Yuu paced around the house sullenly. It was rather empty at the moment, which was honestly a normal occurance. His parents had been really enjoying each other's company lately now that dad was home, and were out together almost all the time. He was not sure what his younger sibling was doing at the moment, but he suspected they were over at a friend's house or something.
Actually, to call the house empty was a bit of an understatement. Other than him, it was relatively empty of humans. As the boy paced around the house, cleaning things up out of sheer nervousness, he was being followed clumsily and closely by his little feathery digimon, Pinamon.
Pinamon chirped quietly as she followed, having no real reason to be following him other than to pluck at the hem of his pants leg whenever he took a moment to pause. She did not seem to be in a hurry at all, nor did she seem bored. In fact, she was utterly content.
The thing that made the house seem rather sharply empty despite not being so was the fact that moments ago his sister had rushed out of the house angrily. Before then a lot of noise had been going on involving a spider, explosions, angry yelling, all that fun. It ended rather abruptly after a harsh retort from Yuu during an argument with his older sister. Now he had no idea where she was. He had assumed she would have come back after some time had passed, but this had yet to happen, and it was making him nervous. Guilt was starting to eat away at him pretty badly, what had been exchanged between them during their anger.
One more thing was making it hard for him to wait. When his sister had stormed out of the house, she left her digimon there as well. He was the reason that Yuu had constant things to clean in an attempt to ease his nervousness.

The nerve. THE NERVE!
It was so much easier for Kotone to place the blame on her younger brother than to accept the fact that this whole situation had been entirely her fault. Lying back and forth to both Yuu and her digimon partner, Missimon. And it all started with a damn spider. Kotone knew that there was a reason why she hated bugs - they always seemed to be the catalyst for fucking up her relationships with people.
The first time was when she stomped on her first grade friend's pet pillbug, not knowing that it belonged to them. WHY would anyone keep a pet bug in the first place!? The thought reminded her of their father who always seemed to have an inexplicable affinity for insects. It made her skin crawl... or maybe that was the freezing chill that the wind carried through the ferris wheel carts.
Kotone sat in this cart, gazing out at Odaiba with it's dimly lit city lights that paled in comparison to the light show the ferris wheel gave off each night. Even in her seat she could see the flashing of rainbow colors reflect against the carts below and above her. It was relaxing, to say the least. Kotone was known to flee to random locations when she needed to be alone or cool down. For some reason tonight she couldn't find the solace she usually did while on the ride. Maybe if she stayed on the ferris wheel for a little while longer it'd rid herself of this weird feeling. She felt... empty.
And it really was her fault, wasn't it? She honestly had been afraid of the large spider and there Missimon was ready to protect her. Kotone hadn't liked the creature at first - as a matter of fact she was willing to lie about trying to kill it to Yuu! One lie after another... The first telling Missimon that she was royalty so that she could save herself from being attacked by the little missle - then telling Yuu that she wanted him dead. It was nice getting so much attention from a naive little monster. She didn't want to get rid of that - not at all. But instead she lied, to save her skin and make it so she didn't look like a coward to her little brother. 'I was trying to make it kill itself' she told him, by commanding Missimon to ram itself into the wall in order to kill the spider like the weapon he was. But that wasn't true... Missimon did it on his own accord at first...
She could have just blamed the holes in the wall on him.
...But she didn't... she lied.
And Kotone wasn't sure if it was to make herself look good and stay out of trouble or to keep Missimon from being punished. No... it couldn't have been the latter. That would mean that she actually would have to CARE about the little creature and she DIDN'T. She KNEW she wanted Missimon out of her life. But why not just stomp on him like she did the little pillbug?
"No...I just wanted Yuu to think I was afraid of him. That's all." she murmured to herself while clenching her hands tightly. "It makes more sense to be afraid of an alien than a stupid little spider..."
Kotone felt herself growing tired and frustrated with her lies. It was to the point where she wasn't sure what to believe herself. She would just try to accept the fact she wanted to maintain an impressive image to her little brother - and failed. He had no respect for her right now.. possibly never again. The fact that she was so blatantly disrespected by someone who used to idolize her... and the one who's only opinion she ever cared about... it brought her here. She couldn't face him like this. She wouldn't.
. . . ❀ . . .
"PUNY HUMAN!" a voice bellowed, breaking the silence that came after a series of crashes and small explosions that took place in the Ichijouji residence. Missimon, being the bit of the imposing youth he was, flew his weapon-like body right into Yuu's face - facing him with his pointed metal snout. After a moment or two of silence, his expression and posture softened, "...I uh..."
The strength that the digimon had forced in his voice had quickly melted. In what appeared to be out of shame, he lifted a claw to scrape the back of his skull. It was a rare display of humility from Missimon, something that he would learn to show more often in his later forms.
"I suppose it's time for this soldier to accept his responsibility for Miss Ichijouji's disappearance. I'm sorry, sir."
And that was all it took - a temper tantrum from Kotone to scare Missimon into showing her younger brother the respect a soldier would to his general. In one swift motion the digimon raised his claw to salute Yuu, "Permission to leave the premises and search for her, sir?!"
Missimon was sharing Kotone's feelings of confusion. When they had first met, she had invaded what Missimon dubbed as his territory for himself and a group of Metalkoromon soldiers. He was a general then... strong...respected... but he knew very well that humans had the ability to make digimon even stronger. That's why when Kotone stated with such strength and superiority that she was a princess in the digital world that he gave up his title as general to serve under her. Then out of the blue some kind of mechanical device he had never seen before appeared between the two... along with a strange necklace of sorts.
It had been an overly cheesy and bizarre way to form a bond between the two. But something about her... it was almost as if he had been waiting his entire life to meet her! There must have been some significance. But now his source of power had ran off - and he felt his strength being slowly sapped from his body. Any longer and he was certain he'd begin to de-digivolve. That must have been the only reason why he was so ready to get out of there... or was it something else?

Yuu winced at the sudden shout, his temper flaring a bit. He grit his teeth and picked up a few things that had been knocked over during the frantic exploding. He pulled himself up and found himself face to face with a sharp little digimon. He faltered, taking a small step back. He may have been frustrated with the little guy and his attitude, but he was calm enough at this point to be very aware that no matter how small he was, he was still much stronger than him. He was further surprised, however, when Missimon's whole demeaner changed and he became much more sobered and calmer. Well maybe not calmer, but at least he was no longer yelling at him and causing a ruckous around the household.
He deflated as well at the digimon's apology. He had not once blamed him for his sister running off. In fact, he placed the blame entirely on himself. He shook his head slightly started to speak, when the digimon abruptly saluted.
"Permission to leave the premises and search for her, sir?!"
Yuu blinked, eyes widening. "Oh... oh no... nonono if you go out there somebody will see you..!!" He bit his lip, however, faltering in his resolve. He wanted to go out searching for his sister as much as her digimon did, now that it was brought to his attention.

...Now that wouldn't do.
Missimon's pleasant disposition left him the moment Yuu denied his request. The back of his fuse began to sputter and ignite, thrusting himself to the side of Yuu's head and hovering there with his sharp snout against his temple. Missimon wasn't about to surrender his authority to this human, even if he shared the blood of his general. A low growl rumbled from the missle, rocking back and forth while trying to balance his hovering, "Alright then, you leave me NO CHOICE. Outside, cadet. We're lookin' for your sister. YOU. Pinamon!"
The missle shifted to face the little bird, lenses narrowing some at it. He wasn't an idiot. Pinamon was probably one of the dimmest digimon he knew, so it wouldn't be difficult to get her to do what he wanted. "There's no use in tryin' to fight me. I'll turn you into a shiska-birdie before you can make a move."
Unfortunately one of Missimon's greatest vices was his pride. After taunting Yuu's partner, he figured he may as well make himself appear even more superior and powerful, "I was a general back in the digital world! Do you know how long it takes to gain that title?! I led armies of smallfry like you onto the battlefield! We overthrew villages of puny weaklings with ease!" Now this was beginning to sound like a lie. Missimon was simply trying to scare the tough out of the two in order to get in control. But he wasn't going to confess to the two his army only fought to protect and serve the good of the digital world. No, he must be strong. He must be FEARED!
"And you, fleshbag-" Missimon turned his attention back to Yuu, scowling, "When digimon blow up, we only turn into data. I hear somethin' real interesting happens when you're in the middle of an explosion," For an added effect, the digimon got even closer to Yuu to place his sharp snout between his eyes. "you turn into cherries."

Yuu grit his jaw, going very still as Missimon started threataning him again. He should have known better. He bristled, however, when he started throwing threats at Pinamon too. There was no two ways around it; the bird was an idiot. She could run around in circles for hours not only because it was fun but because by the time she made it full circle she couldn't remember she already took that path. But dammit all that was his idiot, and he had grown protective of her in the time they've spent together.
"I'll go with you. But do not threaten Pinamon," he said, eyes narrowed. "You know, going out there like this, you will probably get hurt pretty bad by frightened people. You may have bullied people weaker than you with your big army, but there's more people in Odaiba than you can imagine and you're only one guy."
He really did hope that this one could see some reason, though he had the sinking feeling that this was not going to be the case.

Missimon released a low growl at Yuu as he kept his gaze right on him, quirking a lens in response to his protective behavior. What? Was humans fraternizing with digimon becoming something acceptable and encouraged? Tch. Sure. Humans were only used to make digimon stronger, so neither human or digimon should show any form of AFFECTION. It was taboo, disgusting... That's right.. the only reason the ONLY reason that Missimon showed any interest in finding Kotone was so he wouldn't de-digivolve and then disappear.
"Very well, human. I'll refrain from blowing up your bird." He snorted, drifting away from him and glaring at the door. Then the thought of humans being able to overthrow him caused the little digimon to chuckle, but soon pale in horror. Yuu may have been right... Missimon dwarved in comparison to the six foot giants. Of course, he wouldn't let this fear show - especially in front of Yuu who had courageously threatened him with the living missle in his face. Instead of admitting this, however, he would simply come up with another excuse in order to avoid making a fool out of himself.
"I was never planning to go out into the open." He lied, shifting to look back at Yuu. "Don't you humans have some fancy mode of transportation. Those big digimon with the dark windows to keep themselves hidden?" Of course, he meant a limo. Missimon saw Kotone ride in one plenty of times. Little did he know that Yuu had little to no access to his big sister's rides.

Yuu relaxed slightly, though not very much. At least he was not going to attack Pinamon, who continued to remain obvlivious to the tension in the room. He relaxed further, though, when the other digimon stopped using himself as a gun. He leaned slightly onto the couch that was next to him and gnawed at his lower lip. To be honest, if the digimon had ignored him there was nothing he could have done. Glad he knew how to put up a front.
He glanced over at Missimon as he spoke, brows furrowing as he tried to understand what he meant. A big digimon with dark windows? A bus? No busses do not have dark windows. The only vehicle he knew that had dark windows was... oh.
"A limo? How do you plan on getting one of those?" His lips pulled back, not really a smile, almost like an amused grimace. "I couldn't pay for one of those if my life depended on it!" He wanted to stress that last part because he had the feeling that his life very well could depend on it (fuuuuu).
The simple fact was, though, he was not against Missimon. He certainly did not like the way he acted, but darn it they both wanted to find his sister. He thought for a moment. Maybe something more practical would be better. After all, even if they got into a taxi, the driver might not exactly ignore a floating missile. Then again taxi drivers have probably seen a lot...
"What if I could still transport you around and keep you hidden?

It was starting to get a lot colder than Kotone had originally anticipated. The girl felt around for her cardigan that she had placed on her seat, going to put it on. Maybe... maybe she shouldn't be angry with her brother still. Maybe it was time for her to go home and apologize...
Kotone felt her pride shrivel and the unfamiliar feeling of loneliness swept over her suddenly. Without her brothers...where would she be? It wasn't like she had very many friends. How could she? Every time someone tried to befriend her it was because she was famous and they wanted status. That was why she liked Laurette so much – her penpal had absolutely no idea that she was a rising starlet and even stated that her being both an actress and a model was 'weird'. Well, that was true friendship for you.
But her brothers weren't there... nor was Laurette... or even the ugly little missle that had followed her around. It was only her, and the cold silence that came with riding the ferris wheel by oneself. She figured she had just about enough, once the cart descended to the boarding platform she stood with every intent of going home... at least until she found herself blocked by an unfamiliar blonde man.
. . . ❀ . . .
"W-what do you mean you can't pay?! Are you not the blood relative of Miss Ichijouji!? She claims to be able to afford everything! AGH..." The missile rotated around Yuu's head, his fuse sputtering angrily as he tried to think how he'd be able to humiliate himself in order to keep himself hidden. If there was anything he and Kotone had in common... it was their pride.
The idea of being transported inside anything but a fancy and well-respected machine was less than desirable, but Missimon had no other choice but to hear him out. The digimon gave a groan and threw up his small claws, facing Yuu. "Very well, human. Tell me what I must do in order for us to find h---"
Suddenly, the digimon's voice trailed off into a high-pitched grunt and his entire body began to glow. His lenses widened and looked down at himself, finding that he was beginning to shrink... "N-NO! I f-feared this would..!" And with that, the digimon was engulfed in a bright light. Unfortunately Missimon had forgotten to tell Yuu that if a digimon and their partner were separated for too long, digimon de-digivolved. Since Kotone had been missing for well over a few hours, it was inevitable that this would happen. The light faded to reveal a small three-eyed bomb, facing Yuu with a look of disdain... despite not having anything in its expression readable except for its eyes.
"b-bom.."

That morning, he'd pulled from his office the files he had on all the Chosen Heirs and flipped through them, trying to pick a good target for the day. The ideal target would be alone, preferably without even their digimon and that narrowed the field, as most were very attached to the little monsters. Flipping through the files, he'd finally spied the perfect family--the Ichijoujis. A family tainted ever so slightly by darkness.
He'd left Tsukaimon at home and then traveled to the Ichijouji home by subway, dressed casually in a sweatshirt and jeans so as not to attract any unwanted attention. Pulling a knitted cap over his distinctive hair, he'd walked pass the house and was pleased to hear the sounds of mayhem inside. Ah, the Ichijoujis never failed to disappoint. One of the older siblings would undoubtedly come storming out of the house soon, and all that was required for him was to wait.
In the end it was the girl, Kotone, who ran out of the house in a blind rage and without her digimon. In a way, Jenner had been glad it was her; he found it easier to be more guarded around women. He'd followed her from a safe distance, traveling with her all the way to the subway and onward to the ferris wheel. He hadn't gotten into the same car with her at first, as he'd been a ways back in the line. But now the wheel had completed one revolution, and Kotone's car would be open.
He pulled off his cap to alter his appearance, just in case the Ichijouji girl noticed him earlier, and waited for her particular car to come to the base. He didn't have too long to wait, and stepped inside the car just as Kotone was about to exit. Unfortunately for her, he blocked the door, and waited just long enough so that it would close as soon as he stepped inside. She wouldn't be able to leave, not just yet.
He sat down as the car once again lifted into the air, leaving them trapped in a metal box together. It shouldn't be too hard to snatch some DNA, not at this close range. So he hoped, at any rate. Jenner smiled and put on a friendly face, all the while trying to come up with a decent excuse to take a DNA sample. "I'm so sorry, did you want to leave? I guess I kind of blocked the door... I'm way too tall for this country." He laughed, hoping that he appeared to be the kindly stranger he was aiming for.

He bit at his lip, gripping at the couch and slumping slightly. This guy really was insane to try doing anything with. Blood relative, Yuu was not just a relative, he was the girl's direct brother. That did not mean, however, that they shared each other's fortune. Average and celebrity did not mix to combine a single fund for the both of them to spend freely on. Though he had to admit, that would be immensely awesome, he doubted his sister would ever go anywhere near thinking the same.
Back to the situation, though, it looked like the digimon was at least willing to try to listen, which was such an awesome step forward. Before he could say or do anything, however, something very strange happened to the digimon, resulting in it going from a missile to a bomb.
He stared at the digimon for a moment, blinking slowly. He glanced over at Pinimon, who was peeping slowly and walking closer to the newly transformed Bombmon. It only took Yuu a few seconds longer before he darted away quickly to search. When he returned he was holding an old duffel bag from which he had emptied some miscellaneous items. He scooped up the bomb and pushed it inside. A bomb was even more conspicuous out in public than a missile.
After a moment of thought, he snatched up Pinamon as well. She let out a sharp shout at the sudden grab and wiggled uncomfortably. "Nooo noo.... huu..." Yuu did not want to leave his partner behind, however. Not only due to worry, but he really did not think of her as capable of taking care of herself with nobody around. He only zipped up the duffel bag partially, leaving plenty of breathing room and peeking room. Pinamon pushed at the opening a bit before plopping back, wiggling. She did her best to grin at Bombmon with her little beak. They were going on an adventure! She let out a few happy hoots and poked at him. "Adventure!"
Satisfied, he made his way out the doors and into the streets of Odaiba. He moved quickly, but as he wracked his brain for places his sister would be at, it refused to provide him with answers. "Missimon, you can still understand me, right?" he uttered down toward the bag as he moved, not quite sure exactly what he was called at this stage. "Do you have any clue at all where Kotone is? ...please..."

She had been ready. Ready to apologize and ready to finally accept the strange missile that had taken a reluctant liking to her back into her good graces. All that she would do, all the changes she would make rattled in her brain and inspired a feeling of confidence. Be a good sister, help the needy, sponsor a child from Ethiopia! All of that came to a screeching halt once she path was blocked by someone who had described himself as 'too tall' for Japan. And of course, Kotone just couldn't keep herself in high spirits or her sharp tongue in her cheek.
"'Tall' wasn't the word I would have used." She scowled at the man, but bit back from saying anything rude further. With a sigh, Kotone backpedaled to sit down in her seat and clutched her purse in her lap with a risen feeling of security. Whenever she had to be seated with someone else... especially a stranger as sketchy-looking as this one, she'd be ready to put up her guard. If only Missimon had been there...
...Missimon.
Dammit, she was thinking about the little missle again...maybe actually wishing she hadn't ran off how she id. It had been several hours now and no one thought to look for her in her favorite spot (but how would they know? It had been a well-kept secret for years that she ran to the ferris wheel when she was feeling lost.) Still, Kotone felt like she had been forsaken somehow, and that bitterness was all she needed to not fight her way out of the car. She sat there, glaring at nothing in particular then slowly looked up at Jenner - realizing his stare hadn't once left her. If that wasn't unsettling enough... she could have sworn she'd seen a guy that looked just like him lurking outside of her apartment hours prior to this most coincidental meeting.
That nagging familiarity was all it took for her to speak up once again, something she'd rarely - if ever do while in the presence of a potential stalker. "...Do I know you from somewhere?"
. . . ❀ . . .
It would prove difficult for the three-eyed bomb to display much emotion or thought at all while in this form. It only stared at Yuu with it's ever-dull expression and gave a short-tempered grunt when he was scooped up and shoved into a BAG of all things. The limbless monster laid there on its back, helpless and irritated but unable to complain anymore. Something inside told him Yuu would appreciate that, after all he hadn't been the most cooperative of digimon.
Once the bag was in motion the bomb rolled backwards to the end of the bag, staring at Pinamon upside down and absolutely hating his life at the moment. The only indication of his feelings was a few sparks at the end of his fuse, but even then he knew that the damn bird would be far too stupid to understand it had been morse code for P-I-S-S O-F-F!
Yuu's voice made way to the bomb and it took a while for the question to fully register. Not only had his body shrunk, but his mental capacity as well. They weren't called 'baby' digimon for nothing, but he'd do his damndest to find Kotone before fading away into nothing – which would be an inevitability at this point if he were to continue de-digivolving.
Bombmon pressed his face between the opening of the bag, sure to not reveal himself to anyone where Yuu was. "Bom..." he grunted as he searched his extremely limited vocabulary to project his thoughts at the time. While his fuse kept signaling messages in morse code, he knew that Yuu wouldn't be able to figure it out at all. At least unless he were to ask for help... That was it!
"Bo..m." Was the only word he was able to utter, then shifted his position to show his fuse tail while it sparked messages on and off and paused for the appropriate time.
–✵✵ ––– –✵–✵ –✵– ✵✵✵ [/center] Bombmon hadn't been so sure why this of all locations had been the first idea that came to his head. When the digimon closed his eyes he heard the soft sound of gulls and water crashing. He remembered a vague scene of Kotone saying she had liked this location... probably a time when he had been Missimon and she was walking home from school. The image was fuzzy, but he knew it had happened. Now if only Yuu can figure out what he was saying... [/sup][/sub][/blockquote]

He hadn't realized how suspicious the Ichijouji girl would be. He knew he should have thought of it, and should have prepared for any outcome, every contingency, but he hadn't and now he was stuck in a metal box with a prima donna for an undefined amount of time, and he no conceivable way to gather her DNA. This was going to be absolutely wonderful.
He wished he had some wine, and for the billionth time in as many weeks he also wished he carried a hip flask. Who cares if drinking in public wasn't proper? He needed it. Besides, he was in a metal box and no one would see but the Ichijouji girl and what did she matter? A small frown crept onto his face while he conducted this thinking session, all the while trying to come up with an adequate response.
He could admit to following her, but pronounce himself as an ardent fan who meant no harm.. but she could call the police. He could deny that he knew her, arouse further suspicion, but avoid hostility. Maybe. Doubtfully. Why had he picked this particular family to follow? The girl was too observant for her own good.
He briefly considered another plan of action--forcefully taking a cheek swab--but pushed it aside. Too risky. He fumbled around in his briefcase, avoiding the girl's question for a good thirty seconds, trying to see a way out of this situation. "Excuse me? Uh.. no, I don't think so. Where do you think you know me from?" It was best to play it safe in this kind of situation, not giving a definite answer. He continued to dig through his briefcase, as if something in it would provide the solution to this most awkward and delicate situation.
The car lurched suddenly and he dropped the briefcase, its contents scattering onto the hard metal floor. He swore softly, and got down onto his knees to begin picking everything up. This would be little more than an inconvenience to any ordinary man with any ordinary briefcase, but Jenner was no such man. In his briefcase, he kept the tools used to collect DNA, which would look at least somewhat suspicious to any witness (cotton balls, microscope slides, tiny needles for collecting blood). And, tucked inside a pocket of the briefcase, was the folder he had on the Ichijouji family. At least that hadn't slipped out... but the briefcase itself has slid over to rest against Kotone's feet.
He silently cursed his luck and continued to pick up everything that had fallen, praying that Kotone wouldn't pick up the briefcase and see the files--and wondering what he could do if she did.

Bombmon was right about Pinamon not being able to figure out the morse code he was using his fuse for. Instead, all she saw was pretty lights sparking on and off within the darkened bag. Her already large eyes widened even further - if at all possible - dazzled by the display. It was just like one of those stick sparklers that kids were given since the explosive fireworks were too dangerous for young ones to handle safely.
Yuu, on the other hand, was not nearly as dazzled. Maybe at another time in another place he could have been all 'oh hey neat' in the back of his mind, but right now all that it was was sparks of light going off inside the bag. He was surprised and glad that his fabric was not catching fire.
His heart sank when all that came from the digimon speach-wise was a single monosylabic noise that had no real meaning to him behind it. It looks like it had lost its ability to speak when it had de-evolved like that. He looked up around the area, people going by without noticing anything was off. He felt like a helpless little kid. A little kid who was lost and hopeless. His hand clenched tight to the strap along his chest. It was just out of his reach.
He glanced back toward the bag as the digimon shifted purposefully to reveal the fuse, sparking it once more. He bit at his lip and took a deep breath. There was no need to panic. He was far from needing to panic. His sister had been gone for a while, but not all day. They had barely started to look. Though he really was not sure where to look, he still had to try more than he already had. Heck, she could probably even be at the mall, splurging or something.
His mouth twitched a bit at the thought and he started to walk, but glanced back at Bombmon as he did, noting that the sparking had not stopped. It was very deliberate, in fact, and it seemed to have a pattern now that he noticed. His eyes squinted a bit, before they widened. He knew what he was doing, that was morse code! He had gone on a code spree a long time ago and tried learning and/or reading up a lot on a whole bunch of codes including this one. He was not very good at it as the need to use it had been pretty low, but he still retained some of it.
N... E... O...? No that did not seem right. He had to have mixed something up there, something was off.
D... O... that was it, the letters he had thought was split was actually the same one. D... O... C... R... no that was not right.
K! That's right, he always mixed up the two.
DOCK and the last one was either an S or an O and it was pretty obvious which one made more sense.
"The docks?" he blinked. He looked around at the signs to try to figure out which way would lead there. He did not go there very often anymore, but he could remember going there a lot before. He started walking briskly and it was not very long at all before the massive Daikanransha Ferris Wheel loomed up through the buildings. It was amazingly large, the spotlight of the docks. He gave his bag another glance. "I really hope this is right..." Mostly he meant that he hoped he had understood the message.
He soon found himself amongst a crowd of fair-goers and had to press the bag closer to himself in an attempt to keep it from being jostled too much.
Pinamon, meanwhile, had decided that Bombmon's fuse was too delicious not to try to take a taste of. After all, shiney and sparkly had to be delicious, right?

Kotone's eyes fell on Jenner's hands as they fumbled with the suitcase, seeming to search for something. This immediately rose a red flag for her and she went into her purse on an impulse. She would have cursed under her breath once she realized she hadn't packed her pepper spray, but instead felt the cool touch of a glass vial. Perfume? That should be enough to blind the bastard. While Jenner occupied himself with looking for whatever in his suitcase (it may as well had been a gun), Kotone slipped out her Euphoria™ perfume and rested it in her lap, hoping her hand would be able to hide the little vial for now.
Thank God for luck.
Kotone started in surprise as she saw the briefcase slide to her feet. Now it wasn't like Kotone to tackle a problem head on, but this Jenner fellow freaked her out enough to give it a quick peek. Kicking the top of the case open, her eyes widened to see an array of needles and cotton balls and slides. Her paranoia (or women's intuition, whatever) got the better of her and she stood up, aiming her little bottle of perfume at Jenner with her hand mostly obscuring the fact it was perfume and not mace. "STAND /BACK/" she demanded, lifting one of her high heels to give him a jabbing shove backwards and then going down to look through the case. "What...what the fuck?" she squeaked as she looked over all the tools... and the file tucked in the pocket just barely sticking out that was labeled 'ICHIJO'.
. . . ❀ . . .
Bombmon didn't mind the haste Yuu took on the way to the docks. In fact he was certain he'd disappear if he hadn't, and something told him that Kotone wasn't just angry now. He hadn't known his partner for very long but he knew very well that when it came to her family she rarely held grudges for very long. They were her family, after all.
The further they went, the more uncomfortable the digimon got. Something was off... he could feel a panicked feeling from his human's psyche rising and causing him to suddenly get nervous. His tail continued to spark and sizzle, but coming to an abrupt halt the moment he felt something foreign clamp around it.
"BOMB!!"
If shouting 'Bomb' in a public place like this wasn't bad enough, the moment Pinamon's beak snapped down around his fuse caused him to release an attack that'd mimic his own explosion. The small bomb bursted into little bouts of gunpowder and fire a few times, probably setting a small fire to the bag and then flying out of it with a distressed cry. He was heading right towards the ferris wheel, blinded by the light that had emitted from his own body just moments ago. "BOMB BOMB BOMB!"

This was not good, not good at all, and he had no idea how to fix it. He should have known better than to go after this particular girl, should have known it would be folly to so much as approach her.. but he had ignored his instincts. And now has was scrambling on the floor of a ferris wheel car, trying to collect his belongings before Kotone could see what they were. It was too late for that, of course, but it was really his only option.
And then he was kicked in the back, the breath flying out of him in a sharp exhale as he collapsed to the floor of the car. Oh, this girl was going to pay; after all, this was his best suit! And now it was dirty with grime from a million feet and a thousand children dropping their candy or throwing up or God knew what. Not to mention the fact that she now had possession of his precious briefcase.. oh, things were just getting better and better.
While Kotone was likely congratulating herself on such good luck and presence of mind, Jenner was muttering a creative combination of all the swears he knew--and there were many. All the hate he could muster was sent Kotone's way, pulled from the bitterest pockets of his heart. Surely she'd feel it? ...no, probably not. Since a psychic attack was clearly not working (and why it should, Jenner wasn't sure), he decided it was time to up the ante. What did it matter if this was a girl barely old enough to vote and not remotely old enough to drink? She was obstructing the law. Albeit the corrupted, fractured law. If the AIR syndicate even counted as government anymore. But if it did, then, well, he could justify this. Maybe. Ugh, women. Couldn't live with them, couldn't live without.... no, he just couldn't live with them.
He pulled himself up to his feet, using the wall as support for a moment and glimpsing some sort of commotion going on far below him. "Please step away from the briefcase, Miss Ichijouji. Compliance in this situation would be.. ideal." Who was he kidding, he couldn't hit this spoiled starlet. But maybe he could threaten her into backing off? He doubted it. He didn't even have a gun, or much of anything really because Kotone had his briefcase. He made a mental note to purchase a gun as well as a hip flask. Oh, he was going to need a drink when this was done.
He pulled himself away from the alcoholic line of thinking and focused on the situation. Maybe he could punch her, if he didn't leave any permanent damage... he wracked his mind for anything he might have missed, any way out of this. Then, in a flash of clarity, he remembered the rather sensitive item he'd purchased from AIR only a few months before--memory serum. Oh, that would solve everything about this train wreck of an afternoon. The problem was, he didn't know where it had rolled to on the dirty floor.
Jenner eyed the ground with increasing desperation until he finally spotted the small vial (finally, a spot of luck on this awful day) right at his feet. He sat, letting all the hostility go from his expression, appearing to give up. Hopefully. "..you know what? Nevermind. Take it." He gestured at the briefcase, hoping that it would draw her eyes to the case as he quickly picked up the vial. Maybe she hadn't seen him move? Even if she had, however, she wouldn't know what the vial contained. He finally had an advantage. A tiny advantage, as he didn't know how to give the serum to her, but an advantage nontheless.
