It just goes on and on. Sakura thought as she leaned over her math homework. She always got good math grades, but the problem lay in the fact she couldn't do it very fast. Each problem took several minutes to solve, and combined with her actual distaste of the subject, it just seemed to go on forever!
Her homework was even more frustrating than usual today. With her little brother off on a sleepover with his new friend, this was one of the few chances she had to relax, but she just couldn't win here. At the very least, she could do her homework in peace, but homework was never very fun.
Sakura's home reflected her parent's wealth. It's a decently large home, and from the outside looks like what most would imagine when they think of a modern style lake-side home. Outside one can see it has three floors, a deck on the third floor as well as a balcony surrounding the half of the second floor which overlooks their swimming pool area.
Inside there was the basics, kitchen, dining room, living room. There were also three bathrooms in the house, four bedrooms, one of which had been converted into into a study which Sakura was currently occupying. Then there was also a basement, containing both the laundry room and a rec room.
The sun was setting outside, and there was a slight drizzle of rain coming down. The house was peaceful though, and Sakura had it pretty much to herself this evening. Her brother gone for tonight, her mother out with one of her own friends, and her father was on another of his long absences for work. The only other person in the house right now was their houseworker, who was currently in another room, probably cleaning up the kitchen or something.
Sakura's eyes drifted from her homework to the telephone that laid on her desk. She was left with the responsibility of answering calls in case her brother phoned home. She had heard nothing from him so far though, and she wondered if she should call and see if things were going well over there. She decided to give them a call, picking up the phone she dialed in the numbers that had been written on a notepad next to the phone.
"Dominos Pizza, what can I get ya?"
Sakura resisted the urge to curse. "I'm sorry, I got the wrong number." She said, hanging up the phone. She looked at the note the number had been written down on, it had the friend's name Yamashita Kazai written very clearly above the number. Of course her brother had to take every chance to push everyone's buttons. Sighing she picked up the phonebook instead. She'd get the number, one way or another...

So much for that! As if Ryu even cared, stupid Kazai, he would just figure this problem out without her help. "Tch, who needs her anyway," it likely seemed as though he was muttering to himself, but in reality the boy was muttering at the creature in his bag. The thought had only struck him after he'd already left Kazai's house, but... DemiMeramon probably hated him for taking him away from his sister... No point in thinking on it further though, it was already done.
Dark grey clouds set in overhead and Ryutaro frowned as he stared up at the sky. The rain was an annoyance, especially considering the distance he had to walk to get to his house from where he had been. He had even known ahead of time about the predicted weather for this time of the day, yet the preteen carried no umbrella, nothing.
At that point, rain began to fall in a drizzle. It wasn't a downpour... yet... but when he realized he still had a ways to go before he was home, he decided to break into a run. The backpack bumped up and down against Ryutaro's back, knocking its contents around and every which way.
Confused at first at the sudden change in pace, DemiMeramon poked his head out of the backpack flap for a brief time to see what was the matter. The digimon's mouth opened to speak, intending to tell the human that he wasn't an object to be rattled around in a bag like this... but then a large drop of rain landed on his head, and then another, and another... and immediately the fireball's mouth snapped shut and he fled back into the dryness of the backpack.
Finally! Ryutaro let out a sigh of relief as he grabbed the doorknob to his house. It turned and he rushed inside to escape the rain, slamming the door behind him much harder than was necessary. His shoes had tracked muddy water in through the door... but that much he had not noticed. The water currently running down from his damp hair onto his face was a bit more noticeable.
"Ah, welcome to my house," he spoke toward the hidden digimon. It was a bit... different from the Yamashita house, and Ryutaro was pretty sure that anyone who knew him wouldn't guess that he had come from a family that could own a nice place such as this.

Sakura scanned the phonebook, fingers sliding over the page as she located Yamashita in the listings. There were a couple numbers under the same family name, she'd have to try one and hope she got the right one. At least, the odds were with her that even if she did get the wrong number, who ever she got would likely be able to push her in the right direction.
She had nearly finished dialing the first number when when Sakura heard the door open and then slam shut. That couldn't have been Nanna-san. She thought, thinking of their house worker. She wasn't one to slam doors and she didn't usually leave so early either. Then she heard her brother speak up, welcoming someone into the house, and her hackles raised. He brought his friend here? Without calling? Good grief.
Sakura poked her head out of the study, looking down the hallway to the front entrance where Ryutaro stood, wet and muddy, here expression angry. "If you were goin--" She cut off when she realized her little brother had in fact not brought his friend, or anyone for that matter with him. He was quite alone. "Eer... Wait, who were you talking to?" She asked in confusion.
This was bizarre behavior, even for her brother. She had never known him for talking to himself, or inviting non-existant people into their house. "You know, you could have called or something. Nanna-san would have picked you up you know." She said, grabbing a towel that hung in the closet and drying his hair off with it. "So, what happened to your sleep over? I was looking forward to a peaceful night" She said, adding in the last bit more jokingly, attempting to lighten the mood up a bit.
For the moment, she let the whole wrong number thing slip. She'd let her mother sort that one out when she got home. Right now it seemed things had gone badly with his friend, and seemed unhappy enough already.

"Sis...?!" Why was he acting surprised? He had known she was the only one of his family members who going to be home tonight... For her to sit home and have a boring night of studying and... well, whatever else it was that she liked to do, while he dealt with DemiMeramon, and mom and dad were both out. Regardless of what he had already known, that didn't stop the surprise from showing clear on his face, she'd heard him talking to the digimon.
"Oh, just uh... no.. one?" bringing this strange creature into the house, it was sort of like the equivalent of him bringing in a stray kitten or puppy, neither of which his parents would be pleased with. So with this thing, that talked and spoke of other worlds, Ryutaro couldn't imagine the level of trouble that it would get him into. And what with Sakura being his sister, he was sure she would tell their parents if she found out.
Usually, when he wanted to go somewhere, he walked. He hadn't thought of the housekeeper, back when he was over Kazai's house. Although a simple phone call could have spared him and his clothes. "I like walking," just not in the rain... Ryutaro shrugged away the fact that Sakura was drying his hair off for him.
"Nothing happened. She's impossible to work with, so I left," he complained about Kazai, missing his sister's joke entirely.
The last time DemiMeramon was in his backpack was on the way to Kazai's house, and it hadn't liked the small cramped space very much then. Ryu began to worry about that important detail, but he had to be somewhere alone before he could let the digimon out! Somewhere such as his room... out here in the hallway would him do no good with Sakura watching.
Something on the inside of his backpack made it shift around briefly, DemiMeramon was growing too impatient! "I'll go to my room and I won't bother you...!" Ryu blurted out quickly, intending to escape his sister before the digimon 'alerted' him of his presence again.

Sakura had only smirked when he looked at her in surprise. Come on, he didn't think he was going to sneak into the house while slamming the door like that and speaking out loud like that? Then there was still the mystery of who he speaking to, her brother's response was hardly satisfactory. "No one? Really?" She questioned, her expression scrutinizing as she tried to think of what her brother could be doing. Maybe he was taking a new angle? Making her think he was going crazy? Maybe he was going crazy.
Well, that reminds me of someone. She thought when Ryutaro when on to complain about his friend being too difficult to work with. "That's too bad." She said sympathetically. She had more than enough experience with difficult work partners, and constantly pondered why teachers assigned such work. Either the most adept partner was going to take full charge of the work, or the weaker link would drag the more adept partner's grades down. Thinking about it, it sounded like a good topic for the debate team. Might have to drop that suggestion by the debate team leader sometime.
Then suddenly, Ryu's bag started moving, or rather, something inside it was moving. Her brother obviously noticed too, and had quickly blurted out an excuse to leave. "You won't bother me." She repeated in a doubtful drone. Yeah, Sakura wasn't born yesterday. Her eyes narrowed at her brother. "Okay what are you hiding in your bag? You know Mom doesn't like pets in the house." She asked accusingly, towering over her brother, with her feet planted as she stood in his way, making it clear she wasn't going to let him move until he revealed the animal he had stuffed in his bag.

"Ehh..." Sakura was blocking him. It wasn't his fault though, he didn't want to have to lie. He was bad at it, clearly, so why would he choose to even try unless what had to be hidden was something really really big. If it was true that there was some mysterious world beyond their own, where this digimon came from, then this was all far bigger than him.
"It's not a pet, it's uhh part of the chemistry project I was working on," thinking back on what Kazai and her sister had been discussing, Ryu had now become somewhat afraid that if too many people found out, it could jeopardize DemiMeramon's very existence!
But this was his sister...
And she wasn't going to believe a word he was saying if he kept going on like this...
"Seriously, Sakura, this is really important I think... Promise you won't tell anyone? Not even mom or dad."

Sakura stood firm as her brother went on about it being a chemistry project. It was this chemistry project which was his excuse to go over to his friend's house. Something she hadn't been completely keen to accept, seeing as getting him to do homework on his own was like pulling teeth. Of course, being with her parents on the desire for Ryutaro to do better in school she had given him the benefit of the doubt then. She might have considered it here too, if he wasn't acting so shifty.
"Well, if it's your chemistry project, then how about you show it to me?" She said, making it blatantly clear how doubtful she was of his explanation. Really, she just wanted him to let whatever animal he had hidden in his backpack go. Poor thing was probably suffocating in his bag. Really, what was he thinking? She'd like to have a cat or a dog or something too, but fur flies no matter what and Mom would not have the house covered in pet hair.
Then suddenly, something about her brother changed. A shift in his tone, his body language... This wasn't the mischievous little brother that was trying to play games with her. He said he was serious, and he really genuinely looked serious. It really did seem like he would tell her without a fight. Of course though, there was a catch. No telling Mom or Dad. Her expression grew solemn. "I can't promise I won't tell Mom or Dad anything."
Now, whats with this 'important' shtick? He really did seem desperate to hide whatever he was hiding. At least from their parents anyways. Yet he came so close to confiding his secret to her. That was particularly off. He did something bad, she made sure Mom and Dad knew about it. Any sense would have killed any trust he had in her as far as keeping his wrong doings secret from their parents.
Is he trying to do something for them? She thought. She was sure that was some sort of animal in his bag, and he would have known far better than to think their parents would be happy he brought it home. She sighed. "Ryu-chan, just let it out of the bag. The only thing I can promise is that we'll do what's best for whatever cute critter you got in there." She asked. This was the last time she was going to ask nicely though. The cat was coming out of the bag whether he liked it or not.

Such a tattletale, he should have given up on telling her about his secret right then and there. Too much would happen if their parents found out, he was certain of it! Forget what they might do to him, it was the weird little creature that brought the most concerns to his mind.
Honestly, Ryutaro was reconsidering his options right about now. He could potentially leave back through the door the way he came in, since his sister was blocking his way down the hallway. Or, then again, there was still the truth. That was an option, and he chose it, as much as he knew he was about to regret it... "It isn't really that cute..." he pulled the straps of his backpack off his shoulders and held it out in front of his chest.
Might as well just show her, he figured. Ryu didn't know if it would shock her or anything, but in his own chest he could feel his heart racing for a reason unknown to him. Could he really be worrying this much about a creature he had met only a few hours ago? It was now or never, his hand moved toward the top of the backpack, and lifted the flap off the top to reveal what had been hidden inside.
A ball of fire, with bright blue eyes stared up and out of the bag. He seemed confused at first, as he immediately saw the face of yet another human female. DemiMeramon happily took in a deep breath of air that was fresh when compared to the stuffiness that was inside Ryu's backpack. "Ah. Much better," the expression on the creature's face almost seemed to have taken the shape of a smile. While the look on the boy's face was a nervous smile.

Sakura in all honesty, expected him to run. To make one last desperate bid to keep his secret a secret. Not that it would do him much good. The door was closed, and by the time he turned around and put his hand on the door knob, her hands would be on his bag, and he wouldn't be getting out without it. She was going to find out what was in the bag. Whether it was the easy way or the hard way, was all up to her little brother.
Surprisingly, it was not the hard way at all. He didn't turn to run, he didn't try and barge past her, he simply let his bag slide off his shoulders, and brought it forward. He unzipped the zipper, and opened the bag up to reveal it's contents. Sakura was expecting a cat to jump out, or a puppy to poke its head out of the bag. Heck, a hamster, rat, toad, SQUIRREL, anything she could think of would have been far more expected what she did lay eyes on.
What she did lay eyes on, looked like a large hamster on fire, and the moment she saw it, she couldn't help it. She let out a shrill, terrified scream that echoed down the hallway. First thought was that he had bought a hamster and set it on fire. Of course sense took over rather quickly -- his backpack would have been burning the whole time they were sitting there talking, and the 'hamster' certainly wouldn't be alive, speaking, and smiling at her.
"Sakura-sama!? What happened, are you alright?"
Of course, her scream hadn't gone unnoticed, and the houseworker had shouted worriedly at her. "It was just a spider! Ryu-chan killed it." She shouted back. Sakura watched the end of the hall apprehensively, hoping Nanna-san wouldn't turn the corner. Right now, she had barely any time to even digest the fact that her brother had brought home some strange flaming creature. She didn't want anyone else getting involved in this if she could help it, at least until she understood what the heck she was looking at.
"Very well Sakura-sama." The house worker said, going back to her work.
Sakura breathed out a sigh of relief, before turning back to her brother. "To your room now." She said, the shock still not vanishing from her eyes. She followed him upstairs to her brother's room quietly, closing his door behind them before taking a seat on his bed, her gaze fixed to her brother's bag and the flaming creature within it. "Why did you bring that thing home? It could be dangerous!" Right now, that was her biggest concern. What was he thinking? It was on fire! The whole house could burn down!

"Hnah," he winced away as the girl screamed. And boy, did her scream carry, it seemed as though it could be heard down the hallways, throughout the house, and he wouldn't be surprised if the whole darn street had just heard her! Ryu protectively pulled DemiMeramon closer to his chest. "Shh, be quiet, don't scream c'mon. Nanna will hear--"
Too late.
Although it turned out well anyway, Sakura had managed to divert the housekeeper's attention away from them with a quick little lie. Phew, thankfully the older woman hadn't seen the digimon, now that would have been bad.
The boy had been so freaked out by his sister's reaction, that he simply obliged and made his way up to his room while she followed along behind him. He ran up the stairs, still clutching DemiMeramon and his bag against his chest.
As soon as they had set foot inside, the boy turned and shut the door. They didn't need the woman to overhear any of this so long as they could help it. A sigh escaped his lips then, he needed to calm himself if he was going to be able to answer all the questions Sakura had... assuming he could even answer them. It wasn't as though he really knew much about these creatures. "No, I don't think DemiMeromon is dangerous or anythin'. And... he says he's my partner or something, he sorta became my responsibility... I couldn't just leave him."
"DemiMeramon, human. And had it not been for you, I would have found my way back to my own world by now."

Sakura sat there quietly, her gaze fixed on the little fireball thing as Ryutaro responded to her question, and the fireball corrected him, as well as snapped at him for apparently hindering his efforts to return to his own world. The fireball is called DemiMeramon, supposedly not dangerous, says he's Ryu-chan's 'partner' and Ryu decided to take responsibility for it, and it's now trying to get back to it's own 'world'. Sakura thought, repeating the general information her brother and the creature had given her.
Her brother's assurance that the thing was safe, didn't really make her feel any more safe. Really, what did he know about this thing? "How can possibly know it's not dangerous?" Sakura shot back, feeling somewhat scared by this who deal. "What the heck do you mean by partner? This thing could be planning to drag you into it's world with it so it can eat your brains or something." She went on, still quite alarmed.
Sakura wasn't normally paranoid, she was usually anything but. It just wasn't every day you encountered a creature from another world that you knew absolutely nothing about. Her brother had brought home some strange creature, and she really did not know what the appropriate action was. Calling the police came to thought, but what would they do to the creature? What came to her mind were thoughts of things very unpleasant. If she told their parents, they'd probably hand it in to the police too. As much as she didn't want herself or her brother to have to deal with this thing, and regardless of what it's intentions were, she couldn't be that cruel.
Whatever the case, it seemed like the DemiMeramon was now keen on getting back to it's own world, and if he could get home without dragging them along with it, that was better for all of them. "DemiMeramon, if you can get back to your own world, you are more than welcome to." Sakura said to the fire ball. "Just how do you get back to your own world? What world do you come from?" Sakura fired off a couple more questions. She was still nervous about the creature, but the more you knew, the better right?

"Well uhh..." come to think of it, Ryutaro wasn't entirely sure what the two digimon had meant by saying they were Ryu and Kazai's 'partners'. In his head, he thought that it might mean they were two people being forced to work together... not unlike the situation he and Kazai had been thrown into earlier. The two of them had been made to work together to figure this thing out, sort of like... partners. This creature then, it was his partner too until the two of them could find a way to get it back to its own world.
"I'm not sure, just... trust me. And look, he can't be dangerous, it doesn't even hurt," the boy removed DemiMeramon from his backpack at that point, letting it fall to the floor as he held the digimon out toward his sister. The flames felt warm but they certainly weren't burning his skin, and aside from that, he didn't see what else Sakura could be worrying about.
Nor was he afraid of DemiMeramon dragging him into his world and 'eating his brains' as his sister so colorfully described. If the digimon could do that, he would have done it by now! The whole point was to get it back to its world. DemiMeramon couldn't figure out how to get home on his own, he just needed some help. Although Ryu was also pretty sure that the digimon had given up on the whole 'partner' idea hours ago, the fireball had already decided that he could find his way back home without a human slowing his efforts.
"Oh believe me, I will! I just, have to figure out how to first..." DemiMeramon grunted, thought about it, there had to be a way. He didn't know how to get home per say... but it couldn't be that hard. He just needed some food. Yeah, some food so he could think properly. "Is there food here? I haven't eaten since before my sister and I arrived," the digimon poked his gaze up toward Ryutaro.
"Yeah, of course there is..." he saw the digimon's eyes turn from curious to serious almost immediately, as though he was ordering Ryu to retrieve said food from the kitchen. The boy felt a rumbling in his stomach at that moment, he had not eaten in a while either.
He placed DemiMeramon on the bed near Sakura, and knelt down to pick up his backpack. "I'll be right back!" Ryu informed them hastily, he ran the span of his room from the bed to the door, dropping his not entirely empty bag onto the computer desk before turning the doorknob. The strange device that had appeared in his hand around the same time that the fireball had first appeared, tumbled out of his bag and onto the desk. Ryu didn't notice, he shut the door and went downstairs.
Now that his needs were being taken care of, the digimon's attention turned toward the girl. "I come from the Digital World. Clearly, because I am a digimon... And for the record, I don't eat brains."

Sakura's eyes widened as Ryutaro grabbed the creature out of his bag. Was he crazy? It was on fire, it would burn him! Before she could protest though, her brother already had his hands on it, and astonishingly, it didn't appear to hurt him at all. "You are really alright?" She asked, staring curiously at the creature, but still not keen on approaching the thing. By all logic, her brother's hands should have been burned off by now. Heck, the contents of his bag should have been burnt to a crisp. This creature just defied all sense of logic.
Upon learning that neither of them knew how to get the DemiMeramon back to it's own world, Sakura sighed. This just couldn't be simple could it? Oh, and it had a sister too, so there was more than one of this thing too. At least the sister wasn't here to double the issue anyways. Sakura could only guess that said sister was now with Ryu's friend. That certainly explained why they had planned their little sleepover, even though it obviously ended badly.
Inevitably, the DemiMeramon started complaining about being hungry. Now that raised a question. What exactly did a talking fireball eat? Fire burns oxygen... but if oxygen was enough to satiate it, hunger wouldn't be a problem now would it? Sakura let Ryutaro take care of this issue, as his guess would likely be as good as anything she could think of. Hopefully it was something DemiMeramon could eat, because otherwise it'd have to do without until they could find a way to get it back to it's own world.
Sakura hadn't really thought much on being left alone with the creature. It really only made her more nervous. It probably would take some time to get used to this thing, but if things went to plan, she wouldn't have to worry about getting used to it at all. "Clearly to you maybe." She responded when the fireball answered her question about it's world. "And okay. Sorry about that." She apologized. Well, it didn't seem hostile at least.
For a moment, Sakura only sat there, letting her gaze shift around the room, though she still darted glances at the DemiMeramon from time to time. Her brother sure was taking a while. What was he doing, making a three course meal? Her attention however, was soon directed to her brother's computer monitor. Wasn't it off when we came in? She thought as the computer began flashing. She got up, also noticing a less familiar device had fallen out of her brother's bag. Where did he get this? She thought, puzzled. It was on and flashing too. Some sort of remote for the computer maybe?
Before she had more time to think on the gadget though, the light coming from the computer screen suddenly got brighter, and next thing Sakura knew, something had fallen out of it. Sakura jumped back, staring the thing that had landed on the floor. It looked like a blue tiger head, with a tail. "Is that another digimon too?" She asked, between exasperation and panic. Where were these things coming from? Were there more too?
The tiger head had remained motionless on the floor for a moment, somewhat dazed after traveling between worlds only to fall face flat on the floor. She soon rolled herself back up though, and looked up at the human who was to be her partner. "Uhm, yes, I am a digimon. My name is Wanyamon." She said, hopping back a step when she saw Sakura's reaction to her. Well, this was disappointing. She wasn't expecting to be welcome with open arms, but this human looked scared of her.
Sakura, backed up, falling into a sitting position back on Ryu's bed. She was having difficulties just getting her head around one strange creature from another world, but now there was two! She looked back to the computer, but it, and the device Ryu had left on the table, but both had shut down shortly after Wanyamon's arrival. "Just let this be a dream!" She complained, falling backward, only to hit her head on the wall. "OW!"

Down in the kitchen, Ryutaro gathered what he could. He found cold cuts in the refrigerator, turkey and cheese, and used it to make three sandwiches. He set two of the sandwiches onto one plate, and the last sandwich into its own plate. He noticed the brownies after, grabbed the entire container of them and brought those along with him too as he journeyed back up the stairs to his room.
Bumping first against the door, and then strategically reaching down to turn the knob, Ryu finally made it back into his room. It closed again with a small shove from the heel of his foot, while his eyes wandered, only to hear his sister crying out in pain about something. "What're you--" He cut himself off, unable to believe what he was seeing right now. What the... and when did his monitor... a blue-furred creature... seriously?!
"Nooooo! What did you do?!" Ryu cried at his sister in distress. From the monitor, to Sakura, and finally to DemiMeramon, his eyes darted between all of them, baffled. He plopped the plates of food onto his bed near DemiMeramon and ran over to the newcomer on the floor. But Ryu was so stunned that he just allowed himself to fall backward onto the floor and he sat there, staring at the creature. The third digimon to randomly appear, and all in the same day?! What the heck was going on.... "This is the opposite of what we wanted, Sakura-chan," he spoke in a tone that seemed to be a mixture of annoyance and disbelief.
DemiMeramon, however, wasn't particularly surprised. Why not? After all, he and his sister had shown up, so there were bound to be more digimon making appearances! What did these human think? That there were only two digimon in the whole digital world? Ha!
The abandoned food caught the fireball's attention, he turned to it as the others fretted with the Wanyamon, devouring one sandwich almost immediately. But before he had moved onto another, the scent of the strange dark squares caught DemiMeramon's attention. He drifted over toward the bowl of brownies... and within seconds he had gobbled down half of them! Who would have known, they were tasty..!

"Are you okay?" Wanyamon asked, hopping up onto the bed when her partner had hit her head. What was wrong with her? First the human was scared of her, a little in-training level digimon, now she was hitting herself in the head! This human was going to need a lot of working on if she kept this up. "This isn't a dream! I'm real, that guy's real, and I'm your partner for life!" The Wanyamon insisted, her eyes showed determination.
Sakura rubbed the back of her head. It felt sore, but there was no real damage there. "I'm okay. Just bumped my head." She grumbled. Today hadn't thrown her for enough of a loop had it? Brother comes home with a monster, another monster comes out of her brother's computer, now she had hit her own head! Now this thing was telling her she was her partner? For life? "What exactly do you mean by partner for life?"
Waynamon was relieved her partner was okay, but unhappy about this introduction not being as easy as she had hoped. "It means we're together forever! I'll be here to protect you from evil digimon!" She answered, puffing her fur out proudly. She'd protect her partner from anything! Now if she would just hurry up and accept their destiny together, they could get started!
Sakura opened her mouth to respond to the Wanyamon, but at that same moment, her brother finally returned with the food he had promised, three sandwiches and a large tray of brownies, only to spot Wanyamon and cry out at her. "I didn't do anything! That thing fell out of your bag and everything started glowing and next thing I know we got digimon number two in here!" She explained, pointing at the gadget on the desk. Wait... Now there was two there now? She only remembered one. "What are these things anyway?" She asked as she got up to examine the new one.
Wanyamon hopped back a bit as the new human started staring at her. What the heck did he mean by this being the opposite of what they wanted? Furthermore, she had been speaking with Sakura, how dare he interrupt her! "It's your digivice! It's proof that destiny has chosen for us to be partners!" Waynamon said, hopping off the bed and doing her best to stay at Sakura's side.
"Well, too bad for destiny, because it's not happening. You both are going back where you came from as soon as we figure out how." Sakura said dismissively. She didn't want any part of this partner crap. She wanted these two gone before Mom got home. The sooner they figured out how, the better. She then turned back to the bed, finally noticing that DemiMeramon was pigging out on the Brownies. "Hey! You're not the only one here you know! Besides, you'll get fat from eating that much." She snapped, taking the plate of brownies away before the little fireball could take anymore than the half he had already stuffed himself with. She then proceeded to divide what was left between herself, her brother and Wanyamon, before sitting down to eat her sandwich.
"Wha... Too... bad... destiny?" Wanyamon echoed in shock. What, why... how? Wanyamon stood there, stunned by her partner's outright rejection of their partnership, their destiny, as her partner turned around and began scolding the DemiMeramon for eating so much food. "NO! I'm not going home! We're partners now, and I'm here to protect-argh!" The Waynamon shouted suddenly, only be silenced when Sakura stuffed a brownie in her mouth.
"Not so loud! Someone is going to hear you! Last thing we need is someone else finding out you are here" Sakura spat. Fortunately, it didn't sound like the houseworker had heard. Furthermore, this was only making the problem even more complicated. It was enough to have one digimon wanting to go home when they didn't know how to get him there, but now they had two, and this one was bent on being her partner. "Sorry, but it can't happen. Mom would freak if she found out about either of you digimon, and then she'd probably make us hand you guys over to the authorities and God knows what they might do to you!"
Wanyamon sat quietly and listened to Sakura, only because she had that brownie stuffed in her mouth and it took a while to chew it up. Okay, so this 'Mom' might be trouble, and the authorities didn't sound good either. That still didn't deter Wanyamon though. She'd find a way to stay with Sakura, no matter what! "Well then that's simple, just don't let Mom see me!"
Sakura sighed, shaking her head. While she might be able to hide Wanyamon, but the one thing she couldn't hide was it's fur. Wanyamon probably shed like a beast, and shedding was the whole reason her Mom wouldn't allow them to have pets. How would she explain blue fur flying everywhere? She sighed. At this rate she'd likely have to force Wanyamon to go back to the digital world. "You are one determined kitty aren't you?"
