It had certainly been quite the eventful week. Early in the week, Kazai had gone to the Digital World with Hiro for the very first time. Then, that Friday, she had met and organized a meeting with the other Digidestineds of her Junior High School and the corresponding High School. Saturday, just yesterday, she had spent a while on a date with Hiro, and now, finally, it was Sunday night. They were wrapping up the previous week and beginning a new one with a delightful Sunday dinner.
Kazai sat down on the dining table chair. They had gone through the trouble of using the good china for this meal. The food was already done and on the table, Kazai's mother had gone through the trouble of making the food for them before heading out to go for some important teacher's conference or something like that.
Today wasn't any ordinary dinner at that. Sitting next to Kazai, there was a guest at the table, her new boyfriend, Hiro, whom she had invited to introduce to her family, as well as flaunt to Misaka. So far it was silent, though they still had yet to begin their meal. Kazai's father would be joining the three only momentarily. Kazai was actually somewhat excited for him to meet Hiro. She wondered what he'd think.

"Don't worry...I'm sure Dad will be here soon...."
That was at least what she had hoped would be the case. Misaka knew that their father was a very busy man. Many times he wouldn't arrive home in till very late in the evening or sometimes early in the morning. He was missed often, but they all knew how important his work was. Course, that didn't stop her from somewhat resenting it. It had been this way since she had been born.
But today was different. He had stated that he would be here to see Kazai's boyfriend and that seemed almost like a firm promise. Though their mother wouldn't be joining them, she seemed to have entrusted Misaka with the task of judging the situation and trying to keep things orderly. In other words, she was to prevent father from scaring the boy off, like he had done to many of her own guests. Ever since Misaka had turned twelve she remembered having very few boys over like this. This had been thanks to her father threatening them in either a direct or subtle way. It had gotten so bad that many of her dates had to be done either through secret or with her mother's permission.
This being through their mother, the young teen could only hope that he would behave himself. Though for the time being, Misaka figured she'd do her best to buy some time for her old man.
"Plus with the food upstairs, those two should be settled in...at least I hope.."
Considering what would happen if either of the two digimon living in their house managed to get spotted, Misaka helped in making sure things were somewhat taken care of. After all, the last thing anyone wanted was a possible freak out from the elder man.
"So Hiro.....What are you interests exactly?"
Letting her both of her hands overlap one another, the young female smiled politely as she waited for his answer.

Hiro wasn't exactly sure how he got here, how Kazai had talked him into this or even how he could sit down at this table. Hiro's eyes were wandering, as they often did, his spot next to Kazai really the only thing he was sure of in the space. Breathing out of his nostrils slowly, not saying much, as was his usual agenda. He didn't know what to expect. What he knew, he knew very little of. He knew her family was well-to-do. He knew they were a bit snobby and lived in an upper class area. Grinding his teeth together a bit as he examined the details of their house. The small details often missed, picked up by his gaze. The slight amounts of dust building up in corners, on the frames of doors. Nothing got past him.
Gaze turning toward Kazai's sister, he had met her before but only in brief. Never addressing her personally. His hands were on his own lap, index finger slowly tapping his thigh as she spoke to him. "My... interests? A difficult question..." Looking up slowly, lifting his hand to tap his index finger on his chin. Sucking on his teeth in his mouth a bit, eyes wandering back to her. "Everything. People, animals, flora, fauna, psychology, philosophy, music, the written word. All that which encompasses the term of everything. I wish to observe it." Only half satisfied with his answer, he could have went on and on.
A dull look on his face, though Hiro was quite attractive on many levels his disposition often scared the girls away. That is, except Kazai. Slowly under the table he placed his hand on hers. Not looking at her so much but slowly stroking the length of her fingers as he did so. All of this in an effort to give her and himself some reassurance. Nervous wasn't the right word to describe his feelings right now. Hiro never got nervous, more excited for observation than anything that could be called nervous. A bit of worry perhaps? Yet still that word didn't define it. If anything he was worried about how Kazai would react to him in front of her family. That was the most troubling prospect of all. [/size]

Aizen indeed, was late home. Again. He was always late... Supposed to return at 7 pm, but rarely he returned earlier than 9 pm. Work, work, work... More work... He rarely was home... Even more so lately than before. But ... he did his duty. He brought home money. A lot of it. Their home, a beautiful estate, all the fancy things inside... Luxurious furniture. All because of his efforts. He wanted them to live like royalty... even if his time with them was limited.
Today was a nasty day at work anyway. A lot of quarreling with underlings, more tests on subjects, which ... was quite a nerve-wrecking task. They were hurt, and they screamed, and squirmed. It was not quite as easy to conduct experiments that way - he had a heart too, after all. His thoughts were about this all this time he was walking home, a dark shadow of himself on the evening streets. There it was... His house... His door. Keys... Clank of the lock...
- I'm home... - a grunt came out as he entered the corridor, hand wiping his face... He was tired... Very tired too... And then... Oh! Kazai's friend arrived today for family dinner too! He ... he kinda forgot. Too bad. He wanted some rest. Oh well, he was in his suit, in which he went to work, it looked fancy enough even for such an ... "official assembly". Walking into the room, his gaze fell on the table with food... Then at the people. Alas, his wife wasn't here either. Shame.
There were his kids. Kazai, Misaka too... Were they happy to see him? Sometimes he wondered. With Aizen being home so little, he was curious if they saw him as more than just a moneybringer... Bah, those were dpressing thoughts! He was just in a sour mood today. People can be frustrating. His gaze shifted to the outsider soon enough though, eyes not being as penetrating as before, but more ... studying. He would observe this one. Like he observed others... And would make a conclusion, hopefully soon.
- Sorry for not coming in time, kids... - he sighed out. - Work again... Vey hard operation...

"Hiro-kun is also a very good cook," Kazai interjected at the end of Hiro's statements. It was most certainly the truth, after all, and Kazai had come to enjoy his cooking most of all. Perhaps that was one of the reasons that she enjoyed going over to his place so much among other reasons.
It wasn't long before she felt Hiro's hand reach for her's under the table. It seemed for the most part that he was attempting to keep it hidden from Misaka or something, at least to Kazai. It made her wonder if he was feeling a bit nervous around her family. She couldn't help other than to think that. After all, he didn't really seem to have much of a family of his own. No matter, she held his hand tightly. There was no harm in that.
"Oh! Hey Dad!" Kazai said somewhat energetically as she heard her father come into the house. He soon came into the dining room, and he was most definitely hungry. He had to be after a long day of work! At least that was what Kazai assumed. She wore a large grin. She was pretty happy right now, it could easily be felt through her aura, disposition, and brimming smile. She rose her free hand above the table and gestured it to Hiro.
"This is my boyfriend, Hiro-kun. He's in my class at school."

It was hard for Misaka to contain her own laughter at her own sibling. Anyone could clearly see she was pretty happy right now, which was nice to see. For much of the time, the older teen could only remember seeing the young girl with a mostly serious or content expression. One that was constantly imprinted and hard to shift once it was set in. So seeing her so pleased with herself was a wonderful change of pace.
"Welcome home dad"
Smiling towards the older male as he entered the room, Misaka shifted her attention back towards Kazai she introduced her guest, giggling lightly as she waited to see the reaction on their father's face.
