He didn't like it here... Why had he wandered so far this way? BlackGuilmon had merely been wandering, lost in his thoughts as he walked aimlessly in one direction and paying no heed to where he was. However soon these... Voices began to pick at his subconscious, breaking up his thoughts and bringing him rather quickly back to reality. One glance at his surroundings told him he had stayed too far, much too far for his liking and really should be turning back. The one and only problem with this idea was the simple fact that he was afraid, simply stuck frozen to the patch of ground his clawed feet currently occupied. "This is not good... Not good at all..." The virus digimon murmured to himself, his eyes darting about nervously. He really had no idea where he was, and that was one of the parts of this situation that kept him rooted to the dirt. BlackGuilmon did not ever wander into dark places such as this, however it appeared that the dreaded 'first time for everything' rule decided to rear its now ugly head this day much to his displeasure. This place was home to the malevolent voices and dark thoughts that plagued him in the night, as they took root wherever there was darkness... They even murmured to him in the passing shadows of trees. BlackGuilmon's eyes darted over the area, taking note of anything and everything he saw as he remained alert for any sort of threat. The tombstones that littered the yard he had wandered into made him wonder what lurked beneath the dirt, nevermind what lurked within the mysterious building that stood nearby. The thought of monsters worse than anything his nightmares could ever conjure began to spawn within his mind, making him whimper and uproot himself from the ground. The virus digimon darted forward, his feet thumping heavily against the ground in his haste to get somewhere he deemed safe... But what if all the noise awoke whatever lay beneath the earth? He stopped as he reached a spot at the edge of the graveyard, staring out at them with pinprick pupils. BlackGuilmon was panting heavily from running and all the panicking that had taken a hold of him, even shaking slightly. The voices still picked at him, whispering foul ideas and wicked notions as he just stood there and stared. He didn't know how much longer he could deal with it really, wishing that he could just get somewhere bright again... The sky was so dark here, as if night had taken it for its own for eternity. The lizard-like digimon backed away from the graves a few more steps before he froze up again, slowly sinking down to the dirt. He covered his head with his large paws, not wanting to see anything of this place for at least a few moments. In the silence the whispers became louder, and the ideas became more foul as the notions became more wicked. Why he was plagued with such ill-intentioned hallucinations he might never know, all he wished was for them to stop. All he wished was he had never run into the forest that day and never turned into this.

This place was absolutely haunting. Dark, gloomy, and simply frightening ...this was most likely why Fangmon loved it so much. There was something about the fact that it managed to give him a chill that was completely delightful. He wondered if anyone else had stumbled upon this place. Oh, he sure hoped so. This was the perfect setting for his type of fun.
The champion digimon looked up and examined the eerie structure beside him, his long purple claws leaving gashes in the dirt as he strolled. His pupils widened and shrunk again, a light giggle escaping from between his grinning teeth. "What a beautiful thing," Fangmon's voice trailed off into a soft snicker, an unnerving and almost sarcastic hint to it. His tail lashed behind him some as if he'd become excited, lifting a paw as he went and slashed his claws against the wall of the building. It left a faint mark and he gave a pleased hum, bringing his paw up again and placing his claws into the marks they'd just made. His eyes narrowed some after a moment, his smile almost faded for whatever reason as he stared. "Too bad beauty is useless, " he gave an almost indignant huff at this, raked his claws back down to the floor and glancing to the side.
...Movement.
Fangmon blinked as he caught something from the corner of his eye, instinctively lowering himself into a crouch as if it would hide him. He just barely spotted BlackGuilmon as the rookie took off across the graveyard, faintly wondering if the other had seen him and took off...a thought that made him smile slightly. His delight over this slowly overwhelmed him; to the point where he found himself moving on before the thought could even process through his mind. This couldn't have been anymore perfect. This is exactly what he had asked for. How fun.
He started after BlackGuilmon, seeing no point in trying to keep himself hidden. Even if Fangmon hadn't been what the other was running from, he there was no reason to creep after him. Maybe he would if he wanted to mess with the smaller digimon's nerve... but from what he had seen, BlackGuilmon seemed freaked out enough already. Fangmon quietly hoped he had hadn't missed any of the fun or lost it to someone else. He'd be sad if he had.
Fangmon's toothy grin widened across his snout as he finally caught up to BlackGuilmon, tilting his head like a curious dog at the sight of the other's actions. "I have to know, is there a reason you're hiding like that?" The beast-like digimon was almost unable to keep his voice from cracking into a small giggle as he asked this, grinning still as his eyes fixated themselves on the other. This really was too perfect.

"I have to know, is there a reason you're hiding like that?"...That wasn't one of the whispers, this voice was completely new to him. However the way it sounded seemed almost similar to the whispers that tortured him so, making him freeze up and wonder what exactly he should do. BlackGuilmon thought maybe that he could just ignore the new voice and maybe the owner would leave him be, but there was also the idea that the owner might not take too kindly to being ignored... He didn't want to think about what might happen then. He didn't want to fight or get hurt or anything, he just wanted to get up and walk away from this place and to somewhere brighter where the voices would go silent. He knew he had to see who was there, no matter how terrified he felt over what it might be. Very slowly he peeked out from between his paws, his breath catching in his throat as he saw Fangmon. The virus digimon gave some sort of noise like a startled yelp as he quickly scrambled back from the other digimon, realizing this was one of the things he had feared... A stronger digimon who might intend to harm him. He was not a fighter and nowhere near digivolving to his next stage, he had absolutely no chance in a fight against Fangmon and the fact that he could be killed by the beast digimon scared him. "P-please don't h-hurt me..." He murmured in a nearly helpless and desperate tone, feeling a little like Fangmon most likely would not honor this request. There was just a certain look about the other that told him this, the way the other digimon smiled told him nothing good was about to happen to him. BlackGuilmon knew he should at least try to get up and run away, but he was simply shaking too hard to manage this and was stuck in the dirt.... The absolute worst place to be in a situation like this. He managed to move back from Fangmon a little more before he froze up again, wishing he had the courage to stand. The lizard like digimon could do nothing more than sit there, staring at Fangmon with pinprick pupils and wide scared eyes. He felt pathetic at the moment, just like when he had run from that stray attack all that time ago... And now it was like he was stuck in the forest as a Gigimon again, afraid and nearly defenseless. He had a brief idea of using one of his attacks to drive the beast digimon off momentarily and gain himself the chance to run away, but he was too scared to do so. He nearly sank back to the ground like he had been before, but he was even too afraid to make even such a small movement like that.

"P-please don't h-hurt me..."
"Heheh..."
How delightful this was! Fangmon was sure now he had stumbled upon something truly beautiful as he watched BlackGuilmon scramble back from him. He had never seen so much fear come from someone so soon. They hadn't even started to have fun yet! Fangmon would be smiling more if he could, but his grin was already starting to cause the corners of his mouth to ache. He just couldn't help himself though. Definitely not now...
There was no stopping it now.
Playtime.~
He didn't attack though, no what wouldn't be any fun. Instead he calmly and slowly circled around the side of BlackGuilmon, his eyes not once leaving the lizard-like digimon. A string of saliva dripped down from between his teeth and onto the ground, yet he took no notice as he moved. "Now then, why would I do a thing like that?" Fangmon's voice sounded anything but genuine, unable to contain a small fragment of a chuckle.
Fangmon paused once he was within a few feet of the BlackGuilmon, lowering his head some so it was more level with there other. There was a hunger in his eyes as they met BlackGuilmon's, one he was managing to hold back without the slightest slip. This was something he did well...and he didn't care if BlackGuilmon saw that.
"You never answered my question, you know." Fangmon spoke with a hint of amusement in his tone, "you're not hiding from me, are you?" The beast digimon stared still, the yellow irises of his eye growing as his pupils shrunk. It entertained and intrigued him that BlackGuilmon didn't even bother to run. Was he really that scared? Or did he know he didn't stand a chance. That he might as well accept his fate.
...Heh...
That last thought made him smile more than anything. Finally, someone who seemed to understand.
It's too bad Fangmon had no interest in making friends.

"Heheh..."BlackGuilmon felt an odd chill go through him at the laugh, causing him to issue a strange whimper and move back a little more. He watched is terrified silence as Fangmon circled him like a shark, turning his head at least so he could follow the other's movements... He must not let the other digimon out of his sight. He wasn't really sure why he felt the need to keep the other in his sights though, as he wasn't about to spring up and fight. That was not to say that if Fangmon attacked he would simply sit there and let it happen though, he would at the very least try to defend himself no matter how hopeless the situation seemed to him. "Now then, why would I do a thing like that?"The virus digimon could tell by the tone that Fangmon was playing with him almost, something that was starting to set the idea that he wouldn't get out of this alive nearly in stone. He was about to look around to see if they were really all alone when the beast digimon's eyes met his, and he couldn't help but notice the look in the other's eyes... Somehow it managed to scare him even further, and he managed to move a little further back from Fangmon. He managed to look around his surroundings, his eyes darting nervously about the dark place. Much like he expected he saw no one around to help him out of this, causing a touch of despair to start up within him. "You never answered my question, you know. You're not hiding from me, are you?"He gave a very faint shake of his head, as he had been hiding from his surroundings and not Fangmon. The lizard like digimon hadn't even know the other was there until he had shown himself, it didn't make sense for him to be hiding from something he didn't know what there. BlackGuilmon watched the beast digimon quietly, wondering what the other would do to him now... If he should even try to get up and run or not. He had a feeling he would be caught if he ran, and that there wasn't much of a point in that case. He felt terribly pathetic for just sitting there though, like he should be braver... He had heard before that the Guilmon species was especially good at combat, he should be able to fight well shouldn't he? He'd never know if he didn't try, and at the moment he was too scared to do so. BlackGuilmon didn't like being afraid though, he didn't like seeming helpless, like he had back in the forest. He was stronger now, if he was in danger then he should fight. Despite all these thoughts he had however, he still couldn't bring himself to attack.

☣ A N T Y L A M O N ☣ it's the devil's way now there is no way out you can scream and you can shout it is too late now
[/sup][/sub] "Fangmon..."
The tense atmosphere was suddenly stricken with what may as well resembled that of a soft instrument, a voice that had spoke gingerly to the champion digimon with the sound of heavy footsteps echoing throughout the graveyard.
A wave of darkness formed behind the fox and through came a giant rabbit, pulling herself out with both hands to enter as gracefully as she could manage. It was difficult to believe that a Harvester would go through the effort of making anything but an explosive entrance. But Antylamon managed. After all, she was the sole female of the group – and beauty and grace still had value to her.
Antylamon made her way over to the two digimon, towering over them with a look of displeasure. A pang of familiarity struck her once she locked eyes with BlackGuilmon, not even having to hear him speak to know that this had been the one who spent time speaking to her about their loneliness. The rabbit's heart softened almost immediately, but she had to keep an image of power when in the presence of a Shepherd. Without looking at him, her maw parted to speak to Fangmon. "Is there any particular reason you're harassing our brother?"
Antylamon glanced over her familiar, staring at his body which had been tainted with a color most unusual for Guilmon. She knew after conversing with the rookie that he had fallen victim to the same maleficence that touched her that fateful day where she slaughtered her fellow digimon in Primary Village. The memory left a sour taste in her mouth, but she felt a kinship with the other. Something that she wouldn't allow to be taken from her so soon.
"He has been baptized by the darkness." She began, glancing down at BlackGuilmon with an unreadable expression. It would be difficult for anyone to tell what she was thinking seeing that only her eyes were visible at this angle. But when she spoke it was with a thoughtful gentleness, as if she were honestly trying to keep her 'friend' from being destroyed by Fangmon. After a short pause, she turned to her loyal follower, looking down at him from the bottom of her eyes.
"At least show him some respect if you're planning to absorb his data."
No, Antylamon wouldn't admit a soft spot for anyone, especially in front of one of her loyal servants. She cared for them both, however, and to watch this scene unfold in a sense she'd lose a possible member of their little family would be less than ideal.
"On second thought..." The rabbit swayed in Fangmon's direction, suddenly throwing a large hand to grip around his skull and give it a terrible squeeze – as if threatening to crush it. "Perhaps I should show you what it's like to be on the receiving end of being weaker than what hunts you."
Hypocrisy at it's finest. Luckily for Antylamon she was sure to keep her origins a secret – not even NeoDevimon or Cerberumon knew of how she came to power. Of course she wouldn't kill Fangmon, Antylamon was confident that he understood the fine line between her form of punishment and her wrath. After all, she was a Harvester. The group may as well have been considered useless without their followers... but then again Antylamon saw no reason why to even affiliate with other dark digimon when she could easily kill them. After giving it some thought, she released Fangmon's snout and pulled her hand away, offering the fox a gentle smile.
"Now that wasn't very enjoyable, was it?"
The scary thing was – she was the most lenient of the three wicked ones.

Heh. This really was too easy. Far, far too easy. It was nearly disheartening for a moment, but Fangmon got over it quickly. He adapted to BlackGuilmon's overly frightened behavior and began to play with the thoughts of what it would take for the other to defend his life. Twisted and disturbing thoughts, all of which plagued his mind at once...though they were quickly disturbed...
"Fangmon..."
...That voice.
Fangmon's thoughts came to a stand still as he heard the almost gentle voice speak his name, ears swiveling back to display his slight confusion. Taking his eyes off his prey, he watched his master's entrance, unconsciously lowering his head upon her arrival as if to show his subordinate to her. However, he simply resisted another fit of giggles at the action, as this gesture was nothing more than ridiculous to him. Well, the Harvester's themselves were nothing more than ridiculous to him as well. What were they really? Nothing more than piles of data that had succumbed to the delusion of power...that's what Fangmon believed. And how wickedly amusing he believed it to be.
His expression was void of this thought however and he put up a look of faux respect as his gaze laid upon Antylamon. Ears glued back, he glanced to BlackGuilmon as he was noted to be a brother. That thing? He looked useless as a brother. He was nearly useless as a plaything as well, something that nearly made him snort as his superior told him to at least give the rookie respect if he intended to absorb his data. Respect...another ridiculous thi-
"On second thought..."
Fangmon froze as he felt a sudden pressure on his skull, giving a sharp and canine-like yelp out of surprise and nothing more. Drool dripped from his locked snout and his gaze settled on Antylamon as she spoke and continued to squeeze his head. Despite the desperate look he managed to put up...he felt a flash of excitement run through him as she did this. What would happen if she squeezed any harder? He supposed his head would be crushed and he found himself visualizing it as if in a daydream. It would have deathly frightened almost any other, but all he really wanted to do was laugh. Somehow snap his jaws open and unleash the feeling that had swelled up in the core of his chest, begging to be released as it twisted and tickled its way up into his throat and threatened to strangled him before Antylamon even had the chance to do it herself.
...However, Antylamon released his head before the outburst could surface, quickly going dormant once more.
"Now that wasn't very enjoyable, was it?"
It took all the restraint Fangmon had to keep from cracking a grin at this, instead shaking his pelt as if to get the feeling of Antylamon's grip off him. He lowered his head afterward, staring down at his claws as he did and giving a sharp exhale. "I was unaware of his alliances," Fangmon muttered, attempting to sound as genuine as possible.
Even if he had known, he wondered if it would have stopped him...quickly coming to the conclusion that it most likely woundn't have made a difference in the end. His eyes drifted to BlackGuilmon at this, simply staring at him coldly before the look softened and he offered the rookie a light smile. The scary thing was, it almost looked friendly...a look he somehow managed to pull off despite his treacherous appearance. It was frightening at best and he had a feeling it would more likely than not drive BlackGuilmon completely insane...
...or at least more than he already seemed to be.

"Fangmon..."...That voice... He knew that voice. BlackGuilmon took his gaze away from Fangmon to watch as Antylamon came from what he considered thin air, eyes transfixed on the ultimate digimon as she entered with a grace that most might have thought impossible for a being of her size. He felt his fear start to melt away some, as if her presence was enough to ensure that he would live through this. He didn't think he should show much more recognition other than looking up at her and to her eyes, after a moment staying where he was and curling his tail around himself. The malevolent whispers that tortured him had gone quiet for the time being, but he barely even noticed despite the fact he had been silently begging them to stop all this time. He felt some surprise as Antylamon called him a brother, not entirely aware of what she really meant by this... He knew that both himself and her were virus types, but he wasn't entirely sure about Fangmon. He risked a glance back at the beast digimon, managing to catch the look the other had given him. He curled his tail around himself a little bit more, both from the look and from the comment from Antylamon about absorbing his data. He wasn't going to let that happen, right? "On second thought... Perhaps I should show you what it's like to be on the receiving end of being weaker than what hunts you."BlackGuilmon gave an involuntary gasp as Antylamon took a rough hold of what he gathered to be her ally's head, trying not to think about how much that would hurt. He didn't feel afraid of the rabbit digimon for this though, most likely only because he had met and conversed with her before... He was certain that if this was their first encounter he would be beyond terrified, and would believe that his head would be crushed by that same hand. He watched in silence as the ultimate digimon took her hand away from the champion's head, his eyes going over Fangmon and then up to Antylamon for a moment. He still didn't say a word though, and stayed right where he was. "I was unaware of his alliances."He flinched back a little at the cold look, remaining unconvinced by the friendly nature of the smile Fangmon offered him after a moment. BlackGuilmon didn't really give any hints to how he felt over it though, merely just nodding a tiny bit for whatever reason. He still didn't move though, despite the fact he felt as if he should most likely stand. He still felt numb from the fear he had been experiencing and he really doubted he could stand right now, after a moment his eyes drifting down to the dirt.

☣ A N T Y L A M O N ☣ it's the devil's way now there is no way out you can scream and you can shout it is too late now
[/sup][/sub] After hearing her servant explain himself – Antylamon turned to face Fangmon, giving a soft 'hm' of approval and offering both him and BlackGuilmon a nod. Her red eyes fell back down to BlackGuilmon, the smile she had worn towards Fangmon slowly fading into a look of disapproval. It was most disappointing to see a digimon she had once admired cower in such a pathetic manner. "Fear is a rather ugly color on you, BlackGuilmon." she commented cooly, unafraid of bruising the digimon's feelings. After all, she had just saved his life–she didn't feel obligated to partake in pleasantries in his presence... especially in front of a Shepherd where she had to maintain a professional disposition. "Instead of groveling for your life next time our kind crosses your path, I suggest you fight like the rest of us have to."
The rabbit turned her attention back to Fangmon, gesturing to his prey with a large hand as she explained herself, "This digimon is under the protection of the Harvesters, Fangmon. If any harm comes to him from you, you will be forfeiting your life to them, understood?"
As much as she hated playing the deus ex machina, she knew that fate had led her to this location for a reason. BlackGuilmon was a valuable possible recruit, so something of a relief came to her when she discovered that he had been spared from her brother's bloodlust. After all, she had just been checking on what her servants had been up to – and just so happened to think of Fangmon at the time. The rabbit stepped across the graveyard, not seeming to notice the stones that marked some nearby graves were crushed beneath her feet.
Before she made her departure, she spoke again to the dragon digimon without looking at him – either as a friendly reminder or a warning. "You were very lucky just now. Don't expect anything like this to happen again." And with that, another dark portal opened and Antylamon went to grab alongside the opening, pulling herself through in hopes that there had been something more productive for her to concentrate her energy on.

If something seemed too good to be true...
...it usually wasn't.
The phrase swirled in Fangmon's mind as he watched his master depart, head lowered some and drool silently dripping from between his teeth and onto the ground beneath him. His gaze slide to BlackGuilmon once he was certain Antylamon had ventured off, giving the rookie a friendly smile that he knew would never fool a single soul.
"Heh...personally, I think fear is quite a lovely color on anyone," Fangmon said lowly, an almost silent set of giggles following each word as he spoke. He stepped to the side of BlackGuilmon, eyes searching him as if to figure out exactly what was so valuable about him. Valuable enough that his own life was set at equal value. In the end, he decided not to care, as it didn't really matter to him. The Harvesters did what they wanted and he wasn't going to question something so meaningless, giving a dismissive exhale and rising up to his full height once more.
"You know, even if you had fought back, it would have been pointless." Fangmon's ears perked as he said this, showing his crooked and pointed teeth as he gave a wide grin, "It's cute you figured it out all on your own. All the others usually took a while before they started pleading like that. But no...you're smarter than them, aren't you?"
He snickered mockingly, keeping his eyes on BlackGuilmon as he stepped back. Despite being denied the pleasure of actually harming him, his expression didn't mirror the frustration he felt, simply grinning as before like it hadn't phased him in the least. He wasn't going to let something like this bother him. No...not when he could already be off looking for something new to play with.
"Stay out of trouble brother. I'd hate to see someone else steal the fun from me," Fangmon spoke with a small hop as he turned to head off, practically prancing in the same way a puppy might when at play. It was annoying he didn't get to play with the rookie now that he got to think about it. After all, there was no rush. Sooner or later, he'd have his fun...nothing anyone said to him would change that.
It was just a matter of time.

The dragon digimon stayed silent as Antylamon looked at him, the disapproval he found in her gaze making him look down towards the ground in shame. Her words were like sandpaper on a blackboard to him, his ears wilting some as the words seemed to assault him. BlackGuilmon didn't like what he was hearing at all, all because he knew that it was true. He didn't know what to say at all in response to the ultimate digimon's words at all, and so he instead resolved to stay quiet instead of risking evoking her temper or something.
The rookie was very surprised to hear that he was under some sort of protection, blinking at the name Antylamon used... The Harvesters. He paused to try and remember if she had ever mentioned them before, but his memory was failing him at the moment. He had only spoke to the rabbit digimon twice before, and one of the times he seemed to recall something about a place that was meant for digimon like her and himself... But he just couldn't remember. It irritated him really that he couldn't remember, but there really wasn't anything he could do about it right now."You were very lucky just now. Don't expect anything like this to happen again."The dragon digimon felt something within him run cold at this final warning, watching as Antylamon disappeared exactly the way she had appeared. He had to wonder how exactly she did this, as he didn't think he had ever seen anyone else do that before. It was almost as if she could manipulate the very air at her will and fabricate a gate to wherever she wished to go. It was an impressive sight really, something he doubted anything else he'd ever see would compare to."Heh...personally, I think fear is quite a lovely color on anyone,"His attention snapped back to the beast digimon as Fangmon spoke, BlackGuilmon's eyes narrowing just a touch as he listened to the champion speak. He felt some of his fear starting to leave him though, since this digimon was forbidden to harm him... He was not as much of a threat anymore. He shifted slightly to sit up a little as the other digimon spoke to him, something about the words or tone feeling demeaning in a way to him. The rookie would have growled at Fangmon if he wasn't still shaking off the last of his fear, forced to just listen as the other went on."Stay out of trouble brother. I'd hate to see someone else steal the fun from me."BlackGuilmon nearly snorted at the beast digimon's words but refrained, not saying a word as the champion turned and pranced off. He watched in silence until Fangmon was out of sight, before shakily getting to his feet. It was quiet here again and the voices were starting to speak up again. He had to get out of here quickly, before they got as bad as they had been before all of the commotion.--- Continued in Outland
