Sighing as she flopped down upon the seat of the subway train, Misaka closed her eyes as she breathed out once more before settling within her seat. It had been a long day, especially since today her class had decided to venture to one of the many facilities within the city. Not only did she have to pay attention to the lecture, but also the small dragon that happened to be trying to sneak his own peeks at what was happening around him. Thankful, as a girl, she could pull off having him look like a cute doll. In fact, many complimented her on his realistic features. While having dodged a bullet, the teen began to consider the idea of having the monster simply remain at home from now on.
"You realize that you almost got us into trouble today right?"
Looking down at the creature as it appeared that they were the only ones in that area at the time, the blue dragon popped his head out her bag and grinned as he stared up towards her.
" I just wanted to see where milk comes from. Everyone else seemed so interested in it...."
"That's not the point. You're supposed to stay out of sight. If someone had managed to touch you, we'd be in big trouble..."
Lowering it's head, the expression on the digimon changed as he could see how serious his partner was.
"Im sorry....."
Looking towards him with a calm expression, the young girl smiled as she rubbed his head gently. There wasn't any way she could stay mad at him. He was only being curious, much like she would if she was in a place different from her own. Just like how she acted whenever she was in the Digital World. So in a way, it was fair for him to try and sneak a few looks at what was around him. Misaka only wished it was more discrete.
"Just... be more careful....Ok? I don't want to lose you..."

Sora glanced at the station's clock as he awaited quietly for the subway train. He held his backpack tightly against his chest. A clear, green insect teddy was inside, along with his school books and other school accessories. The teddy pushed against the opening, letting its eyes peek out at the tracks. It was fortunate for Sora that no one seemed to be around, though it wasn't unusual. The rush hours of workers going home had passed. There were only students now and most lived close enough to their homes than need to take the subway.
"Is it here yet?"
Sora glanced down, the insect asked as it popped its head out from his backpack, staring at Sora with a curious expression. Sora sighed, scratching the back of his hair out of habit.
"Soon..."
His reply was short, as expected. Sora hadn't quite bonded with his digimon yet, it was still a surprise in how he was chosen. He never had never expected to have a destiny for anything. After all, for the past few years, all he had been doing was constant work, trying to achieve higher grades to please his parents. Sora led a rather dull life, he was quite the average teen, struggling to get good results even with the work he puts into it. His eyes glanced toward the clock, the train was coming soon.
A quiet moment passed. The sound of the tracks and the subway train could be heard in the pitch black tunnel, it was coming. The train came out of the tunnel, its acceleration breaking apart the air, making a light wind that softly pushed against Sora. The insect slid completely back into the backpack as the train came to a stop.
The door slid open, revealing the rather empty compartment inside. There was only one person inside. Misaka. Sora recognized her as he took a step in. The main reason was because of her uniform, her features never particularly stood out to Sora. He never examined her closely, they were in the same year, but that was all there is to it. Her uniform matched his, of course. He took a step in.
Being polite, he waved at Misaka and gave her a rather awkward smile.
"Don't jump out suddenly now..."
He whispered silently at his backpack. Minomon gave a light shake, he assumed he understood what Sora meant. He took a seat by the door, settling himself and placing his backpack on the seat beside him.

Misaka loved taking the train home. While she also liked walking through the city, sitting down and watching the world underneath was even more enjoyable. Not only that, but relaxing. It was almost enough to make her go to sleep, though she knew better than that. Peaceful as things were, it took only one action of ignorance to get into trouble, and that was last thing she wanted that afternoon. In fact, she'd be happy to have a pleasant ride to her side of Odaiba.
Though just as she began looking out the window behind her, the teen felt the train make a slow stop, prompting her to look down towards her bag. As though giving her small friend a signal, the dragon tucked himself within her bookbag, disappearing out of sight as the side door of the vessel opened to reveal it's next passengers. But Misaka was shocked to see that it was a familiar face, rather than a stranger.
Kiyomiza Sora. A student within her class. While she hadn't talked to him much due much to him being very silent, she had noticed him a few times. Though she couldn't say she was close to him, she did think that they at least had some kind of respect for one another as classmates. Yet what made her curious was if he actually lived not too far from her? It would make him using the train much more understanding, though she couldn't think of the last time she'd seen him outside of class?
Smiling as he waved towards her, Misaka did the same before resting her hands back on her lap and looking towards the window at her back once more. It was then that the train began it's movement once more, cutting the silence with the sound it's wheels along the track beneath it.
Seeing the small lights along the walls of the tunnel as they passed, the girl looked back over towards Sora and blinked for a moment as she wasn't sure what to say at this point? She could either acknowledge him or let him be? Though it wouldn't be fair to say nothing after he had been polite enough to say hi. That being the case, the girl smiled as she spoke.
"Interesting lecture today. Though I didn't think going to a dairy factory would really be that informational. But I think I'm gonna stay away from milk for a while....."

The train was always a bore to Sora. He didn't have many friends, especially not those that lived in his area of Odaiba. It couldn't be helped, being timid and keeping himself to himself most - if not all - the time, resulted in a limited number of friends. From an outsider's point of view, it might seem sad and his social life was never going to develop, but for Sora, the time he would spend on going out with his friends will be used to focus on his studies instead. In a way, Sora seemed like a nerd that did nothing but study. It was partly true, but chances are, nerds are smart enough even without studies, it simply raised their intelligence if they had. For Sora, it took plenty of time of revision to keep up with one chapter.
The doors slid to a close as the subway train began to move. Misaka was sitting directly across from himself, her hands on her lap. It was awkward, to say the least. He had never been close with Misaka and never even tried talk to her beside the occasionally times in class. He never knew Misaka took the train home, it was the first time he had encountered her. What surprised him next is that Misaka began to talk - to him. Maybe it was just being polite, but it was safe to assume that Misaka knew he was the quiet type.
"Yeah... It looked a lot more complicated than it is from the textbook, isn't it..."
Sora attempted a smile back as he responded, but it wasn't like him. It ended up with a weird smile on an awkward expression that could clearly be seen on from his face. He shifted uncomfortably in his seat, his left hand held on tightly to the strap of his backpack, he was nervous.
Just then, his backpack's top opened a tiny bit. Sora, didn't notice it though, given the rather awkward situation he was in. Minomon's dark eyes could be seen vaguely from the opening, looking forward at Misaka, an expression of curiosity. He could somewhat recognize her. He had a few glances at some of Sora's classmates, she was one of them.
"The trip to the factory wasn't too bad... At least we didn't have to stay in the class, right...?"
Sora laughed awkwardly, rubbing the back of his head as he looked down on the floor.

The girl laughed lightly, nodding in agreement towards the idea of the trip being better than sitting through the class. Like most students, there was only so much of droning lectures she could take, especially when it came to matters of social economics. In fact, it was one of the subjects that she had to work extra hard to stay awake and maintain good grades within. Though she understood the reasons behind them needing to know of the world around them, she still didn't enjoy as much as she did English. But then again, life wasn't all about enjoying everything.
"You're telling me....I struggle to stay awake as it is..."
Keeping her kind-hearted smile, Misaka removed her hand from close to her face as she began to contain her laughter once more. Though it was at this time that she thought she'd seen something staring towards her from the boy's bag. It had been only for a moment, but the sight was enough to cause her expression to shift to that of surprise.
Did I just....No...It couldn't be...
Realizing that she was staring, the young girl looked away back towards her window, face somewhat red as she focused her gaze on the world that passed by.
"But I guess when you think about it....The world is so complex. How could they put everything about it in books?"
It was true. Nothing was ever so simple. After all, there was a whole other world behind her computer screen. A world that she doubted had ever been documented or ever could for that matter. How could you write everything in such a vast and mysterious place? One that was always changing?
Demi-Veemon listened intently from within the girl's bag, but even his attention couldn't be set on just one item of conversation. Looking over from a small crack with the bag, he noticed the same thing that Misaka had moments before. Eyes that seemed to stare towards his partner. But, could it really be another Digimon or some kind of other creature? It was hard for him to contain himself, but he bit his bottom lip as he slowly rocked from one side to another, moving the bag somewhat without even knowing it.

"I struggle in every class to get an average grade... Unlike my brother..."
Sora muttered in reply. Sora frowned, he could see Misaka's bag rocking from one side. Was there something inside? Just like his own? No. It would be too unlikely. But the possibility could still be there. He shifted on his seat, replacing his frown with a more casual expression. It was somewhat easier to talk to Misaka now, like his timid side was slowly disappearing. He was sure this was only temporary. It always was.
The bag's movement isn't stopping, maybe something is in there, after all... Maybe a pet...?
"You're right. Our world is really complex and full of changes each second... And maybe there's another world out there. A different world, a different species...
He meant the Digital World of course. He had never seen it himself, but he had learned of it from his partner. He had always wanted to visit it. But he knew the dangers, not every digimon is friendly like his own. Still, he couldn't help but wonder what kind of world it is. What it looked like. Maybe he could even stay there and finally be free. Free from work he has to do, free from the worry of catching up to his siblings. But life was never so easy.
"Emm... What's that in your bag..."
Sora picked up the little bravery he had and asked his question. He was curious. He wanted to know. The chances are, it would just be a pet of some sort. A digimon? Doubtful. But if it were the case.... Maybe he needn't be so cautious around Misaka. And if it really were a digimon, then maybe he could share his secret too. He never doubted the fact there were others close to him that had a partner, like himself. But in his class and school? That would be unlikely, if at all possible.

Tilting to her head as she heard him mention how he struggled in all his classes, Misaka was reminded somewhat of her own struggles. While she had managed to somehow balance herself enough to keep herself as one of the top students in her group, she wasn't a genius. It took her studying almost everyday and usually on the way home as well as before bed. Unlike her own siblings, she wasn't a natural when it came to academics. Though from what it sounded like, Sora seemed to be in the same place she was.
Though before she could say anything, he questioned something within her bag, causing her to freeze as she looked over to see it moving back and forth. Swiftly, the girl grabbed it and laughed lightly as she shook her head.
"Nothing! Nothing at all..Haha......"
A bead of sweat slide down her face as Misaka continued to laugh somewhat nervously before releasing the bag only to gasp as it fell off the seat and onto the ground. From there, a small blue creature tumbled out from within it, holding it's head with both hands while it sat with a pain-stricken expression on her face.
Misaka just sat there in terror. How could this have happened? She was in so much trouble. Demi-Veemon had just been exposed, and before someone no less. There was no way out of this....It was all over.
"Um......Um....."
She could feel her face get even more red as she looked towards Sora and waited for him to say something.

Sora's eyes widened, he was quite shocked that there's another digimon in his area, even more so since Misaka is in Sora's year and class. His eyes examined the small blue and white digimon. He wasn't sure what sort of digimon it was, it was the first he has seen with his own eyes apart from his own.
"Wow... I'm not the only one..."
He muttered. His gaze shifted from Misaka's partner back to his own bag, he was positive Minomon would come out now. Despite its personality, it would still be interested in another digimon in the human world. Sora opened his bag and Minomon jumped out, staring at the blue creature that seemed to be in pain, after all, it had just hit its head off the ground.
"Umm... It's okay... You're not the only one with a secret like this..."
With the appearance of another digimon, Sora's thoughts wandered. If he wasn't the only one in Odaiba with a partner, then who would be the others? Would they, like Sora and Misaka, be in the same school too? In the beginning, he was doubtful of the possibilities. But now, the chances weren't so slim. It was time to pick up some bravery and open himself up.
"Are there others...? Like us, I mean... With partners..."

Considering how this was the second closest call she'd had, Misaka found herself leaning back against her seat with a stunned look on her face. He was another Digi-destined, just like she was. But how exactly had this happened? While she was used to the idea of others, she hadn't thought that Sora would be one of them. Of course, perhaps the same could be said for her as well. She didn't exactly look like someone who'd be carrying a small dragon in her book bag.
"Heh...I guess I should be relieved...."
Smiling sheepishly towards the young man, the teen then turned her gaze back towards Demi-Veemon, giggling as the small creature rose up to his feet and stared towards the insect digimon with interest. Tilting his head to the side, the digimon then cheered as he began running around Minomon with a grin.
"Yay! New friend! New friend!!"
As Misaka attempted to calm the Demi-Veemon down with a soft shushing noise, she returned her attention towards Sora as he asked if there were others like them? To which she nodded with a kind smile on her face.
"Yup...Alot of them are at our school. We even just had a meeting of sorts..."
Placing her hands on her lap, Misaka began to relax again. A long time ago, she'd probably still be on edge. But now, things seemed to have somewhat settled to where she could accept when she had been figured out, especially when ones that did were similar to her.

"Mhmm... Maybe we're both just a bit lucky..."
He nodded as he spoke. His eyes left Misaka, turning to Minomon. He was being his shy self, as usual. Hiding himself in its shell, only his eyes, part of his mouth and his ivy on top of his head was visible. It was only normal they were partners. Both Sora and Minomon liked being alone, just because it was awkward and they weren't used to being with others.
Minomon shrunk into his shell completely with Demi-Veemon's reaction to another digimon. He found it amazing how hyper it could be.
"Sorry... My partner is a bit shy..."
He muttered. In response to Misaka telling him about how there were many more digidestined in their school, he was even more surprised and he didn't even try to hide his shocked expression. So there were many more. It was unexpected to say the least. Odaiba isn't even a spec in the world. Just how many more people out there were like himself and Misaka? Millions, perhaps, maybe even more.
"A meeting? I don't get it..."
It wasn't the meeting that confused him. It could be expected that the people with partners would try to be closer with each other. After all, not many people would believe digimon really existed. Being friends with other digidestined made life easier. They wouldn't have to hide their digimon from each other. Maybe the meeting, or the group of digidestined had other objectives? Doubtful. But not impossible. A question suddenly sparked in Sora's thoughts.
"Have you ever been to the digital world? I've only heard stories... And even then, I don't know much about it. Minomon came to our world soon after he hatched..."

Misaka continued to smile before looking down towards Demi-Veemon, who had begun to lightly tap the Minomon's shell as a means to get him to come out. Though as he attempted this, the young teen returned her attention once more to Sora, blinking as she heard him state that he didn't understand why they would have a meeting. Personally, she had thought it was a good idea. Mostly since it allowed everyone to know who was holding a Digimon with them. Yet, Kazai had turned it into more of a setting up what their main objectives were, which was finding out more about AIR.
"Well...I guess it was more like a way to get organized. My little sister came up with the idea. Her and her boyfriend. Though it allowed a lot of us to get to know each other and to see what everyone knew about the Digital world and why these Digi-vices were getting transported to our world..."
It was still a mystery to her. Misaka hadn't found too many connections between them and the first Digi-destined, other than the Digi-vices. But what caused them to be sent out now? Why not years ago?
Looking out the window once more, Misaka found herself looking quite shocked when she heard that Sora had yet to venture into the Digital World. It was enough to cause a small giggle to emerge from her, though she quickly stopped herself before grinning at the teen.
" It's really something you have to see to actually describe. I know I have a hard time doing it. An area outside of our own, and yet so close...."
Standing up, the girl walked up beside the boy before sitting down next to him and reaching into her bag.
"I guess showing you is the best way to do it huh? Though it might not work here. I haven't actually tried going there from a Train Station...."
Pulling out her laptop, the girl looking around quickly to make sure no one was in the cart with them as she opened the computer and turned it on.
"I know that the only way to get there is through a computer. They have to be...connected for it to work though. That's what my friend Tyren told me...."

Sora had thought correctly then, the meetings were a way for others with digimon to meet up. No doubt it would be a great idea, at the very least they wouldn't have to keep the secret bottled up and get through each and everyday without being caught with their partners. Sora had many of his questions answered. Whether it was fortunate or unfortunate, he wasn't sure. The answers he found just led to more questions that seemed even more complicated than before.
"We go through a computer to get into the digital world?"
Sora wasn't sure whether he should be taken back by such an bizarre way to go to the digital world. It seemed completely impossible and out of the world, but at the same time it made sense. Digital world, Sora could at least anticipate that it was made of data of the sort. But the means of going into the world itself led Sora's thoughts to go astray.
"I doubt we'd find a connection in here... If you mean an internet connection... Especially not on the train... Maybe at the next station?"
Minomon was still stuck in his shell, fearful of the repeated tapping that Demi-veemon was causing outside of his shell. It poked his head out, revealing his eyes, though most of his body was still in his shell.
"Hi..."
He muttered in a light voice that came from his hidden mouth. Most likely, only Demi-veemon could hear it as the loud movements of the train would cover most of the volume of sound from Minomon.
Sora focused on the laptop that Misaka had taken out. This was it. It was likely to be now - or soon, that he would enter the digital world himself and see it with his own eyes. He was aware of the possible dangers, but with Misaka, he doubt it could be too bad. She had experience. Exactly how much she had Sora wasn't sure, nor did it matter. Not at the moment, at the very least.

Looking over towards Sora, Misaka raised an eyebrow before returning her gaze back towards the screen, cupping her hand over her chin. She hadn't considered there being a connection through the net. From everything she'd seen, the link between the two works had been through the computer. But then again, her house had internet access. So would it be required here?
"Hmm...I never thought that the net was involved. If that is the case, then maybe we do need to wait till the next.."
Within moments, a strange text box appeared on the screen of the laptop. While one side had a small square shaped image that seemed to spin into itself with a flow of data, the other just held a red button image, almost like a scanner. The sight was enough to cause the young girl to smile as she nodded.
"There we go...Looks like it does work....."
As Misaka seemed to be admiring the screen, Demi-Veemon was waving towards the eyes of the Minomon while peeking into the shell.
"Heya! Theres no reason to hide. I won't bite..."
While trying to peek in further, the small dragon soon found himself unable to pull himself out, feet dangling on the other end as he struggled to get his head free.
