Well, it had happened again.
Latch had managed to leave Koromon at home so he could go out and fight, like he usually would if he didn't have him. He couldn't focus properly with that thing with him, always watching and everything like... Like it wanted to protect him or something. It messed with him, he hated having those eyes fixed on him the entire time he was trying to pick a fight. Not to mention it was distressing to have something with you that needed to be kept hidden, and he really didn't need that.
The day had been pretty okay up until around nine-thirty, when he had seen someone he thought he could take... He didn't know the guy had friends nearby. Latch was pretty much ambushed by them, beaten pretty badly and then left where he'd been taken down. At first, he was seething with rage at the fact that something so unfair had taken place, then he was just angry with himself for losing. Then a while later, he simply felt nothing other than the need to get himself home and sleep.
This was decided around eleven-thirty or so, when he finally managed to force himself to his feet like he had so many times before and started home. Latch's mind was blank for the most part, and the usual constant anger was gone from him... Like it had just suddenly been shut off somehow. He had come to realize that this silence within him was why he fought in the first place, so he could come to attain it and enjoy a bit of peace. This was what made him get his feet after getting knocked down, to keep going no matter how hurt he got, what made him leave the house to look for fights in the first place.
Latch liked to fight, but the aftermath of calm it brought might have been the only reason why... He really wasn't sure anymore, he didn't really want to think at the moment. These thoughts carried him on through the streets and to his house, vaguely wondering how David would react this time. He had to assume just like all the other times; anger. This was all he ever really got out of it, but something in him knew the anger was mostly out of worry.
He'd never truly realize how much it bothered his brother that he came home like this about every night, because if he did then he might have to stop... And he couldn't do that. When he finally stumbled through his door at midnight, he pretty much collapsed after getting himself in. Latch had used what little energy he'd had to get home, and his body simply wouldn't agree with movement anymore. He really didn't care about that though, he was free from the ever present frustration that plagued him, and nothing could ruin that.
David could yell all he wanted to.

David didn't have to think twice as he heard the front door open and shut again, instantly stopping what he was doing on his laptop. His eyes stared blankly at the illuminated screen before he turned his head and tried to stare out of the small opening his bedroom door made, though it was hard to see from where he was sitting at his desk. He noted there were no further footsteps into the apartment, already guessing Latch had just collapsed once he got in. It honestly wouldn't surprise him. It wasn't the first time. ...Or the second for that matter.
"I'm going to kill him." David muttered bitterly, going and quickly typing something on his computer before he went to get up. He had to pick Gigimon up off his lap as he moved, the in-training having fallen asleep there a few hours ago. David had almost forgotten he was there, not use to his partner being this silent. Gigimon shifted a little as he was picked up, stretching his little limbs some as if he were waking up...though as David rested him on his bed he didn't move again. David was somewhat glad his partner wasn't awake, as he didn't want him to try and be a part of this. He honestly didn't trust his brother not to lash out at him...and Gigimon didn't deserve that.
David stood straight and looked toward his door, exhaling sort of deeply and simply standing there a moment. He had to wonder how bad it was this time. Was it just a few bruises and cuts? Or something worse? Just the thought made him sick, a sort of twisted feeling of anger and anxiety. No matter what it was though, he had to force himself to at least try and seem calm, after a few seconds heading out of his room.
Even though he'd prepared himself, he couldn't stop himself from frowning as he took in Latch's state. It wasn't any better or worse than he'd expected it to be...yet it still made him cringe. And he knew what his brother was expecting. He knew Latch was just waiting for him to yell at him, to tell him what an idiot he was for constantly getting himself into this state. It made him sick. It really, really did.
And yet somehow...David managed to keep his anger bottled up for once. Instead of yelling, he just stared at his brother as if he was looking at someone else, something in his eyes almost seeming tired. This needed to stop.
"Glad to see you're home," the words came out before he could stop them, a deceivingly docile tone behind them. He definitely didn't sound happy, but at least he wasn't yelling. Though, he didn't know how much longer he could keep that up.

"Glad to see you're home."He could see right through his brother's tone, easily gathering just how angry David was... He knew his own brother well enough to know when the other was angry at him, no matter how he seemed on the outside. The tone nearly made Latch smile for whatever reason, as if amused somehow by the fact that the other was trying so hard to seem calm when he could see right through the act like one sees through a clean window. He didn't smile at all though, and he didn't say a word until the sarcastic comments passed from his mind. He didn't need to make the situation any worse than it already was.
"...don't mean that do you..." He murmured weakly, meaning more the tone than the words. After a moment Latch tried to force himself to get up but his body vehemently protested the movement, making him sink back to the floor with a look of pain on his face. He felt rather pathetic at the moment, but he really didn't want to focus on that at the moment. His eyes wandered a little and he managed to catch sight of Koromon peeking out of the doorway of his bedroom... The look of concern on the small digimon's face was unmistakable, even in the half conscious state he was in.
His eyes eventually drifted up towards David, but his sight didn't even reach his brother's face before he looked back down to the floor. Latch almost felt like he might fall asleep or something right where he was, but he knew that David would probably start to yell at and lecture him soon enough. He would not have the peace necessary for sleep then, and he would have to stay awake and listen to the other speak.... Or maybe he could still sleep then, provided David didn't make him stay awake.
Latch still felt pretty calm despite everything, his eyes starting to shut after a moment. Something stopped him from closing them completely though, part of him knowing that David would in fact keep him awake... Especially since he knew how angry his brother was with the situation like he always was. He didn't look up at him though, his eyes staying on the floor as if something interesting was going on with it. In truth part of him just couldn't bring himself to look his brother in the eyes, not with everything the way it was at the moment.

"...don't mean that do you..." Whether this was directed toward his tone or his words, David's expression seemed to grow dull. Maybe he didn't mean for it, but in David's eyes his brother was still looking for a fight...just a very different one from what he was use to. After all, what would be the reason to even pointing this out if he wasn't? Normally at this point David would just give into the frustration picking away at him and proceed to say and do what he always did in this situation.
However...he didn't.
David didn't know why this time was different though, as he ended up just standing there staring at Latch. This wasn't going to change. He could spend the rest of the night yelling and lecturing his brother, but in the end he came to realize it wasn't getting him anywhere. Latch would still get himself into these fights. He'd still come home like this. Maybe David was just giving up.
"Shut up,' the words were still toneless, though there almost didn't seem to be any hidden anger behind them. Instead, he just sounded tired. After all, that's all he really was. Tired and worried. It almost made him feel like some sort of parent, which annoyed him. However, Latch's behavior was rather childish...so he might as well be. If Latch was going to act immature, then he would have to act the opposite. Or try to anyway.
David went and knelt down next to his brother, silently observing the damage done to him. He exhaled sharply, again resisting the urge to say something fueled with irritation. Instead, he went and took Latch's arm, not caring enough to be gentle and went to try and help him up to his feet, "does anything feel broken?"
"I can help!"
He really shouldn't have been surprised, but David blinked as he spotted Gigimon hop out from his room, ears perked. Gigimon knew better than to have pretended he was asleep earlier, but he knew David would have just told him to stay in the room if he hadn't. There was no reason for that in his mind, as he was sure he could be of assistance somehow. Stopping about a foot out of the doorway, he was determined to keep from being corralled back into the room.
"Gigimon..." David trailed off with a sigh, knowing the digimon would continue to try and assist him no matter what he said. At the thought, David was beginning to lose his calm some. It was most likely hard to tell though, even by Gigimon. No, if there was anyone that would notice the small tinge of frustration in his expression that was but a small example of how he was really feeling, it was Latch. It wasn't his partner's fault really, as he honestly wasn't angry with him in the least. It was just one more thing he needed to look after. Sure, Gigimon was most likely more able than David seemed to think...but it didn't stop him from stressing over it. Or maybe he just didn't want the help. Like he thought he needed to do this on his own.
"...Alright, fine. If you want to help then go get the first-aid kit." David watched as Gigimon gave a quick nod, seeming excited not only to be helping, but also that David hadn't turned him away. Quickly, the little digimon ran for the bathroom, knowing where the kit was from having seen David get it out before in situations like this. He half-glanced at Koromon as he passed the other in-training, immediately stopping and giving the other digimon an almost respectful nod. "Come on," Gigimon spoke as if Koromon had been a part of this the whole time, seeming as if he were waiting for the other to go ahead of him. After all, Latch was his partner...he felt like he needed to respect that. . . . ♠ . . .

"Shut up."The response really didn't surprise Latch at all, his gaze not removing itself from the floor. He was starting to wonder why David wasn't yelling at him yet, as he was sure it usually would have started by now. It wasn't that he wanted to be yelled at or anything, it was just that it was what was normal and expected. It made it sort of hard for him to really know how his brother was feeling for some reason, though he soon enough realized that just because David wasn't yelling at him didn't mean that he wasn't angry at him... He was always angry at him.
He barely realized it as David knelt next him, only alarmed to it by the sight of the other's feet and then knees. Latch still didn't look up at him though, still staring almost stubbornly at the floor. He only gave some sort of reaction as David took his arm, the lack of caution in the other's actions causing him to shut his eyes in a wince and barely hear his brother's question. As a result he didn't respond at all, starting to feel rather pathetic again as he started to realize just how much pain he was in... He didn't know why he was just now starting to really feel it, figuring it was just that his body didn't want to move and David was making it do so.
Latch managed to open his eyes again despite the pain once he'd been helped to his feet, his legs shaking a tiny bit as if even with David's support he might fall anyway. He barely even heard Gigimon as the little one basically yelled an offer to help, glancing at his brother after a short moment. He could tell at this point David might just lose it soon, rather easily picking up on the partial loss of the other's calm despite how small of a loss it might have been. After a moment his eyes dropped to the floor once again, and he stayed quiet."Come on." Koromon had been so focused on his partner that Gigimon's words were barely even registered, but after a moment he blinked and looked to the other digimon. He noticed that the other in-training seemed to be waiting for him to take the lead, something that sort of surprised him. "Oh... Right..." He murmured, after a moment going forward to take the lead and heading to the bathroom. He managed to nudge the cabinet under the sink open, dragging the kit out with his teeth.
It was sort of hard for him to do, considering the fact he had no limbs and everything but he managed it. However he couldn't exactly move with it in his mouth like this, after a moment dropping it and nudging it towards Gigimon. "I can't carry it." He said lowly, hoping that the other in-training could manage it. He also hoped that whatever was in that box could fix his partner, and that nothing else would be needed... He didn't want to see his partner hurt in the first place, he'd hate for Latch to be seriously injured despite the way their partnership worked.

Regardless of any anger he was feeling, David let up his grip some as his brother winced, resisting the urge to do the opposite as he started toward his brother's room. It was times like these David really did feel like slugging his brother in the face for being so difficult, though he knew in the end doing such a thing would be pointless and barbaric. It wouldn't help any and David was sure it might end up turning his brother away altogether...maybe he would stop coming home at all. The thought was bothersome at the least and David didn't want to think about it too long for it to get any worse.
"You could at least respond to me," David's voice was flat again, though he didn't know why he even bothered. He knew Latch was aware of how angry he was, though something was keeping him from showing it. That might have possibly been the reasoning behind it. If Latch wouldn't respond to anger, than maybe he'd respond to something else. It's not like either of them had anything to lose. David really was close to giving up.
Meanwhile, Gigimon watched as Koromon dragged the first-aid kit out from under the sink, tail swaying some as if growing impatient. He wasn't really, rather just somewhat happy that he could be of use somehow. He'd spent the last few weeks or so virtually locked up in David's room with nothing to do...this was his chance to finally prove how useful he could be! Eh...Well, somehow.
Gigimon had been so wrapped up the sudden thought that he had barely heard Koromon as the digimon nudged the kit toward him. The little in-training blinked, glancing at the other and then down at the first-aid kit before putting together that Koromon wouldn't really carry it. "Oh! Don't worry, I got this." Gigimon gave a confirming smile as he said this, going and taking the kit's handle into his mouth.
Afterward, he simply waited for the other to go ahead of him again, despite his urge to rush out. The little digimon fidgeted a little as if impatient, but he kept his eagerness under control. It seemed a bit insensitive to be acting so excited while someone else was hurt...another thing that kept him from giving into his usual outbursts.

"You could at least respond to me,"He hadn't even really realized they were moving until David spoke, taking a few moments to even remember what his brother had even asked him in the first place. Latch still didn't speak immediately though, his eyes on the floor as if he had to think especially hard to respond. "...uh.... I... I don't think... anything's broken..." He muttered, his eyes staying on the floor almost as if he was afraid to look up...Though he wasn't really, it was just that the still and stable floor was so much easier to focus on than anything else. He stumbled a little bit and let out a very faint curse, managing to stay up only because David was still supporting him.
Part of him felt like shoving David away, just wanting to go lay down in his room. Latch didn't know why though, it wasn't like he was angry with his brother or anything like that... He was actually grateful for the other's help, but he most likely would never admit that. He didn't do anything like what he was thinking about doing, just limping alongside his brother as if he wasn't even thinking about shoving David away and trying to walk on his own. He remained quiet aside from his answer to the other's question from earlier, simply not caring to talk or anything at the moment."Oh! Don't worry, I got this."Koromon watched quietly as Gigimon took the handle of the first aid kit in his mouth, taking a moment to realize that he was once again supposed to be the leader here. He really wasn't used to leading, used to always following behind Latch as that was his place... Never in front, not ever. After a moment though he went ahead and bounced out of the bathroom, looking down the hall a little to Latch at David. He cringed a little as he could tell how much pain his partner was in, even if Latch was refusing to wince or anything anymore.
The little digimon went ahead into Latch's room, since the door was wide open. It was so dark in the room that it scared him just a tiny bit... It actually reminded him of his partner somehow. He looked up to where the light switch was, wondering if he had any chance of jumping up to hit it and bring light to the dark and foreboding space. He didn't think he had any shot at it though, knowing that David would have to be the one to turn the light on.
Instead Koromon simply moved off to the side some and hoped that Gigimon would do the same, not wanting either of them to trip up the two as they entered the room. His eyes stayed on the floor, for the moment not wanting to risk another glance at his partner at the moment... Latch's state stung him, mostly because somehow he felt like it was his fault. If he had been there with his partner, maybe he could have saved him from being so hurt. This was not the time for feeling regret over circumstances he had no control over though, now was the time to be there for Latch like he couldn't be earlier.

"...uh.... I... I don't think... anything's broken..." David exhaled somewhat sharply at his brother's response, nearly snapping at him for not knowing for sure. Though again, it would be such a pointless thing to do that he resisted the urge, just helping Latch along to his room. He remained relatively silent for the time being, partly because he wasn't sure what to say without seeming irritated and partly because Latch didn't seem to be able to really respond to him anyway...or at least he didn't want to.
Gigimon followed Koromon out of the way as David came up to the doorway with Latch, not seeming all that bothered by the almost eerie darkness within the room...if anything, not even seeming to notice it. As David flipped on the light switch, Gigimon blinked a few times to adjust to the brighter lighting. It didn't take too long and he quickly bounded over to his partner's side as David hauled his brother over to his bed to lie him down, dropping the first aid kit at his feet and looking up curiously.
He couldn't really see what was going on from this angle and attempted to hop up onto Latch's bed, his little feet straining to pull him up and keep a hold of the sheets as he nearly made it to the top...though in the end David was the one that pushed him down.
"Gigimon, don't," David's voice was somewhat tense as he spoke, looking down at his partner and then to Koromon, "Go play with Koromon or something."
Gigimon huffed a little, glancing over to Koromon and then up to Latch's bed again. Play?! How on earth was he suppose to play when he could be of use still? The little in-training didn't think it was fair, but he knew better than to argue when his partner was in this mood. "..fiiiine."
David watched as Gigimon plopped down and sat by his feet, sighing a little and turning back to Latch. He set the first-aid kit on the edge of the bed before looking over his brother's wounds again, scratching the back of his head, "...Maybe I should just take you to the hospital."
This was definitely the smartest thing to do, but David was almost afraid to consider this option...he didn't know why, but he was. As if he thought they would know how he received such wounds. Not to mention, it would seem suspicious, considering this has happened several times before. He didn't know what they would do or if they even would do anything, but he worried about it nonetheless.

He closed his eyes in response to the light at first, opening them after a moment slowly and finding his eyes had now adjusted themselves. Latch still didn't speak, mostly because he had nothing to respond to but he also really just didn't want to talk still... He could tell David was still angry with this whole situation, and he thought it was a better decision to stay silent than even try to talk about anything. He barely even acknowledged the presence of the digimon despite the fact they had been sitting right at the doorway, his eyes still fixed on the floor. Whenever he was hurt like this, he had a habit of becoming unresponsive and withdrawn for some reason, like that was just how he dealt with it.
Latch winced faintly as he was placed on his bed, but he felt much more comfortable here than he had on the floor or upright and walking. He felt like going to sleep almost now that he was laying down again, after a moment letting his eyes close. It felt nice to be at peace like this for once, despite the pain coursing through his body... All he cared about was the fact that there wasn't any anger going through him too. He barely even heard anything that was going on between Gigimon and David, however as he heard Koromon's name he opened his eyes a little.
His gaze wandered across the carpet and over to the little pink digimon, for whatever reason wondering... How did his partner feel over seeing him like this? Latch didn't even know why he cared, why the concerned look on Koromon's face made him feel even a little sad. The injured boy tried not to care about that though, deciding to look away and up towards the ceiling as he continued to zone out. However as David spoke to him he was snapped back to reality, and his blank gaze turned to look up towards his brother."...Maybe I should just take you to the hospital."This idea sent distress through Latch almost immediately, the idea not sitting well with him at all. With how many times he'd gone there, his mind was going the same place that David's had. He managed to give a small shake of his head, despite the fact even this movement caused him some discomfort. "no... t... they might get suspicious... if I keep going in like this..." He muttered weakly, for once an emotion other than anger entering his voice... It sound like fear almost.
One thing Latch had learned in his life was that people tend to make assumptions, himself included. If anyone on the outside were to look at him and David and the fact they go to the hospital so often... He could see people thinking his brother was the one doing this to him. "I don't need to go..." He said lowly, after a moment looking away from his brother and back up towards the ceiling. Because of this he didn't catch the look on Koromon's face, the expression of blatant surprise.
The little digimon hadn't seen this much emotion come from his partner before, at least any emotion other than anger. It almost confused the in-training digimon that Latch seemed scared of going to the hospital, since he believed it to be a place of healing and help. Koromon couldn't see the threats that his partner saw, and knew nothing of the accusations he feared. As a result he decided to sit and think about it, not wanting to have to ask about it... Now was not the time anyway.

David nodded after his brother spoke, as he'd already come to a similar conclusion on his own. Or maybe he just knew this would be Latch's answer. Even though Latch had given his reason behind it, David wasn't sure if he should believe him, thinking his brother was simply too prideful to admit he needed to go to the hospital. He felt sort of guilty for thinking it though, as his brother had never given him any reason to believe he was lying. Lately, David was just finding it hard to take his brother's word seriously...
"Alright. Well, can you at least sit up? I'm not going to sit here and clean you up like you're a damn five year old," The words came out before David could really think over what he was saying, his usual mood during these situations starting the shine again. He had to look to the side afterward though, shaking his head for whatever reason as he quickly came to the resolve that holding in his frustration was only going to work for so long. Besides, Latch could already tell he was angry.
Gigimon kept his head up to look at David, blinking as his partner's tone hinted to being somewhat irritated. The in-training's ears folded down a bit, feeling sort of uneasy despite the fact that it wasn't him David was angry with. Even so, he quietly got to his feet and backed up some, after a few moments sort of quickly skittering over to Koromon. He noticed a somewhat surprised look on the other digimon's face, though didn't question it, just going and sitting down beside him.
"They're gunna start fighting again..." Gigimon spoke lowly so only Koromon would hear him, knowing David most likely wouldn't appreciate the comment if he had heard it. The digimon's words sounded more concerned then anything else, eyes trained on his partner still before he gave Koromon a little glance.

"Alright. Well, can you at least sit up? I'm not going to sit here and clean you up like you're a damn five year old."The words managed to spark some irritation in him, mostly because Latch wasn't entirely sure if he could even manage sitting up... Everything hurt so much. He took a few moments before even starting to try, wincing as he struggled to sit up and tried to ignore the discomfort the action caused. He managed to sit up but just barely, seeming like he'd much rather be laying back down already and keeping his eyes closed. It took him another few moments to get over the pain moving had caused, his eyes sliding open a little as he got past it and was able to deal with the stinging from all of his combined wounds.
"...no one said... you had to clean me up..." Latch said this without it really processing as a bad thing to say, especially since David was already angry with him. Maybe he was simply too proud to go to the hospital and he'd been lying but... No, he was afraid of people thinking it was his brother who was beating him all this time. He was rather tempted to lay back down but he could see it as being taken like an act of defiance, and after what he'd just said he knew it would not go over well. He didn't even look at David as he just waited for the other to release his irritation, just waiting for the yelling so that he could just get through it and it would be over with. "They're gunna start fighting again..."Koromon gave a faint 'hmn' noise in response to what Gigimon said, as he had expected a fight since Latch had dragged himself in the house. It really did not surprise him that things were going like this, and if anything would have been unsettled if things were going differently... That's how common this was. The in-training didn't want them to fight of course, he hated yelling and Latch needed to rest instead of argue with his brother. There was also the possibility of David hurting him, something that made the little digimon frown and watch with an increasingly concerned look on his face.
"don't fight..." He murmured quietly, though he was quite sure that neither of the boys would hear him... His voice was too quiet. Koromon was not the type to be very outspoken when he knew he was at a disadvantage, so his voice had come out in that weak little murmur. All he could do was watch really, and hope that maybe just this once they wouldn't fight. He knew that this was unlikely though, if not entirely impossible.

"...no one said... you had to clean me up..." Latch was right to think his words would set his brother off, as David stepped back a little and gave him a rather nasty glare, "Yeah? And no one ever said I had to let you live here or feed you either."
It was impossible not to see David was slipping from the somewhat calm facade he was trying to upkeep, unable to hold back the part of him that was absolutely seething underneath this. David knew himself well enough to know he wasn't going to be able to keep from getting into a fight with his brother again, despite knowing he'd end up kicking himself for it later. It was just too frustrating to resist... "And you know what? Maybe I shouldn't. After all, you're right. I'm not your fucking mother. I don't have to look after you like this. Why don't you get off your whiny ass, get a job, and rent your own damn apartment where you can take care of you own shit and not have to worry about me trying to help!"
...David obviously hadn't heard Koromon speak and even if he had it most likely wouldn't have stopped him. Gigimon had lost the usual look of content in his expression and a light frown came over him. He didn't quite understand that David was yelling out of worry, thinking he was just angry and he lowered himself to the ground in response. This wasn't even close to being his fault, but if someone were to see the in-training as he was now, they most likely would have thought it was. Yelling and arguing like this was something that almost seemed to frightened him and react as if he'd done something wrong. David had even come to notice this over the last few weeks...though it didn't seem as if he noticed it now. Either he was too angry to give his partner the slightest bit of attention or he was too ashamed of himself for snapping to look at him.

"Yeah? And no one ever said I had to let you live here or feed you either."Well that was it... Latch had finally succeeded in lighting the fuse of his brother's anger, something that actually was sort of a relief to him. He felt so tense just sitting there waiting for it, he really wished David had just let him have it the moment he had come in the house. Of course he knew that Koromon didn't appreciate this but what did that little blob's feelings matter? ...Well he did care a little bit, but not nearly enough to not want his brother to just get through the whole thing with yelling at him."And you know what? Maybe I shouldn't. After all, you're right. I'm not your fucking mother. I don't have to look after you like this. Why don't you get off your whiny ass, get a job, and rent your own damn apartment where you can take care of you own shit and not have to worry about me trying to help!"He heard Koromon give a faint whimper at David's words, but Latch himself found some relief in his brother's outburst. "why can you never... just say that... to start with?" He questioned after a few moments, afterward having to lay back down as he ran out of energy to stay upright. He was panting lightly as if this had taken quite a bit of effort for him to lay back down, however there appeared to be a faint smile on his lips for whatever reason. Latch didn't even know that it was there, but it was most likely just because David had finally just gone ahead and yelled at him already.
"...you don't... need to help... I can do it later..." He murmured quietly, ignoring the disapproving whimper his digimon partner gave. Koromon didn't like when his partner rejected help from David like this, when he was in pain and needed it the most. After a few moments he sort of bounced forward a little while giving Gigimon a sort of reassuring look, looking up towards the bed where Latch was afterward. He had a wide frown on his face, wishing that he could clean and bandage his partner's wounds himself... He knew he couldn't though.
"...Please... Don't listen to him. Please help him." Koromon pleaded quietly, peering up at David with a hopeful look. He was afraid his partner's brother would just say he didn't deserve it and stomp out of the room, leaving Latch at the mercy of his wounds. Still though the little in-training had to try and make sure his partner would be taken care of, after all it was his job. He didn't get the chance to protect him, but the least he could do was make sure Latch got the help that he needed so badly right now.

A bitter look was all David gave his brother as he lied back down, barely hearing what he had to say as most of it was lost to the string of frustrations that began to plague him. He was going to snap again, it felt inevitable. One would think by not responding in hostility, that Latch would manage to calm his brother's anger...yet all it seemed to do was antagonize him further. It was the lack of a response really that got him, wishing Latch would at least give him the respect of a full response.
"Well, then have fun with that," David muttered crossly, lowering his head as he took a small step back. He didn't like feeling like this. It was already bad enough Latch came home like this constantly, that he would always end up lashing out at him...and then he just feel guilty for it later on. This was getting to the point where David really wasn't sure what he was feeling anymore, deciding the best option for now would be to just let himself cool off. He knew Latch needed help, but...it wasn't anything life threatening. David was tired of being the one to clean up his brother's mess.
"...Please... Don't listen to him. Please help him."
At this, He paused, glancing down at Koromon with a sort of distant look. The words only made his guilt grow some, looking away from his brother's partner and than to him. He should help...but...
No...
What was he thinking? It pained him to know he was about to just up and walk away from Latch so selfishly, closing his eyes a moment and taking a deep breath as he attempted to cleanse the negative feeling from his conscious. This happened every time. He just needed to relax. His brother was fine...as long as he stayed and helped him, he would be fine. For now. ...And that was what really bothered him. This was only for now.
David have a faint nod however, turning back to Latch and going to retrieve the first aid kit. Opening it up, he went about his regular routine, taking out some rubbing alcohol, cotton swabs, bandaged...etc. This was too familiar for him, something that bothered him. He refused to dwell on it though, going and grabbing on of Latch's arms to pour a bit of rubbing alcohol over it to clean it out. There was little care or gentleness in his actions however, a small sign that he was still trying to control his disdain and keep himself from walking off again.

"Well, then have fun with that."Latch nearly laughed at what his brother said for some reason, as he had really been expecting such a response. Now David would leave the room and leave him like this, all cut up and in pain because he was so frustrated with him. This had happened many times before and he could see it happening again so vividly that he could have sworn it had already happened. It might has well have really, his brother might as well have just left him laying next to the door like when he had come in.
He barely even heard Koromon plead on his behalf, his mind starting to aimlessly drift towards the vast darkness of sleep. Really sleep sounded so nice at the moment but his throbbing body didn't really allow for it, as the constant pain kept him at least semi-aware. Latch was beginning to wonder when he would fall asleep, if ever. He supposed he might in a few hours, when he was finally exhausted enough to drift off.
"...!"
He gave a sort of sudden gasp as David started to clean his wounds out, the pain the rubbing alcohol brought as well as his brother's not too gentle grasp had jerked him from his thoughts. Latch nearly looked at his brother but his eyes wouldn't cooperate... Or maybe he just felt like he shouldn't look at him. He also felt like he should say thank you, or really anything of nature but just like his eyes, his voice would not work. He really was grateful for this but for whatever reason he just could not bring himself to make it clear that he was, and he actually found this quite frustrating sing it would just make him look like even more of a jerk to his brother.
Koromon on the other hand wasn't really thinking about any of that, he was just glad that his partner was getting the help that he needed. The in training moved back so if David moved he didn't risk getting stepped on, and if he was farther back he could sort of see Latch a little. He really felt like going up on the bed so he could be beside his partner, but he didn't really think his presence there was needed or would be too appreciated. So as a result he just moved back beside Gigimon again, just watching from the carpet as David worked.
