The sun was high, the trees were shady, the field wide and covered in flowers, the lake shimmering beautifully in the light, and best of all, everyone but Hikari was asleep! Okay, so that wasn't so great. With everyone asleep, including the recently digivolved Lalamon, Hikari didn't have anyone to play with, thus she was bored. Of course, being on the well behaved side Hikari didn't take to destructive habits like some children did. Instead she set about to skipping through the field of flowers that the little group had stopped at to rest. The others were currently in the shade of a tree, asleep. Hikari on the other hand, after having her fill of skipping, was now meandering through the field and picking flowers, singing and humming quietly to herself. "Ol' McDonald had a farm, E-I-E-I-O! And on that farm he had a digimon! E-I-E-I-O! With a digivolve here and a digivolve there-" And other songs involving silly things that children liked to come up with.
She was rather oblivious to her surroundings, easy pickings for any bad digimon. But then... who would want to hurt such an adorable little girl? But then there was that Soulmon... and who knows what else was out there. Possibly things more malicious than he, who didn't really seem all that malicious when Hikari really thought about it. Not that she was thinking about any of these things though, for she was too busy examining the soft white petals on a flower she had picked. On of the petals was discolored and looked unhealthy, and Hikari was gently brushing her fingers across the petal, thinking that would help it, still completely oblivious to the world.
Meanwhile: Lalamon- "ZZZzzzzzzzz. Zzzzzzz."

[/sup][/sub] Humming...
Humming...Children hummed... Children like...
Usually Antylamon would have disregarded the noise. The child that the sound was coming from sounded...young. She usually didn't enjoy having to scare younger children no matter how much she wanted to take them away from their digimon partners. But Hikari would catch Antylamon in a very unusual mood today, most unusual. She stood within the trees for a while, her sensitive ears picking up the faint childlike humming. The very few scenarios began to cross her mind what this would consist of...
Maybe they were lost... maybe...they were hers...? maybe...they would become hers.
The rabbit pushed through the foliage, the trees bending away from her body. She began to walk quickly and with a purpose, her arm forming into her 'Treasure Axe' attack and beginning to slice them out of the way just out of impatience. She had to hurry... she had to hurry...what if this was the one?! The one she had been waiting for for so long?!
Antylamon paid no mind to the flowers that died beneath her feet when she stepped on them to reach her destination. There she was...! A little girl in the field! Maybe this was really the one!
Maybe...
No...
The giant's somewhat hopeful look shriveled into one of disapproval and disappointment. That wasn't her child. She didn't even have to see Lalamon to know this. When she would finally find them she would know the instant she saw them. This time... it just brought her the same disgust every time she saw a happy child that wasn't hers.
But perhaps...this could be remedied.
The rabbit's expression took a soft, faux smile as she stepped over and above the small child, not hesitating to kneel down beside her despite her gigantic size - speaking with a gentleness that would hopefully win her over instead of scare her away. "Well, hello little one."
Mine...mine...mine...

"Kookaburra sits in the old gum tree, Merry merry king of the bush is he. Laugh, Kookaburra, laugh, Kookabur-"
Hikari's song was cut off as a huge shadow suddenly loomed above her, and a soft voice cut through the air. "Wha?" Hikari craned her neck backwards, not entirely expecting to actually see someone, or rather something above her! With a surprised squeak she startled, spinning around and staring up at Antylamon with a look that was a cross between fear, wonder, awe, and curiosity. It was... it was... it was a, "Bunny!" Hikari's expression suddenly turned into that adorable look that children often got upon the discovery of something cute and fluffy! And to Hikari, Antylamon was both. Without even waiting to determine if Antylamon was bad like the ghost thing or not Hikari had latched onto one of the ears, hugging and snuggling her face into it like it was a pillow, a blanket, or a stuffed toy.
She giggled in an adorable way and continued to snuggle her face against Antylamon's ear for a moment before she seemed to realize what she was doing, and so she stared up at the huge digimon shyly and apologetically. "Sorry... You have nice ears! They're soft! Want a flower? They smell pretty!" With that Hikari thrust her little handful of flowers up at Antylamon, offering them as a gift and an offer of friendship. During the offer Hikari's eyes were closed and the cutest smile that could ever be had made its way onto her face. Really? Who could hurt such a lovable little girl?

[/sup][/sub] “Bunny!”
Hm…this is must have been what it was like. To have a human affectionately hold her, embrace her by the ear and press her face against it. Antylamon’s expression softened and warmed in the presence of bright little Hikari. The little girl was quickly winning whatever heart remained inside what she once thought was the empty shell.
"Sorry... You have nice ears! They're soft! Want a flower? They smell pretty!"
Antylamon lifted her muzzle to show the little girl that she had been smiling – it was mostly fake, but there was a growing sincerity to it. It felt nice to be given such a wonderful amount of attention… euphoric actually. She wasn’t sure she was going to allow herself to simply let Hikari go.
”No need to apologize. I like being held.” the rabbit spoke to her in a silky voice, reaching around the child with her large hand as if to create a protective wall. The other reached down to gingerly take the flowers that she had so graciously offered her. ”Thank you very much, little one.” Of course Antylamon wouldn’t harm a little girl, how could she?
Her digimon, however…
Antylamon’s gaze traveled over to the slumbering digimon. Lalamon, was it? The Harvester’s expression suddenly grew into something…malicious. ”Is that little thing yours?” Antylamon questioned Hikari softly, trying to ease the child closer to her by pressing her palm against the girl’s back.
No…
She wouldn’t let this one go.

Hikari was quick to giggle and bounce up and down happily when the giant bunny accepted the offered gift. She hadn't yet noticed the wall-like hand behind her, for when Antylamon mentioned that she liked being held Hikari decided to resume her ear snuggling. "Mmn. Soft. You'd make a good pillow!" She piped up, her words serious in every regard. So soft, so fluffy, if Hikari hadn't been standing she might have decided that her companions' idea to take a nap would have been a good one!
She didn't notice the change in expression, how could she with her face buried in a giant ear? But she did feel Antylamon shift, and at the question Hikari gazed up at the large digimon for a moment, blinking in confusion. "Little thing?" She followed Antylamon's gaze across the clearing to where Lalamon, Maro, and her digimon slept, and her expression soon brightened. "Mine? I don't think he's mine... I mean... you don't really own other people right?" She tilted her head a bit, thinking the question over. Funny how, compared to an adult or older child, she over thought things like this often.
"I think he's a friend... he saved me after the scary ghost after-all!" She piped up happily, gratitude shining in her eyes at the memory. But then that memory brought back the memory of her mother, disappearing as the ghost, Soulmon, circled around them. Tears suddenly began to well in her eyes, and little sniffles broke what was once her happy demeanor. "M-m-mommy! Mommy is gone!" Hikari, aided by the gentle pressure of Antylamon's hand on her back, suddenly ran closer to Antylamon, clinging to her ear even tighter and burying her soon to be tear-stained face into it. "L-lalamon called it a Bakemon! And-and-and it had a hat! It was scary! It tried to hurt Maro and me! It took me away! But-but-" She broke off, tilting her head back and letting out a heartbreaking wail as tears streamed down her face. "But Budmon and-and Gummymon, t-th-they saved us! Maro and me! F-first Lalamon was Gummymon, b-b-but he ch-changed into Lalamon..." Hikari sniffled, fighting to control of her tears. She'd be called a crybaby if she didn't, and she didn't want that!
For a moment she seemed to be successful, but the worried expression of her mother popped into her head for a split second and the tears came all over again! And this time hiccups came with it! "I want *hic* my mommy!" Hikari slumped to the ground, still clinging to Antylamon's ear like it was her blanket back at home. "Do you *hic* know where *hic* mommy *hic* is?"

[/sup][/sub] "I think he's a friend... he saved me after the scary ghost after-all!"
Scary ghost? These must have been the children that Soulmon had been going on about. Overpowered? By these rookies? Tch. That Shepherd was so utterly useless. The Harvester did her best to not let any traces of distain touch her expression as she continued looking from the girl then to Lalamon.
Antylamon didn’t seem affected by the girl’s tears, focusing too hard on the plant digimon that had been blessed to be born with a human child present. She found herself envying it and hating it because of this. None of Hikari’s cries touched Antylamon or had her pity the poor child. All she cared about at this moment was her own overpowering greed and hunger for a human partner. If she had to traumatize the poor thing to do it…well.. she’d get over it. After all, her ears were wonderful for drying tears on.
Oh, right. She was crying. Antylamon directed her attention back to Hikari, forcing the sickeningly sweet voice and demeanor back to properly comfort her.
”Shhh…it’s alright, sweetheart.” the Harvester cooed and wrapped her hand gingerly around Hikari to give the child her own form of a hug. ”I do believe I know where we may find your mother…Has Lalamon not told you? Almost every digimon knows where to go to find lost little girl’s mothers…”
That was it… that was all she needed to do… this shouldn’t be too difficult.
”I wonder why your digimon seems so bent on keeping you here in the digital world… Maybe ….he’s not really your friend?”

Hikari's cries quieted to sniffles when Antylamon began speaking, her eyes widening with a hopeful glimmer. "You know where mommy is?" The hope in her eyes soon changed to hurt though, and the look in her eyes was like her heart had been shattered. She stared up at Antylamon, disbelief sparking and then turning into a burning anger that was not common to flare within Hikari! "That... That's not true! You're a liar! Lalamon is to my friend! You don't even know him!" And then a thought hit her, something that she would not have even dreamed of had Antylamon not threatened the friendship between she and Lalamon! She went to push away from Antylamon, to glare up at her, but the hand was in the way, and Hikari suddenly felt constrained and restricted.
What if this digimon was friends with the scary ghost? What if... "Don't ever tell me that Lalamon isn't my friend!" She started crying again, this time tears of confusion and hurt raining from her eyes. What if Antylamon was right? But... no... that couldn't be... Lalamon had saved her. "A-a f-friend w-wouldn't m-make fun of s-s-someone's friends!" Hikari accused Antylamon, wriggling away from the huge digimon's grasp and backing away. She didn't like that Antylamon had managed to spark even a small bit of dislike for Lalamon, and even if it was true, it didn't feel right! Lalamon was here to help her, right? "Lalamon is my friend!" She insisted. "You're mean for saying he's not!"

[/sup][/sub] It was difficult not to shoot the child an animalistic glare when she was called a liar. Of course, she had been a liar, but the fact that this child was suddenly perceptive was... irking. One moment she dared even touch a Harvester and now she suddenly had the brain to question what Antylamon had to say? The rabbit bit back a loud sigh and stood her ground, keeping her hand gingerly around the other. It was hard to keep herself from sneering at the child, "Now why would I lie to you, child?"
Her voice was lacking the patience and love that she had been falsifying before. The way this child defended her digimon... it would have been touching if there weren't a hint of hesitance in her voice. Maybe this whole thing hadn't gone to waste. Maybe Antylamon's lie was slowly worming its way inside the impressionable child's head and caused her to doubt her companion. That was all Antylamon had wanted... it was all she needed at this point. Silly child.
"Don't be so angry~" the rabbit cooed to Hikari, letting one of her large fingers gently stroke her back to calm her. "It just makes me so sad to see that your own digimon might be lying to you. How do you know for sure he isn't? What reason would I have to harm such an innocent child as yourself?"
The rabbit's tone faltered here and there between sincerity and frustration, and slowly went to wrap her hand fully around Hikari so she wouldn't run. "I wouldn't lie to a friend. I thought we were friends... you did give me these pretty flowers...I'm sorry for saying what I did. I just want you to be safe..."
Antylamon let out an exaggerated, sad sigh, ears sadly pressing against her skull and frowning lightly at Hikari. "You hurt my feelings..." she admitted with the most thick, sad tone she could manage. "You hate me like every other little child here, don't you?"
