your perfect world • has been upset Name; Fangmon Level; Champion Gender; Male Rank; Shepherd Attribute; Data Type; Demon Beast
Personality; Fangmon is somewhat of a sadist. There is an unusual, frighteningly compulsive, hunger for suffering that resides within him. He loves playing with his victims and his battles are usually long and drawn out, for no other reason than the satisfaction of causing as much agony as possible.
Not many are safe from his playful torture, though he is smart enough to know who and what is fair game and when to step down. For this reason, he tends to pick on lower level digimon. Most would say this is a coward's move, but Fangmon attests it is simply being smart. That and he finds amusement in the fact that they often try and fight back; as if they had even the slightest chance of overtaking him. Their will to stay alive is intriguing at best, but he can't seem to find any admiration or respect for it.
Surprisingly, Fangmon has a good sense of self-control, his sadistic actions never fueled by any sudden spark of anger or frustration. In fact, he rarely seems anything other than content or amused, a very wide and toothy grin often occupying his expression. In the rare occasion that he is angered, he will most likely draw back and wait patiently. Fangmon has the tendency to let his anger and hatred boil down and simmer for as long as it needs to, confident that his time will come.
Fangmon considers his love for pain his sole purpose in life...or at least he would if he believed in that sort of thing. To him, existence is a nothing but a sick joke and he intends to live his life as an embodiment of that. What was the point in creating something only to have it destroyed in the end? And Fangmon never truly believed that regenerating was a way to cheat death. At some point, everything dies. Nothing could last forever.
These thoughts are his own though and he rarely speaks them freely. Even his reasoning for joining alliances with the Harvesters is in the fact that they allow him to do what he loves. He doesn't honestly believe in their endeavors and if anything finds them somewhat ridiculous. Of course, he has enough sense to keep this to himself.
Fangmon has no ambitions or thoughts of altering his path in life, as achieving some illusion of greatness seems meaningless in his opinion. A lot of things seem this way to him.
History; Fangmon started out as any other digimon would, born in primary village where he lived out most of the beginning of his life. Whereas most digimon seemed to aspire to one day having a human partner and going off on adventures, Fangmon seemed to have no interest in such things. He spent most of his time in thought and to himself or off playing with his friends and causing trouble. Fangmon loved to play more than anything else, though his idea of fun was a lot rougher then most of the others.
His life didn't seem to alter from his same mundane path up until he eventually digivolved into his rookie form. Gazimon had leveled up a lot sooner then most of the others, though it didn't stop him from trying to play with them as roughly as he use to...if not more. It was not simply a mistake of not knowing one's own strength, but...something entirely different. Gazimon enjoyed his ability to overpower his friends and their play-fights often got out of hand and into much more dangerous territory. It wasn't long before Gazimon ended up taking one play session too far... killing and absorbing the data of one of the weaker in-trainings.
Rather than remorse or guilt, Gazimon was met with an intrigued feeling. He began to wonder; what was the point of his friend's life now? Had they really just been brought into existence only to have their life cut so horribly short? Sure, his friend's data would make him stronger, but what was the point in being stronger? He would die at some point as well...strong or weak. He found it inevitable.
After this incident, Gazimon was excluded from his group of friends, something that affected him far more than he would admit. He couldn't understand their horror in response to what he'd done. To him, it was the only negative thing that had come out of his friend's death. He never confronted them, keeping his animosity to himself and simply watching them from afar. It didn't seem fair. Had he really done anything wrong? He didn't think so. And then one day he simply vanished from primary village...along with his friends. There was no questioning what had happened to them or how Gazimon came to digvolve into Fangmon that day.
Fangmon wandered along on his own path after this, causing havoc and dismay wherever he chose to show himself. It wasn't long before Antylamon recruited him as a Shepherd for the Harvesters, which is where he remains to this day.
