No money meant no food. No food meant no strength. No strength meant no travel. And no travel meant no finding Nate's parents. In short, they weren't going to get very far if they didn't get any money, and being without a job or profitable hobby, Lopmon and Nate were really out of options. They had to resort to theft and pickpocketing to make their gains. It wasn't always so bad though. Sometimes they could hit the jackpot.
Lopmon flew through the air, guided by her giant almost wing-like ears. They were very useful when it came to scouting from up above the streets and high up in the city. What was she looking for? Well, a target. And what was a target? Well, any room or shop that was open and she could sneak into unnoticed. Despite the fact that she was aiming to steal whatever valuables she could stealthfully, she still wasn't so afraid of getting caught. It wasn't as though anyone stood a chance against her in combat. Especially not a human. She was tough!
"That looks like a good place to start!" Lopmon finally exclaimed excitedly to herself. What she saw down below was an apartment with what appeared to be an open window just next to the door. Why someone would leave the window open at 3am was beyond her, but it was a great start for her.
Lopmon began her descent and landed just in front of the apartment door. She walked a few paces to the right and looked up to see the windowciel. With one powerful jump, she grabbed onto it. Following this, without even so much as making sure no one was inside, she slipped in. She landed just to the right of the kitchen sink on the counter.
The room itself was dark, and it didn't seem as though anyone was inside of it. Perfect! This meant that she could go ahead and start looking around.
"Hmm... Is that a refrigerator?" She asked curiously, though all the while she knew what it was. The Digimon spread her ears apart and took to hovering once again. Once on leverl with the refrigerator door's handle, she began to pull on it with all her might.
"The door won't budge..." Lopmon pouted. She descended to the ground once more.
"OH! I know what to do!" Lopmon said excitedly. She opened her mouth and inhaled a large amount of air. "Bunny Blast!"
With that, she fired a powerful blast at the refrigerator door which would blow a hole into it. From there, she levitated once more and made her way into the refrigerator through the hole. She began to look around.
"Now... what to eat?"

Hanzō and Ryudamon had went to the shopping area to buy food that Ryudamon liked. His taste laid more within more exotic foods of Japan. Hanzō liked trying the new food that he had never gotten the chance to try. The little money that he was making for working part time was able to suffice the both of them.
The arrived back to the apartment and was hiding out in Hanzō's back pack. "Bro, your getting heavier and heavier, might have to change your diet."
"Think of it as traditional Martial Arts training, young grasshopper."
"Oh you got some jokes, don't you? Well, See if I cook for you tonight then."
Hanzō grabbed the keys from his pocket as he set the grocery bags down on the ground. That's when they heard a loud boom come from within the apartment. "What the hell."
With that Ryudamon torn out of the book bag and jumped in front of Hanzō. "I don't like the sound of that."
"Me neither." Hanzō then put the key in the lock and turned it, opening up the door.
Ryudamon quickly bounded in on all fours looking for the source of the noise. It stopped at the kitchen as it saw a hole in the fridge and heard more noises coming from it. Hanzō was right behind him and stopped to stare in angst. "SHOW YOURSELF."

Lopmon's gigantic ears were not needed to tip her off to the fact that the door was opening. She heard it very well, and knew, of course, what this meant. Someone was coming inside. She needed to hide! And quickly at that! Lopmon quickly ran out of the refrigerator. She knew that wouldn't be a safe place to hide, especially since she had just put a giant hole inside of it which would alert them to the fact that something was out of the ordinary. Instead, she leaped out and made her way to the cabinet beneath the sink. She opened it and jumped inside, hiding just beneath the sink disposal.
"Phew! They'll never find me down here!" Lopmon sighed with relief. She then quickly closed the cabinet. Of course, she did this lightly enough so that they wouldn't hear it closing. She didn't want to give them any extra ways to find her, after all. Lopmon was shivering in anticipation. She wondered if they would find her or not. Humans hadn't really been the brightest of creatures, or rather, the most perceptive, since she had gotten to know them.
In all honesty, to some extent, Lopmon wanted to be discovered. Things would be boring if she weren't, and she just hated it when things were boring. At the same time, Nathaniel had taught her very well that she was to stay out of the affairs of humans. She wasn't to converse with them, for fear that they could report her, or something, to the authorities. She really wasn't sure much about that. But in any case, she was supposed to stay secret.
Tee-hee-hee! This is fun! Lopmon chuckled under her breath. It was about time for the fun and games to begin!... if he somehow managed to find her.

Hanzō and Ryudamon waited after Hanzō had yelled at to whatever it could be. The hole could not have been made by no normal object or weapon, well no weapon that would need the perpetrator to hide with. Nothing else came from the fridge, so they figured that it was trying to be noiseless now.
Ryudamon walked up to the Fridge and jumped into the hole in it and looked around. It saw nothing and raised an eyebrow to itself. Turning his head he looked back at Hanzō and shook his head. Whatever it was, it was not in the fridge no more, so where could it be now. It didn't hear no scampering of feet across the floor or other rooms and the front door to the kitchen wasn't that far off. So whoever it was had to still be in the vicinity.
Hanzō gestured to the all the cabinets. That's the only thing he could think of. If the being wasn't in there then maybe it got out of the open window. Still they would of possibly heard that.
They both began to look through the cabinets on the floor first on each side of the kitchen. This was exciting and scary at the same time for the fact that they would find the unknown.

Hanzo began to open the cabinets one by one, and Lopmon was almost certain that he would be getting to hers soon as well. This wasn't so much of a problem, though she was most definitely preparing for it. It could be fun, after all. She had no fear, however, and didn't mind getting into a fight. If that was what was required for her to help Nathaniel and herself have dinner for the night, then so be it.
Slowly but surely, the cabinet to the sink disposal began to open. With that, Lopmon jumped out of the cabinet and onto the tile floor. She then took a rather proud pose. She stood, her chest out, and looked up at the boy who had just opened the cabinet. Perhaps she'd have to fight him, but maybe she wouldn't. Either way, this would definitely be fun.
"Put your hands up! This is a stick up!" Lopmon commanded. She held her right hand out with her index finger pointed as though it were a gun, even though obviously it wasn't. Was she playing? Maybe a little. Was she serious? A little of that too. This was a stickup, and she was planning to take what she needed.
However, something else soon caught Lopmon's attention. She sniffed once. Twice. Three times. There was an odd scent. It smelled like... the Digital World. Her home. She remembered it. It had to be a Digimon! She paid it no mind for now though, and kept her eyes focused on the human, Hanzo.
"Food! Now!"

Hanzō was going down the line of cabinets. Soon he opened the right cabinet and a random digimon popped out of it. A digimon with big floppy ears, longer then its body. This kind of made Hanzō laugh on the inside. It didn't make it any better that it held up its small fingers like a play gun. Just staring at it for a few minutes, Hanzō turned back around to inspect the hole in his fridge. How was he going to replace the door on it?
Ryudamon looked over when it heard a voice, that wasn't Hanzō's, come from behind him. Well, that was some surprise. A digimon busting holes into fridges, what for? Nonetheless, the digimon slowly stalked around to the blind spot of the digimon. Maybe, if he was lucky enough, it had not noticed him yet.
Hanzō continued to inspect the hole and looked through it into the fridge itself. "Well, If you want food, I could make you some. Other then that, I hardly keep anything around, you know growing boy has to eat. You might also want to try something other then a finger gun next time to, whatever would be a bit more intimidating. Though, you yourself don't look intimidating."

"Do not underestimate the power of the finger gun," Lopmon said. She raised her gun finger up to her mouth and blew on it, and then finally brought it back down to her waist. She stuck it in the invisible holster and brought her hands back down to her sides once more. She would have to wait until later to show the gun's full potential, but she didn't mind it. If this guy ever got on her bad side, she'd certainly have to show him.
"You're lucky you offered me food. Otherwise, I would'a shot you," Lopmon huffed at him. She was going to play nice a bit longer, but she was still a bit irked by the scent she was getting. There was most likely a Digimon, or an animal, in the room. Of that much she was certain. The biggest problem right now was finding out what it was. She shrugged her shoulders.
Maybe my nose is just going funky... Lopmon reasoned. She didn't understand a lot of what Hanzo was saying, but she did understand his statement about growing boys needing to eat. In any case, she looked up to him with a gigantic smile.
"Well, I need to eat, so I guess I'm a growing boy!"

Hanzō turned his head back to the digimon. Seeing that Ryudamon was circling behind it. Was this digimon that careless? To be a thief and not pay attention to your surroundings? Well, no matter to him. He would keep it distracted for the moment until Ryudamon sprang into action.
"So, your a boy huh? You sound like a female though. Are you a gender confused digimon? If so you would be the first I have ever seen." Maybe this would put its full attention onto him. Hopefully, Ryudamon had something planned for whatever he was about to do. Only thing was would it succeed?
Ryudamon was finally completely behind the unknown digimon thief. It jumped into the air and attempted to tackle it to the ground. If it worked out they would be rolling around. Ryudamon was unsure about the actual strength of this digimon but it was going to put its all into this tackle.

"That was a joke, mister," Lopmon said stubbornly. She crossed her arms as though she was upset for a moment, but then forced herself to calm down and instead smiled at him. She couldn't allow herself to get upset at something so trivial. She was a playful Digimon after all. Instead, she turned her head, letting her ears flop around and smiled at him batting her eye lashes.
"Isn't it obvious? I'm too cute to be a boy! Look at my flowing, long, and gorgeous ears," Lopmon said reassuringly. However, before she could even finish her thoughts, she was tackled from behind by the Ryuudamon. She went rolling, with Ryuudamon right on top of her. How had she not noticed him coming from behind her? Her ears were spectacular for hearing!
"What?! A sucker punch!" Lopmon said. She was now laying on the ground, and Ryuudamon on top of her back. She couldn't move from under him. what would he do now? She wasn't sure, but regardless, she didn't like how he wasn't even trying to play fair.
"Hey! Get off of me!" Lopmon screamed at him. She attempted to get out, but no matter how much she did, she couldn't push him off. He simply weighed too much for her. If she could push him off, she would certainly try to fight him though.
"Didn't your mother ever tell you that boys aren't supposed to fight girls?!"

Hanzō watched as Ryudamon had made his move and nailed her to the ground. Well, now one little stressful thing was out of the way. Not much that they could do but try and figure out who she was and why she was stealing. The two partners locked eyes and Ryudamon gave Hanzō a nod. That made Hanzō feel comfortable and left the room to grab the groceries from the door and close it now.
Ryudamon leaned his head close to the other digimon's massive ears. "Well, I would treat you like any other girl but see, you tried to steal from us. That constitutes that you lose all privileges. Now, if you want to be civil about this we can. We are only looking out for our own safety in this home. Hard to when there is an unknown being in it."
Hanzō walked closer to the door looking through it to make sure that no one had come around. Grabbing his book bag and groceries, he pulled them in and closed the door behind him, while locking it.
He went back into the kitchen to see if anything new had developed. "So, do we have a name for this one? Or can we call her big floppy donkey ears?"

This was certainly embarrassing. She had been pinned down so easily by the Digimon she had been smelling for the whole time. She hated losing fights. Never! Never! Never! She would never back down from a fight, but this guy was cheating! Apparently he didn't know how to play fair, or at the very least he didn't care about playing fair. This was the type of person Lopmon had come to disfavor.
Lopmon watched as Hanzo made his way back to the door and locked it. He grabbed a bit of groceries as well. Lopmon was starving so much, and it looked as though he was going to eat in front of her. He doublecrossed her! Not only were they cheaters, but they were liars too! They were much worse than whatever it was that they were accusing her of!
However, the mood was lightened as soon as Hanzou spoke. "Floppy donkey ears!" that was rich. She couldn't help it. She started cracking up. At this point, she had stopped trying to break free and simply pulled her head out to look back at Ryuudamon. She simply wanted to see if he was laughing as hard as she was.
"Tee-heehee! Floppy Donkey Ears!" she laughed. She laughed a bit longer. "My ears don't look like donkey ears!"
It took her a few moments, but she finally stopped laughing. She took a deep breath or so and started to calm down. These guys were a bit funny to her.
"Hey.. what's a donkey anyway?"

Hanzō set the groceries on the counter and turned back around to see that the digimon was laughing hysterically. Truly, not something he had expected to come of this. Maybe this was a good thing though. Leaning against the counter now, he crossed his arms and nodded at Ryudamon. He didn't feel that she was hostile at all anymore.
Ryudamon smiled at Hanzō's comment. That was a quick joke that was not to far off. He nodded back at Hanzō and jumped off of the digimon to stand next to his partner. "Well, a donkey is ... wait that's besides the point. What's your name? That's a little more important then what a donkey is, at the moment."
Hanzō looked at his friend. "Hey, maybe she is curious. She might not have a partner to inform her of what these things are. I mean, I had to teach you about my world when you first arrived here. Vice-Versa, when I went to yours." He honestly didn't know why he was defending the intruder now. Yet, this could make things a little less hostile.

The Digimon finally hopped off of Lopmon's back which allowed her to stand up once again. She pushed both of her hands onto the floor and got up onto her feet once more. Now that she was standing, she could actually get a better look at the digimon. It was most definitely a Ryuudamon. Of course she would recognize him! He was a Digimon, and a stealthy samurai-type warrior at that. That explained how he got behind her so quickly.
Regardless, she already didn't like Ryuudamon very much. If he had been a human, sneaking up on her would have made a bit more sense, but the way that Ryuudamon had done it was just cheap. It wasn't even fair, especially when he was already around her level or so. She crossed her arms and glared at the Ryuudamon with a very stubborn expression.
"Why would I want to tell you my name when you're a cheater, a liar, and a meanie?!" Lopmon stuck her tongue out at the Ryuudamon. She didn't quite want to fight him. She didn't dislike him that much, though her distaste for him was approaching a desire for a little skirmish, though she doubted Hanzou would want a fight in his home. She had already caused enough damage. However, after a moment or two, Lopmon calmed down. She turned her attention to Hanzou.
"Didn't you say you'd make me some food or something?" Lopmon asked. Following this, her stomach growled rather loudly, especially considering her small stature and small size.
"I'm HUNGRY!"

Hanzō shook his head at the two of them. Seemed that this digimon was trying to play a reversed role with Ryudamon. Well, he would have to be the mediator for this one. That or Ryudamon would not even take the bait. He could only hope that he wouldn't take it. He knew that Ryudamon was more honorable then what she was saying though.
Ryudamon let out a tsk as she called him all those things. "I was only trying to protect my partner and friend. That and on what basis do you have the right to call me a liar? I didn't cheat cause there were no rules involved, especially when they come to intruders. Though I can see how you would call me a meanie."
Hanzō sighed as his partner spoke, maybe that would settle things a little bit. For now, he got to work on bringing out the food from the grocery bags. "I will feed you once we know your name. Cause I don't feed strangers, let alone allow them to stay in my residence." He was hoping that she would see that he was being reasonable.

Once again, Lopmon stood proudly. She was happy now that she had heard Hanzou was going to be making food for her. In addition, it seemed that he was already getting groceries too! How amazing could a little Digimon's life get?! She was so hungry! She was starving even! And all that he wanted was her name? Well, Lopmon didn't mind telling him her name.
"My name is Lo-...," her shifty eyes turned to Ryuudamon. Well, she didn't mind telling Hanzou, but she didn't want Ryuudamon to know. As such, she raised her ears and slowly began to ascend upward. She landed up on Hanzou's shoulder, where she sat on it comfortably as though it were just a chair. From there, she leaned over, cupping both of her hands over his ears so that she could muffle her voice and speak to him in secrecy.
"I'm Lopmon... but don't tell Ryuudamon, ok?" Lopmon whispered. She then brought her arms back down and smiled. She wrapped her left ear around Hanzou's back and shoulder for some extra balance to make sure that she wouldn't fall off.
"So what's on the menu for tonight chef?" She asked. She hadn't forgotten about the food just yet! Not even close. And now, watching him take the food out of the bags was only making her even more hungry. She could just eat it raw, whatever it was.
