"So...this is the place?"
A tall man in large and long black coat stood before a rather strange looking building. He was tired, hungry, and lost in an entirely new world full of demons and dark monsters, and none of his items worked on them. So currently, as far as he was concerned, if this was the only place to eat something before he starved to death,so be it. Of course, he would have to ignore the nagging feeling that something or someone is going to poison him the moment they serve him his food. It was worth the risk, he'd rather die with a full belly, then die hungry, lost and miserable. To make matters worse for the man called Marley, he had one of these evil little demons following him everywhere, trying to help him, saying something about being his Digimon, Digital Monster. What was that even supposed to mean? Was he destined by some greater force to wield this evil little monster? Marley wouldn't think of using a monster, but he had already tried to kill it with his cross, and he tried to run away from it...but sure enough the little bird creature kept following him, constantly on the verge of tears. Probably just another trick to get Marley off his guard. Well. It was not going to work. At the moment, though, he was just grateful that the thing had directed him towards a restaurant.
The little bird monster stared up at Marley with it's big eyes from where it lay on the ground. "This is it Barley!" he exclaimed, for once almost sounding proud if itself. "Marley. My name is Marley." Marley quickly found out that being so blunt, and not correcting the monster gently was a pretty bad idea. The feathery ball of admittedly cute stared in sheer horror, as if it was guilty of murder or some other terrible crime. "I...I," it made an obvious swallowing sound, voice sounding like it was literally choking on his own tears "How c-could I-I forget you-you-you're own name!." he wailed pathetically, sniffling and running around in circles, all full of distress. Marley wanted to say something to the tiny talking bird, but the horrible guilt that it had continued "It's okay if you want kill me! I don't deserve your kindness!" Marley stared, feeling a mixture of annoyance and sympathy for the poor creature. He knelt down, placing his brief case on the grassy ground. Though not completely at eye level with the chick, this would have to do. Ugh. This is why he hated kids. They were so loud and pathetic. "Listen, Bird-thing..." he paused and forced a smile "See? I can't even remember your name. Does that mean I should be killed for it?" Bird-thing looked away, though Marley had a feeling it felt relieved to have been forgiven by this man " My name is Pinamon. I-I'm so sorry for causing a scene." Marley looked around the area and smiled as little reaching out to gently pet Pinamon's feathers.
Wait a minute...No NO NO NO NO! A thousand times No! Marley instantly stood back up, grabbing his brief case firmly. He wasn't going to start getting attached to this little monster. He was going to find a way to get rid of it for good, whether or not Pinamon liked it. "Come." was the only word he said to the Pinamon, and then approached the restaurant with great confidence. What ever ugly monster was in here waiting for him, he could handle it.....right? No probably not, the closer Marley got to the door, the more horrifying images started dancing in his head. He wasn't going to make it out alive was he? "Barley...Are you going to open the door?" asked the bird-thing, making Marley realize he hadn't entered the restaurant at all but was just standing outside it like an idiot.

Having had much the same idea as the pair now standing, seemingly indecisively before the diner, Evan was now dragging his own partner in the same general direction. Or perhaps it was the other way around. Sometimes he really couldn't tell..especially when it came to the subject of food, for usually it was Gomamon that was the one who was hungry. They had both been trekking around the area for quite some time now and Evan was currently feeling a little less energetic then was normal. Perhaps it really was the lack of nourishment and rest that was creating this lapse in energy, or merely the absence of other people to bother. There really hadn't been too many people, if any, where they had been, save for Gomamon, but for whatever reason he didn't really want to bother her like he did with the others. Not that he never did, it was just nowhere near the scale that was granted to others. On top of all that, he was hot. For whatever reason, every time he entered the digital world so far, he was forced into a turtleneck sweater...a black sweater of all kinds. To put it simply, not only did it retain heat to a huge degree, but it clashed horribly with his complexion, making him appear nearly dead from lack of skin pigment. So, probably upon him voicing these complaints, along with a few sporadic others, the pair had set out. In all honesty he hadn't expected there to be a diner, or any sort of foodstuffs at all in the digital world..seeing as it was well..digital, but he was still somewhat new to this and was constantly being surprised. Why should he have expected anything less really?
And so, now Evan stood with his companion, not too far away from where the diner was located, with both the building and the two figures that stood before it, in plain sight. Wearing a grin, almost verging on appearing somewhere along the scale that constituted the "wicked" variety, Evan observed them. A digimon and a human.
Oh, this was brilliant. Sheer brilliant. Not only would he get food, but he'd get entertainment as well if Gomamon didn't try to stop him. Dinner and a show. Always fun.
"Hey, Gom." he nudged her with his elbow, still staring at he pair, who, for whatever reason were still standing at the door, "Oi think those goy's down there need a spot of help. Oi think they forgot how to open the door" Folding his arms as though in contemplation (though he had already decided exactly what he was going to do), he cast her a sidelong glance. Obviously she would disapprove of his desire to create some conflict, no matter how innocent it was (at least to him it was innocent), so he made another decision right here. Without waiting for a response (and almost certain that she would indeed follow him) he made his way, as casual as he could possibly be while maintaining a decent pace, toward the pair, hoping their backs remained facing his way for now. He didn't have a clue what sort of persona's they held, but it was always fun figuring these things out right on the spot.
As soon as he was sure he was within earshot, he called out to them in his oddly soft tone, laced with a very proper English accent. His voice was, as always incredibly unsuited to both his demeanor and current expression, which hadn't really altered from when he had been watching them.
"Are you goise actually going in, or were you planning on eating the door instead?" Glancing behind himself momentarily, hoping Gomamon had indeed followed, he turned back to the pair with a causal shrug. "Don't know what the owner would think of that, mind you, but oi won't stop you."
(OOC; Neg will be posting as Gomamon shortly next, as she is Ev's partner) [/sub][/font]

It was not until they could see the randomly placed diner that Gomamon's stomach decided to let its presence be known. The little digimon's eyes widened and she pressed her paws against her tummy, glancing up at her partner with big eyes. Oh food, that sounded so awesome at the moment. Any begging that might have been was pushed aside when it became apparent that Evan was thinking the same thing as her. Yay food! She had not noticed the pair at the entrance until he had pointed them out. She peered closer, catching the obvious pair this time and tilting her head.
"I wonder why they're just standing there like that?" she murmured, giving him a skeptical look. "People don't just forget how to open doors! ... I guess they could but... no SHH!!" She was rather sure he could come up with some smart-alack remark on exactly how the action of opening a door could be forgotten.
Instead of going further into the conversation, however, the boy began to make his way over to the human and digimon pair. She nibbled at her lip for a moment before wobbling after him. She could not stop a short burst of giggles and a snort from escaping her at Evan's comment, slapping one of her flippers over her mouth to stifle her laugh. The sudden image that popped in her head of someone scarfing down a whole door was too silly for her to not giggle at at least a bit. She coughed and shuffled forward, smiling at the two.
"We wanna come inside too! Is it closed?" She was not even sure if this diner closed anyway. This was the digital world, after all. She had never really even seen this place until now. Her first experiences with diners were in the human world, and not even the insides much. Usually it was simply in passing at this point. Maybe soon she will be able to convince Evan to bring her to a place with those glorious things called waffles! The TV at home made her want them so bad. Oh man but if this pace had waffles too that would be so amazing.

Beautiful things are always silver [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, width: 480px; height: 600px; background-image: url(http://i1237.photobucket.com/albums/ff470/DBlaine/backgrounds/dark-blue-swirls-design-1.jpg); border-radius: 35px 15px 35px 15px; -moz-border-radius: 35px 15px 35px 15px; border: 5px solid #000033, bTable] Marley Snow
Pinamon ran around in circles, clearly distressed by his standing there, hand on the door. Perhaps it was because it didn't like being so out in the open, and honestly, Marley couldn't blame it. In this twisted hell bent land full of monsters, just about anything could happen. This idea would have motivated the man to open the door there and then, but the idea of other monsters being inside bothered him even more. Not to mention, it only just occurred to Marley that human just might be on the menu, and he could be walking into a trap. What kind of evil monster just opens up a Cafe in the middle of nowhere, with out having some sort of malicious plot. Why couldn't he have just stayed in Odaiba? Why did he have to be suddenly abducted by who knows what, and landed in this hell bent monster realm? He wouldn't have to be so damn paranoid about everything, then again, that was probably a lie...he was always paranoid. But never this lost, confused and frightened before. "Barley? Barley? Barley?" to make matters worse, he had this little talking devil bird following him around. He acted so much like a little kid, Marley didn't know what to do with it.
Marley continued to ignore the constant calling of his "name" from Pinamon and stared at the door furiously, as though it was his worst enemy yet. He kept having to remind himself that he would rather die with a full belly than die with an empty one. Fine then, if something were to happen, he would prepare himself for the worst, and die with some dignity. The dark haired man had tensed his arm to pull open the door, when he stopped once more, hearing a voice from behind them. This made him stiffen and his heart start jumping like madness. That voice...was certainly not him, nor was it Pinamon, and they certainly didn't have a third wheel. Could it be that Death was ready to take him away, or was it another one of these terrible talking monsters. He hadn't seen any sign of a human beings, so he he assumed that it was going to be yet another one of these...Digimon. Marley quickly grabbed at his necklace out of habit and whirled around to face whoever was talking.
When taking in the appearance of this stranger, Marley nearly feel backwards into the door. Dark hair, green eyes, and pale as hell...was he a vampire? The older man clutched even tighter at his necklace, ready to throw it at the evil beast in front of them. Then...he relaxed a little. From his research Vampires were nocturnal, so this guy might not be one at all. Right?....Right?! Well, Ol' Marley wasn't going to let his guard down, not in a long shot. "Oh. It's j-just a little boy. Scared me for a second." he glanced around, as though looking for an escape, and then flinched again. It was another one of those evil monsters! Only it looked far different from Pinamon, speaking of the little devil, the bird thing was once again reduced to tears. Probably embarrassed by whatever the others said, Marley probably would have been too, if he wasn't be busy being paranoid. "We are not eating the doors!" the bird thing cried, puffing up it's fluff and feathers almost bravely. Marley just stared at the monster that looked to be following the boy. "What...on earth...is that?" he panted, pointing a finger at what he didn't know was Gomamon. Pinamon certainly wasn't done yet though, as he felt that they were being threatened and made fun of by this duo "And you talk fu..funny too!" he choked through his tears at the human boy, and then hid behind Marley's leg.

There had been some better moments in his lifetime when it came to chance meetings like these, and normally he liked to more or less appear as damn casual as possible. This wasn't one of those moments, though granted, it could have been far, far worse. He had been too relaxed, and Marley's very abrupt and fast turn caught him off guard. Granted he should have expected something of the sort, but perhaps reflexes and other such things were among those things that were currently a little off on his part. So, without really meaning too, upon Marley's twirl (very pretty it was..on another occasion Evan might of noted this aloud) he leaped back a foot or so, probably narrowly missing Gomamon who had been tailing him, and recently arrived nearby Fortunately he didn't trip on anything, but DID end up flailing about, arms rotating a few times like a windmill before he was able to steady himself again. So much for trying to appear cool...ah well it wasn't something he would dwell on. Pointless thing to do really, so instead he just pretended that it never happened and faced the pair again, arms folded back into their original position.
There was one thing that was vexing him however, which was in no way related to the fact he’d almost fallen over. He could be fine with this as it seemed he had had the very same effect on the man. No, it was more in relation to what the guy said. Evan himself disliked children quite a bit, especially the small ones, and he didn’t appreciate being placed in that category along with them. After all, he was legally an adult now...right? He smirked in the guy’s face, who had gotten twitchy again, as though expecting something to attack him. He wasn’t about to respond to that; at least not directly.
“Ah..scared by a little boy are we? What’s got you all jumpy now?” Unfolding his arms, he took a few more steps closer to the pair, only just now noticing (since it had spoken) that the digimon accompanying the guy looked downright distraught. Even then that word didn’t seem to describe it properly, and Evan seriously wondered what was wrong with it. That wasn’t normal from what he’d thus far seen with digimon, but he supposed all was possible, and there could be as much variety in demeanor for them as there was for humans. Odd, considering in essence they were merely creatures of data, but it was so easy to forget this point sometimes. So when the twitchy man addressed Gom like she was some sort of horrible creature, he couldn't help but responding somewhat indignantly on her behalf; a very odd thing for him to usually do.
“This thing here’s my girl Gomamon," Grinning slightly, he, glanced down at where she stood beside him and gently nudged her with the toe of his shoe. “But I just loike to call her Gom.” He felt it was better to give her a little nickname then to call her by what she was anyway. It seemed more personal that way.
Glancing at the now sobbing Pinamon, Evan sighed. “On come on, Gom’s not THAT hideous is she? She won’t bite.” Inching closer to the door, which still remained vehemently shut thanks to everyone's unwillingness to open it, he turned back to the little digimon, adding, “..well, can’t say the same about me though, but that's hardly a surprise roit?” Not that they would know this, but he felt like adding it anyway. For whatever reason he found he wasn’t nearly as harsh with digimon as he was with other people, and that fact was remaining true even now. If Pinamon had been a human, he would have been mocking him like hell, but as of now, he was amazingly restrained with him. Sadly he also hadn’t picked up enough about Marley to properly have a go at him yet, so he’d stay (for him at least) relatively composed for now. He didn’t want them leaving too soon anyway, especially only after just meeting them, for he almost desperately desired to have others around. For someone who claimed to not care about people, Evan certainly liked being around them. [/sub][/font]

Gomamon let out a yelp and ducked, shuffling backward quickly as her partner stumbled back. She could only watch helplessly as the towering-over-her boy pinwheeled his arms in an attempt to stay upright. A wave of relief passed over her when he did not fall. She let out a sigh. That could have been unpleasant. And she would have been unable to help!
At the other human's comment and reactions, the little digimon winced, eyes widening. What did she do wrong? The man pointed at her with a look of... what was that? She deflated slightly, lowering herself and shuffling closer to Evan. She felt incredibly conspicuous now, no longer just another person who was part of the group but a something. She felt even worse as the other digimon was crying so hard. Her lips pulled back and she lowered her head to lay her chin on her large flat paws, not unlike a resting dog. She bristled slightly at the comment to Evan's way of speaking, though not much past that. Why was the Pinamon crying??
"This thing here’s my girl Gomamon."
Her ears perked and she jerked her head up, staring at Evan in surprise. Her mouth even hung open a little bit. That seemed like such an odd comment, something foreign. It made her grin and feel a tad flushed, though. Her white fur covered that up nicely, but not her big doofy smile. She was Evan's girl. That made her happy! A good chunk of her confidence restored by that little comment, the digimon pulled herself upright again (though she still lay relatively flat, as was her normal position in this form).
"You two can calm down, we don't wanna pick a fight or nothing." Her tone was softer than it had been earlier, her mood sobered. "We're just hungry...!"

Marley stared at the white fish-thing, examining it's long claws that attached to each fin. That could easily kill him, and who knows how fast it would take if they were near the water. Of course, he didn't really know WHAT it was to begin with, but the man just assumed that it was some sort of fish or aquatic monster. His brown eyes grew a little wide with fear at the...what ever it was. Could it smell fear? What was it going to do with him, better yet, why was it with this British sounding guy? He certainly had enough questions about that let alone the whole entire hell-like world he had somehow entered. The Pinamon was now the least of his worries, and the strange ever-worried man had his whole entire attention on these new comers. Deep down, Marley figured that the actual human looking thing might actually be normal. No, he really couldn't risk letting his guard down, now could he? Nothing was just "normal" here, the weird bird-thing that followed him around was all the proof he needed.
His? What did this guy mean by his? Marley ripped his gaze away from "Goma Mon" to the little boy now, gazing at him...almost rather amused. If you've ever felt so worried and scared that everything suddenly started to seem hilarious, then that was certainly how Marley felt right now. A big grin appeared on his otherwise worried face, and a somewhat insane chuckle rumbled from his throat. Why it was funny...he didn't really know, but it was and at this point Marley didn't entirely care if he looked nuts or not. "Goma Mon?" he repeated thinking about the name, and then turned to look down at his own little stalker "Her name is kind of like yours, Pina Mon, maybe your siblings?" he smiled at the ridiculous statement. So what? It was funny...at least it certainly was at the moment.
The Pinamon seemed to relax at the sudden mood change of it's partner, clearly not understanding that laughing was probably just a way of Marley coping with things. He blinked up at the stranger Evan for several heartbeats, taking in what the human was saying to him. Instant guilt overwhelmed poor Pinamon's tiny bird-like body. He...He didn't mean to imply that the Gomamon was ugly, in fact she was a very pretty Digimon! It was too late though...the damage had already been done, and it was all his fault. The brown Pinamon wanted to run up and apologize, but the tears where already forming on his face, and he didn't want to look any more pathetic than he already did. "You'd bite me?" he asked the human, registering what he said, clearly surprised by it, but feeling like he deserved to be bitten. It...everything was all his fault after all, so he didn't care if the human wanted to bite him. Though, The Pinamon wasn't quite sure if Evan would even like having a mouth full of fluff and feathers...which of course the Pinamon would feel guilty about as well.
Marley looked back down at the fish-thing when she/it spoke again. She was right, they clearly were not looking for a fight...yet, so he might as well at least act like he wasn't a complete crazy. He shifted away from Evan, who obviously was trying to get inside, but his mind put him on pause as he heard the last part of Goma Mon's words. He really should have just swallowed his tongue but it came out of Marley's mouth before he could stop himself "Hungry....for what, I wonder?" "...For....food?...Or what?" The bird Pinamon tried to answer as best as he could, obviously confused as to what Marley could be implying, making his chuckle again,"Oh nothing...nothing at all.". He moved fully out of the way of the door so that these two could enter before him and the stalker devil bird. "By all means, after you, but I have to wonder..." he paused again, trying to resist the urge to talk again "In stories, don't monsters eat humans? I'm just thinking out loud I guess." again he let out a little laugh, brown eyes studying the other human Evan, and then changing moods "My name is Marley by the way."

Oh he really HAD hit jackpot with these two. The guy's digimon was just funny to WATCH alone, and the guy was still seemingly nervous for unexplainable reasons. Which suited him fine in the end; so much better then the hostile or violent sort, and it made him all the more willing to stick around. Not that he would have been going anywhere in the first place after discovering the diner, which had yet to be infiltrated by any of them. Evan wondered what was the problem with these two really, especially the digimon. The Pinamon looked like it was constantly about to suffer a nervous breakdown without any real explanation at all, save for the fact he seemed to be somewhat sensitive to what he considered his rather tame teasing. The guy however seemed to be intimidated by Gom, which he couldn't help but feel amused by. No one had yet shown signs of nervousness around her, probably because she had for the most part a very friendly personality, but that didn't seem to matter here. The guy kept shooting her glances, as though sizing her up, or trying to figure her out despite the fact she hadn't shown any ill will toward them. Either they were both completely crazy or for whatever reason were intimidated by them when they hadn't even done anything yet. Either way, easiest tease ever.
"Hey Gom, looks loike you got yourself a sibling now. Whoy don't you give 'im a noice big hug. He looks loike he could use it" Evan really didn't know if this would only freak him out farther, possibly help the Pinamon calm down, or if Gom would even do it in the first place. Either way though would be a success, because either he would shut up crying or perform yet more amusing antics of tearful worriedness. Not that he normally enjoyed causing tears, in fact that was one of the few reactions he disliked bringing forth, but for whatever reason he didn't think these tears were of true sorrow or emotional pain.
"Hungry....for what, I wonder?"
Turning his attention back to the man, who looked amusedly worried again, Evan for the time being couldn't imagine what he was asking. At least not why it would be causing concern. It wasn't like he had seen the menu or anything, and was about to respond when Pinamon echoed his words, followed by what seemed to be further musings by the man. "In stories, don't monsters eat humans? I'm just thinking out loud I guess." Ah. Suddenly it made sense and it only made the situation all the more hilarious. It would be so easy to play along with these worries, if the man was indeed utterly naive and gullible on such matters.
"Oh, oi think monsters prefer human flesh actually. Properly easy to get, and quoit tasty." He shot a glance down at Gom again, wondering if she would protest, and desperately hoping she wouldn't, even if he was joking about on her part, and to an extent himself. "The bloodier the better." he added casually, now wearing what he liked to call his "deranged" grin; One he had been told before was disturbingly convincing. With a small shrug he pushed his way completely past the pair to get to the door, the sun not doing any favors for his comfort level or his skin. Plus he wanted to see what treats were housed inside, if anything. "You coming? Or are you all just going to stand there all day?" With that, he pushed the door open and slipped inside, awaiting the others to follow behind, before poking his head out again, and adding, "Oi'm Evan by the way. Noice to 'ave met you, Marley and partner " before sliding back out of sight behind the door. [/sub][/font]

Hug that? That little Pinamon? Haha, Evan, hilarious. She was afraid if she even came close to try the thing would flood the area with his tears. She was even sure that her simply shuffling over to do so would cause panic and tears in and of itself. She did not want to seem rude or heartless, though, so she ended up adusting her paws awkwardly instead at her partner's suggestion, staring down at the ground.
"Hungry....for what, I wonder?"
"In stories, don't monsters eat humans? I'm just thinking out loud I guess."
Gomamon's eyes widened and her fur bristled along her back. Oh she did not like this human at all. Those comments, even that stupid little laugh of his sounded obnoxious and insulting to her at the moment. She grit her teeth and bit back her hurt and frustration, letting Evan speak instead.
"Oh, oi think monsters prefer human flesh actually. Properly easy to get, and quoit tasty. The bloodier the better."
Her jaw dropped and her head whipped to look up at the boy. What??? Why would he say that! Seeing how this guy was acting, he would probably believe all of this! Their eyes met for a moment as Evan glanced down at her. Her mouth slid closed and she moved her gaze from him to the other man. She knew that smile of his. It even unnerved her, despite the fact that at this point it was not difficult for her to realize that there was no real danger behind it. He was a good actor sometimes.
She shuffled after him as she slid into the doorway. She had to resist the urge to nip at the other human's feet as she passed by him. That would only confirm her oh so horrible monstrous nature to him. She could not help a soft growl, though, before she slipped in with Evan. Though she was not suffering from the heat like her partner was, entering the suddenly air-conditioned place felt amazing. She padded off further inside, her claws clicking against the floor.
"Hellooooo?"

Isn't Barley, marvellous? Hmmm? This strange thought crossed the Pinamon's mind , and it quite a strange moment too, making his large brown eyes grow wide. Well, he certainly supposed Barley was... fine, but not marvelous. Quite honestly the small bird had to wonder what made him think that in the first place. His partner was not at all marvellous, more like paranoid, hostile, but he still meant well at the same time. His brown bird eyes glanced from the human they met called Evan, and then to the Gomamon, he was about to say something, when all of a sudden his thoughts spoke up again! We wouldn't want any harm to come to him. Hmmm?
Ooooh dear, The Pinamon's whole feathery body stiffened in fear. He recognized this voice, actually, he had experienced the evil thoughts before. Poor Pinamon thought it would go away since he was with his human parter, and it did go away for a while. Now...it was back, making his little digital body go weak with fear. He wasn't afraid of the voice because it WAS a voice, but because, it had a way of charming him into doing things. Things...he wouldn't normally find appropriate to do. Maybe, though the Pinamon dreaded the thought, it would even bring him to do something drastic, maybe even deadly.
Meanwhile, on a different subject, Marley's dark eyes looked from the white Mohawk fish, to the stranger human every two seconds, switching between the two. He wasn't sure who he liked less, the Evan guy who he could clearly see was making fun of him, or the monster that followed him around. What was she called again, Goma Mon? If there were two things that Marley didn't like it was Teenagers, and and monsters, which seemed to be exactly what he was being surrounded by. Worse yet, he was actually being FOLLOWED by one of those monsters, the little talking bird thing. Could things get much worse than this? While the others walked past hi, or...flippered past him, his dark brown eyes stared at the Pinamon, who was staring back up at him. The series expression on its face made him step back a little, afraid that if it concentrated to hard, it'd possess him, or something bizarre like that. "Barle-" "Marley," "Right, maybe you could be a little nicer, they seem to know a lot about a world you know little about." It's brown birdy eyes grew wide, and his voice as shaky, as though it were about to cry. This made the man look away from it, and sigh, the stupid bird had a point. "After all, Barley, I wouldn't want any harm to come to you...." Marley's eyes widened in fear. Wh-what was this Pina Mon getting at? Was something bad going to happen? What was going on here? The look of fear grew into a look of hatred, which made Pina Mon flinch and whimper in fear. Marley had about had it with this demon world, this little bird monster, and EVERYTHING else! Fine then. If this was how it was going to be, Marley wasn't going to let himself get killed, in fact, if he had to survive, he might as well start relying on others. Other than himself.
He moved toweards the door, following after Evan and Goma Mon, ever so slowly, while Pina Mon raced forward, and into the restaurant, pausing to look around. There wasn't really anyone here besides one cat thing, which Pinamon recognized as a Gatomon. "Hello?" chirped the little Pinamon, running around for what seemed like a long time to Marley. Oh how he hated children. Oh how he hated how he was being forced to rely on them. "Anyone going to take our order?" asked Marley loudly "I'm starved...." he then paused and looked at Evan "Listen, as much as I hate to admit it. You seem to know a lot more about this world than I....Help...me please." Pinamon paused and smiled at his human partner. Marley seemed even more like a grown up than ever before, in his eyes.

The interior of the building provided near instant relief, and Evan spent a moment contentedly slumped against the wall as he waited for (or more hoped) that the others would follow him in. Sure he knew Gomamon would follow him, and sure enough she had, right behind him just as the door swing shut once more. For something that was supposed to be an open cafe, it was utterly empty, save for some cat looking thing, and he wondered if they were actually supposed to be in there at all. Not that ha cared really; following the rules, and even sometimes the law was never his strong point. Plus, it was always more fun that way, or so it was until one got caught. Sadly right now however, he was not in an exploratory mood, and probably wouldn't be until he re-gained at least some sustenance.
"Well this blows," Evan huffed, having for whatever wild reasoning, expected there to be life bustling about inside the cafe (or at least there was nothing around that was currently visible). "No one. What now?" he asked Gomamon, without really expecting her to know. Maybe if no one showed up they could all go and storm the kitchen and make their own stuff it need be. It was only fair for the owner not making an appearance; but then again he'd probably burn the place down so maybe that was not in the best of plans.
Just then, much to his delight, the other pair, Marley or whatever and his bird friend made their appearance. He had almost thought they weren't going to follow, but presumably they had just been discussing something. Or standing there afraid of the door. Sadly the both of those options seemed plausible. The little pinamon's demeanor seemed remarkably different all the sudden, all energetic as it darted about the cafe while Marley stayed near them and the door. At lest now if there was someone nearby there would be even more of an excuse for them to show themselves. He shot Marley a look as he asked about ordering and raised a single brow.
"Oh oi'd love to really, but as there's no one to bloody order from, oi think that might complicate things just a tad. Though...perhaps we just need to yell a bit, yunno, attract attention an' all that." he grinned. "Want to help me with that Gom?" He was mostly kidding, (though in reality would never be exactly against doing something like that either) and sure she would say no anyway. He really needed to at some point teach he about the joy of being obnoxious and all that fun stuff. He was about to push himself up off the wall and wander farther into the Cafe when the other guy spoke up again.
"Listen, as much as I hate to admit it. You seem to know a lot more about this world than I....Help...me please."Evan just about laughed; so this guy needed help? From him of all people? Oh the things he could fabricate if this guy really knew nothing. Or he could actually be truthful and helpful for once, but ugh, where was the amusement in that? He could eventually tell the guy the truth, but why not mess around a bit at first? After all, that was one of the two reason he'd come and approached the cafe to begin with, and currently, he wasn't getting the first one. So, he might as well go for the second while he waited.
"Shore. Ask whatever. You're new here are you?"he shook his head, trying to look at him pityingly at these words, for once successfully concealing the amused smile that would normally have been smacked across his face. "What a pity. I hope you really loike this place, because you'll probably be here a long while" He paused there, to allow Marley to interpret that however he wanted to, and would thus formulate whatever response based on his reply.
