APPEARANCE.
An ordinary looking elementary student is all that one’s sees when they look at Shu as he only stands around four feet and two inches tall. His hair is black and kept short enough so that it doesn’t impair his vision in any way, but it is still long enough to cover the majority of his forehead. This particular boy’s eyes are black, but most people wouldn’t notice that at a quick glance as he always seems to be falling asleep.
Shu’s clothing style is pretty basic as he tends to wear the same type of clothing each day without fail. His outfit is usually a purple t-shirt, brown shorts, black sneaker and a black hoodie. The only real alteration that he makes to his look is adding in a baseball cap and sunglasses on days that prove to be too sunny for him. He also might be wearing a cheap watch on his left wrist, but that are only on days that he has a schedule to keep.
PERSONALITY.
Like most children his age, Shuichi is full of energy and always looking for something to do with that energy, and with this energy comes the need to be very loud. His favorite things to do are play sports like soccer, baseball and track, which had nothing to do with his father’s previous athletic exploits. He likes to think of himself as an individual and not the son of a prodigy or even a small part of some team, which is why he chooses not to participate as a part of school team. He is what one would call those lone wolf types that like to do things on his own because others would just get in his way, but Shu is really trying to prove to himself that he is capable of doing things on his own regardless of how young he is.
This kid is one of the most honest people that you will ever meet, which is probably not a good things. Shu tends to be too honest for most people because he will tell you exactly what pops into his head exactly when it becomes an idea. He is sort of like his mother in the fact that his words are usually blunt and ruled by how he feels which changes constantly. This mainly means that he can go from being slightly happy to being annoyed to being concerned to slightly happy in the course of a minute. Shu is slowly learning how to put a filter on what he says to people and controlling his emotions, but he is still a kid so it isn’t easy.
Shu is definitely still a child who is still learning everything he needs to know in order to be able to make the best decisions possible, but he is still smarter than most kids his age. This higher level of intelligence is tied back into his need to be able to do things that someone his age wouldn’t normally be able to do, so he likes to jump ahead with his schoolwork. He gets this weird feeling of pleasure knowing that he is ahead of everyone in his class, and Shu is sometimes afraid to think about what that means about him on a deeper level. His main concern is that he is turning into a bad person by simply wanting to be better than everyone else his own age, which he hasn’t told either of his parents yet because he doesn’t want them to be as worried as he is.
HISTORY.
hometown; Tamachi, Japan
family members;Father: Ichijouji Ken
Mother: Ichijouji Miyako
Siblings: Ichijouji Yuu, Ichijouji Kotone
Shuichi is the last of the offspring of Ken and Miyako Ichijouji, which meant that he got quite a bit of his parents attention. Of course, this attention was warranted because as soon as they put him down Shu was on the move. First it was crawling, which was easier for the family, mainly his mother, to deal with, but easy didn’t last long since he was soon walking around. Walking meant that his hands were free to do other things like throwing small toys or trying to mimic something that he saw on television like a baseball player taking a swing at something that Shu couldn’t see. Of course, Shu also supplied his own sound effects, which at least let people know that he was up to something.
As he grew older, Shu’s fascination with sports did as well as he moved on to including soccer and track into things that he enjoyed as it gave him an excuse to run around the house. If this wasn’t bad enough, Shuichi began trying to do everything himself which included getting down whatever dishes he was going to use for that meal. This eventually led to his mother starting to leave his dishes in lower cabinets so that nothing would get broken during a meal. Although her eyes were constantly watching him, Shu was given some independence inside of the house.
Of course, his mother stopped short of putting him on a leash once he was out the door as he was always trying to run off and play in the older kids’ soccer game. Once he was in school, things got easier for everyone as Shu used up most of his energy during the day by running around on the playground, but he was still a little hyper at home. While his amount of energy may have decreased, his time spent talking increased as Shu began to say everything that popped into his head including things that most people try to avoid saying as it was rude. His father said that he gets it from his mother, which sounds about right to him.
As the years passed, Shu’s need to do things on his own stretched from being able to make his own plate to teaching himself the topics in his classes. He soon found that he was always ahead of the class by one lesson, which made him feel good that he was smarter than them but it also frightens them that he gets a kick out of it. In order to take his mind off of the idea that he might be starting down a dark road, Shuichi has begun to work on the whole filter thing that most people have that keeps them from seeming like a jerk to most people, which is not going so well as he has recently become aware that he has inherited his mother’s ability to change moods with the slightest provocation.

One of my posts for a character on Digital Hazard
His head had breached the surface in this strange land, and for some reason Shu had this sense that this world held an important challenge for him. The young man swam for the nearest shoreline that he could make out, which happened to be on the shores of a lake. The sounds of creatures growling around him made him reach for his sword. If something were to come at him, then he would be prepared for whatever it may be. Of course, Shu was not ready for the small Dragon that came out at him like a bat out of a very warm place.
His mind quickly recovered from the state of shock, and Shu pointed his sword at the creature. “Identify yourself, or be skewered by my blade.” There was a brief moment of silence where the two of them were sizing each other up, and Shu couldn’t actually tell where a vital organ would be on the creature but he figured it was similar enough to a human or a lizard that he might be able to hurt it. A gust of wind kicked up the dirt on the ground so that both creatures were momentarily blinded, so both of them decided that it was time for them to make a move.
The two of them moved forward and struck at the same time only to find that they had deflected one another. This little dance continued for about thirty minutes before the two of them became exhausted by it. “You’re not half bad at this. What’s your name?” The creature that he had been fighting with only growled at him in a non-threatening tone, which made Shu realize that the small dragon could talk.
“If you are going to be this irritating, then you might as well be a thorn.” As soon as he said it, Shu figured that it would be the perfect name for a creature that could fight but didn’t talk, so he decided to stick with that name until the creature began using its own. “Alright Thornn, why don’t you direct me to some food.” With that, the little dragon began walking off into the forest, and Shu sheathed his sword and followed him. He would have to figure out what this place was on his own, and then he could figure out what he could do to get out of it.
