It was only two years ago. All of his bags were still in the middle of the floor and the rest of his room was still pretty spacious. When he was setting up his computer, Cadmus made sure everything was working properly. He didn't have internet yet but it wasn't much of a bother. Cadmus was a little hungry after organizing his room. The young man went to the kitchen. The refrigerator didn't have much other than the frozen burritos. When he began to microwaved them he served himself some orange juice. The burritos were done but they were all busted open from the heat. An irritated sigh was uttered before he took his small meal to his room. He was only a few steps away from the door and noticed a flicker of light originating from his computer. Well this is odd ... , he thought. Cadmus walked in nonetheless. To his surprise something came out. It was small! And ... furry? How could something be furry and come out of a computer?! What was even more baffling was the fact it was talking! " Hi Cadmus!" His face turned pale as it spoke. Cadmus didn't know if he was dreaming, stoned or maybe both, this situation was surreal. " Um ... stay!" With that he slammed the door. Cadmus gave himself a few minutes to take deep breaths before opening the door again. ... It was still there and it stayed at the same place. " You .. told me to stay ... right?" He slowly nodded then walked towards the 'head'. This is a little freaky. Too freaky actually. How in heaven's sake did it know my name?! Cadmus plopped down in front of it, he took a bite out of his snack. He glanced over at the computer then back at the critter. It was only a few more seconds before it spoke again. " May I have some? please! I'm hungry!" At that point Cadmus lost his appetite and gave the rest to it. " So, what your name ... little guy." He was curious more than anything besides confused. By the looks of it that thing was enjoying the meal. Cadmus kept a watchful eye on it, not realizing he left the door wide open.

Gaia had just spent her day at school just like any other day of the week. Since she was hard of hearing, she took a bus home as a safety precaution. Neither her mother nor the school wanted her to get hurt on her way to and from school, so they had arranged the transportation for her. This also meant that she was always on time, which she always saw as a good thing, especially now that her big brother had come to stay with them again. She had missed him a lot when he was gone, and now that he had moved in with her and her mother, she knew that things would be a bit easier.
Though Gaia was grateful for everything that her mother did for her, the simple fact that she did it alone made the girl worry. Her mother was always working, and so tired by the time she got home that their meals were always based on how quick they were to make. There had been countless times where she had found her mother crying, and because of this, she began to act tougher when it came to her health. Though it wasn't the best idea, she would do her best to push through being sick on her own without worrying her mother.
Right now was one of those times. She had started to get sleepy while on her way home from school, which was soon followed by a bit of a headache. By the time she walked in the front door, her headache was effecting her sight and her face was flushed red with fever. However, since her brother was here, she had no qualms about asking for help. So after having dropped her school bag near the front door, she made her way straight to his room.
Knocking lightly on his door, she didn't wait for him to open it for her. "Nii-san?" [/color] she cried out in her soft voice with only a hint of a whine as she rubbed her eye with one hand and walked in. "Nii-san, my head hurts."[/color] she said once she knew he was actually in there. Her head was so foggy that she didn't even notice the little creature that was eating the burritos.[/size][/blockquote]

Nii-san? Cadmus repeated the word in his head and looked back, then back at the creature and shooed it away. He wasn't sure if she seen it or not. The boy stood up, walking slowly towards her then kneeled down. "I'm sorry Gaia, would you like me to get you something?" He spoke in a soft manner. Cadmus didn't want to make her headache worse.
Kapurimon was very eager to meet her. However, he squirmed back as Cadmus shooed him away. He understood why. It was probably because it would be too much for her to witness something unnatural as himself. Kapurimon kept quiet as he spoke to his sibling. The little digimon started to take a better look at the two.
From what he could see was they both had blue hued hair. Maybe the same skin color, but both had different colored eyes. Kapurimon was fascinated by the two and wanted to move closer. But ... orders are orders ..., he had second thoughts. He rolled to the side to get a better view and smiled. [/sup]

While Gaia loved her grandparents and enjoyed spending time with them, she was definitely happy with the recent change of being able to come home after school rather than waiting on her mother at her grandparents' house. However, she felt as though she may have preferred her grandma right about now. Cadmus hadn't been there long enough to automatically know what his younger sister needed when she wasn't feeling well, or what sorts of symptoms to look for and connect together.
So when he asked her if she wanted him to get her something, she started by just simply nodding her head. Since he had knelt down closer to her level, it made it easier for her to lean up against him. For the moment, all she wanted was a simple show of comfort and affection - a hug. Though he was taller than her, when he knelt down it made her taller, and so it was easy for her to rest her head on his shoulder.
Since she had the beginnings of a fever, it wouldn't be difficult for him to feel the difference in body temperature as she would be warm to the touch. "Mom keeps the medicine in the cabinet above the fridge." she said in a weak tone as she leaned up against him.
As she stood there leaning against her brother, Gaia noticed a bushy tail poking out from near her brother's computer. In her fuzzy state of mind, she wasn't really able to focus on anything but getting her medicine and getting into bed with a water bottle. "I didn't know you had a kitty." was all that she could really think to say at the moment. After all, she knew this headache wouldn't go away without medicine, and there was no way that she could reach it.

What's a kitty? Kapurimon didn't know much of what in this world. So am I a kit-ty? Maybe it was some kind of nickname for digimon here, he wasn't sure. Kapurimon squirmed over and blinked twice keeping a wide gaze upon the small child. Cadmus tensed up, because of both Gaia resting on him and the little creature wiggling closer. He felt the small child's temperature as he felt her soft cheeks. It was very warm and Cadmus was a little concerned.
"Okay .. umm." He pause to think of a name for the 'cat'. "Yeah, this is ... Kappy." He finally replied. Kappy?! Really? That was a stupid name!!! But it was the first name he could think of when seeing the fluffy tailed thing.
"Alright, um, you stay here and sit down, okay? I'll go get the medicine." he softly spoke, "and you ... Kappy." he picked up the spherical creature and set it down next to Gaia. "You keep an eye on her." Kapurimon nodded and looked at Gaia again, he couldn't get his eyes off of her. Cadmus gently set her in a sitting position before he went to the kitchen again, grabbing the water bottle and the medicine from the refrigerator.

With her head in a fog, Gaia was unable to properly register most of what was around her. She still thought the fluffy tail belonged to a cat rather than, well, anything else. There was also the fact that she could make out what looked like a pair of pointed ears when her brother set it next to her. She flashed the creature a weak smile and held her hand out to it.
"Hey Kappy." she said, giggling a bit at the name. "Your name sounds almost like one of the nicknames that I gave to Nii-san when I was little." she told him matter-of-factly. Gaia wasn't exactly the type to feel embarrassed for talking to an animal, especially not when she wasn't exactly feeling very well.
Reaching out closer to touch it, she felt the soft fur of the digimon 'kitty's' tail. With the same weak smile on her face, she began to absent-mindedly stroke the fur as she waited for her brother to return. The main problem with her being left in a sitting position was that it made her even more aware of the slight relief she would get if she could just lay down and close her eyes for a bit. She would just lay down in here until Cadmus came back, at least that's what she told herself as she let herself curl up on his bed, her arms reaching out to try and wrap around the Kapurimon kitty.

Kapurimon only purred for a while. It was a nice feeling, being petted, he had never been given affection from what he can recall. He looked up as the small child spoke, "Really? What was it?" he was so eager to ask. "Do kitties talk in your world?" Kapurimon wasn't too sure, if they didn't well then he made a terrible mistake.
Maybe since she wasn't feeling too well, she'll forget! A worried look was on his face, he didn't want to get in trouble with his new partner. Kapurimon recalled that Cadmus freaked out when he spoke to him, How could I have forgot that? ... Curiosity killed the kitty, I guess.
By the time Cadmus came back he had already heard what Kapurimon said. He came closer to Gaia then spoke softly once more, "Do you want me to give it, or can you handle it yourself?" He figured maybe it would be better if he gave her the medicine but it couldn't have hurt to ask. Cadmus looked at 'Kappy' and shook his head slowly in disappointment, he shrugged right after. He didn't tell him not to talk to her so it wasn't really the creature's fault. [/sup]

Gaia grinned when the furry creature started purring from being pet. When it spoke to her, however, she felt as though the fever was making her hear things. She hadn't expected a response, let alone it asking what her brother's old nickname was or whether kitties talked in 'her world.' Though she was a bit perplexed, she still figured that she should still answer the creature's questions.
"Uhm, his nickname was Caddy." she said a bit hesitantly. "I couldn't say his name properly, and he seemed to like that one better than Cad'us." she continued before a fairly long pause after the question about whether or not kitties talked. Luckily enough for Gaia, it was during this silence that Cadmus had finally returned with her medicine. Glad that she wasn't alone anymore, she sat up a bit too quickly, causing the room to spin.
Reaching for the closest thing to grab onto to regain her balance, she ended up clinging to her brother. Once the room had stopped spinning, she was able to answer his question. "I can take it myself, I just need you to make sure it's the right dose. It's hard for me to read the label right." she said before giving the creature a sideways glance. She didn't want to say anything to him about hearing the thing speak. It was bad enough that she got sick easily, she didn't want him to think she was hallucinating.

Caddy?Well that's a cute name! Kapurimon kept repeating that name over and over again to himself, but only to himself. He kept a small frown on his face when Cadmus shook his head. He felt that he should have kept his mouth shut until the small girl was better. When Gaia sat up, Kapurimon rolled to his side. The small digimon blinked twice after that in confusion. Cadmus served a support hen his younger sister grabbed on to him. At first he ignored her response when she looked at Kappy. "Is ..there something wrong?" He knew she was looking at the 'kitty', but wasn't too sure. Cadmus kept a hold on the medicine and water bottle just in case.
While he was waiting for a response, he took that time to look at the label. "From the looks of it you only need one teaspoon." Cadmus paused and noticed he forgot to bring a spoon. "I'll be right back, I'm sorry." With that said he left the room once more. Cadmus felt a little dumb for not bringing one.

Still a bit nervous about having heard the kitty talking only a few moments ago, she simply shook her head when he asked her if anything was wrong. She just figured that it talking was just as much a hallucination as the fact that it looked like a puff ball with a tail and a helmet. Though her head was a bit foggy, she was able to rationalize enough to decide that she should wait until the medicine took effect before bringing up her concerns. As such, she simply watched and waited for her brother to pour out the necessary amount of liquid. Though she was ten years old, she had still not learned how to properly swallow pills, so the liquids were all that she could handle.
As she looked on from such a close proximity, she was quite surprised when Cadmus said something about forgetting the teaspoon. Not wanting him to leave he alone again, she clutched onto the sleeve of his shirt to keep him there with her. For being sick on top of how frail she was already, she had a surprisingly strong grip on his clothes. There was also the fact that he obviously didn't know the difference between a teaspoon and a tablespoon.
"It's that little cup thing on top of the lid." she informed him, pointing at the bottle with her free hand. "A normal spoon from the kitchen is a tablespoon, not a teaspoon. There should be markings on the side like a measuring cup." she finished, allowing her outstretched arm to go a bit limp as she brought it down to rest on her lap.
Instructing her brother on how to give her the medicine that she needed was taxing her already weakened state. The pain in her head was getting to the point of making her groggy, especially since it seemed to be creeping down her back and into her muscles. Whether it was the fever or the pain, it seemed as though her whole body was getting stiff and heavy.

He was taken by surprise when his younger sister grabbed on to his clothes. Cadmus immediately stopped movie when she did. When she asked about the cup Cadmus looked at the medicine. There it was, the cup. He sighed a little because of how blind he was and his face turned red.
Cadmus looked at the label once more to see how much he should put in the cup. After that he opened the lid then carefully poured the liquid into the cup. He carefully gave it to Gaia, "Um ... here. I hope you feel better." He didn't know what else to say, but he was sincere.
"You're silly Caddy." Kapurimon blurted out. Cadmus widened his eyes as he spoke, it turned into a glare. Why is he talking now?! His eyebrow twitched a little as he lowered his head into his palm. He took a deep breath as his hand slowly slipped off of his face. Remember Cadmus, you just met him. don't be too upset. He listened to his thoughts after letting out a deep sigh. [/sup]
