Taylor wasn't used to this and should have expected it the moment he stepped into sight. He tried to hide the slight discomfort he was feeling at suddenly having the attention of several eyes at once. It was a quick decision; not that he had much chance to decide in any case. He hadn't realized just how close one of the group members were until their digimon started talking..seemingly to him. Almost self consciously he raised his hand up to gently touch his cheek where the scar marred his face. Deciding to remain in his demeanor of shy, yet calm friendliness, he offered a gentle smile to her. After all, despite being absurdly talkative, this digimon seemed friendly enough.
"Don't worry. It looks worse then it is." Well, not true exactly, as he was partially blinded thanks to it, but at the moment he didn't want to maintain the attention on himself. Taylor paused to give glance to the boy, supposedly the partner, who was clearly not in the same spirits as the digimon. Staring down, slightly apart from the group, and a non too happy look on his face, this boy clearly did not want to be here. Taylor was about to ask if he was okay, not sure if it was out of actual concern or merely a part of his desire to appear a good person, before a second voice rang out in response to the Koromon, then a third, the same female voice that he had originally heard. Head swimming as he tried to decide if it would be better to address all of them at once or individually, Bakumon spoke up in his stead, having finally decided that none of these people were like the ones that had previously apprehended him.
"We thank you for your kind offers. It would be a pleasure to join you." he spoke softy, and inclined his head politely toward the group. He knew this was what Taylor wanted, even though he hadn't yet said anything. It was what the boy always wanted. Glancing up at Taylor, he saw the boy's finger once more fiddling away at the hem of his sweater, cheeks dusted a slight pink as his digimon spoke for him. He should have felt irritated at Bakumon for talking instead of him but couldn't. Even if he had wanted to. Instead he looked around at the group, gaze stopping on the talkative girl, and nodded, maintaining that almost timid smile all the while.
"If you don't care about having a half blind guy and an overly anxious digimon along, then sure." Reaching down to give a suddenly very put out looking Bakumon a pat, he added, "Do any of you actually know the way out? Or are you like me and kind of just..guessing?" Taylor assumed so, but couldn't help but ask. The more he knew about his group the better. So far what he had was the boy that was either anti-social or didn't want to be here (possibly both), a much younger girl with the noble-like digimon who hadn't spoken yet (could she talk? Or was she just shy?) but seemed to have a friendly smile, and the loud girl he had heard first, who seemed, along with the Koromon, to be the most outspoken and enthusiastic of the group (he couldn't say much in regards to her digimon yet though, which he didn't like). However, that had been just a very vague sweep, and he was probably already making horrible assumptions. He wanted to know more before speaking too much... Bakumon hovered by his side, more concerned, as were the other digimon, about actually getting moving then about everyone's personalities. How many times did it have to be said before the humans actually did it?
"I apologize for stating it again, for it has already been said, but it would be best not to stand still. We can talk while moving, can we not?" As if to prove a point, the digimon edged forward a tad, though still didn't seem to want to stray too far. He just hoped it wasn't too late already, for this forest was not at all a particularly safe place to be.

- ~ - ~ - ~ - ~ - ~ WON'T LET YOU SLIP THROUGH MY FINGERS This newcomer to the group didn't seem like anybody he should worry about, Valus thought, although the comment about being half blind didn't go unnoticed by him. They now had two group members with some kind of physical disorder... three, if whatever caused Shion to talk so much could be considered. At least the general opinion now seemed to be that they should move on. That was good - he was getting tired of these introductions and ramblings about destiny.
"I remember the way I came in. It isn't too far from here, if you just want to go." Chinatsu might have her quest to consider, but by the sounds of it these other two, Shion and... he hadn't caught the other boy's name, they just wanted to go. If it meant getting away from the feeling that he wasn't quite the same as any of them, he would gladly help out. Although Koromon clearly felt differently, shooting Valus a look like he'd just committed treason.
"Valooooos! Wha' 'bout the lady an' her brave lad? Can't just forget em' like, we're on a quest isn't we?" She didn't want to end the pleasantries... it was obvious to him, but would the others see it that way? Conversation of any kind was good enough for her, and she now had three people, plus their Digimon, to pester until the gossip finally ran dry. "If we is goin' to take em' home, at least we ought' take em' out somewhere rightly? All of ye are new to this world! You should keep in touch!" Grinning like a pumpkin now, it was clear now what she had in mind. She didn't want to be just limited to his company.
Smiling hopefully at pretty much everyone in the area, with his exception, Koromon eventually relented. Hopping over towards the area Valus had emerged from, one of her long ears jabbing at it to indicate that it was the direction to follow. "Tha's the way to follow! Since ye didn't meet us on the way like, Kyokyo dear, maybe somethin' this way help on yer quest?" Embarrassed by his inability to restrain his partner's tongue, at least in public like this, Valus sighed and nodded. Giving in if only for a way to shut his partner up for as long as he could.
"Does that direction help everyone then? We can explore the area as we go, and then drop everyone who wants to return back home at the end." He prayed that there wouldn't be any objections. At this rate, Koromon would insist on finding out the address and phone number of everyone present before they managed to get safely out of earshot. What did she think, that just because they were all lost here, they could somehow turn into a team? Digital pen-pals?

Half blind? That was... interesting, but she hardly felt like it was useful - maybe if she saw him again, she could exploit it if she had to.
For now, Avari just smiled and nodded - being cheerful and agreeable tended to make things easier. "It's settled, then! Let's go!" She didn't really need to wait for the others - she assumed they would follow given Valus had so kindly provided directions. Tsunomon was insistent on them leaving soon, and the others were also conscious of the danger of a gathering here. Walking forward at an easy pace - not too brisk - she glanced around. The road signs would make navigation confusing, but hopefully Valus knew the way back well enough to keep them from straying too off course.
"Tsunomon, what kind of monsters hang around here anyways? Big ones? With wings, or lots of teeth, or maybe without faces - "
"Dangerous ones," he said flatly, and plainly did not mean to elaborate. She blinked and subsided, paying attention to her surroundings as much as her alleged partner bouncing beside her. She needed to remember how to go through here, or at least memorize any significant landmarks to indicate where this exit gate was.
After all, if she ended up here again, she had no intention of wandering around, lost.
For once, this was a place - though she didn't understand how it stood in relation to Japan, let alone the rest of the world - that she wouldn't have minded exploring. But maybe there would be time for that later....

"That sounds great," Taylor responded to the boy who had offered to help them home. "Honestly, I wouldn't have a hope without some sort of guidance..so uh..thanks..." He trailed off, realizing he didn't even know the boy's name, but stopped it there without asking. He was pretty sure he had heard his companion say it, but he wasn't sure, and didn't want to accidentally address him with a mistaken title. This would do for now.
It was a very odd situation, being in a group without really knowing how to act. It was like driving blind, well not that he ever had done, or even tried such a thing to know to compare this to it, but he was certain someone in that situation might feel a sense of fear about not knowing at all about surroundings or what could possibly lie ahead. Taylor supposed there could be many other metaphors that could be used to voice his near complete lack of idea on what to really say or do next, opposed to merely accompanying them through the mess of trees and signs. The greeting had been easy; it was what came after that was hard. So for the first few minutes he walked alongside them in silence, a small, just barely perceptible smile present, perhaps(hopefully) giving off an air of calmness despite being an a potentially dangerous situation. To his right was Bakumon, wafting along beside him silent as the air as he shot occasional glaces about to see if they had any unwanted company, and to his left, just a little in front of him was the oddly happy girl, and taking up the rear was the silent girl and her noble companion. He had to say something. Anything. As much as he hated it. Forcing his already false smile into something more noticeable, he turned to the girl closest to him.
"So..um, what do you think of this place? Odd isn't it?" he glanced around, eyes momentarily alighting upon a stop sign. "I don't know it you remember..or even know, but it kind of reminds me of that forest in Alice in Wonderland with the mismatched signs." he shrugged, hoping that didn't sound too idiotic childish, and momentarily looked away, catching Bakumon's eye in the process.
The digimon frankly looked a tad surprised that he had initiated a conversation, as normally Taylor waited for the other to talk in order to know how to respond. He wasn't about to complain though, perhaps the boy was trying to step out of his comfort zone, which would be a good thing, because if Taylor found friends then he wouldn't be dragged along and clung to every waking minute. Then again, maybe he would be anyway. Normally he would have said something to, but he didn't know what he was talking about anyway, so it would be pointless to say a thing. In any case, he thought it best to maintain an eye out for danger, and merely nodded at the boy instead to continue.
Taylor was still mentally pleading that the girl, who seemed friendly enough wouldn't laugh at him for referencing something meant for kids, when it happened. Of all times to do something embarrassing and stupid it had to be right now. He hadn't even seen the branch, or if he had it didn't seem nearly as close as it apparently was. Thankfully the branch was not too far down, so it only smacked the very top part of his head, but that was enough to send him momentarily stumbling backwards, a dull pain now resounding through his skull. Wincing, and ignoring Bakumon's question if he was alright, he forced himself to grin again pleased in the thought that he was good at pulling them off convincingly, despite feeling like he might cry; not from pain but humiliation. Boy's didn't cry though. He wouldn't allow himself to appear weak. More then one person had probably seen that. Curse his faulty eye..he would have seen it otherwise. Giving his forehead a vigorous rub to try and prevent bruising, he shrugged a single shoulder at the girl again before anyone could say anything, if they even were going to,
"It's okay, no depth perception right?"
