off his head, Hanako scampered back, away from the others, touching his head and hair warily. He appeared to be okay, but then, was he really okay, had his punishment been less than what he thought it was going to be? It seemed that lately Hanako had been having terrible luck with other Digimon, and he never really understood why. "I'm sorry," whispered the boy again, closing and reopening his eyes. His body seemed to be trying, to figure out if he should just give up and fall asleep standing. The Lopmon must have heard his try to plead with her, and apologize, because she then said something, sounding very upset.
Whatever it was, it took the boy a few moments to register that...that she didn't think he was sorry! Oh no, Hanako could hardly believe his ears, usually people forgive him when he said sorry (for reasons he never really did understand.) none the less, he found himself shocked by this. What could he do to let this pretty bunny know he was really sorry? "Ehhh...." Hanako was only able to say, brown eyes staring helplessly at the Lopmon. His mind quickly scrambled around, trying to think of something to say to her, but all that came out was the same noise. "Eehhhh." he muttered again, " I did mean it, but can I be sorry that it offended you?" he asked, hoping that that would work. He had heard this phrase used many times in his house. Usually it was his parents being sarcastic with each other, but Hanako never realized this, so thought it was a good response.
Renamon smiled, rather glad he could have a good laugh, and...poor boy, it was pretty funny. He certainly hoped the smaller Digimon would forgive Hanako for his mistake. She was quite the feisty, something that Hanako was never really used to now was he? He could usually get people with his oblivious charm, but it looked like she just wasn't buying it. "M'dear," Renamon smiled at the Lopmon, " I must say, you showed him, didn't you?" His blue eyes glanced back at the boy who started to speak. This made Hanako look to the boy now Nateh-kun, was what Hanako would call this boy from now on. It seemed to fit to Hanako. He certainly wished he knew what they were saying, but it was vague enough for him to try to translate it to himself. The Renamon spoke once more, ear twitching slightly "Surely you know what it means to be a Digidestined...?" he asked, assuming that the boy really was a Digidestined after all.
