Bright lights could be so pretty.
The tip of her thick tail skimmed the water, sending ripples across it's smooth surface that gradually grew in size the farther they traveled away from the now slightly-soggy appendage. It water was actually at an enjoyable temperature tonight; not too hot or too cold, so she kept it there, ignoring the fact that the fur would probably get all icky if she accidentally fell asleep and allowed it to dip farther beneath the surface, but all the same not really caring. It was fun to watch the blaze of white and colored lights from the carnival at her back reflected on the darker surface like a mirror - much brighter than her own reflection was at this time of day.
Why was that? She mused. Why did the lights shine brighter at night, when she seemed to be brighter during the day? There were white and purple lights all the same - almost the same color as her own fur? How come they didn't stay the same all the time. She puzzled over it momentarily, allowing her tail to flick out - sending droplets of water spraying through the air and back onto herself, some of them making her sneeze as the drizzled down onto her snout. Hmm...this seemed to be a tricky one. She'd have to ask her human when he came back.
The tiny disturbances caused by her tail grew so large that they started to fade away entirely, until the smooth surface of the lake became completely still once more. Somewhere behind her, something screamed - but it was a happy scream, of someone having fun. Dorumon didn't worry to much about it - so long as it wasn't a sad or frightened yell. And there were lots of noises like that around here. Who could be unhappy in such a cheery place? That was why she liked it here. The happiness...and the big shiny lights.
Speaking of which, was it just her imagination, or had a few of them gone out? She was very careful to have counted them before, and knew there to be thirteen reds, sixteen whites, and fourteen purples in all. Now, starting from an area by the edge, and spreading outwards - there seemed to have been some that had their reflections disappear. How did that happen?
Maybe it was something beneath the water that was blocking the reflections. Curious, Dorumon rose slightly onto her haunches, so that she could lean out over the surface and try and spot a digimon who may have taken away the light's reflections. Her keen amber eyes and mind were so intent on searching the murky water that she didn't even think of the more likely alternative - that perhaps someone from behind her, rather than in front, was stopping the lights from ever hitting the mirror surface of the water. That maybe, she wasn't as alone at the water's edge as she thought...

Why was he here? Tsukaimon couldn't answer that question to himself. The bright lights of the Amusement Park... they were almost hypnotizing to watch. He hadn't had anywhere else to go, and had seen the lights in the distance. They were his only hope to find more digimon. He was so tired of being alone and unwanted. This form... despite its unique color, it drove off other rookie, in-training, and fresh forms. Even here, in the bright lights of the park, other digimon avoided him.
He continued through the park, trying to avoid other digimon as much as possible. They avoided him already, so why bother them? Tsukaimon passed by what looked like a large wheel spinning around. Various digimon sat in pairs on seats that are hanging off the edge of the wheel. He watched the Ferris wheel spin around for a moment before heading off again, through the small crowd of digimon that had gathered at the park.
He made it through the park with minimal issues. Digimon just avoided him rather than confronted him. Tsukaimon sighed and headed out towards the water, unsure what else he could do at the moment. There was another digimon out by the water, however there wasn't enough light from the amusement park to illuminate the digimon. Tired of walking, he flapped his wings a few times and rose into the air. It took him a few minutes, but he settled himself near, but not too close to, the other digimon.
"U-um. I hope you don't mind if I rest here. If you do, I have no problem moving."

Dorumon had to dig her claws into the mushy banks of the water to avoid pitching forward and ending up in the drink herself. As far as she had known, she'd been alone, but she had overlooked the fact that she would not always remain so. Not that she didn't mind company - in fact, the sound of the hesitant voice made her heart soar. It was a rare time indeed when anyone willing came up to talk to her.
"No, no! Of course I don't mind - I don't mind at all if you don't mind, and if you minded then you wouldn't have come and asked me in the first place, would you?" Dorumon babbled, straightening up as best she could, though she stumbled in her excitement and had to catch herself on the soft group. Her bottle-brush tail swished from side to side in a very dog-like fashion; betraying just how excited she was, but as she turned around, she found the Tsukaimon sitting a few feet away, and her heart dropped slightly. Tsukaimon could be particularly mean-spirited, especially when compared with their Patamon cousins. She didn't mean to jump to conclusions, but when most digimon weren't very nice to you, it tended to be something you couldn't really avoid.
"You're not going to try and pull some sort of prank on me, are you? I like having a joke as much as the next person, but, well...I won't like it if you start being mean."

SnowAgumon loved the amusement park. She loved the colors and sounds, all of it. She ran back and forth among the rides. She wished she had brought some friends with her. It wasn't as fun on her own. She hung her head, but then raised it. She would go find some new friends then! She swung her head around, looking for someone who looked fun.
She spotted two purple digimon sitting by the water. She cocked her head to one side. They were sitting far apart. Maybe they weren't here together? She decided to go and meet them. She charged over to them, intending to surprise them. She was almost to them when she tried to stop, digging her heals into the marshy ground. She was going to fast and couldn't stop!
She tripped over her own feet, falling and sliding over the bank into the water; spraying sand and water over the other digimon. She floundered for a moment, before pulling herself out of the water. She shook herself, spraying water everywhere. She looked at the other digimon with a mix of humor and embarrassment.
"I'm sorry about that. I just wanted to come meet you two." she looked at them. She loved their colors! Purple was her favorite color. "You are both such beautiful colors! I love purple. Oh, I'm SnowAgumon, by the way" she gave them both a happy grin.

It seemed only seconds after she had mentioned the possibility of being pranked - but all she saw was a flash of white and suddenly she was shaking sand and water that splashed her nose and tickled enough that a not-so delicate sneeze was soon to follow, landing her on her own backside. Well, at least she hadn't ended up in the drink - but maybe she had jumped to conclusions too soon about the other purple digimon being a prankster. Because what surfaced from the water was actually another digimon - and after the newcomer initial introduction, she didn't really think the two knew each other at all, or had enough time to plan anything...
Which meant...oh joy! Was it possible that here before her were two digimon who actually wanted to be friendly? They certainly seemed so. Maybe they had come looking for advice, or to debate - or more likely, since they had approached her, they hadn't a clue what Dorumon usually did to make other's head for the hills - but that was alright by her! She was so desperate for attention over what had seemed like the last few ages she was just about ready to make like a Gomamon and try to make friends with the brightly colored fish that swam between the waters of the content and Islands!
"No harm done, at least I don't think so. Not unless you shrink when you get soggy. I don't think I do..." At least, she'd been out in the rain enough that that theory seemed disprove. Of course, she could just be speaking for herself. "I mean... neither of you shrink when wet, do you? Sometimes it happens, or you get and wrinkly...at least you do if you don't have fur. You may want to get out of the water, just in case. Shake yourself off, you'll dry faster." She counselled the newcomer, SnowAgumon, but her gaze flickered back and forth between her and Tsukaimon - as if watching to make sure neither of them got any smaller from accidental water shrinkage.
