Latch was surprised by Dracmon's expression, as it was not one he had ever seen before on the digimon's face. Granted they had only known each other for a very short time, in fact he wasn't even sure he could really say they knew each other. Even so it seemed odd to the boy, and for a split second he seemed confused. Why would Mouse's partner even give him such a look anyway, what did it even really mean?
None of this really showed though since he was rather used to hiding how he felt, just watching the rookie with the same solemn expression as if he was unaffected. Latch waited in silence for Dracmon's reply, noting it seemed to be taking him a while and spotting the smile Mouse gave her partner. However he jerked back a bit as the dark digimon suddenly pointed at him, finally showing some other emotion. He seemed almost tense somehow, just waiting for the insult he knew was coming."Look here, human. The only reason why I risked my life for you was because if I had let you die then my Mousey would have been devastated~♫!"He had expected that really, some frustration bleeding through into his expression. After all of that had just happened, Dracmon was still saying stuff like that. Though after a moment the feeling faded as he noticed the digimon's finger retract a bit, wondering if anything Mouse's partner was saying even had any feeling to it. He sounded angry but..."I have no pity or care for you! Why would I?! You're nothing but a big, stupid...ehh..."...So, he really didn't mean it did he? He gave an amused snort and looked off to the side, though he didn't seem to know what exactly to say in response. Latch found himself hoping that Dracmon wasn't about to go fangless cobra on him though, as it would feel very odd to him if the rookie wasn't at least slightly annoying or abrasive towards him. Them making nice just didn't seem to work, really the only thing he saw them having in common was caring for Mouse's safety.
Latch looked back to Dracmon as he started to give a genuine apology, though the last of it sounded a little ridiculous. "You really have a way with words, don't you?" He commented lowly, looking off to the side a little again. His mind wandered a little from what was going on, absently wondering what time it was and if David was worried or not. Considering he had nearly died twice tonight, it seemed fitting somehow for his brother to feel that way... Even if he had no way of knowing.
He was snapped out of his thoughts as the ground suddenly opened up, quickly looking to the light that came forth from it. Latch felt a sense of déjà vu as he watched it, blinking as he registered a warm feeling pervading though the air. It was odd to him though, nearly to the point where it made him uncomfortable... Yet in direct contradiction to that, at the same time it relaxed him. The boy watched quietly as Mouse and Dracmon received their own digimental, he felt a tinge of pride for some reason... Most likely because he knew that both he and Mouse harbored the same sort of darkness, and yet in spite of that had gained these items.
Latch was fairly surprised by the behavior the girl exhibited after the egg was received though, as it was just so different from what he was used to. He didn't really consider it a bad thing, it was just... Odd and unfamiliar to him right now was all. He quite nearly jerked back again as Mouse came over, watching as she gave Koromon a kiss. Well that was certainty unexpected, though-.... The boy's thoughts were suddenly cut off as he found himself being hugged, and then of all things, kissed on the cheek.
...
Koromon looked up to his partner, noting the almost blank look on the boy's face and seeming to silently ask if he was alright. Latch gave a faint nod, this just sort of sat down, his face actually a little red. His digimon stared up at him a moment more before noticing... Then started giggling quietly, covering his mouth with his antennae. The boy nearly said something or tried to make the in training stop, but instead he remained quiet and didn't move.
Latch was far too embarrassed to do anything other than breathe and will his face back to its natural color.

M O U S E . The two continued their spinning, eventually coming to a slow as Dracmon signaled several times that it had begun to make him a bit nauseous with a few gagging noises. Mouse let out a whole-hearted laugh to her and pat his head while he stayed latched to her shoulders. "I'm sorry!" she chirped to him, grinning from ear to ear as the two nodded to each other in undersanding.
They were quiet for a bit, not having noticed Latch sinking to the ground with a dumbstruck expression. Mouse just kept her fingers curled against Dracmon's cheek, gently caressing him in silent praise before he shifted his hands to see if the two were still there. To his delight, they were seated on the ground... Latch in particular looking like a lovestruck schoolboy. While this would have upset him, he was far too amused by his stupid expression to let it piss him off, "Would you take a gander at how red you've made him, Mousey?!"
Blinking in surprise she turned to go see Latch seated on the ground. There was a moment of euphoria that had rushed through her, and the sudden realization how happy she had been to see that she had had that kind of effect on him. It was probably the moment she realized she had feelings for him.
Why wouldn't she? Latch had defended her honor on more than one account, protected her partner when he clearly wasn't deserving of protection of him, and even stayed around this time to celebrate a victory. He could have just ran away like she had expected him to the moment her lips met his cheek – but he didn't. Mouse hadn't felt the bubbling giddiness she had for Latch for any other boy since she was.. well, very small. It very much felt like a school girl crush, but she didn't want to ruin the magic of it all with clinginess. She was one to play hard to get – and damn it, she would.
With Dracmon still on her shoulders, she moved over to the two, smiling pleasantly to the both of them. She was far too drunk with joy to feel that her own cheeks had gone a bit pink. "You're both tired..." Mouse crouched down in front of Latch, smiling fondly to him still. "Want a ride home?"
Well that was odd... Mouse had absolutely no mode of transportation being dirt poor and homeless in Japan... Dracmon and she however were smiling with utmost confidence - like they had a secret. They would get the two home - HOW, however, was theirs to know.

"Would you take a gander at how red you've made him, Mousey?!"The fact Dracmon had pointed it out just embarrassed Latch further, making him actually blush more and hiding his face with a hand. Koromon meanwhile just giggled more, even after his partner covered his mouth with his free hand. Oddly enough he didn't feel mad over being laughed at like this though, but he was sure a week ago he would have been. Instead he just hoped Mouse hadn't seen his face before he covered it up, not wanting her to see how discomposed he was.
He knew that covering up his face like this would just further prove he was embarrassed though, but he couldn't bring himself to take his hand down. Latch didn't know why he felt like this, why he was nearly on the border of feeling humiliated... He had to figure it was because this had never happened to him and he had no idea how to react. A girl had certainly never kissed him, he'd never even had a girlfriend. He'd been labeled as someone who might turn abusive by girls at school, or at least that was what the boy assumed since he had constantly been in fights.
As Latch's thoughts dwelled for a moment on girlfriends he sort of realized something, why he was so embarrassed in the first place in particular... He had something of a crush on Mouse. He didn't know what exactly had created it, as his thoughts were becoming a little scattered in response to his epiphany. Somewhere in his mind though the answer was obvious, and his mind calmed for some reason at this. After a moment he allowed his hand to come down from his face, only to see Mouse there smiling at him."You're both tired... Want a ride home?"Latch blinked and found himself tipping his head to the side slightly in confusion towards the proposal... how on earth did she plan to get them home? "Uh... Yeah but... How would you get us home?" He asked lowly, silently relieved by the fact this inquiry had gotten Koromon to stop giggling at him... Though his face was still a little red and the digimon was still very much entertained by this fact. The boy knew this but was too curious about what Mouse's answer would be to care, keeping his eyes on her. It was actually a little difficult to do though, and he had to force his eyes not to wander.
He was finding that he was actually rather nervous at the moment.

M O U S E . Mouse pulled her her digivice from her pocket, smiling confidently at her friends. It was a stretch to try this twice in one day, but she knew that Dracmon had acquired energy from both defeating Arachnemon and receiving a digimental. After watching Raidramon's evoution, she couldn't help but want to give armor evolution a try. She wasn't as patient as others - to say the least. "Shall we?" she chirped, looking to Dracmon who had hopped off her shoulder.
The demon digimon spun on his heels, clenching his hands in an excited manner. "I believe we shall! Let me have it, dear!"
And with that, Mouse brought her digivice to her heart. The digimental resting within the device began to glow in response to her silent wish - and soon the two were enveloped in a pink light.
This evolution was different, instead of his skin being violently torn from his digital core the armor egg offered Dracmon new pieces of data. His cloth-like mask made to look much like an executioner's was replaced with a metal helmet with a holy marking engraved in it, something that would never have been seen in any evolutions in a dark digimon like him. Inside the digimental's light, Dracmon's arms wrapped around himself softly as his body elongated in a way that wasn't painful, but rather rejuvenating. He felt the pain and anger leave his body as he began to realize that love was more than just a nice feeling - but rather the reason he had become so angry in the first place. Every virtue that the digimentals had to offer came with a vice - love was both innocent and guilty in the sense that it was the cause of both acceptance and jealousy.
Six shimmering wings branched from his small body, curling around both Mouse and the other two. Soon his entire being became composed of love, and he felt the strength from the ancient digimon inhabit his being along with Arukenimon's gift. The white veil wrapped around his clawed fingers, causing his monstrous appearance to finally soften and rest within his winged form that he now possessed.
[ DRACMON ARMOR DIGIVOLVE TO . . . _ ]
[ A N G E M O N ! ]
Angemon stood, resonating the aura that came with the digimental. Each wing flexed individually as he looked them over in silence from behind his mask. Mouse stared up at Angemon in awe, hardly believing that this could have been the same digimon that had slapped Latch across the face only a bit earlier. The digimon stood a few trees high, easily towering over them and glowed bright enough to be mistaken for a star on earth.
Mouse tried to suppress her surprise when Angemon gently scooped her up and placed her on his shoulder. As if containing her giddiness wasn't hard enough already, she let out a full laugh when she saw that he was only offering his holy staff to Latch to grab ahold of. Despite the angelic appearance he had been given, he was still her Dracmon.
She had to admit to herself... she liked him a lot more in this form than as DexDorugamon. Mouse grinned down at Koromon and Latch, waving her hand a bit in an encouraging manner, "Let's go!"

He watched Mouse take the digivice from her pocket, able to gather what she intended to do... But was it even possible. Latch was still sort on unclear on the whole digivolution thing, but he thought that Dracmon would be too low on energy to digivolve after that fight. The boy didn't entirely understand the concept of downloading a defeated digimon's data and the strength it brought, but he wasn't about to voice any of his confusions or doubts. He decided he would just wait and see what happened, whether something did happen or not.
As the pink glow started up his eyes widened a little, noting the differences between this digivolution and BlackAgumon's into Raidramon. However they both gave off a calming aura, and Latch's nervousness and embarrassment vanished because of the one the pink glow gave off. He found himself wondering what Dracmon would turn into, after a moment getting himself to stand and just watching. By logic he thought it'd be something similar in appearance to the rookie, but he realized then that DexDorugamon had been rather different from Dracmon... Digivolutions held little to no logic he supposed.
Despite all these thoughts he was simply floored as he looked Angemon over once the glow faded, hearing Koromon give a faint 'wooww' in awe. Latch gave a very faint nod as if to agree, tilting his head back a little since the digimon was so tall. It was a little intimidating to see, despite the calm aura and holy appearance. He almost felt like sitting down again but that would just make Angemon tower over him even more, so he forced himself to stay standing. The boy suddenly thought of something though... What if someone saw this, any of this?
What if the glow Angemon was giving off attracted unwanted attention? He looked around a little as if he was uneasy, but these thoughts melted away like ice after a moment. Latch blinked as he saw Mouse get scooped up, watching as Angemon place her on his shoulder. His thoughts momentarily wandered to wonder what it was like to be up that high, though he figured he would find out soon enough.
Latch blinked as the holy rod was offered to him instead of a hand, giving a snort and looking off to the side... He really should have expected that. At Mouse's encouragement he gave a little nod, shifting Koromon into one arm and holding him securely. For whatever reason the boy hesitated at first, then stepped forward a little and grabbed onto the rod. He unconsciously tightened his grip on his partner a little, as if he feared dropping him.

M O U S E . The moment Latch took hold of the staff, Angemon lifted him up to rest him on his opposite shoulder... swiftly so he wouldn't have to hold his own (and Koromon's) weight for too long and surprisingly gently. Mouse smiled across Angemon's shoulder at Latch, but suddenly blushed the moment she realized she was doing it and ducked her head to look at the ground below them. Hm, they weren't all that high up. Angemon was probably only about thirteen feet tall... but still, it was sure different than climbing a tree or anything like that. That glow he was giving off, too... it was bound to get some attention. But she really couldn't care less... people ought to see an angel once in their lives.
She found herself smiling at the idea of it when suddenly Angemon's wings unfurled quickly and caused a great gust of wind to brush past the three. Mouse gave a startled yelp, gripping onto the digimon's nearby wing tightly. Angemon smirked at this, bending down some to prepare a jump. "Hold on~" Angemon spoke in a great voice - one Mouse had not heard from him yet. It was strange, he still sounded like himself but so serene and happy. She hadn't expected Angemon to speak at all, but she was somewhat relieved to hear something like Dracmon's voice come from the angel.
And suddenly, they were airborne. Mouse kept herself latched tightly to the large digimon, forcing her eyes shut as the wind got into them and she was too frightened to look down. "too fast...too fast..." she muttered over and over again, finally causing Angemon to slow down a bit into a glide over the city of Odaiba. Mouse finally found the courage to peek over Angemon's shoulder and down at the city, eyes wide to see the lights from below.
"Wow..." she mused, feeling the wind in her hair that would have normally chilled her to the bone if it weren't for the warmth that Angemon gave off. Mouse took a look over at Latch and Koromon to see how they were faring, "Where do you live?!" she shouted to them, certain that it would be difficult to hear with the wind in their ears.

As soon as he was lifted up he felt an odd sort of feeling in the pit of his stomach like he was being dropped, confusingly enough. Latch heard Koromon give a little squeak of surprise, glancing down at the digimon a moment before his gaze was quickly redirected upwards... Now was not a good time to discover he was afraid of heights. As he was placed on Angemon's unoccupied shoulder he had to look down, actually giving and very faint shake of his head before looking up towards the sky again. It would be stupid to be afraid of being up here, heights were no big deal at all...Right?
The boy jumped a little at the sudden gust of wind, finding his nerves were more than a little frayed by tonight's events. He calmed down quickly enough though, telling himself everything was fine and he wasn't going to fall or anything like that... Oh well great now all he could think about was falling. Latch was nearly frustrated with himself for feeling like this, but really after a few moments the exhaustion set in and that was all he could feel. He wondered for a moment if he was feeling what Koromon was, looking down at the little digimon in his arms as it yawned."Hold on~"Oh no.
Latch gave an involuntary gasp as they suddenly went up, for a short moment panicking and having no idea how to keep himself where he was. In the end he ended up pretty much clinging to Angemon with one arm while keeping a firm hold on Koromon with the other. He shut his eyes tightly due to the wind and hoped they'd be landing soon, finding he was really hating this at the moment. as they slowed however he found he could open his eyes again, and he wasn't so startled by everything... He could look down now maybe.
He knew he would have to, even before he heard Mouse's yelled question... Latch had to hope he could actually find it though. After a moment he forced himself to get out of the ridiculous hunched and clinging position he'd been in, trying to act as if nothing had happened at all and he'd been perfectly fine the whole time. The boy's eyes scanned the city below them as he tried to pinpoint the apartment complex he lived in, seeming calm for the most part since he had something to focus on. "There!" He shouted in reply after a few good minutes of searching, daring to bring his hand away from Angemon where he was holding on to point to his home.
After a moment Latch had to look down at Koromon, wondering how he was dealing with all of this... He shook his head in disbelief as he found the in training had somehow managed to fall asleep.

M O U S E . Angemon grinned when he felt that Latch had been uncomfortable, not able to fight off his devilish nature even in this form. Once Latch pointed to the apartment complex where he belonged, Angemon dived - making sure to keep one of his six wings behind Latch just incase the boy would go flying off.
But no such thing happened, much to Angemon's chagrin. Mouse would have punished him for that if she wasn't busy clinging for dear life when they took the nosedive down into the complex. Angemon spread his wings to brake their flight and made sure that no one was around his feet when he landed.
Soon Angemon's large hand went to pluck Latch off his shoulder by the scruff of his shirt and then gently set him down onto the balcony. Mouse let out a breathless laugh, pushing her hair back that had been messied by the flight, "Whew." Angemon offered both Latch and Koromon a nod as his wings spread again, obviously eager to get out of there (whether it was because he just didn't like being around Latch or he was worried about running out of strength soon.)
Mouse was sure to press her hand against Angemon's shoulder to keep him from taking off so quickly, smiling in admiration at the boy down on the balcony. She seemed to be thinking something over but could feel the tension between him and her digimon partner. Still, Dracmon wouldn't be pulling any fast ones on him anytime soon again.
"...Well..." The girl began with a breath, looking over her shoulder and then back at Latch - as if expecting that they had an audience.. which they soon would have if they stayed any longer - what with the huge glowing angel and all. Mouse wasn't sure what to do or say in this situation, and felt her heart throbbing quickly and nervously when faced with a decision that needed to be made. She was never the romantic type... but she didn't want to disappoint the guy. However, after a quick debate... she decided maybe it was best to let him down versus making a fool of herself.
"...Goodnight!"
Angemon took that as his cue and took a long step back, readying himself to take off again. But before he could, he felt Mouse pat at his shoulder again to get him to stop.
"Oh hey... Latch!" Mouse shouted, still secure on Angemon. After going into her backpack for something then appeared to quickly scribble, Mouse's hand suddenly poised a little paper plane as she let it drop and float down to his feet. With that she gave him a wink and Angemon backed away from the complex, then took off with enough speed and light emitting from him to be mistaken for a shooting star.

Latch ended up pretty much clinging to Angemon again as they dived, wondering how on earth Koromon was still asleep. He guessed the fight really had exhausted his partner to the fullest extent, as the wind and sudden drop seemed to have absolutely no effect on the little digimon. So in other words he was left to deal with this alone, which he supposed really wasn't too different from how he usually dealt with things... Or had been dealing with things. Help was once something he outright rejected, but he had been starting to accept it the past week.
He felt relieved as they finally landed, finally since to him it had almost felt like an eternity of worrying he was going to go flying off and subsequently falling to his death... Well he had been trying not to think like that, but had been highly unsuccessful. Latch had been about to sit up when he was suddenly picked up, giving a small squirm as if in protest before just dealing with it and keeping a secure hold on Koromon. The boy nearly collapsed as he was set down, body rather shaky from the experience of flying. He managed to keep himself steady though, leaning on the railing a little and looking up at Mouse and Angemon.
He acknowledged the angel digimon's nod with one of his own before his eyes focused on Mouse alone, noting the way she was smiling at him. It confused him really, as he couldn't really recall a time where anyone had looked at him that way. Latch's eyes darted to Angemon a short moment, as he was pretty sure he wanted to get going and out of his presence. Even with everything that had happened tonight and even with how much Mouse seemed to like him... There was still a gap filled with tension between them, and he figured there always would be.
Latch's attention was quickly focused back on the girl, noting she seemed to be thinking something over. Given the fact that he was not the romantic type either nor did he watch such things, he didn't know of the cliche balcony kiss; so in effect he didn't entirely know what Mouse was thinking about. Even so he felt a very faint pulse of disappointment go through him as she just said goodnight, though it didn't show through into his expression at all. "Night." He called back, something about it seeming awkward somehow."Oh hey... Latch!"The boy had just barely turned to go in his apartment when Mouse called out again, looking back at her and watching as the girl took some paper out. Latch seemed surprised by the paper airplane, watching it quietly as it floated down to his feet. He looked up in time to catch the wink from her, watching as Angemon backed away and quickly took flight. He watched in silence until he couldn't see them anymore, before bending down to pick up the paper.
He unfolded it then read over the paper, at first feeling a pang of disbelief... Then he actually, for the first time in years, gave a small but genuine smile. Latch looked up towards the sky a moment before heading inside, realizing how tired he was. The apartment was totally silent and he figured everyone had gone to bed by now, since it was rather late. The boy went to his room and put the still sleeping Koromon on his bed, before curling up on it himself.
Latch was too exhausted to even change clothes, just falling asleep with the paper still clutched in his hand.
