If there was anything Ryusuke royally sucked at, it was trying to reason with angry people. For the second time, his words he said to quell the tension had exactly the opposite effect - only infuriated the fox even more. As if she was not angry enough at this point. Calling her selfish was a bad, baad idea. The renamon exploded in another rageful tantrum.
- You dirty... YOU'RE SELFISH. - she barked out. How dare that human scold her about selfishness and pathetic revenge when he just said he cared about the other human only to get back to his world? Who was the selfish one here? All the renamon cared about was to make him free Modoki, which wouldn't be possible now too since both she and the boy ran off. But she still was angry. At Ryusuke, at Strikedramon, at Valus, at everything.
Despite she was rather effectively immobilized by the biped dragon and by the weight on her back, she was far from acknowledging defeat so far, her anger driving her forward. Gathering all of her strength, and relying on the fact the strikedramon was basically holding her upper body in the air by her hands, and that his own claws were locked, and not being able to protect anything, she just ... attempted to knee him in the groin. For all the good it will do.

Beginning to lose patience with Renamon as she barked back at him, Ryusuke forced down the sudden urge to simply smack her over the back of the head with his prosthetic arm and be done with it - the last thing he wanted was to risk further brain damage beyond what she already had, plus on top of that he had no idea if it would even work given the physical durability she'd already shown. What, then? He couldn't attempt another choke out with his prosthetic arm without running the risk of permanant damage to his stump and the prosthetic base, and he wasn't about to risk his real arm attempting the same maneuver from the other side, even with Strikedramon pinning her arms in place. Unfortunately, it was the only safe technique he could think of that would disable or incapacitate her without causing further pain or physical trauma, and given how utterly any of his attempts to reason with her had proven, Ryusuke was at a complete loss of how to proceed, and was helpless to do little more than cling onto her back as Valus got further and further away.
Strikedramon, however, had no compunctions about the use of force as long as it wasn't lethal, and acted as such, using his newfound strength to begin his attempt to push Renamon further back in an attempt to overpower her with raw physical strength, his legs bulging slightly and his feet digging into the ground as he began his push. With any luck he'd be able to simply tire her out - now at the Champion level but with similar size and build, Strikedramon figured he likely outclassed Renamon in terms of speed, stamina and strength, meaning he'd probably win any head to head conflict. As Renamon's weight suddenly shifted, though, Strikedramon became keenly aware of the kick aimed at his crotch, and reacted accordingly, shifting his hips slightly to the side to take the blow on the leg while surging forwards himself while she remained off balance, attempting to headbutt her forehead with his own helmeted head - with any luck it would knock her out cold, and end the fight then and there.

Drats! Her kick in the groin missed! And yet, didn't she expect it to? Well, she kinda did, in position she was now, it was fairly obvious for anyone with eyes or brain that she would be able to kick only with her legs. But there was not much else she would be able to do. But still, was she supposed to simply give up and surrender to these ... these traitors?! Nevar! - the controlling voice in her head shrieked as she tried a few more kicks, which were pretty vain, and useless, and couldn't do much damage anyhow...
But what she did seemed to piss off the strikedramon anyhow. Unlike the boy, he was not damaged, and was not going to go easy on her or her angry tantrums. Not that she expected it anyhow. THIS Renamon did not expect or give mercy to anybody, so when he attacked, head-butting her, she took it like a man, in the face, without flinching or anything like that - a hit square in the face, and hoping she won't be knocked out by it in one go...
Except that she was. A flash of stars was seen before her eyes as the skulls clashed, before dull pain from blunt hit and acute pain from ... something inside of her head resonated together, making her grunt and grit her teeth not to scream. It felt like beating a nail inside of her head with a sledge hammer. Only multiplied. Her vision went dark the moment after, either from the pain or the impact, but ... maybe it would be better that way. In such a state ... the renamon was not the one to reason with...
- Bas... tard... - she exhaled before going out cold, her brain activity going to minimum, in other words - snapping out. Her body went meek, limbs stopped supporting her, and she simply collapsed on the floor, first on her knees, then down, face in the dirt... How did it happen? Did it have to end that way? Nobody saw it coming, but yet... here you have it. And to think... all this trouble over one rotten boy... Having three friends have to fight like this... Someone's gonna regret it in the morning... If there will be a morning...

As the headbutt landed perfectly, Ryusuke letting out a quick chout of protest at the act of violence, Strikedramon's head snapped back just as quickly as it had gone forward, prepared to deliver a second blow but immediately seeing there would be no need for one. As she lost the strength needed to stand Strikedramon retained his grip on her arms, preventing her from simply collapsing into the sand and inadvertantly burying Ryusuke under her if she fell the wrong way. Ryusuke, slipping as much of the rigidness that had allowed him purchase slipped away, released his arms and legs from around her to fall onto the ground behind her, nearly losing his balance as he avoided stepping on her now slack tail. Taking another step back, Ryusuke attempted to raise his right arm to wipe the sweat from his face only to stagger forward as a sudden and sharp pain blossomed underneath the metal encasing his right shoulder stump, his left hand instinctively coming up to grip his shoulder as if to protect a wound. Clenching his teeth to avoid moving his right arm out of reflex to the pain, Ryusuke slowly breathed out as it faded into a very prominant ache that seemed to throb every few seconds.
Strikedramon, carefully lowering Renamon to the ground on her back, looked up as soon as he sensed something wrong. Finishing with lowering Renamon into a comfortable laying position, Strikedramon stood up and began moving forwards towards Ryusuke only to be engulfed in a sudden yellow light that shrank, leaving Monodramon where Strikedramon once stood. What had been intended as a step over Renamon instead slipped his foot under her, tripping him as he moved forwards to fall across Renamon before he hastily picked himself back up off of her and moved around her towards Ryusuke.
"What's wrong? Are you hurt somewhere?" Monodramon asked upon reaching the human, unsure of what to do. He was a fighter, not a healer - if anything tried to harm his partner he would fight it off tooth and claw, but those were preemptive actions, meant to prevent harm. He had no idea how to fix the problem after the fact, and that worried him more than anything - only a few days after meeting his partner, and he'd already allowed harm to come to him. While not entirely his fault, something that Monodramon knew in his mind, it was still a blow to his pride, and he still felt responsible.
"I don't know." Ryusuke said, replying a few moments after he managed to get his breathing under control, standing upright with a certain stiffness, releasing his right shoulder and reaching down the front of his shirt with his left arm to gingerly feel around where the metal met flesh, wincing as his hand made contact. He could still move his right arm and had complete control over the fingers, which was a major plus, and he felt no blood or other liquid seeping out from under the metal, but while he couldn't find anything immedaitely wrong the fact remained that something obviously was. He knew the cause, of course - while the prosthetic itself was designed to be incredibly durable and could easily survive the punishment it had endured with virtually no wear and tear, the human body was a completely different matter. Renamon had put significant force behind prying his arm off of her, and that force had been transferred right to the first weak point it found - his shoulder. While the base still seemed to be intact and none of the nerve connections seemed to be severed, Ryusuke was worried that he couldn't find the source of the pain, making an accurate diagnosis difficult.
Pulling his hand from his shirt and checking the white glove visually for any sign of liquid but finding none, Ryusuke's gaze drifted up and over to rest on Renamon before he began walking over to her, wincing as his shoulder protested from the movement before he stopped to stand over her unconscious form, concern in his eyes as he looked down at her. Walking up to stop behind him, Monodramon glanced from Ryusuke to Renamon, before looking back up at Ryusuke.
"What now? Do we keep moving?"
"No, we wait."
