With a loud cry, the smooth round house kick hit it's mark, causing the boy to fall sideways and onto the mat. It was interesting to see just how skilled Misaka had become over the years. When she had first started, she hadn't been able to make such swift transitions in her stances, yet now she did them with ease, almost to the point where it confused her opponents. Though the good news was whenever someone did face off against her, they were well taken care off afterwords. It was just the way she was, always helping people.
Sitting on her knees beside the boy she had apparently knocked unconscious, Misaka smiled sheepishly and apologized as she held an ice pack upon his face.
"Sorry about that...I didn't mean to hit you that hard...Are you going to be ok?"
It was a true statement. Anytime Misaka seemed to get into a fight, it almost as if another side of her personality took over. It wasn't the gentle and caring girl, but a fiery beast that seemed to be their opponent. This was one of things she had come here to work. Control over her emotions. While she had it, there was always room for improvement upon it.. As displayed by her actions.
"I think you'll be ok. But if you still feel light headed, I can take you to the nurse?"
Tilting her head to the side with a calm expression, the boy shook his head as he rose up and then smiled at her before thanking her and going over to get his towel. Watching him as he walked off, the young teen sighed as he fell over and landed once again upon the mat. The sight was enough to cause the girl to lowered her head and close her eyes with an embarrassed look on her face.
"Oh boy....."

Hair tied back into a simple ponytail and wearing the gi he customarily brought to club activities, Ryusuke sat with a number of other club members, legs crossed in a lotus position in front of him and leaning back against the wall, arms resting on his legs as he watched Misaka's match. Wincing momentarily as her opponent took a round house kick that knocked him over, a small, nervous smile coming to his face as he saw his opponent get shakily up to his feet, noting once again what a nasty technique the kick was. Most kicks were generally simple attacks that travelled in a straight line, trading speed for range and were usually easy to block, or were meant for distractions or disarming like the crescent kick. The round house kick was an entirely different matter, though, with the user bringing their thigh up and pivoting in place as their lower leg snapped out, preferably horizontal to the ground - it was meant purely to inflict damage, and while relatively slow it was a tricky thing to block or dodge once you you in range, and it didn't help the other kid that he was fighting one of the best in the class. While he still had at least two years seniority on her, Misaka was still one of the only two or three members who was able to keep up with him, with most of their matches ending in draws.
"Round house kick was probably a bit much, Misaka. It's not like he was going to get a hit in anyways." Ryusuke said absentmindedly, casually watching as her opponent took a few wobbly steps before keeling over again. Continuing to watch for a second or two for any sign of the other kid attempting to stand up, Ryusuke glanced at the other club members sitting against the wall alongside him before standing up himself, breathing out as he did when he saw none of them making any effort to help the kid.

Misaka looked up towards the boy and then rose off the ground to go assist in helping in to his feet. On her way towards his side, her attention was turned towards another club member by the name of Yagami Ryusuke. Ryusuke was two years older than her, but through the martial arts club the two of them had managed to become friends. That, and the fact that she was one of the few people that could keep up with him in a match. But even that usually depended on the day and on how many mistakes the teen left open for her to exploit.
But in hearing his comment about going somewhat overboard with the roundhouse kick, Misaka blushed slightly as she wrapped the unconscious boy's arm over her shoulder before hoisting him up and walking in towards the back wall.
"He came at me and I reacted Ryu...No more different than I would with you...."
Smiling as she set the boy down, the young girl placed her hands upon her hips while looking around for the smelling salt. With it, Misaka was hoping that it would be enough to bring the poor guy back to reality.
"Still your right...I should have just dodged and went with something more light....he might really be hurt"
The last thing she wanted was to hurt anyone ,especially when it could have been avoided. This very thought began to give her concern as she continued to search for the salt in order to revive the fallen club member.

Seeing that Misaka was closer and already moving to help the other student up, Ryusuke turned and began heading towards the back of the room where most of the equipment was kept, a hodgepodge of strike pads, punching bags, safety pads and other odds and ends, removing the thin adhesive padding from his right arm as he prepared to dig through the mess. While the martial arts club was many things, organized was not one of them - as it was the club advisor barely showed up for most of the meetings and activities, and usually only as a formality. While the club members themselves were mostly self sufficient and got on along without him, his disorganization seemed to spill over to the rest of the club as far as equipment keeping went, which meant that people more often than not had to dig through the mess when they were looking for something specific. As he began sifting through the various odds and ends for the smelling salt he heard her comment about simply reacting to her opponent coming at her, the weak grin from before returning to his face while she settled the other student against the wall behind him. In a way that was what made her such a dangerous opponent - she had lightning fast reactions, and in terms of speed she was the only one as fast as he was. What she didn't do, however, was scale back her reaction based on the opponent's attack, meaning that more often than not any offensive movement was met with a devastating reprisal that usually ended the match then and there. Finally locating the small bag of foul smelling powder, Ryusuke pulled it from the pile and stood up, nodding once to Misaka as he tossed it to her.
"Not saying he didn't have it coming for rushing in like that, though." Ryusuke said, walking back to the rest of the club members and looking down at the other student, still knocked out cold. "Someone should probably get him to the nurse after he wakes up though. Probably not a concussion since I don't think you hit his head, but not a good idea to risk it."

Catching the bag of salt that was tossed, Misaka sighed as Ryu stated that the guy had it coming for rushing in. Even if he did, that didn't make her kicking him all the more acceptable, especially since it might have badly hurt him. Sighing as she closed her eyes, the girl knelt back down beside the boy, opening the bag and holding it under the student's noise. Waiting, the teen soon starting showing signs of life, relieving Misaka to no end as she grinned towards him. As the boy looked around almost in a daze, the other students heard Ryusuke's suggestion and seemed to be in agreement as two of them walked over to help the boy up and began to move him out towards the nurse's office.
Watching them leave, the short haired girl sighed as she rested her back against the wall, looking up towards the ceiling.
"This is exactly why we need a better advisor. That or...maybe I need to just do all my matches with pads from now on...."
Smiling a bit, Misaka wondered if the boy would fair well. Though she didn't recall hitting him directly in the head, she was certain that she had come close. That in mind, she was completely at fault if something did go wrong. Though from what she could, the student appeared to be fully aware and capable of seeing her. She noticed that as soon as he began blushing quickly. While it didn't help her feel all that better, the girll giggled lightly as she remembered that expression on his face. [/blockquote]

Likewise watching the other two students leave with the third dazed one, Ryusuke's head turned slightly as Misaka's sigh caught his attention, glancing down at her momentarily before moving to go pick up the adhesive padding he'd discarded with the intention of putting it back onto his arm, doing so with each piece he picked up, noting the slight irony in her last statement as he did so.
"Pads would probably help if any of us bothered to clean up that mess since we do have them, it's more that no body bothers using them. As for our advisor, no use complaining about that since we'd run the risk of the club getting shut down if it ever got out how often he isn't here. You make due with what you have." Ryusuke said in a relaxed tone, casually sticking the past pads onto the top of his knuckles and fingers, flexing them afterwards to make sure they wouldn't come off unless something pulled them off. Satisfied that they were securely in place again and lowering his arm, Ryusuke turned around to face the other students before slowly walking back over.
"Alright, so who's up next?" Ryusuke asked, glancing them over. When the advisor wasn't there that was pretty much how it worked - matches were chosen based on both who wanted to spar and whether or not you were too tired, rather than the teacher picking the matches.

As much as Misaka didn't like it, Ryusuke was right. The fact that they still had a club was because none one talked about how unavailable the advisor was. If it had been known, the martial arts club would have been shut down by now. Thankfully, everyone here didn't want that to happen, so each member was careful and looked after one another. It wasn't a perfect system and things did happen from time to time, but they always made sure to ensure that everything that could be done was done here before going to a nurse. The only thing they usually received when that happened was a warning as to being more careful.Which wouldn't be the case if they had used pads more often. But, no one really wanted to clean up after it. While Misaka had done so a few times, everyone seemed more content on just working without them. Well, that was everyone except for Ryusuke, though his reasons were more for the safety of others rather than himself. With his mechanical limbs, it was easier for him to hurt someone if he wasn't careful. Which was why he always wore padding before a match.
As she looked towards the young man as he asked who wanted to go next, she smirked when she saw that there were very few volunteers at the moment. Many were either intermediate or didn't feel like being sore from taking on the skilled fighter.
"I guess I can go again...But I think I'll be wearing padding this time. The last time we did this, I had to ice my wrist for a week..."
Smiling as she began putting on her equipment, the young teen soon got into a fighting stance as she looked towards Ryusuke from her side before putting in her mouth piece.

Grinning as Misaka offered to be his opponent, Ryusuke simply nodded and moved to stand a few feet in front of her as she slipped in her mouth guard, waiting for her to finish putting the rest of her padding on as he stood in place. While he wasn't exactly happy about the state of his right arm and left leg, he did have to admit that it came in handy at times, martial arts club being one of them - while it felt rather cheap at first, his right arm and left leg were excellent for blocking blows when padded, and meant that he usually didn't need to worry about padding the rest of his body since he used a styles that were mostly built around open hand strikes and the redirection of motion rather than the stopping of it. Once Misaka was finished putting her gear on, Ryusuke held his arms to his side and stood straight, making a short bow but never taking his eyes off of her before straightening up again and stepping back into a sei san stance, his left leg behind him and arms up in an open handed guard, clearing his mind as he focused on her while still paying a decent amount of attention to his peripheral vision, not willing to make the same mistake her last opponent had with allowing tunnel vision to assert itself.

Bowing towards Ryusuke in the same fashion he had towards her, the girl returned to her stance with her right foot behind her and her left foot forwards. It wouldn't be so easy this time as it had been before, because Ryu wouldn't give her any easy openings to use against him. It was how it always was with him. The guy seemed to always have very few cracks in his defense and it made it hard for anyone to really move in on him. While Misaka was sure of her speed, it didn't mean anything if she got too close and within range of one of his strikes.
Breathing out the sides of her mouth guard, the girl lightly bounced on the balls of her feet before extending her right hand out as a guard while keeping her left close to her face. The fight hadn't even started physically, but she was still mentally analyzing the situation. Relaxed as she was starting to become, her mind was still trying to calculate very possible move available to her.
Can't get too close....But maybe I can catch him off guard with some distant assaults...
It was risky, but sometimes risks had to be taken. Inching in close, Misaka swiftly switched her footing and stance so that it was the opposite of before, delivering a quick right footed round house towards Ryusuke's left side

Grin diminishing somewhat as Misaka took her stance, Ryusuke noted that it mirrored his rather than having her forward foot on the side he had back, which while not a really a problem would still make blocking and dodging somewhat awkward for him. Carefully shifting his stance, Ryusuke slowly began moving sideways to try and place himself on Misaka's left side, attempting to move towards what was traditionally the sei san stance's blind spot while very well aware that he was allowing her to do the same as he moved. As she began bouncing up and down slightly Ryusuke forced himself to keep his attention on her center of mass rather than her head, something that most fighters did when their opponents began making such movements. Misaka was anything if not skilled, and while he could match her speed it was her reach he would have to worry about - Misaka had more range than he did and she knew it, which meant she'd probably start off the fight with kicks rather than trying to move in close.
Ryusuke was not disappointed. As she moved in closer he immediately knew what was coming since most kicks could be performed from where she'd been standing, and he immediately acted accordingly. As her leg came up and she began to pivot in place Ryusuke darted forward to close the short distance between them, his right hand coming up to hold her knee in place. As he attempted to move inside of her guard he put his right leg forward, attempting to hook it behind her forward left leg and pushing forward with his free right hand with the intent of performing a take down while she was still off balance in the middle of her kick.

Every risk had it's fall back, and Misaka was seeing the fall back of her own. Feeling the grip upon her knee after having outstretched it, Ryusuke was swift in moving in close and attempting to perform a take down by knocking her off the one leg that was left holding her up. This fight was already going in a direction that wasn't favoring her. If something wasn't done quickly, she'd be on the ground under him and the fight would be over before it had even begun. But if there was one thing the young teen wasn't, it was a quitter.
Feeling herself falling back under the weight being pushed upon her by the teen's right hand, Misaka quickly braced herself for the impact with the floor and held her hands up in defense. If she could get a good punch in from this range, she would possibly be able to get him off. With one hand holding her leg, he was pretty much open for such a strike. So in attempt to free herself, the girl sent two quick jabs towards the boy's face.

Having realized that his counter to her round house kick would leave him wide open to the other student's own counter, Ryusuke was mentally prepared for the strikes but ill equipped to physically deal with it due to their respective positions. Applying even more force behind his right hand, Ryusuke attempted to push away from her as soon as her saw her shoulders shift in his peripheral vision, thankful that he'd made an effort to pay attention to it since the start of the fight as he blocked the first jab with his once again free hand and took a graze to the cheek from the second. With both of his feet still positined firmly on the floor if admittedly slightly off balance, Ryusuke instinctively pushed off of her shoulder to attempt to right himself, nearly stumbling as he did so but using his hold on her leg as he stood up right to balance himself as he pulled the leg that was still hooked around her left back - rather than attempting to complete a take down that would risk leaving him open, he was instead going to try and pull the leg out from underneath her. Still exercising caution and paying attention to all of her limbs, Ryusuke moved to execute the technique.

As Misaka managed to get one hit in, she was still underneath him and unable to move with her legs pinned as they were. But Ryusuke seemed to see that his situation was bad for him and backed up from her in an attempt to right himself. Though as he began to move his leg from around hers, Misaka saw this as a chance to make her move. If she could knock him back onto the ground, she could use her still captured leg as a means to knock the breath out of him. Of course, that would require allowing him to unhook his leg from around hers. That also meant waiting somewhat, which might leave her open.
Great...Another long shot...
Though there weren't too many choices available and she needed to get the upper hand soon. So as Ryusuke began to pull his leg from under her, Misaka quickly shifted her position so that she was laying on her side. From that point, she attempted to place the now free leg behind his own. Then, she tried to use the captured limb as a means to push him to the side and possibly trip him over onto his side.

Although he generally enjoyed the challenge as well as the fact that Misaka had never ever dreamed of going easy on him despite his apparent disability, Ryusuke was beginning to get bored of the tug of war game that was developing out of their match. It was a nice change up from the usual routine, but the fact remained that it was getting old fast and that neither of them was going to win the round if things continued at the rate they were going. Realizing that Misaka was beginning to attempt what he'd originally planned from the start, a small grin inched onto his face as an idea popped into his head - probably not the most ideal method of ending the fight since it could go very wrong if he screwed it up, but worth trying nonetheless since he couldn't imagine her thinking he'd attempt it due to their difference in size.
As her leg began to pull his out from under him Ryusuke moved in the direction she was intending to have him fall, remaining in a position to face her as he began to fall backwards. As he began to do so he reached out with his right hand to grab a fistfull of her gi right above her left collarbone, intending to pull her down with him as he lifted the leg she was pulling at to try and plant his foot in her midsection while he fell. With any luck it'd be a perfect sacrifice throw, with him landing on his back and sending her over his shoulders to land on her back behind him.

It hadn't exactly been a easy fight, and now it seemed like it wasn't going to even become a fight. Through their entire match, one move seemed to have started a grappling match between them. But it seemed that in the end, her own opportunity had been intercepted and before she knew it, Misaka was laying on her back beside Ryusuke. Breathing slowly, the girl closed her eyes and sighed as she looked towards Ryu and smirked. It was always fun sparring with him, because something usually happened to change the pace of their fights. This time not being an exception and she hadn't seen it ending like this.
"You know you came close to grabbing something other than my gi right?"
Giggling as she sat upright, the girl rested her hands on her lap before holding her hands up. It usually wasn't like her to give up, but after two matches, and the last one being one of strength, she was exhausted.
"I give up...You win this one Ryu..."
