It was after hours, of course, so it wasn't like there was really anyone else here. Lopmon and Nate could go around looking pretty freely, and if they did run into anyone, Lopmon could use her Digimon magic to get away, just as they had done on a number of different occasions. On her lap, Lopmon had laid out a map of all Odaiba. It was such a big place. And so far, it seemed that so many people lived here. It was much bigger than any city Lopmon had seen so far, well, aside from New York. Though from what she had seen, while it may not have been as big as New York, it may have had many more people. "So we'll just keep looking until we find a woman who looks like you!" Lopmon said as cheerfully as she could muster. She really did hope that Nate would be able to find his mother. It would be depressing if he couldn't. That was one of the many reasons she had joined him. "Well, sit down, buddy!" Lopmon said. She used her right ear to pat the area next to him to gesticulate for him to sit there. "And... Can I have a candy bar now?" Lopmon asked. From what she remembered, she and Nate been able to sneak out of a convenience store with a whole entire box of chocolate, and while it wasn't food, it was good enough for Lopmon. This was a stupid idea,” it wouldn’t get better any time soon either. This is why he hated it when people made important, life-altering, sorts of decisions without thinking things through first. He’d had a child’s frame of mind back when he had decided to go on this journey, a stupid childish decision.
And Lopmon was right. Naïve as she was, even she realized the biggest of all the major flaws in Nate’s majorly screwed up plan. They didn’t even know what his mother looked like! Now, how stupid was that? Gah... maybe she would have noticeably large ears... What was he saying?! His ears were... were perfectly normal.
The boy adjusted his brown beanie cap, pulling it further down over his hair and ears as he sat down beside Lopmon. ”Yeah, maybe I look juuuust like her,” he retorted sarcastically, failing to return her optimism. He reached one hand into his sweatshirt pocket, from within Nate extracted a chocolate bar and shoved it in the rabbit’s direction. ”Now shut up and eat it.” A second one, he retrieved with his other hand, and took it out for himself. Lopmon couldn't even begin to understand Nathan. But it really didn't matter. She had already decided that he was her best friend,m and she knew that he needed a traveling partner. He would never admit to it, but he would get lonely if he had to travel alone. Lopmon thought so. In fact, she was sure of it. That was one of the reasons she was so determined to stay with him no matter what. Or at least, it was that fact combined with her unwavering dedication because of the fact that he had saved her life. "Oh yay! Chocolate!" Lopmon said excitedly as she took the chocolate bar. She peeled it open and began to munch on the chocolate. Nate had probably come to know by now that chocolate was one of Lopmon's favorite foods. She liked it more than even cooked meals... hopefully it wasn't bad for Digimon. But really, Lopmon liked all food. "This is really good, Natty!" Lopmon said as she continued to munch on her little treat. It was just so delicious! Satisfying. She enjoyed every bite. However, now Lopmon had switched over to just licking the top of her chocolate bar. She wanted to savor the taste, and she could do that just through the licking without decreasing the amount of food she had to eat. Fall. It was Anthony's favorite time of the year. October would soon be here, and with that came the one day of the year that he looked forward to the most. No, not his birthday, even though that was coming up this month as well, and it was obviously too far away from Christmas - and who looked forward to Thanksgiving?
HALLOWEEN!
That was the one holiday that Anthony planned for, yearned for all year long. He loved the fact that many places began putting on their haunted shows earlier on in the month so that the horrorfest wasn't confined to the single day of All Hallows Eve. The fact that he had a crazy twin sister meant that going to these haunted houses was always a real treat. Granted they would get thrown out if he couldn't keep her under control, but even that could be entertaining.
Right now, however, he was walking around the mall taking in the dark and eerie scenery that came about only at night. Normally there weren't too many people around here at night, but on the rare occasions that they were, it made for an excellent scene to scare the living daylights out of them. The fact that his partner digimon itself was fairly creepy, what with it's dinosaur like feet and tail being the only visible parts, only made this more interesting. He loved bringing his digimon out at this time of year because he simply looked like a 4 year old in a really creepy costume.
As he was walking, he finally spotted a pair of figures, well, more like he heard them talking and figured out which direction the sound was coming from. With a mischievous smirk, he turned to his kotemon and said, "So Bug, you ready to have some fun?" The nickname 'Bug' had come from having started this particular prank some years ago, and wanting to keep the essence of a kid in a costume was difficult if anyone heard him call the think 'Kotemon' since that didn't sound very natural, even for a nickname.
"I'm ready to go when you are." came the Kotemon's voice from behind his mask. So with a simple nod from Anthony, Kotemon began to make his move towards the pair. Coming up from behind them, he purposely began to make soft shuffling noises with his feet to grab their attention. Since it was dark, all that was really visible of the kendo dinosaur was his glowing yellow eyes from behind the protective mask that covered his face. "Thieves. . . thieves. You have taken that which does not belong to you. Now you must PAAAAAAAAY!" The Kotemon said, starting out in a soft and quite eerie tone before building himself up to try his best to be threatening. He honestly knew nothing about the candy bars having been stolen, he just knew that calling someone a thief was usually the best way to get them scared. On the one hand, if they really had stolen something, they would feel threatened at someone else knowing, while on the other, if they hadn't knowingly stolen something, they would try to convince him of their innocence. It was definitely one of his favorite pranks.[/blockquote]

I’m not Natty Gann,” the boy sighed, shaking his head at the floppy-eared creature beside him. Was it even worth his effort to protest? She would probably call him by whatever name she wanted anyway.
Nate peeled back the wrapping from the candy bar he had taken out for himself. Junk food probably wasn’t the best thing for him to live off of. Especially at this point in his life. Yet it was all they had... candy bars were much easier to steal than say, meat and cheeses, and he and Lopmon certainly were not wishing to get themselves caught any time soon. He chomped into the chocolate; at least, it tasted good...
Halfway through his chocolate bar, a quiet but audible shuffling of feet started to come from somewhere beyond the bench. It was behind them, Nate’s ear twitched slightly, his head turning slowly toward the sound. Wherever it was coming from... The voice came next, slow at first, and soft. Gradually it grew louder and louder, as if a ghost, definitely a voice that Nate would categorize in the spooky category. Yet all of it was topped by the glowing yellow eyes, staring out at them through the darkness.
The boy’s hand moved to grab hold of the back of the bench, his body turning with him as he moved to sit on his knees. Full on facing this... creature or... ghost...? Why couldn’t these weird Japanese demons just leave him alone? It wasn’t as if he had any clue as to what it were saying! Speaking of which... ”Lopmon… What is that thing saying?” he pointed his finger toward the glowing eyes, just in case the bunny had failed to notice it already. He wouldn’t put it past her, she seemed so happy to be eating chocolate right now that she could easily have forgotten there was an entire world out there.

She had been paying very little attention to whatever it was that Nate had been saying to her. It hardly mattered to her. She could call him whatever she wanted to, though she wouldn't out of respect to him. She could listen to such a reasonable request, or at least decide a better name to call him in place of that one. However, in no time, she had finished eating the bar and had thrown the wrapper onto the ground. She no longer needed it, after all. However, soon she heard a quite eerie voice coming from right behind her. Apparently she and Nate weren't the only two inside of the mall after hours. Lopmon left ear stood erect. Someone knew of their thievery? From the sound of it, that was the case. Fear rose. She wondered who it was. They must have known. If not, it had to be mall security. "Mall Security! Don't worry about it, Nat, I'll take care of it!" Lopmon replied. Quickly, she jumped up into the air. She spread her wings to help her hover in the air, and facing the Kotemon, she fired a powerful pink energy blast in his face. "Bunny Blast!" Not wanting to miss the reactions of those he had come across while Kotemon got most of the fun, Antony made sure to keep close enough to be able to see what was going on. A twisted grin of amusement pulled at his lips as he watched the fear rise in a boy and his . . . digimon? Well this was even more interesting than he had initially anticipated. Most of the time he just scared someone and they thought Kotemon was just a kid in a costume - but with another digimon present, he could extend this little bit of entertainment into a battle.
Just as he thought, a battle was what was in store for them as the fearless bunny rose up to shoot out an attack from it's mouth. It aimed straight for Kotemon's face - big mistake. The moment Kotemon recognized the second figure as a digimon, he readied his kendo sword for battle. He watched and waited for the first attack to come so that he could counter it - a strategy that Antony himself had taught the little guy. He not only waited for the blast to gather together, but for the bunny to actually fire the blast as well.
Just after the bunny blast had been fired, Kotemon fired his own long range attack. His yellow eyes, already glowing in the darkness merely grew brighter as he powered up as well. Once the pink energy blast was halfway to him, he released his own yellow energy directly from behind his face mask to meet the opponent's in midair.
"fire mask"
The two energy blasts canceled each other out in a small explosion, which Kotemon used as cover for his counterattack. Jumping through the blast, protected slightly from his armored clothing, he pulled his sword along his side as he prepared to swing it. Once he was through, he made the motion of bringing the sword up and forward from it's position beside and below his waist. Since the blast had blocked his view, he could only aim for where the other digimon had been moments before. He knew that there was a chance for it to have moved, but he would just have to take that chance.

You don’t just up and attack mall security like that! What in the world was she thinking? That did it, they were going to have a talk later on about recklessly diving into avoidable predicaments. With her around, Nat was more likely to end up in some form of juvenile detention center than to find what he had come here to search for.
Staring with a rather annoyed look on his face, both at the intrusion and at Lopmon's hasty actions, the boy slowly began to notice a few of the things that were just entirely out of place right now. ...Come to think of it, the ‘person’ in front of them did look rather unorthodox for someone whose job was supposedly enforcing the rules of this shopping area.
With eyes widening slightly in surprise, Nate watched as Lopmon’s bunny blast shot toward the ‘enforcer’. However, they reverted back to normal again a few seconds later, his eyelids lowering halfway to reflect his loss of concern for the masked creature. The fact that it had been able to shoot out some strange energy blast, in order to cancel out Lopmon’s, made it clear that it could be no kind of mall security that Nate knew of. Rather, it had to be yet another being like Lopmon. The insanity just never ends.

It was surprising, and it had caught her terribly off guard. To make matters worse, she hadn't put much power into her attack, so not only was her attack canceled out, but the attack of her opponent also burst through the smog and hit her square in the face which was enough to make her yelp out in pain and drop her candy bar. Before she could recover, the opposing Digimon's sword struck through the smoke and hit Lopmon square in the stomach, effectively stabbing her with the blunt object. "Ah!" Lopmon cried out in pain. It was obvious to her at this point that her opponent was a digimon... but could it be him? Was this digimon the Dark one of the Digital World, coming to claim her again? She wasn't sure, but her suspicions were rising. What other Digimon would have come from the Digital World hoping to fight her? Who else would be watching her closely enough to know that she had been stealing? "Nate! Run!" She screamed to her partner. She wasn't sure if this was Devimon, but if it was, she definitely didn't want Nate getting involved with him. Lopmon would have to fight her own battles. And after facing an attack as brutal as the one that had just been laid upon her, she knew that Nate couldn't possibly help her. Kotemon's fire mask attack had not only dissipated the lopmon's attack, but had been strong enough to continue through and hit her. In the end, he didn't need to go through with his second attack with his kendo stick, but it still hit his target nonetheless. Once it had connected, the swordsman digimon continued his jump and landed on his feet between this digimon and her partner. Turning back to face the brown rabbit, he stood in a ready stance, prepared for a fight.
Though Antony had expected Kotemon to have the upper hand in the battle due to the fact that the two sparred daily, the fact that his digimon had already taken the battle within the first two moves made him lose it for a moment. He began to laugh almost uncontrollably, and quite maniacally to be honest. "That was absolutely pathetic!" he said as he emerged from the shadows closer to the digimon than the boy.
"Agreed Sensei." the masked digimon said in his normal, yet still somewhat creepy voice. He thought for a moment about questioning whether the pair was even worth their time or not, but decided to hold his tongue. Whether he had the other digimon outmatched or not never seemed to matter much to his human partner. All he could do was wait to see if the other digimon would attack or if his human would give an order to attack.
As for Antony himself, his whole prank had been ruined, but not by the fact that the boy had a digimon. No, that had actually made it more interesting than a simple prank of scaring unsuspecting humans. What had ruined the fun was the fact that even if he continued the battle, it wouldn't be very much fun other than the fact that the other digimon would end up beaten to a pulp. As for the kid, his fate could depend on what he did.
It was pretty much a standoff at the moment. If either of them made a move, Kotemon was ready for it, and it wasn't like Antony couldn't hold his own against a digimon. Then again, he hadn't met any digimon who were partnered with humans that would attack. They all seemed to be more focused on defense rather than offense, and he was definitely getting that protective vibe right now from them.
"So what say you Kotemon, shall we play with them a bit?" he asked, though Kotemon knew that it wasn't a question, nor was it an offering for his opinion. With Antony, this was his command to attack. He was quite deceitful with the way he worded his commands, using his words as part of the battle. As such, Kotemon began to power up his next attack, putting his energy into his hands as they, much like his mask, began to glow in that same eerie yellow. Once he had enough energy, he made his move towards the Lopmon, pushing the energy in his hands into his sword.[/blockquote] "Thunder Gauntlet!"

He recognized that she had been hit, yes, twice, and was now on the ground vulnerable to more attacks. However, did she really expect Nate to just run away? To be honest, he wasn’t seeing anything in the vicinity that could pose a serious danger to his well being. There was another human like himself, plus a digimon in a mask. With his knowledge of digimon being limited as it was, -mostly in part due to his denial of whatever Lopmon tried to tell him - he had no idea to what extent they were capable of causing damage.
For that reason, he was not so much as worried about getting injured himself as he was wondering what was going on around him. Namely, the language, he was growing sick and tired of not understanding the words from these people's mouths. Nathaniel could not understand what the other human was saying, but it was something directed toward the masked creature. Whether it related to him and Lopmon, however, was beyond him.
"Quit fooling around, Lopmon. Just get up." The boy jumped off the bench, moving to stand somewhere a few feet behind the bunny-like digimon. The level to which his confusion had risen was ridiculous. Nat had next to no clue in regards to what the heck was going on. On the outside however, he was trying to maintain a veil of calmness, hoping that no one would notice how very lost he was in all of this.

This wasn't good. Lopmon still didn't know who this enemy was, and just by the simple fact that they were targeting her, she could make her own deductions, and whatever deductions she made weren't good. This Digimon had a rather dark looking appeal as well. His face couldn't be seen, and he seemed completely ruthless. The way that he attacked without any hesitation showed very little regard for the lives of others, especially her. Lopmon knew that she needed to remain on her guard if she was going to somehow manage to survive in this fight. "Nate, I told you to run," Lopmon repeated again, more sternly. No matter what, she didn't want to see him get hurt. She had promised to protect him with her life to repay the eternal debt she owed him for having saved her life. This was a promise that Lopmon was dedicated to maintain. Did Nate not realize how guilty she'd feel if he got hurt? Did he not know how fragile he was as a human? One fatal hit is all it would take. Lopmon pushed herself up off of the ground. She was already very wounded and very fatigued, but at the same time, she still felt that vigor spirit inside of her which would allow her to persevere, if only she could get herself to move. Lopmon now stood, though she kept her focus on the enemy, Kotemon. Kotemon began to charge up his attack, a coat of lightning covered his sword. Lopmon reflexively covered her body with her ears to block. Although this blocked the blunt force of the physical attack, it also allowed the electricity to course through her. A powerful jolt caused her to scream out again. As Kotemon was keeping the human and digimon occupied, Antony quietly walked around in the shadows, thinking about what he wanted to do. The digimon wasn't putting up enough of a fight to be entertaining enough for him, and the boy was just standing there like an idiot. From what he could deduce, the boy was American - and even better, he didn't seem to understand Japanese. So being American born himself, Antony decided to switch his language to his own native tongue.
"Little boy your digimon is pathetic." he whispered from the darkness, purposely trying to sound as creepy as possible. "By extention that means you're just as pathetic. Don't you know what these creatures are even for?" he asked as he watched the Lopmon suffering from the most recent attack from his Kotemon. "Kotemon, why don't you inform these runts on what you are?" he finished with a question to his own digimon, though it was more of an order than a question.
The Kotemon immediately positioned his kendo stick into a disarmed position, pointed towards the ground as he continued to hold it by the hilt. His entire posture now changed from a battle ready pose to pure obedience before responding in English as well. "SIR! We are Digital Monsters Sir! Pieces of digital code manifested into forms which take pride in fighting one another in one-on-one combat Sir!" he finished, and stayed put afterwards. Though it left him open to an attack, he was not ordered to resume battle, and so he would wait until commanded to do so or in order to defend himself in the event that an attack was aimed at him.
"You see little boy, if you don't properly train your digimon, you're going to lose the battles that come your way." he whispered in Nate's ear as he snuck up on him and held his finger against the boy's back. Though he could have easily brought out his daggers, he was much more interested in just scaring the boy at the moment. So for now, making the boy believe that the finger that was on his back might be a gun would suffice for now. "However the digimon aren't the only ones able to fight." he finished with a twisted smirk on his face. This game would be interesting even if he had to make it so with his own skills.

Clad in the blue-grey jumpsuits that were customary of cleaning staff no matter where you seemed to go, at least as far as Danny was concerned, the man quietly mused to himself as he worked, using the sweeping brush to move dust and trash to the edges of the mall's cavernous hallways where he could go back and easily collect everything later. It didn't seem to matter what part of the world you went to, some things just plain didn't change, and it wasn't just the uniforms that came with certain jobs. By and large, remarkably few people every cleaned up after their own messes once you really stopped to think about it, and while many of the people who did realize that may have complained, Danny viewed it as merely another opportunity. Where there were messes there would be people unwilling to clean those messes up, instead figuring they'd take the easy way out and get someone else to do it for them.... and that was where people like Danny came in. It wasn't just that, either - the same could be said of delivery duties, repairing odds and ends, talking to people who otherwise wouldn't communicate with the client, even hunting down missing people and objects. Danny had learned to do all of it and more from the time he could walk, and while such work didn't tend to pay much on its own, job security was assured. No matter how much the human race would progress there would always be things that people as a while just did not enjoy doing, and things that could not or would not be automated for one reason or another, and it was that kind of view that allowed Danny not to worry when it came to finding a new job once his current one was done.
It'd been in that spirit that Danny had accepted his current duty in cleaning up the Odaiba mall, a job that barely paid anything but would at least offer free shelter for the night - a huge relief, given that what little money he had left would have been drained dry if he kept having to pay for hotel rooms, even the cheap ones. The ideal situation would be if he could find one of the cheaper apartments and simply settle down in one of those for a few weeks until he could earn enough savings to keep moving, but it wasn't like Danny could complain after finding that odd little electronic. It had been completely by accident, too - he'd merely been chasing up some old lead concerning where he suppossedly had stayed during his first trip to Japan on some delivery job several years ago.... or at least that's what he'd been led to understand, but people did not lose years worth of memories without any visible sign of trauma when they were pulling routine jobs. It was an odd little electronic, too, vaguely the shape of one of those older, heavy duty watches that hikers tended to wear and about the same size, and on top of that the thing even told time, just as it's appearance suggested.
Danny had no idea what had drawn him to the thing nor why he even seemed to care about it so much - one of the first things he'd considered doing on a whim was seeing if it would skip across water after fiddling with it for hours and finding only the clock function, and having no real need of it himself. As soon as the idea had entered his head he'd found himself immediately rejecting the thought with a weak feeling of shocked horror, although that just deepened the mystery surrounding the thing. He'd only just found it, so why had he been suddenly so attached to it, as if it was a belonging of great personal significance? Unable to understand or comprehend the unexplainable emotions that came with the thing and not making any further progress after several more hours of fiddling with the thing Danny had simply held onto it, no difficult task given the small size and durability of the object - it didn't even seem like the batteries would ever need to be changed, either.
As Danny's mind continued to wander back on the incident he nearly jumped as the device, kept in the thigh pocket of his jumpsuit, suddenly beeped once loudly.... or at least Danny came as close to jumping or flinching as he ever would. Simply stopping in place and standing straight, Danny looked around for the source of the sound, wondering if someone had left something on somewhere or if he was near a store for timepieces, at least until the electronic loudly beeped once more, drawing the man's attention to his own pocket. Realizing where the sound was coming from, Danny calmly looked down and reached into his pocket to pull the electronic out and hold it in the palm of his hand where he could inspect it, holding the "T" shaped broom in his other hand to prevent it from falling and forcing him to pick it up.
"Strange. Never did that before...." Danny murmured in an absent minded manner as he tried pressing different combinations and sequences of the three blue buttons on the device, the only visible controls he could find on it no matter how often he looked at it. Still, he quickly found his efforts were for naught, just as they had been before. Nothing he did seemed to register on the electronic, and if he didn't know better Danny would've thought the thing had a mind of its own. Where there had once been an old style pixel display of a clock, with bars at the top routinely cycling down as they inexorably measured the passage of the seconds there was now something completely different, with the screen all but black now save for three dots, one a cyan blue at the center, and two others, a neon orange and dull brown at the edge of the display. As Danny lifted the device closer to his face to get a better look he walked over to the nearby wall and spun in place to lean against, suddenly noticing that the devices display rotated along with him, almost like an electronic compass. Definately something new, and just as Danny was about to try and shake the thing to see what that did he noticed the orange dot suddenly approach the brown one, stopping and watching in silence for a moment as they met before he heard faint yelling, drawing his attention away from the electronic as he pocketed it and looked down the hall toawrds the source of the sound. While it sounded far, Danny knew that was more or less due to the sheer size of the halls - chances were it was right around the corner.
This, however, presented Danny with two choices. He could either go back to doing his work in the hopes that he could remain uninvolved, or go see what was happening, a bad idea given that it sounded like a fight, something that the city grown man would have been perfectly happy to avoid. Problem was, though, that if anything did happen to damage any part of the mall, he would be held accountable since he was the only person supposed to be there. That didn't by any means mean he was the only person there, a distinction he was quite well aware of, but the official types who hired people like him also tended to blame people like him when blame had to be laid, and Danny had no intention on being on the receiving end of that. Sighing in resignation and shoving off from the wall, Danny kicked the broom up off of the floor to lay across one of his shoulders as he began walking down the hall to find the source of the sounds, and put a stop to it if necessary. It was probably just some kids pulling a prank or settling a schoolyard dispute where no one could hypothetically end the fight, but the presence of the broom remained a comforting factor.
It didn't take long, either - as Danny had thought, he'd been right in that the fight wasn't all that far off. What he hadn't been expecting were the creatures launching what looked like energy blasts at each other, nor the kid who seemed to be on his own, at least until Danny heard the second voice talking to the kid. Under any normal circumstances most people would have run from the spectacle, but to Danny it presented an unusual feeling of familiarity, exactly the same one he'd gotten from the device now stowed away in his pocket when he'd first found it. Staying in the shadows himself and continuing to watch, Danny finally found the source of the second voice as he began sneaking up on the kid. Moving quitely himself and generating virtually no sense of presence, Danny likewise crept up behind the second kid, ready to intervene if he needed to only to raise an eyebrow as the guy put his knuckles to the kid's back in an obvious attempt to bluff having a gun. The oldest trick in the book, and enough to convince Danny that intervening would probably be the right thing to do. The moment the guy finished speaking Danny silently flipped the broom over and gently stuck the flat bottom of the pole into the blonde's own back, right in between his shoulder blades - a much better imitation of a gun barrel given the size and hardness, and only a pro should be able to tell the difference.
"You know, you're completely right about that last statement. I don't know what you meant by the first thing you said, but if you don't mind would you break it up? I was about halfway done with my work before those things started fighting, and as it is I'm barely going to finish cleaning up this mess before morning. By the way, that trick works better if you have a real gun." Danny said in a calm, relaxed manner, speaking in english as the two humans had been and his expression one of mild boredom, suggestive of the idea that he'd really rather be somewhere else. Standing in a straight but relaxed manner roughly three feet behind the blonde but completely visible to anyone who turned around, Danny kept the broom's brush end tucked underneath his arm while the top of the pole remained pressed against the kid's back. Really, all of this was too much trouble to bother himself over, and had he really been given much choice in the matter Danny would have avoided the whole thing if possible. Still, he was where he felt he needed to be at the moment, and he was admittedly curious about the familiar feeling he got from the creatures that the two kids had with them, as well as the way his electronic had reacted to the fight - all Danny could hope was that they'd listen to reason and follow his request.

Annoying as she was at times, he would never feel right leaving her behind to fight by herself. She was his responsibility... his reasoning was that he couldn’t have her causing a huge mess in this place, which she would likely do if he wasn’t watching... That wasn’t the truth though, he didn’t want to admit it, she was technically his only friend and he just couldn’t bring himself to leave her behind.
The whispers from the shadows hardly helped, his ear twitched slightly at the insults thrown at himself and Lopmon. No, he didn’t know what ‘these creatures’ were for, nor did he care. The goal that he had in mind for his future didn’t involve delving further into what these creatures were, the boy merely wanted to locate his mother. What these creatures were, where they came from, none if it concerned him.
Although, he did happen to be listening as the creature behind the mask spoke up. The answer hardly seemed the case though, because for all the time he’d been with Lopmon, not once had she mentioned wanting to fight others like herself. ”You’re lying,” Nate stated plainly, staring straight at Kotemon. There wasn’t a question about it in his mind, Lopmon wasn’t like that, so it had to be a fabrication.
Suddenly, his heart seemed to skip a beat. Then, it began to pound furiously in his chest. Nate’s breathing became shallow, terrified, and certain this person had a gun to his back. ”Me f—fight?” that was a disturbing thought, and one that made him more uneasy than he would have liked to admit.
At the next voice, a new voice, emerging from behind the both of them, Nathaniel nearly jumped out of his skin. But it was from the older person's comment that he learned the gun was a fake. Hesitating to take action, he turned his head slightly, attempting to see the one who had threatened him, but the boy ended up quickly changing his mind. Turning his eyes away from the blonde, he looked back to Lopmon and then stumbled forward away from the two people behind him. He twisted around to face Antony as he fell to the floor, having lost his balance entirely in his panic.
