COR / CORONAMON
This city is afraid of me. I have seen its true face. The streets are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown. The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout "Save us!"
and I'll whisper "no."

APPEARANCE.
Digimon.
Coronamon is a slightly lighter shade than other digimon of his same species. He certainly isn't a striking white, but his flame-colored fur gives off more of a glow than the usual vivid red-orange. Some might say this reflects his "hot-headed" demeanor.
He has a slim, sturdy build to his small body and a powerful stance that contradicts his size (which mainly has to do with the way he carries himself). He is always seen walking with his nose in the air, as if he can look down on digimon that are larger than himself (which is quite a few, considering he's a leetle rookie-level Coronamon).
His tail flame tends to grow hotter and when he's furious and will send off sparks that may or may not light anything flammable that is in close proximity of himself. His eyes are an ironic shade of blue that seems as soothing and cavernous as the sea.
Human.
Cor's slim build carries over to his human form nicely when he is in his disguise, however his height increases dramatically, as well as the lankiness of his body. His eye color remains a deep shade of blue that still carries the wild, untamed nature of a feral digimon, and his hair is a dull shade of maroon with a lighter blonde that 'lightboxes' the look.
Cor's skin is always warm to the touch because of the fire properties of his digimon form, and because of this he is seen most comfortable when the weather of the human world is warm.[/sup]
PERSONALITY.
Call him fluffy, and he'll break your nose.
The first thing one might notice when meeting Cor is that he is cranky, irritable, pugnacious, and overall easy to piss off. The easiest way to trigger his less social side is to comment on one of the things that makes him any less of the powerful fire beast he deems himself to be. This behavior might make him brash, but his attitude fills in where his size and strength is lacking.
If Cor ever grows strong enough to rise up to champion level, his bitter and short temper might take on a more prideful and vain edge, but for now he has to deal with matters of size.
One might assume that Cor's edginess makes him antisocial, but it's actually quite the opposite. Cor will deny that he needs other people, but in the end he always wanders back to find the digimon he was last standing beside. He has a soft side toward wild digimon who don't seem to be a threat, but even then he has a hard time showing any affection.
Cor has a more submissive tolerance toward his employers and other shepards that are obviously at a higher level than he. He might be impulsive and rude, but he knows better than to push someone who could very easily turn him into a smear of fur on the wall. He also is aware that he needs the trust and respect of his superiors if he is ever going to fulfill his ambitions.
Failure is particularly crushing to Coronamon, and he is never able to bounce right back after receiving a blow to his pride (even if he pretends it doesn't affect him at the time).
Part of the reason why Cor is fit for a shepard is because he harbors a deep-rooted hatred of humans. He sees humans as destructive pests and wants nothing to do with them. When matters of business are brought into the 'real' world, Cor will keep a close eye on any human he passes and will be initially rude to any human he should make contact with. He doesn't differentiate between adult and child, and doesn't show any sort of compassion toward humans.
The only thing Cor despises more than humans are the digimon who attach themselves to them. He sees partner digimon as nothing more than mindless pets who would rather throw away their freedom then keep their dignity and integrity.
Despite his small knowledge of human behavior, Cor still has a few habits he hasn't learned how to drop from his digimon form when he's walking around in the real world (such as hissing, clacking his teeth together, snarling, biting, and even purring).
Cor's attitude toward the human world is put to the test, however, by human food. There is nothing in the digital world like it and Cor can be seen constantly either eating or complaining about being hungry while he is there. Spaghetti, fish, steak, noodles, fried chicken - who wouldn't be struck by a world with such fine cuisine?

HISTORY.
Sunmon was hatched like any other digimon: wild, free, and knowing that somewhere in another world was his life partner. The focus of his existence from the start was to find this person - this human child - and brighten her world with his light. The digidestined chosen for him by fate was a fiery young girl with a mane of orange hair that hung in curled ringlets around her shoulders. The instant the two met, it was love at first sight. There wasn't a passing moment in either world where one was without the other: climbing trees in the digital world, skipping down the streets in the human world, and every night Sunmon would have to dim his flame to make sure he wouldn't scorch the girl when he slept in her arms.
The girl, named Sofia, had a habit of watching cartoons and movies with Sunmon when her parent's weren't home. These cartoons consisted mainly of superheros (superman, spiderman, batman, etc.) and Sunmon was more than delighted at the idea of noble defenders protecting the innocent. He and Sofia would roam the streets searching for deeds that could be done, but nothing much was ever found than a missing wallet and a lost hamster.
Sunmon's appetite intensified - like that of most young digimon - and he could feel himself growing closer to digivolving with every large meal that he sucked down. Sofia's parents became baffled when their 9-year-old daughter would vanish upstairs with a large plate of food and return to the kitchen with it polished clean. The day it all went wrong was the day that Sunmon finally consumed enough to digivolve into Coronamon. It was in the middle of Sofia's bedroom floor when the transformation took place, and Coronamon wasn't used to having to control a larger and more powerful fire. He brushed his tail along her carpet, lighting it up far too quickly, and by the end of the night the entire house had burned to the ground. The firemen managed to get the entire family out safely (while Coronamon had fled to hide so he wouldn't be found by the gathering crowd of neighbors), but Sofia was badly burned in the fire.
Coronamon managed to sneak into the hospital to find Sofia, and in the middle of the night she took him back into the digital world through one of the monitors in the nurse's quarters. She told him to wait for her to come back before she warped back over, but as the days and months passed,
finally a year or two,
Coronamon realized that she wasn't coming back for him.
He'd been left abandoned, like a mutt by his indifferent owner.
The months that followed were predetermined by Coronamon's devastating realization. He'd gone from being with his human partner 24-7 to being entirely isolated in the digital world. He decided then that the entire human-partner/digimon-partner system was just a sick joke. Humans didn't care - anything was disposable for them - and he hated them. He hated the humans for their ignorance and their digimon partners for being stupid enough to enjoy the part of the little digipet.
Coronamon's bitterness was quickly directed toward the A.I.R operations when he discovered that there was shady stuff going on in the digital world. At first his interferences with A.I.R were just harmless antics to try and slow down whatever it was they were trying to accomplish, but when he discovered that they were capturing wild digimon, those long days of watching superhero cartoons came rushing back. Thinking he was the sole defender of the digital world, Coronamon began to try and thwart the capture of wild digimon. Coronamon quickly became a nuisance, and it wasn't until he was caught in a snare and nearly captured himself that he backed down.
Not long after his attacks on A.I.R operations quieted, Coronamon was approached by the Harvesters and offered a new purpose. At first Coronamon was hesitant, after all, digimon that are power-hungry and sucking the life force from human children to gain domination over the digital world seemed all too close a goal to those supervillains in Sofia's cartoons. The self-apointed defender of the digital world realized that by joining the Harvesters as a shepard, he would maybe be given and inside scoop as to what they were planning. Coronamon could give a flying fuck about the children they were implanting dark spores in, but he knew that he couldn't sit by and watch the digital world fall under a dictorial rule.
Upon joining and being granted a human form, Coronamon quickly became wrapped up in the tasks of a shepard (which, from the start, seemed to be enjoying the human world and it's wonders as well as implanting dark spores). His primary goal is still kept in mind, but for now he is holding himself back and doing his best to work loyally for the Harvesters. His tasks involving the corruption of children might even be considered a sort of revenge against the child who abandoned him. The human food is a clear motivation that keeps him in line as well. He'd have a hard time giving that up.
His human name, Cor, is just a shorted version of Coronamon. He refused to take on a 'normal' human name, out of spite and not wanting to be associated with humans any more than he has to be.
For a digimon with such a vendetta against humans, he certainly seems to enjoy being one.

ATTACKS.
• Corona Flame - takes a deep inhale of breath and lets it out in a burst of flame. (can project up to 15 feet before it goes out)[/sub][/sup]
• Coro Knuckle - Knuckles light on fire and are red-hot to the touch should he punch anyone.
Side Note: Coronamon's attack power depends vaguely on the environment he is in. Hot and dry places fuel his fire; cold and wet places dampen it.
He's been a Coronamon for a considerable amount of time, and any other digimon should have digivolved from rookie to champion by now. It's unclear whether he simply isn't strong enough, is holding himself back, or that he might be afraid to digivolve.[/sub][/sup]
