Kazai was planning to spend some quality time with her older brother, Renn, today. It had been a while since they had really bonded, after all, and he promised to take her out for lunch. Today was a Saturday, so it wasn't like she was busy with school or anything like that. As such, she wasn't even dressed in her school uniform, but rather a long-sleeved jacket, tank top, and navy blue skirt along with flip flops. It was just rather casual attire. She held DemiMeramon in her arms, though she fit slightly as a possible plus doll, only attracting a tiny bit of attention. Most people were too busy minding their own business to notice that the doll seemed to be engulfed in a thin layer of flames anyway.
It had been a couple days since Kazai had told her brother about the Digimon and entreated his help in figuring out how to send the Digimon back into the Digital World, but so far that just seemed to be impossible. It wasn't an easy task, and Kazai really didn't know any other Digidestineds aside from Ryutaro to ask, and he hadn't figured it out either yet. Even if he did, it was unlikely that he would tell her.
In any case, now on their way to find a nice restaurant for lunch, DemiMeramon began to feel an odd energy radiating leaking into her body. What it was, she didn't know, but it surely made her feel strange. Suddenly, from within Kazai's arms, she began to glow and grow. Kazai stopped in her tracks and looked down at the Digimon.
=>
"Petitmamon!"
Kazai looked down in shock as the Digimon she had been holding in her arms suddenly grew in size in front of her. She looked at the Digimon in shock.
"You digivolved!" Kazai gasped in shock.
OOC; The source of energy that DemiMeramon senses is the Digiegg of Darkness within A.I.R.'s shop. Just to further clarify, we are outside of the A.I.R. building at this point in time.

Smiling Renn watched as the cars went by, eyes focused on the sidewalk ahead. Today he wanted to bring his youngest sister out to eat. It was his treat and he was paying for anything she bought. He was happy to do this for Kazai- and as much as he denied it, he favored her a bit more than his other younger sister Misaka- though it rarely showed.
Adjusting his glasses he blinked as he noticed a flash of light int he corner of his eyes. Gasping he turned over towards the light as it died down. Glancing around the streets he wondered if anyone saw this transformation. Luckily no one had and it was safe to breath now. Good thing no one noticed- he'd have a hard time explaining why the 'doll' changed shape suddenly and out of nowhere. "So that's digivolution..." He adjusted his glasses with his index finger at the bridge of his nose. "Fascinating." Sounding like every bit of the nerd that he was. "So now what Kazai-chan?"

The Digivolution had been so sudden, and almost unprecedented. When DemiVeemon had digivolved a while back, it had been galvanized by a need to protect and help Misaka, yet this had happened for almost no reason at all. It was a shock and it was surprising. It had both, Petitmamon and Kazai baffled in many more ways than one. Kazai's digivice hadn't even reacted to it. The little Digimon would lean her head back and look up at Kazai.
"That was... odd," Petitmamon stated. She then pointed out her right index finger to the left to divert both, Kazai and Renn's attention to the tall building adjacent to the two of them.
"There's an odd energy coming from in there! A dark one."
Kazai then shuffled her feet to rotate her body and get a better look at the building. It was a funny thing that she had never even noticed the building before. She passed by it almost every day, yet had never even once wondered what was inside of there. And now that she did see it, it really made her start to wonder a number of things.
"Renn... I can't help other than to think that that building has something to do with Digimon if Petitmamon can sense something odd coming from there," Kazai reasoned. It would make sense if what she said were true. And it didn't make sense that in this wide world, no one else knew about Digimon. They were obviously being kept on the down low, but... somewhere someone had to know something.
"Maybe they can help us find Petitmamon's home."

Renn's eyes followed Petitmon's line of sight. Staring at the tall almost unassuming building hidden behind some taller buildings. But he couldn't help but have a bad feeling about this. He may not know a lot about digimon (in which he wants to learn as much as possible). But something seemed too odd about it. He wasn't usually superstitious or anything but he felt dread just by looking at the building.
"Ah- are you sure we should go there?" He questioned unsure as he glanced at Kazai a frown evident on his face as he adjusted his glasses again, out of habit more than necessity. "I mean- I don't know if they'll let us, a bunch of kids walk right in..." Would they even believe their story? He doubted it greatly as he grimaced. "But- I guess we can at least take a look." He spoke up once more as he sighed inwardly. Plus if this would help Petitmon then so be it, he couldn't let Kazai down...

"Well... It's not like we're just a bunch of kids," Kazai said quite stubbornly. "We also have Petitmamon, a Digimon, with us in case something goes wrong."
"That's right!" Petitmamon reinforced. After all, she'd do anything to help Kazai. She was just so happy that kazai had realized her now as a protector. She couldn't let Kazai down. She'd help Kazai through anything. That was why they were partners. That was why they had been given a bond through the creation of a digivice. It was a destiny and a fate chosen by the Digital World itself. It was a task that Petitmamon was pleased to be burdened with.
"So come on, big brother," Kazai said. She was already unusually enthusiastic. This was something that Renn would have to take notice to. His sister was almost never like this, but the prospect of adventure had most certainly gotten to her. With this, tightened her hug on Petitmamon and dashed toward the building, making her way to the entrance.
Once outside of the entrance, she'd stop and look back to make sure her brother was coming. She wasn't going to go in without him unless she had to. There was always safety in numbers. Petitmamon had sensed something evil with radiating energy on the inside. Kazai wanted to find out what it was as soon as possible. Her intuition told her that the radiating dark energy Petitmamon mentioned had something to do with Digimon, and she knew that whatever was inside would be able to guide her to the Digital World.

"Why do you always have to put me in this bag?"
Gummymon wiggled restlessly, cramped up inside Samantha's messenger bag as they headed toward the A.I.R. building. Sammy couldn't help but frown at the in-training's complaints, not liking this anymore than her partner did. "Gummy, you know I can't just walking into work with you. What if..." The girl trailed off with a solemn sigh, biting her lip slightly as she began to question her decision to take Gummymon with her in the first place. What would happen if her fellow A.I.R. members found out she was a digidestined herself? What would happen to her? ...What would happen to Gummymon?
...Sammy didn't want to think about it. Her heart ached just thinking about it.
"Look, once we're there I'll take you out for a walk outside camp, alright?" Sammy spoke lowly, as they were heading right up toward the building. She would have to be careful now if she wanted to speak with her partner, trying her best not to seem edgy as she came closer toward the entrance of the building. This was always tough for her for whatever reason, despite having done it several times... she just didn't want to seem suspicious.
"Yeah, yeah... alright," Gummymon responded quietly, feeling her partner's uneasy and adjusting to it. The digimon paused after a moment though, ears perking some as she sensed something.
...!
"Sammy! I can sense another digimon!" the little in-training's voice was not as quiet as it had been a moment earlier, making Sammy panic pointlessly before she realized no one was around to even hear Gummymon. Normally, she might ask Gummymon more, but she was afraid to open her mouth at the moment. They were too close to the building, way too close to be blurting things out like this.
So, Sammy simply strolled onward, coming to hold her messenger bag in a way so she was hugging it; partly to comfort herself and partly to keep Gummymon from wiggling too much. As she came to the entrance she was surprised to spot two children standing there...and... ?!
"Oh my go.... What are you doing here?!" Sammy inquired in a small panic, biting her lip as her eyes fell on PetitMamon. She almost immediately recognized it as a digimon, able to recognize more than a few since she worked with them. Why would two kids with a digimon be here?! This was no place for them... What is someone else saw?! Despite being an A.I.R. member, Sammy would never want anything to happen to someone and their partner.

Renn frowned, that wasn't really reassuring but he couldn't help but not deny his rather enthusiastic sister. She rarely if ever got this hyped up about something. It brought joy to him to see her so happy. He thus concluded that digimon weren't as bad as he first concluded. Anything that brought his family happiness was good to him. Snapping out of his revere he barely noticed Kazai running ahead as he stared before reacting.
"Ah! M-Matte!" He called out as he ran up behind his little sister before stopping short, stuttering forward a bit before stopping on his tip toes. Putting his feet down he sighed as he stared at the newcomer. Adjusting his glasses he tried looking at the new arrival. "O-Oh? Hello ma'am, we're just- uh... we're just looking around! N-Nothing suspicious! Right Kazai-chan?" He laughed awkwardly as he didn't realize his suspicious he sounded right now despite his protests of being unassuming.
"We're just curious about that building." He said suddenly unable to stop himself from blabbing. 'Urk! Me and my girl problems!' He cringed as he found himself blabbing once more like an idiot. 'Ugh... Stupid stupid!' He berated himself before wisly shutting up and letting his sister do the talking.

Kazai stopped upon hearing the voice of someone coming up behind her. It was a woman, a bit older than both, herself and her brother. Quite intriguing that this woman would try to stop her upon going into the building, but suspicious nonetheless. Kazai was certain at this point that the woman had something to do with the building. At the very least, she knew what was inside of it. Otherwise, she wouldn't have stopped to ask such a silly and invasive question.
"And we're going inside," Kazai added to her brother's statement. She wasn't about to change her mind. She was going to go inside if she had to fight all the way. After all, Petitmamon had convinced her. There was some powerful object inside of there that had galvanized her digivolution into a rookie form. If that was the case, then there had to be something very powerful within, or at least information about Digimon.
As much as Petitmamon wanted to add in her insight as well, she knew that it was best for her to continue pretending to be a doll. She held her eyes open, leaning a bit limp with only her head held up.
"You got a problem with that, lady?"

Sammy's gaze went from one child to the next as they both spoke, frowning slightly at the boy's awkwardness and shifting as if this was suddenly strange for her was well. This wasn't something she was exactly good with, realizing she wasn't entirely sure how to confront the two siblings. Samantha felt especially put off by Kazai's question, blinking and looking at the girl, the light frown still on her fact. Lady?! She wasn't that old! Sammy was sure the girl's words were meant in some kind of sourness, or at least that is how she took them. Biting her lip once again, Sammy had to question why this little person being so rude to her. And she was even trying to help...
...of course, she supposed they wouldn't know that, sighing slightly and going to hug her bag a little more. It would be wrong to hold it against them, feeling she could understand their unease with someone they didn't even know. "I'm sorry, I'm not...I didn't mean to interrupt you, I just noticed..." trailing off, Samantha's gaze went to PetitMamon once more, confident that it was a digimon. How could she get through to them that this was no place for little kids with digimon, definitely no place. She wasn't sure, especially with how close they were to the A.I.R. building now. If someone saw her shoo them away, they would definitely get suspicious.
"That's a very cute little doll you have there," Sammy complimented, point to PetitMamon and smiling. " You know, I work in there... and I'm not sure if they allow kids without their parents inside." Oh boy... well, that was a lie. That fact shined through her smile without a problem, as Sammy was possibly one of the worst liars she knew.
Meanwhile, Gummymon wiggled into Samantha's messenger bag, giving a muffled complaint as she did. It was most likely noticeable, making Sammy uneasy. The girl hoped it would go unnoticed though, smiling at both Kazai and then Renn. Hhn...Why did everything have to be so difficult?

Maybe this wasn't s good idea... Maybe they should turn back? But knowing his sister she was stubborn. She'd want to go no matter what anyone said. Renn sighed mentally, why did he have such a headstrong sister? Actually- now that he thought about it- both of his sisters' were headstrong! Was he the only leveled headed out of the three?
Oh well- he didn't have time to worry about such things, instead he managed to calm down a bit and reigned in his control not to fidget and stutter like an idiot in front of the woman- er girl. "B-But I'm old enough! I'm sixteen! I can look out for her, I'm very responsible!" Renn protested as he crossed his arms confidently. One thing was for sure- he'd protect his sister no matter what. Even if he didn't have a digimon. "S-So can we go in?"

Kazai pretty much wanted to slap her forehead at what her brother had said. He was sixteen. Damn it! If they needed an adult, he should have said he was eighteen. Common sense, right? He was much too honest for achieving the goals she wished to achieve. And, it would be much more believable that he was eighteen than that she was. After all, she was a small girl, who was rather underdeveloped for her age, particularly in the chest and waist, though she was of average height.
"He meant he was eighteen, by the way," Kazai said, now attempting to rectify the situation. She would probably be able to easily tell that Kazai was lying, but there wasn't much else Kazai could do at this point. She could ask the woman to be her tour guide, but that was just silly. No matter, if worst came to worst, she always had Petitmamon to protect her as well.
In any case, Kazai would say nothing more. She had said all that she wanted to say. They had chattered too much already. She wanted to find out what lay inside of the building, and she wasn't going to give the woman a chance to stop her. With that, she quicly began walking toward the door and soon made her entry inside of it. Her brother and Samantha would have to follow her if they wanted to join her. Otherwise, she was going in by herself. It was stubborn determination on her part.
Arriving at the double doors, they would open as Kazai stepped on the entrance mat. If there were security features, they were most likely further in. The entrance itself didn't seem very secretive. Kazai could only wonder, however, what laid inside of the building, and what the source of this Dark Energy that Petitmamon had sensed was.

Samantha looked between the two, further put off at the fact that Kazai would lie to her... and in such a painfully obvious way Sammy wasn't sure if she should be offended or amused. This wasn't really a situation for either feeling however, the girl frowning as they simply went to walk into the building despite her warnings. Agh! Was she going to have to right out explain it to them? ...It probably wouldn't end well if she did, especially this close to the building.
"Wait!" Sammy called out in a hushed voice, hurrying after the two of them. She looked from the other girl to Renn, already deciding he seemed to be the much nicer of the two. Samantha wondered if the boy would be more inclined to listen to her than Kazai, giving him a look that was almost pleading, "Look, this place... people like...like... you shouldn't go in!"
...well, that didn't sound offensive at all.
Sammy realized she was horrible at being subtle or giving hints, sighing to herself and nearly about to speak again when Gummymon popped her way out of Samm's bag. The in-training's ears stood up, completely aware of the danger she was most likely putting both herself and her partner in... and well, simply not caring. It was rather careless of someone would was suppose to protect their partner, but at the same time Gummymon was arrogant enough to believe she could take on anything that was going to harm Sammy. At the moment however, she was just lucky no one was in the front of the building to spot them.
" 'Ey! What's your problem?! The girl said you're not allowed in, so you're not allowed in! Get it through your head!" Gummymon shouted to Kazai, finding herself fairly irritated with the other girl. Sammy on the other hand seemed horrified, looking around in a panic and trying to stuff Gummymon back into her bag.

People like them? Did she mean people with Digimon? What could possibly be going on in there? Now Renn wanted to know too... Suddenly a small gummy-like digimon popped up from the girl's bag, causing his eyes to widen. It was a-a! "Digimon?!" He whsipered, "What are you guys doing in there that require digimon?" He questioned voice filled with suspicion. Glancing at his sister he wondered how she would react. "I don't know about you Kazai, but now I think I'm interested enjoy to check this place out!" Staring firmly (as he could) into Samantha's eyes he spoke up. "I think you should let us through miss- we can handle our selves..."

By this point, however, Kazai had already neglected to notice the Gummymon and had entered into the building. Petitmamon, however, had heard. Her ear raised up in curiosity. She wondered who's voice that was which had called out, but knew that Kazai had no interest in stopping, and thus decided not to mention it either. Kazai's mind was somewhere else, and when Kazai was focused on something, she was going figure out what was going on in this building.
"So can you still sense that dark energy?" Kazai asked Petitmamon curiously. Regardless, she didn't stop. Renn and Samantha were going to have to start walking if they wished to keep up with Kazai. Kazai was on full alert all the while. Petitmamon raised her index finger and pointed straight head.
"Yeah! It's coming from down that way!" Petitmamon directed the girl. And of course, Kazai continued making her way in that direction down the hallway.
"Good! I hope we find it!"

...!!
Sammy looked from Renn to Kazai, still panicking the further they moved into the building. Gummymon still refused to sink back down into her messenger bag, only freaking her out more and forcing her gaze to move back and forth as she hoped none of the other A.I.R. members would be spotting them. This wasn't right! Samantha couldn't believe the two wouldn't listen to her... following after them quickly as she attempted to get their attention again.
"W-wait..." the girl trailed off, knowing there was most likely no way to change their minds and get them to turn away, even if that was what she would've hoped for. At this point, she was merely praying for luck. If any of her fellow coworkers were to spot PetitMamon and Gummymon in her possession... well, things wouldn't end well at all.
"Look, just... just tell me what you want, okay?" Samantha said in a hushed voice, trying to keep her pace with both Kazai and Renn. "Are you looking for something?" she inquired quietly, having overheard the rookie in Kazai's arms. Her voice was broken up some, trying hard to ignore the thumping of her heart racing in her chest. If only these kids knew how much trouble they were getting themselves into... not to mention herself as well. Of course, Samantha could have just turned the other cheek and ignored them... however, that didn't seem right. Not when there was something she could do about it.
"How rude," Gummymon huffed to herself as she was basically ignored, narrowing her eyes at the other human and their partner. The digimon could already feel herself building up some sort of grudge against the two, though really that was nothing unusual. Gummymon rarely got along with anyone, Samantha being the exception.
"Come on Samm, jus' let 'em get caught. They probably deserve it anyway," Gummymon nudged Sammy with her head, speaking just loud enough for the other's to hear. The in-training really just wanted to get some sort of rise out of them -- her attempt to start a fight not entirely appreciated by her human partner.
