SO MUCH FOR A HAPPY ENDING . Odaiba, Japan 2032 – it’s been five years since the writer Takaishi “TK” Takeru attempted to release a franchise based around ‘digital monsters.’ It’s no coincidence that since then there has been a shocking increase in cases of memory loss, including in Takeru himself. A government branch known as A.I.R. has taken the task of wiping the memory of every digidestined in order to avoid the diplomatic responsibilities of joining two worlds.
But the digital world has its way when weaving the delicate threads of fate. Now the original digidestined’s children, along with others are being sent for. Digivices are rapidly finding their way to their rightful owners, whether appearing through a computer screen or pulling the children themselves into the digital world. Dark Spores have been embedding themselves into the minds of children so that the group of malevolent digimon known as ‘The Harvesters’ may reap the dark energy to win their fight for control over weaker digimon - and they must be stopped.
But these dark Digimon aren’t the only threats to the digital world now. A.I.R. members have taken notice of the sudden disappearances of children, fluctuations of violent adolescent behavior, and reports of bizarre glitches and viruses in electronics. Now they have found ways to fabricate replica digivices by lacing digital code and chosen child DNA inside an electronic device. They can enter the digital world and specialize in dealing illegal items made to strengthen digimon in exchange for Dark Spores. Now Earth is in danger of Dark Spores becoming weaponized for biological warfare and threaten the delicate balance of power in both worlds. Only the new digidestined have any chance of protecting both worlds from their downfall – by sharing their digimon partner’s strength to travel through the gates.
