Finally having reached relatively level ground where there wasn't enough debris to impede his motion, Ryusuke put on even more speed as he attempted to put more distance between himself and the fight going on behind him, changing his direction again to head towards the forest rather than the bombadier like creature that was now threatening the much larger monster that had attacked him and the other teen. There were so many things wrong with the overall scenario that it was almost laughable, and if Ryusuke hadn't had a relatively flexible mind he would've likely been unable to think at all. First and foremost was the sheer size of the insect, which was impossible on earth - the gravity alone would've caused them to be crushed under the weight of their own exoskeletons, and on top of that he was actually running from the damn thing. Sure, it was the smart thing to do, but it was an insect - he'd always been somewhat short, but this was just plain ridiculous, and that still didn't explain how the other creatures were capable of speaking. They were clearly aware of what they were saying, too - it wasn't the kind of dim mimicry you saw with some bird species. They were clear and above all coherant, and spoke without pause. And then there was the fact that there were other people here, which given his own presence shouldn't have been too surprising save for the fact that they were clearly accustomed to this sort of attack. Hell, he'd even recognized one of the students, if admittedly not by na-
It was then that Ryusuke nearly tripped as he realized where he knew the sound of the whistle from. Figuring he was far enough away from the fight that he could pause, Ryusuke slowed his sprint to a jog at the edge of the treeline to glance back, eyes widening in recognition as he saw his cousin standing near the edge of the fight, having clearly arrived with the fox like creature that was also dueling with the giant orange beetle. Standing upright, Ryusuke was briefly considering skirting the edge of the fight to get closer to them when he caught sight of something resembling a purple and tan potato with fins that was roughly the size of his head in his peripheral vision, only to have it slam into the side of his head an instant later, knocking him sideways in the process as it bounced off of his skull.

KUWAGAMON the WILD DIGIMON
[/sup][/center] What was that camouflaged rookie even thinking?
Kuwagamon gave a loud roar in Commandramon's general direction, the fact that it hadn't managed to snap Renamon in half like it had wanted managing to make the bug even angrier somehow. As it was the stag beetle digimon was nothing more than rage contained in a living husk as it seemed, incapable of much more reasoning other than its wings hurting meant he should most likely land. It really didn't want to land though, as it was definitely more able in the air than on the ground . As a result the bug merely continued to stay aloft as well as it could manage, pincers twitching as if it was still ticked over missing the fox digimon.
It didn't even care about the reptile digimon yelling up at it with a gun pointed at its face, and if the bug had eyes it would most likely be glaring at the rookie for such an act. The champion gave a sort of low growling noise as it heard a shrieking noise, as that was all Kotone's voice was registering as; and like with everything else, it ticked it off. How unexpected. The repetitive creature swung its head away from Commandramon to focus on the girl, pincers slamming together as it finally really registered the Ichijouji girl's presence. This was about when the beetle finally registered the sound of Hanako's whistle, for it appeared that Kuwagamon did not have the attention span to take in everything all at once.
A most curious thing happened at this moment though, as the bug seemed to stop in its assault entirely, making an almost confused sounding growl. The champion digimon's wings buzzed a little faster as it tried to stay in the air, but it seemed like it didn't entirely know what to do now. It knew that it wanted the intruders out, as well as their digimon... Especially the one that had damaged its wing. Kuwagamon wasn't entirely pacified or anything like that, it just seemed that the simple-minded and violent digimon didn't know how to deal with the shrill whistle even after Hanako had stopped.
Kuwagamon moved its head as if surveying the area and looking over its enemies, as if judging if it should continue to fight. In a more capable mind the answer would obviously be no, especially with all the damage that the stag beetle digimon was causing. In the end however the champion proved to be too much of a brute for its own good however, and in one swift movement it moved to dive at Commandramon. It seemed like such a stupid and foolish move, but it would be giving the bug too much credit to say it possessed enough logic to be aware of this.

"R-Ryusuke?"
Kotone turned to see where the familiar voice had been coming from.. and she wasn't sure whether or not to seem entirely pleased when she finally recognized him. Still, it was a relief to see a friendly face in the midst of a battle like this and her attention was torn from Commandramon for a few moments. "Oh. Hanako. The space cadet." was her only offer of acknowledgement, despite the fact she seemed sincerely happy to see him. It was then she noticed something purple smack against Ryusuke - but had no time to react to it because of what happened next...
Whatever relief Kotone felt was suddenly drained to see the giant bug dive in the direction of her partner.
Commandramon was caught by surprise to see Kuwagamon charge at him so viciously. Without thinking he first went to try and shoot the creature, but realized the moments to defend himself were dwindling away and proving to be less effective unless he were to take the proverbial bull by the horns. He tossed his rifle out of the way then and there, swiping out his hands in attempt to grab hold of the pincers that were so bent on attempting to slice him in half, and keep them separated so they would not snap shut on him. "ARGHH!!"
Usually this display of brute strength from the rookie would have impressed Kotone, but instead she felt an urgency sweep over her. He was in danger... and there was nothing she could do about it - other than holler his name in hopes that it would prove to bring him strength...but nothing happened. "COMMANDRAMON!"
"LISTEN...BUB...I DON'T...WANT TO HAVE TO DELETE YOU...KOTONE'S DAD...COOKS A MEAN CURRY...AND I AIN'T GONNA MISS OUT COS OF YOU!" Commandramon was struggling considerably due to the size difference between he and the bug. Not to mention his free hands had taken the pincers so he had no method of using an attack on the beast now. His golden eyes traced to Renamon, acknowledging it being the only other being that would be able to help him in this tight spot.
Kotone could see how badly her partner was struggling and felt that she simply couldn't stand by and watch. Items...items...items... Suddenly an idea came to her as she dove into her purse for her can of pepper spray. While the bug had no eyes, she had a feeling that if she were to get this burning stuff in a soft spot he'd surely surrender. Kotone had no idea what she was THINKING! Risking her life to save the stupid lizard that wanted to kill her only a while ago?!
Either out of stupidity or love, Kotone rushed forward to get to Kuwagamon's jaw while shielding her eyes with a sleeve and spraying the pepper spray up into its mouth. She found herself immediately regretting this decision as she felt her own skin sting and lungs close up while in the presence of the nasty spray. "Dammit C-*cough*commandramon..you owe me big time for this!"
Commandramon wasn't appreciating this either, but was far too focused on trying to keep the monster from snapping him in half.

What a twist. Hanako never expected to see Ryusuke here, of all places, he even would be less surprised if Ryusuke ended up on the moon. He shuffled his steps closer, but flinched, and lifting his arms over his head, in fear that the gigantic Digimon or any of the others would get in his way. Ryusuke had gotten into some trouble with this Kuwagamon? He wondered how his cousin even got here in the first place, as far as he knew, Ryusuke was not a Digidestined like he or...Kotone. "Oh. Hanako. The space cadet." speaking of Kotone, the boy jumped a little in surprise, turning his head in her direction. There she was, Kotone! He smiled at the pink haired girl, completely uncaring of the fact that he was called the space-cadet, in fact, he rather enjoyed that nickname. Again, the puzzle pieces started to come together as the Chosen Heir realized that the Commadramon was Kotone's Digimon. He didn't entirely blame himself for not realizing this sooner, all Commadramon were the same to him, big, and horrifyingly scary lizards with guns. "Oh. Uh....Hello Kotone!" he called, waving pleasantly, as though the fact there was a battle going on completely escaped his mind for a few moments. Fancy meeting such a pretty girl again, in the middle of a battle field. The fact that the beetle suddenly stopped attacking made Hanako blink, and continue on his way towards his cousin, hopes that that he could help his family in anyway he could. In Hanako's mind, the fact that it had paused like that, gave him permission to move, and to think that he would run away. Though Hanako had let his guard down and was trying to find his way to the humans, it didn't stop him from glancing every once and a while at the Digimon. He didn't want to get in their way, but for some reason, getting to the others was the first important thing to him. Renamon sighed, relaxing his body when the Kuwagamon stayed still, not attacking him, or Commandramon. Perhaps it was finally listening to reason, and understanding it was outnumbered. "Good," he muttered, dropping his front paws to brush off the dirt from his back and legs, he simply hated being dirty, it was disgusting. Renamon was about to turn to Hanako, when what happened made him double take in horror. The enemy had tricked them! It took a move at not Renamon, but to Commadramon, it's pinches wrapping around the poor Digimon in attempt to smash him. "Commadramon!" the Renamon exclaimed, almost at the exact time his partner, Kotone cried his name was well. The Renamon instantly jumped into action, running toward Kuwagamon at top speed. The red shell would be too hard to hit with his bare fists, he would have to go for the mouth or the belly. When he ran around to the front of the beetle, Renamon gasped, blue eyes hardly believing themselves. The Digidestined was literally fact to face with the gigantic bug. What would he do? Save Commadramon, or save the human girl? The fox Digimon jumped foreward "Diamond storm!" he called again, throwing his paws forward to release the sharpened crystals from his hands. Hanako had stopped when the attacking started up again, trembling where to stood. He glanced to his cousin, and this time started to run towards Ryusuke "Careful!" he cried to the blond, as though what he was saying was actually helpful.

Keeling sideways from the sudden blow to the side of his head, Ryusuke stumbled for a moment before regaining his balance, hand briefly coming up to the spot where he'd been struck before looking around to try and find exactly what it was that had hit him. While he hadn't gotten a clear look at the thing before it had made contact, he knew it was purple and roughly the size of his own head, enough information for him to at least start from. Whatever it was, though, seemed to had left the immediate area just as quickly as it had arrived, and a cursory look over of his surroundings didn't allow him to locate it. Incredibly annoyed but simply writing it up to just another thing gone wrong since arriving in the forest, Ryusuke directed his attention back towards the insect that was now fully immersed in the brawl towards the center of the clearing, still a handful of meters over the ground as it's wings worked to keep it aloft.
While his first instinct was to simply run from the fight, rational thought had returned to Ryusuke's mind and he immediately wrote off retreat as an option, for several reasons, first and foremost being that he had no idea where he was while the other humans there clearly had some knowledge in that regard, with one of them even being someone he knew. The other problem was that he knew he'd gotten lucky that they'd come when they had - he'd barely escaped decapitation, and the fact that the thing could fly almost automatically made it faster than him, meaning that he couldn't outrun it, plus he had no idea if there were more of the things in the area. Above all, he needed to have things explained, bringing him back to the first reason for staying. Still, that was all assuming that any of them came out of the confrontation alive - while the smaller creatures had the benefit of range, the insect was still far larger and far more mobile thanks to the fact that it could fly.
It was that analysis of the situation that drew his attention to the thing's wings, though, noticing in that same moment that one side seemed to be damaged and working harder to keep the creature aloft, and at considerable trouble, too. And why wouldn't it? While it was bigger and clearly more durable than the other combatants, its ability to fly granted it a defining advantage in combat, greatly evening the odds in his favor. As Ryusuke continued to watch the fight from a short distance away another idea began forming in his mind - one that could be considered incredibly stupid and possibly insane, but an idea just the same, and under normal circumstances he would have immediately discarded the thought. As far as he knew, though, everything could've been riding on the outcome of this particular fight, and he was beginning to grow more annoyed with himself by the second as he saw that the others were just as involved in the fight as the creatures he had arrived with. He'd been angry when the other student had run off and left him there, but if he did the same how was he any different?
As Ryusuke began to work up his nerve for what could've quite possibly been the last thing he could reasonably expect to do, he saw his chance when the insect attacked the smaller, armored lizard creature, coming within a mere handful of feet of the ground. With barely a moment's hesitation, Ryusuke pocketed the device he was still holding and broke into a sprint, but not away from the orange bug - rather, he ran straight towards it, at a speed that none of the other humans there were likely to match thanks to his physical conditioning. With any luck the creature wouldn't have any idea he was approaching it - he was coming in fast and from behind it, and the thing seemed too preoccupied with attempting to crush the smaller monster in front of it. The instant he reached the monster Ryusuke launched himself into a jump right out of his sprint at the exact same moment that the girl attacked the thing from the front with pepper spray, reaching out with his right arm in an attempt to grab hold of where the thing's rear leg opposite of Kotone met the body. Ryusuke only knew basic anatomy when it came to arthropods, but he knew enough - they were largely inflexible, which meant that the thing would have blind spots that it couldn't reach, the area behind the rear leg being one such spot. He had no idea how he'd go about the second part of his idea once he was latched onto the thing, but he'd deal with that once he got to it.

KUWAGAMON the WILD DIGIMON
[/sup][/center] Why had every living thing it tried to chop in half today want to well... Live so much?
Kuwagamon couldn't help another roar of frustration as Commandramon managed to keep its pincers from snapping shut, its wings buzzing almost frantically now as the struggle to stay aloft began to get tougher. It was taking far more energy that it should to take care of these intruders, at least this was what the champion believed. Usually the interlopers it took care of were alone though, without anyone to help like these humans had their digimon. Where had the one that had run off gone anyway?; well as long as Tetsuya had fled its territory the bug couldn't really trouble himself by thinking about it... Er, at least whatever passed for thought in that big shelled head.
It was about at this point that Kotone came face to face with it, Kuwagamon's pincers straining some to shut despite Commandramon's strength; two of its targets were right here, it could not miss this opportunity. However as the girl began spraying the inside of its mouth with that blasted mace, the bug gave a sort of shrill yet roar-like noise as the spray stung the sensitive tissue in its mouth. The champion's pincers tried to close even more despite the rookie's attempts to keep them open, however only for a moment as they started to move apart a little. The bug was being sort of driven back by the pain in its mouth, despite being a formidable opponent it just couldn't seem to take the irritation and pain the pepper spray was causing.
"Diamond storm!"
Not this again!
Kuwagamon managed a sort of snarling sound at the start of the attack, that soon changed into another loud shriek of discomfort as a few stray shards managed to get to the sensitive tissue in its mouth. Suddenly the stag beetle digimon's pincers snapped open and away from Commandramon and Kotone, the bug jerking its head back and away from the pepper spray. It shook its head as if that would ease the stinging sensation in its mouth, the beast's pincers seemingly stuck in an open position.
It was at this moment that Kuwagamon finally realized that Ryusuke was holding onto one of its legs, the digimon frantically trying to swing its head around towards the blonde. However it had no such luck, and worst of all its wings were starting to give out; the bug digimon would soon be grounded no matter what it did. Its wings buzzed more as it frantically beat them faster but the damaged one simply couldn't take it anymore, and it came to a shuddering stop after a few moments. The stag beetle gave a sort of frantic roar as it crashed to the ground, leaning to the side as if it might fall over.
It was tired, this much was obvious by now.played by Jinx posts so far 5 bits £250 rewards transfer to... Hayate[/blockquote]

H-holy... holy shit...
Did that dwarf just grab onto that bug?! Man that kid must have had a death wish. But the fact that Ryusuke was even helping at all surprised her... and she was glad to see she was receiving help from Hanako and Renamon as well. Huh. Teamwork, loyalty... all these foreign concepts that would usually have made her sick but in a time when they were actually saving her life she came to appreciate it.
The moment that Commandramon was freed from Kuwagamon's vicegrip he fell to his knees and promptly collapsed on his chin, his muscles having given out after having that much strain placed on them. Kotone coughed and swiftly waved away the cloud of mace as she ran over to pick up her partner from under his arms and drag him away from the fight. Normally she would have said something cheesy and disgusting like 'thank you' in this case but she didn't want to make herself look bad in front of her .... 'friends'.
Commandramon was feeling a bit more grateful than his partner, glancing up from his spot on the ground to see the fight with his blurry vision. His eyes traveled to the rifle that he had dropped earlier which was now rested right beside him. He momentarily considered just shooting the damn bug but knew that Kotone was highly against any form of 'murder'. Puh. Murder. This wasn't murder it was survival in the digital world and she expected the damn Kuwagamon to have some kind of conscience!
There wasn't much the two could do now, they'd leave it to Hanako, Renamon, and Ryusuke. Commandramon certainly was won over by the brave display of the fox digimon and the blonde boy... but pretty much shared his partner's opinion when it came to Hanako. Like Kotone often said about the boy - it was a good thing that he was charming otherwise she'd let the poor kid fend for himself due to his air-headed behavior.
The best the two could do now was watch the fight while offering their new allies support. Kotone rose her hands into fists as Commandramon came to stand as they shouted in unison while the others aimed to take down the bug,
"YEAH! LET 'EM HAVE IT!" [/color] [/sup][/sub][/blockquote]

It was clear to Hanako that his cousin hadn't heard him, perhaps it was because he was too far away for the smaller male to even hear him over the battle noises. It only would occur to Hanako later how much everyone else was in danger, risking their lives to stop the Kuwagamon from hurting others, while he just stood there like a sitting duck, doing absolutely nothing. Only later would the Digidestined actually feel ashamed for this whole scene going around him, after all, even his Digimon was doing more than he was. However right now, the teenager was busy trying to sneak past everyone and to actually be noticed by Ryusuke. His words, really wasn't have been heard at all, telling his cousin to be careful, because all of a sudden, the small male bolted. Hanako turned in terror to see where he was running, and he was right, Ryusuke was running straight at Kuwagamon, full speed ahead, with no single Digimon or anything to protect him. The whole scene in general made his stomach turn in fear for his friends. The reptile with gun, Commandramon had been captured by the gigantic beetle Digimon's equally gigantic pinchers. Renamon was attacking full speed as well, throwing small fragments at it, while both humans he had noticed Kotone and Ryusuke were attacking it face on. "AH!" was the only nose his body was able to offer, he felt completely overwhelmed by the whole scene, part of his body was just about to shut down and force the boy to pass out, while the other parts of his body, kept him simply staring. Was this the end for them? Renamon landed, blue eyes blazing with ferocity, that would do the trick, he was fairly certain. The Fox Digimon had it's arms out in front of him, in a blocking formation, he was ready to take another blow from Kuwagamon just in case it reared it's ugly pinchers back over in his direction. Then...it's pinchers opened once more, releasing the lizard companion from it's angry clutches. That certainly made a wave of relief flash over Renamon's expression, he was afraid that Commandramon would surely have been split right in half. "Hanako, get back!" the Renamon commanded, glancing at his partner, who was standing ever so in plain sight, clearly uncertain of what to do. Much to his relief, the Digidestined opened instantly, and sprinted for some bush area, away from the rest of them. Probably not out of fright, but mostly out on instinct, he usually always listened to what Renamon said, whether or not the fox digimon had good judgement at the time. And then, both Renamon and Hanako watched as the mighty Champion landed on the ground, clearly too tired with it's damaged wing to do much of anything now. the Digidestined Hanako's heart nearly broke seeing how hurt it looked, despite himself . Sure it was the enemy, and it did hurt Commadramon, but still, for some reason he still couldn't help but to want to give it a hug, but didn't in fear of death. The sign that Kuwagamon's being injured did not break Renamon's heart, in fact, a fierce feeling of accomplishment and dominance overwhelmed him. Ahaha. They had won this round! "YEAH! LET 'EM HAVE IT!" Both Commadramon and Kotone's voice rang in his head, and a smirk grew on his face. Oh yes, he certainly would. Once again, the fox Digimon sprinted towards Kuwagamon, although this time, his face was curled in a victorious grin. Hanako stared in amazement at both his Digimon's bravery, and his very own cousins for grabbing on to it like that and not letting go. "Yes!" he couldn't help but to cheer a little, weakly, after all, part of his body still wanting to faint. Renamon advanced, letting out a battle cry "It's over- POWER PAW!" Each white paw was engulfed in blue flames, and just as he reached close enough he threw both punches as kicks at the beast, vigorously.

As the massive insect suddenly swayed from the barrage of attacks Ryusuke almost lost his grip on the thing's leg, initially surprised that it hadn't made a dedicated effort to shake him loose already. Gritting his teeth as his body momentarily waved away from the orange chiten, Ryusuke maintained his iron grip on the break where the leg met the body as the thing grew too tired to keep itself aloft, lowering to the ground with another jolt that nearly shook Ryusuke loose. Too stubborn to let go but knowing that he wouldn't be able to maintain his hold with only his hands, the teen hooked his ankle around the leg as his body swung back towards it, planting his other foot flat against the back of the leg and letting the rubber on the bottom of his shoes hold him in place.
Unfortunately, now that he was on the thing he had no idea what to do since his initial plan had revolved around removing the bug's ability to fly in an attempt to try and level the playing field a bit. Now that it was on the ground, though, going for the wings seemed a bit redundant, not to mention pointless when his efforts where better directed elsewhere. Ryusuke was barely paying attention to the other beings in the area until he heard someone, or rather two people, shout from just ahead of the bug, suddenly bringing his attention back to his slightly more distant surroundings. Shifting slightly to get a better view of the area on the opposite side of the bug, Ryusuke's mind initially went blank as he saw the fox like being that had arrived with his cousin charging the monster he was attached to, obviously intending on striking it with what appeared to be blue fire engulfing the thing's palms. Once he realized the purpose behind the Renamon's charge, though, a confident, slightly devious grin came to Ryusuke's face as another idea popped into his head - slightly less ambitious than his first and just as dangerous in a different way, but just as capable of ending the fight advantage wise.
"The bigger they are the harder they fall...." Ryusuke muttered to himself, looking down as he swapped which ankle was wrapped around the orange leg, hooking the left ankle around the inside and unhooking the right foot. As he did so Ryusuke hoisted himself up so that his neck was level with where his hands were, only to let his arms go lax as he stomped down with his free foot - hard, aiming right for the break in the chitenous shell behind the thing's knee with the intent of forcing it to the ground at the same time as the yellow fox's attack, ready to attempt a break for safety if his idea worked. With any luck it'd topple the thing right over, leaving it open to finishing attacks from the other combatants, hopefully ending the fight.

KUWAGAMON the WILD DIGIMON
[/sup][/center] The bug was only vaguely aware that its initial target had been pulled to safety by the girl, still fairly distracted by the fact its mouth still burned from the mace. Kuwagamon's wings gave a pathetic little buzz, as if it was going to try and take to the air again. Of course it lacked the energy to do so, the stag beetle digimon giving an almost tired and quieter roaring noise. It still intended to try and fight though, its pincers giving a little twitch before snapping shut on thin air as if to display to its opponents it was not going to give in.
Not yet, not when it still had some fight left in it.
"YEAH! LET 'EM HAVE IT!"[/color] And so the assault was to begin again, Kuwagamon giving a louder and stronger roar in response. As the Renamon came at it with his Power Paw attack, the champion digimon snapped at its opponent with its deadly pincers... However these attacks seemed to almost be in vain. Its attacks at best were just barely missing the fox digimon, and the rookie was getting in quite a few hits. The bug digimon was simply too big to efficiently dodge, and its attacks were poor due to the poor thing's decreasing energy. 'Poor thing' only because despite the power difference it was clear Kuwagamon was the one at a disadvantage, albeit only because it had been so weakened by prior attacks and its own stubbornness. The stomp on its leg didn't help the beetle digimon's situation any, as the spot cracked painfully and caused it to give a sort of shrieking roar. The behemoth bug gave a shorter and more angry roar of disdain as it started to fall to the side, wings buzzing almost frantically in an attempt to stop its fall. It didn't seem to work at all however, as Kuwagamon soon found itself collapsed on its side; its pincers snapped together as if it was trying desperately to get to its opponents, but it couldn't manage it. Even so it still tried, trying to get itself upright and slamming its pincers together again. It might not survive the fight, this much was clear, but at the very least it would go down doing what it thought it was supposed to do; protect this area, even if it took its job way too far. Damn it, didn't this bug know when to quit?!
Both Kotone and Commandramon's eyes widened in unison to see that it was STILL trying to fight. Even after all of that. Suddenly the two were faced with a decision, Commandramon more eager to get this over with than Kotone was. The girl reached up to tightly hold herself, curling a bit at the idea that they'd probably need to kill the creature to end this. Her eyes narrowed as she fought with herself - could killing it be the only way? She didn't want to be apart of this anymore... She was surprised she felt any pity for the Kuwagamon at all but...
Commandramon let out a growl, gesturing to the dying beast dramatically as Kotone strayed away from the group. "Don't you see why we have to take this thing down?! It ain't gonna stop until we're dead, got it?! That's how it works here! Either kill or be killed... and I ain't gonna stand around and let it do what it wants with you kids just for a week's worth of meals..." the dragon stood from his spot on the ground, aiming the rifle at the beast's head.
A pause...Kotone realized what he meant and that he would be doing it for the good of her and the other two kids. Some blonde spunky short guy that had literally got up in the bad guy's face and had the courage to attack it without the help of a digimon. Then there was Hanako, her friend by association but a friend nonetheless. She also wouldn't forget the yellow fox that accompanied Hanako...
Their lives were all at risk and it seemed like the only way out of this was to kill the bug.
Wait...wait a second!
Kotone promptly gripped the belly of the rifle and pushed it down, then snapped her attention both to Ryusuke and Hanako. "There's a way we can get out of this without having to kill anything!" she shouted urgently, hoping that they were as against doing anything harm as she was..otherwise she'd look like a tree-hugging hippy freak. But really, their morality was at stake and she wasn't about to throw it away when there was a better way out of this. "There's a monitor nearby!"
It was the computer monitor that she and Commandramon had used to get through to visit the jungle. Whatever they wanted to do ... whatever they wanted to happen... she didn't want part of this any more. Kotone turned on her heels and tugged Commandramon by the rifle he was attached to with a tight grip, "C'mon!"
Commandramon...needless to say... was not happy about this. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! I AM NOT RETREATING FROM A FIGHT! KOTONE! KOTONE ICHIJOUJI YOU LET GO OF MY WEAPON!!"

It...it kept trying to fight! Hanako stared in horror as the creature still struggling for both it's life, and to kill everyone else in the process. When was this going to end? Part of Hanako wish he had the strength to just hold it down until it got tired of struggling underneath him, but that was impossible. Hanako was neither super huge or super powerful, in fact he doubted the Rookie Digimon had any sort power. When Renamon released it's power paw attack, and Ryusuke helped bring it down, Hanako was expecting that it wouldn't be able to take any more of them. He covered his eyes with his hands, and then they rose up to his long brown hair, pulling it slightly in distress. Would they really have to kill the poor beetle to survive? He knew Kotone wouldn't let Commandramon kill Kuwagamon, but...could he let Renamon kill it? He looked over to the yellow fox monster, who looked rather now, of course he did, it wasn't like fighting this guy looked like a walk in the park. Hanako was certainly right about his Digimon Partner, Renamon was both exhausted, and highly discouraged. With what strength this Digimon had the set back was a lack of stamina. His arm and legs hurt now, and he wasn't sure if he could go much longer if needed. Would it be better to grab Hanako and try to run away? What ever the decision was, the yellow fox began to back up, away from Kuwagamon, and more in the direction of his precious human. Though his eyes were on the blonde small child who had helped him take down the beetle "Hey!" for lack of a name, the Renamon simply called Hanako's cousin....Hey "Are you alright?" if needed, he would try to help the human as much as possible, and once again, even to the point of killing Kuwagamon if he had to. Right now the humans were far more important than any digimon, especially one a dense as this one. Hanako had been staring attentively at the enemy, one hand on his silver necklace as if ready to blow it, though that really didn't do anything to begin with. "There's a way we can get out of this without having to kill anything!" Kotone's voice suddenly interrupted him from his moment of just standing there, and his head snapped in her direction, a clear eagerness to understand her plan. The Digidestined nodded very vigorously, as far as he could remember Kotone was very smart, if anyone could get them out of here, it was certainly her. He looked over to Renamon, "Renamon, come on!" he called, gesturing for the fox to come to him, and join them. Renamon with out question, obediently returned to the side of Hanako, and if he were a very loyal servant,he knelt down on the ground next to Hanako. As soon as another monitor was mentioned by the female, both Renamon and Hanako quickly followed her, desperate to get out of here. However, the human boy Hanako stopped and turned, "Ryusuke," shouted Hanako, hoping to find his cousin was out of harms way. Meanwhile Renamon was watching both Commadramon and the pink haired girl fight over its weapon, normally this would be highly amusing had the situation not been dire. "Where is it?" asked Renamon, blue eyes glancing occasionally at Kuwagamon, he hoped that whether they killed it or ran away to saftey, this would all soon end.

Again somewhat surprised that his rash tactics had paid off yet again, Ryusuke quickly moved to avoid being squashed under the larger digimon he was hanging from as it began to keel over - as it fell Ryusuke unhooked his left ankle from around the inside of the creature's leg, kicking off of the apendage to hoist himself up onto the thing's back as it hit the gound on its side. While he very much wanted to try and take his chances making a break for it, backing off now would still be a very bad idea - he had no idea how fast the thing could run on the ground, and no guarantee that it wouldn't be able to take flight within a minute or two after he ran. Even dismounting the creature would prove to be troublesome while it was still conscious - he'd be turning his back to it for at least a second or two while he was still within the bug's reach.
The wall of sound around him wasn't helping matters, either - it made it difficult to think, and was blocking out any sound beyond his immediate surroundings as the thing attempted to regain its balance. Still, there was always one sure fire way to deal with most creatures, regardless of the size, and while he probably didn't have the ability to kill it even if he'd wanted to, he could at least hopefully stun it. Hair and coat being whipped about by the gale caused by the creature's struggles, Ryusuke hoisted himself farther up the back of the bug a foot at a time, relying on the iron grip his prosthetic arm offered to avoid being blown off of the thing's back before pulling himself up between the open carapace that normally protected the insect's wings, placing himself just being the head of the creature.
"SHUT THE HELL UP!" Ryusuke yelled, gripping the top edge of the bug's thorax as he drew his prosthetic arm back for a moment before doing something he'd deliberately avoided since losing his original arm - striking down with the arm's full force with a hammer fist that would have been capable of dropping nearly any human with a single glancing blow to the head, aiming right for the rather large break in the creature's shell where the head and thorax met, a normally tricky spot to hit but beautifully open from where Ryusuke had positioned himself. He doubted it'd cause any permanent damage, but he'd been able to cause some harm before simply by stomping down on a similar spot with a normal leg, and to be frank Ryusuke was running out of ideas.

KUWAGAMON the WILD DIGIMON
[/sup][/center] Kuwagamon couldn't help but notice that its targets were starting to run away, just like Tetsuya had. The bug wasn't entirely sure if this was a good thing or not, though at least they would be gone from its territory. Not gone in the sense that it had wanted but gone enough to be temporarily satisfied, and at least then it would have time to heal and it would be ready for anymore invaders. Its wing and cracked leg would take the longest to recover, but as for the minor scuffs and the burning in its mouth that would pass relatively soon.
Still the champion digimon couldn't help buzzing its wings intermittently, still hoping for a way back to being upright. Being on its side like this left it easy prey for anything its size that decided to take an easy shot at absorbing some data, something that even this simple minded digimon knew and wished to prevent. Things never really should have gone this way to start with, things had never gone this way; it had never failed to take out an intruder until now. Kuwagamon was not pleased with how things had turned out, or at least it would be if it could.
The violent digimon was ripped from the pitiful thing it considered a thought process as it realized the little human who had cracked its leg was still on it, and was now moving. To make matters worse the little thing let out a yell like a banshee before seeming like he was trying to punch a hole in the bug, causing Kuwagamon to give a loud roar and writhe a little. The champion digimon's pincers slammed shut on open air, as it finally decided that it needed to do something about this. It certainly couldn't reach around with its pincers to cut the boy, but it could certainly try crushing him.
With this plan of action in mind the bug immediately tried to force itself onto its other side, pincers twitching as if it was wishing it could really use them. This was certainly a last ditch attempt in taking down one of the intruders, but it was the last shot Kuwagamon had at this. It also was not at all happy with the little human thinking it really could truly take it on, as the stag beetle digimon did at least have a sense of pride. It had to get at least some revenge somehow for the embarrassing defeat it had suffered, and it had decided this would be it... Hopefully anyway.played by Jinx posts so far 7 bits £350 rewards transfer to...Rokuro[/blockquote]

Well…so much for friendship, togetherness, teamwork, and all that other shit.
Kotone was not pleased in the least to see when she looked over her shoulder to see that instead of being followed Midget mc Midgetson was far too focused on kicking the bug’s ass with his shiny magic metal limbs than to spare its life, make some friends, and run away. Wow. Really? Well...that was his problem. She wasn’t about to waste any more time on him and trying to save the brat’s life. At least Hanako was safe and he had half a brain and heart to try and get away from this whole thing. Kotone was now more focused on getting Hanako and Renamon out and away from there, spinning around and coming to a stop to see that they weren’t being followed any longer. ”Guess he’ll be fine.” Kotone spat eyes narrowing a bit, ”He’s having too much fun.”
Maybe it was because she was flat-out ignored by the kid or maybe she had lost all respect for him for beating up something that was already down-and-out and continuing to fight it anyway. Whatever. At least Hanako wasn’t like that. Kotone removed her digivice from her pocket with her free hand, turning to glance at her friend by association and dropping Commandramon’s weapon. ”You okay?” she looked him over, then turned to face a soft light spilling through the foliage. Once she hurriedly moved the leaves out of the way of the light, a television monitor showing a classroom in Odaiba sat there.
Commandramon growled and stomped his feet into the ground, crossing his arms and such. But he was relieved to see that most of them.. the ones that couldn’t defend themselves got out alright. The digimon took the time to acknowledge Renamon, offering the fellow digimon with a nod of respect. ”That was some nice shootin’ there. Thank you for helpin’ us out.”
Meanwhile, while lingering outside the gate all ready to go – Kotone looked over Hanako for any injuries and gave a little sigh of relief. ”That was ridiculous…” she grumbled, a little out of breath. ”Well… whatever. Do you want to go?” the girl stood idly with her digivice out, trying to hide the fact she had been blushing slightly from having to get down and dirty and all out of breath in front of someone like this. Ugh. It was so hard to uphold an image of perfection nowadays. She hoped that Hanako wouldn’t tell anyone about her heroism… or her 180 change of attitude towards someone she had originally wanted to save but now…well she wasn’t wanting to waste time trying to save someone that didn’t need to be saved. Hopefully that wouldn’t make her come off as too cold.
