"We're lost aren't we?"
Misaka looked to the side of her at the blue digimon walking next to her, a calm expression on her face as she stopped moving. The two had begun their venture into the desert on advice from the local Yokomon that had lived next to the place of their arrival. After having spent the night, and were given some supplies, the duo decided it was time to move onwards. This was only for two reasons. One, because it was assumed that there were likely other digimon that might know how to get Misaka home. The second was that while the girl loved being around the kind flower creatures, she didn't want to be a burden as she sat there and hoped that someone would find her. At this point, the girl had to accept that there was a chance that no one was coming. That isn't too surprising.....They probably don't even know where I am....
They had done well so far. After about three hours of moving through the massive sand land, the two didn't stop for any water in till the finally arriving at a very tall cactus. While it didn't provide much for comfort, it did give them shade. Enough so that Misaka could sit down and look through the items they had been given. From what she gathered, they had been there for quite some time. Each object in the small sack seemed to have been dated back some time ago. While making some of it useless, it did provide some answers to some of the things she'd been hearing.
"So there were other humans here?"
This question was asked towards the Veemon as she began taking off her sweater vest, sighing in relief as she let it rest upon her lap. Turning her attention towards the dragon beside her, she watched as he nodded and then grinned.
"Yup! They were considered heroes to everyone in the Digital World! Some of them even came back and helped to make life better!"
That seemed to be the case. Much of the items the Yokomon had given her looked to be medical supplies. But then it begged the question of what had happened? The items were old, wouldn't they have come back to replace them? Not only that, but why wasn't her world more aware of the presence of another?
"So then what happened? Why aren't any of them around anymore? For that matter, why haven't I even heard of this place in till now?"
It seemed to be the question that everyone was asking. No one seemed to have an answer for her, at least not yet. Maybe she shouldn't have been questioning it? After all, this world, while beautiful, wasn't perfect. There were many digimon here that would happily have her for lunch or worse. Not every one of them were as kind as SnowAgumon, DemiMeramon, or Veemon.
"Ahhhhh No idea....But hey! Maybe if we keep moving, we'll find someone who knows!!"
It was a better idea than any she had come up with. While wanting to go home, Misaka couldn't help but be curious about what was happening around her. Perhaps just looking into it slightly wouldn't cause much harm. If anything, it would help answer some questions for everyone.
So the two continued their venture through the blistering heat, Misaka with her vest now covering her head and Veemon beside her with an exhausted expression. As both of them reached back behind their backs to retrieve their respective water bottles, they soon looked upon them at the same time to find that each were empty. From there, Misaka and Veemon lowered their heads and arms forwards. Stating the same thing at the same time.
"You gotta be kidding?"
"You gotta be kidding?"

The heat... it was too much.
Klaus started this journey feeling a sense of purpose for the first time in three years, pacing towards something...anything in particular with his demonic koala latched to his shoulder. He hadn't known what had brought on his sudden motivation but the further he paced through the wire desert the faster he felt said motivation drain away.
With each step, the man could have sworn he felt his boots sink deeper and deeper into the sand than before. All this monotony... that single thread of hope he had that would have gotten him through this desert burned away with the heat. With each step he felt his body become hotter and heavier while his breaths became shorter. His canteen of fresh water swished with each step but he never bothered to reach it - that was how downhearted he was because of this.
Klaus began to think about death and what would happen to his body if he were to let himself collapse here and now. His knees were weakening with each step and his mouth became drier and drier. His companion rested on his shoulder would have told him to take a drink of water, but it knew better. Phascomon was beginning to believe that Klaus had come here to isolate himself and let himself die.
Maybe he hadn't - but Phascomon certainly began to feel distressed as Klaus' posture lost what little confidence it had and took a dramatic, sudden sag. "Phascomon..." he began, his voice lacking in the emotion he wanted to try and convey to his beloved partner. Still, the digimon recognized this tone as something urgent, and its ears perked to hear what its partner had to say. "...You can still get outta this, yanno..."
And with that, the man finally let his legs give out - falling to his knees with an airy breath and literally faceplanting into the sand. Phascomon was surprised by this, to say the least, but kept itself airborne with the beat of its tiny wings and hovered to the ground to land beside him.
"You mustn't give up, Klaus."
Phascomon murmured to him in a soft but urgent tone. The digimon sat beside its fallen partner, letting its spaded tail curl around Klaus' face while poking at his cheek several times. As much as the digimon wanted to save its partner, it couldn't. All Phascomon was was an embodiment of Klaus' emotions, and it was feeling just about as helpless as he was. "I share your thoughts and feelings. I know you don't really want to die..." No matter how much the digimon had tried to get through to its partner, Klaus laid still. Phascomon couldn't save him, no matter how much it may have wanted to. The only person that could help Klaus was Klaus... or perhaps the two strangers that were nearby.[/sub][/sup][/blockquote]

Misaka wasn't sure what to do at this point. Without any water, the two of them would very likely wither away to the point that neither of them would be able to move. The heat was too intense to move onwards without any water. She was starting to regret not having gathered more than just a few bottles. For now the duo was in the middle of the desert without any at all. While many would panic at this point, falling to their knees as a final attempt to scream to the sky at their misfortune, Misaka kept her composure as released a deep breath.
"Ok....ok....We are not in trouble. It's a desert and there are plants around here. That means that water is not that far away...."
Placing one hand under her chin, the young girl examined her surrounds before smiling at the sight of a nearby cactus. There it was, their source of survival. Misaka remembered reading that cactus held water within their bodies, almost like a sack. If they could get one open, they would have the water they needed.
"I got it! The cactus! All we need to do is open it and we'll have the water we need. But how do we do that?
As Misaka began looking around for some kind of tool, Veemon smirked as he brushed off his shoulders before placing both hands on his hips.
"Come on Misa! You're looking at one of the strongest digimon out there! I can handle some dumb old cactus! Just watch! One Vee-Headbutt and we'll be sipping on water!"
Rushing towards the plant at full speed, Misaka reached out to try and stop him, only to watch in horror as the dragon rammed it's head into the desert plant, yelling in pain as his head and face was covered in needles as he flipped over the now toppled cactus. Sighing at this display as she looked towards the fallen creature as he laid on his back in agony, the teen picked up the medical kit and walked towards him.
"If you would have waited, I'm sure we would have found another way of doing it Veemon...."
Kneeling down beside him, Misaka gently pulled out the small needles that covered the dragon's face, smiling kindly as she then wrapped his head with some bandage tape. All the while, the rookie digimon looked on in wonder.
"Wow...You really know how to help people Misa...Why do you do it so much?"
It was an odd question for him to ask, yet he put it out there in order to have his curiosity sated. Veemon had watched the young girl from hiding perform actions that benefited others and not herself. He knew that it just might be out of kindness, but many people he'd seen did the same thing, but with something given in return. That being the case, what did Misa get out of aiding strangers.
"Well.....No reason I guess...I just can't watch other people suffer. It sucks when people forget that your just as human as they are. So in that respect, I kinda do it to show that they matter...even to a complete stranger..."
Veemon heard this and then grinned as he rubbed his now bandaged head. He was lucky to have a tamer as nice as Misa. She really did know how to look after others, and him too.
"Misa.....You really are awesome!"
Giggling lightly at his comment about her, Misaka then noticed something in the distance. This caused her to stand to her feet, blocking the sun out of her eyes with one hand in order to get a clearer sight of the figure. It appeared to be something or someone outstretched along the ground, along with something small near it. While it was possible that it was nothing, the girl began dashing towards it anyway, looking back towards Veemon with a serious expression.
"Veemon! Fill a bottle up with the water from the cactus for me ok!?"
Drawing closer, the girl felt her vest fall from her head, but that didn't stop her from continuing her course. As the distance closed, the teen expression turned to shock as she saw that the form on the ground was that of a man. Beside him was a creature that looked similar to a bear. But asking what they were doing was the last question on her mind. She was more concerned about the status of the person who appeared to have fallen.
"Are you two ok!?"
Sliding to a stop as she knelt down beside the fallen individual, Misaka looked over towards the Phascomon and blinked before staring back down towards the man face first in sand.

"Are you two ok!?"
Hm?
Phascomon turned its head towards the young human. A female. The marsupial digimon took a small step away from Klaus and glanced up at Misaka with sad, tired eyes. It spoke in its usual tone... neither male nor female... just something worn and disheartened, "We are in pain..."
it said to Misaka with an uncertain scratchiness to its voice. The digimon bowed its head in both greeting and defeat as it moved closer to Klaus and wrapped its tail protectively around his head the best it could. "The heat... and the sadness... it's gobbled him up." Normally Phascomon wouldn't like admitting weakness to a stranger... but the digimon felt calmed in the presence of a kind one, especially because it was a child. From below Klaus gave a loud, muffled groan and shifted his head ever-so-slightly to the side to peer up at who had been standing over them, eyes baggy and tired. "Great." he cursed, feeling some sort of obligation to not allow himself to die now in front of a kid. For a moment or two, Klaus considered standing up. This was evident by Phascomon suddenly backing up and crawling to stand behind Misaka's legs. Already, it seemed, that this dark digimon seemed to trust the girl. Klaus, however, wouldn't be as friendly despite what his incarnation would say. There was a long pause before he released and exhausted groan, throat scratchy and dry from the lack of water. "D'ya mind?" the man finally found the will to speak to the girl, his voice thick with an english accent that came from his upbringing in Manchester. "I'm tryin' ta die in peace here. It's kinda hard to keep concentrated on my life flashin' before my eyes with ya all askin' me if I'm alright. Do I look alright? If I don't it's cos I ain't."Phascomon's immediate reaction was to faintly frown at its partner and turned to grip onto the fabric of Misaka's skirt, giving it a very soft tug. "I normally do not ask of anything from strangers... but please do not let this man die." The digimon knew that it would not be enough to talk him out of giving up... and with the way Klaus was acting he was bound to chase her off or frustrate her by refusing help. Hopefully the girl would at least try to help a little... something in Phascomon could sense the kindness in her heart that was necessary to do so - and so did Klaus, no matter how much he didn't want to admit it. It was odd looking at a creature with such tired eyes. It was enough to make Misaka sleepy if it wasn't due to the heat beating down upon her like a bat. The girl had been tempted many times to lay upon the ground herself, but her determination wouldn't allow her to give up. That was the one thing about Misaka that she knew was true. Even against the toughest odds, the teen wouldn't give up without a fight. This situation she was in was no different and her body pushed her onwards.
Yet from all appearances, it seemed that the man laying before her had all but marked his own grave. Listening to the small digimon explain what had happened, Misaka blinked and then returned her gaze back towards the stranger. While she wasn't sure what she could do about sadness, maybe the girl could help with the heat. Looking around for some kind of shade, her attention quickly returned to the figure before her, sighing in relief as he showed some signs of life.
Though his reaction to her wasn't that of someone relieved to see another human face. Or even that of a person that was glad to be possibly rescued. His comments made that clear as he seemed to be more annoyed by her arrival if anything. That alone should have been enough to cause the girl to just get up and go. If she wasn't wanted, there was no need to try and do anything for him. But it was too soon to act upon such impulses, considering how inconsiderate it might be.
"Yea...I guess that was a silly question huh?"
Smiling slightly as she raised on hand behind her head, the girl looked down towards Phascomon as he asked for her to keep him from dying. Nodding towards the digimon, Misaka giggled before resting her hands on her lap.
"Don't worry....I'm sure after some water and some time in the shade,he'll be just fine.....Speaking of which..."
Looking over her shoulder, she saw the blue dragon digimon running towards them with two bottles in his hands. Jumping down beside her, the rookie knelt down and smiled as he handed her a bottle.
"Here you go! One bottled water, fresh from a cactus!"
Smiling at Veemon, Misaka then looked down towards the man and grinned as she waved the bottle in her hands in front of his face.
"I think this might cheer you up....."
As Veemon watched the girl try and give the water to the weird human laid out on the sand, the digimon was preparing to drink from the second in till he noticed the Phascomon beside his partner. Looking from the water to the digimon, the dragon sighed as he reached down to hand it over to the smaller digimon with a small smile.

The Digital World was among the best of ways to kill time. There was nothing better, and there was no better way to spend one's time not in school. That's right. Shana and her friend, Kishi, were supposed to be in school. They were nine year old truants, and they had come to the Digital World just to ditch school and make it so that the adults couldn't find them. No where that they looked would the two children be found. It was impossible.
In any case, the two of them had been released in the desert of the Digital world, though it wasn't stopping Shana from getting further and further away from the portal which they had entered. That wasn't of any consequence though. Shana could always have Patamon help her find the way back later. Patamon was always good with directions and she always did her best to take care of Shana. She was actually pretty mature. Much more so than Shana was.
"Do you see anything that looks fun from up there Patamon?!" Shana shouted. Her hands were cupped over her mouth to project her voice to Patamon who was scouting from up above.
"Yeah! There's two people up ahead! Approximately 100 meters North! Both have Digimon and one's a girl!" Patamon cried back down to Shana. She then glided downward to land atop of Shana's head. At this point, Shana would start jumping up and down excitedly.
"YAY! Excellent!" Shana said joyously. She then began to run in their direction. Surely it was hot, and surely she was going to get tired. But it didn't matter. Shana didn't think about the future.
"Lets go play with them!"

"Ahhhhgh! Kishi hates all this sand. Too hot!" tottering along behind Shana, the little girl's whining had been doing her no good. They were just about in the middle of the desert now! How had they gotten into this in the first place?! Or rather, why had Kishi agreed to come all the way out here? The desert was stupid and boring and lifeless! By now, she was convinced that this had all been Shana's idea and Kishi had been forced into this against her will, that was it, yep.
Nyaromon's experience was a bit different. To start, he was having a grand time being carried around in the arms of this little girl. He didn't have to worry about hopping along beside his partner through this rough terrain or anything. Although, the heat was definitely slowing them down quite a bit. Enough to make him sympathize with the brunette... couldn't they take a break?
But then Patamon flew into sight and a certain degree of interest returned to Kishi's eyes. "Patamon found lots of people? Where, where?!" the girl jumped excitedly into the air, forgetting how tired she was. She waited to follow Shana's lead.

"Water...yes..." Phascomon posture visibly relaxed when Misaka promised Klaus help and immediately went to do so. The Koala-like digimon crawled beside the kind girl, ears perked and attentive but also wore the same old sad and worn expression. It was something else that Phascomon and Klaus shared at that moment, that worn and weary look. They were both exhausted from the heat, so when Klaus' eyes were met with a water bottle of fresh water, he couldn't help eyeing it yearningly. That might cheer him up? The man wanted to laugh at poor Misaka if he could. Did she really have no idea whatsoever he was a lost cause? Of course she didn't. This girl had been spared from anything like Klaus. He could just tell by how sickeningly happy and ready-to-help she appeared to be. Due to the dark spore, Klaus just laid there with his chin in the sand, shooting the girl a defiant look while honestly considering just turning her down. Meanwhile, Phascomon glanced up towards Veemon - the blue dragon that had kindly offered it the first drink even when it was pretty obvious that they were parched. The digimon curled its spaded tail around its body shyly and ducked its head. "We appreciate the offer." the digimon spoke in its usual soft tone, looking to Klaus as he still laid in the sand unyielding to anything. "However, it is important that you two drink first. Quench your thirst, and then we will feed on the remainder if there is any left..." Soon, more voices came within earshot - the assumed sources of them causing Klaus' eyes to widen. More. Little. Girls. The man suddenly snapped up into a seated position to see two more girls and their digimon partners had begun coming their way. With a twitch of his eyebrow, he scrambled to get to his feet but promptly fell over due to the strength sapped from his dehydration. There he laid in the sand, facing towards the sun with the frown he always wore. "Why me...? Why... why God?"ooc; Sorry this took so long! >3< hopefully next turn won't take me forever <3 [/sub][/sup][/blockquote]

Watching as her digimon companion wasted no time in drinking from his bottle, Misaka sighed while shaking her head towards the koala like digimon, smiling before looking back towards his now upright friend. While the young girl was indeed quite thristy, she couldn't enjoy the drink knowing that someone else was suffering. Besides, if they really did need more, she'd just find another cactus and get it from it's insides. It worked before, why not again?
"Don't worry about it. Its ok....Besides..I think you two needed more than me...."
Giggling lightly, the girl's expression soon shifted to that of surprise as the older man sat up and looked out into the distance. Blinking in confusion, Misaka turned her gaze in the same direction, shocked when she began to hear voices coming towards them. The voices were soon followed by figures, each very small and one appearing to be flying.
"You're kidding me? More monsters!?
Veemon looked towards the direction of the moving figures as well, shaking his head while keeping a calm look upon his face.
"I don't think that's just digimon....Too much giggling..."
Rising up to her feet, the young teen dropped the bottle into the stranger's lap, cupping her hand over her top of her eyes as a shield from the sun. Giving her a better view of the incoming beings, Misaka gasped as their identity was revealed to her.
"Their just kids.........out in the desert!? Oh my gosh......"
That alone should have made her concerned enough, but then she recognized one of the arriving children and shocked consumed her once more. This followed by her coming both hands over her mouth.
"Oh my god! That's my little cousin!!"

Shana ran the entire way and closed the gap between herself, Klaus, and Misaka. Patamon remained comfortably slouched on top of Shana's head. Both girls, Patamon and Shana, seemed incredibly joyous, as was evinced by the wide grins they wore upon their face. Shana came to a stop a few meters away from the other group and faced toward them. It wasn't particularly difficult for Shana to tell that Klaus didn't seem to be in the greatest of moods. He looked exhausted, tired, and half-dead. Nonetheless! Shana raised her fist high into the air and looked at the four of them with an excited passion.
"Alright! Digimon International Rescue Team, at your service!" Shana proclaimed before bringing her elevated fist back down and placing it at her hips. God, I wish we had capes, Shana sighed. Being majestic would be so much easier if she did have them, but this would have to do. Her optimism would never waver regardless of how she was dressed.
"I'm the Rescue Team's leader, Hitoehi Shana! And this is my trusty sidekick, Patamon!" Shana pointed up at the Digimon who laid happily on her forehead.
"Hiiii!" Patamon waved to them.
"And behind me is the Digimon International Rescue Team's second in command, Hirayama Kishi! And the little green guy is her trusty sidekick, Nyaromon!" Shana turned slightly to gesticulate toward the other girl for a moment before turning her attention back to Klaus and Misaka.
"We have come to rescue you!"

The tiny brunette girl chased after her friend and Patamon, with Nyaromon still tight in her arms. She kicked up sand upon sand behind her, the shifting ground beneath her slowed the pace of her run. Almost crashing into Shana just as she abruptly stopped.
Kishi hopped to the side and waved her hand up high during her introduction. DIRT! They were the founding members of the greatest team of kids and digimon anyone would ever see! Gosh, the little girl was so proud of their group… now, if only they had more members… considering the entire Rescue Team was just the four of them standing out in the open and introducing themselves. There were no others. Maybe they needed to do some sort of recruitment so they could add the best of the best to the team!
As if coming to a realization, Kishi’s eyes widened and her mouth gaped open. “It’s... it’s you!” her cousin?! They seemed to live so far away in the real world, but to think she had seen the older girl here in this world. How weird! “Misaka-chaaaan!”
It felt as though it had happened out of nowhere. Nyaromon fell to the ground, dropped by his partner. Luckily it was sand though, soft enough to fall on without getting hurt very bad. But still, how could she?! "Oof!" the digimon grunted, although his partner was already running off yet again. Kishi was barreling toward the teenage girl. They clearly had some sort of family resemblance going on between them!
Rescue Team? Forget that! Kishi was going to tackle Misaka to the ground in greeting if she didn’t move out of the way or something quick!

Children... Children... everywhere. If there was one thing that Klaus hated more than himself... it was probably children–no–the LAUGHTER of children... laughter that came from every direction the moment the two girls ran up to Misaka with their equally childlike digimon partners. Klaus stared at the sky with the discs in his eyes shrinking as he felt the anxiety of being surrounded by innocent... happy... pure children grow. It was becoming unbearable... and Phascomon could sense this. Luckily for Klaus, being in the presence of something so innocent and disgusting would be a rare motivator. He could handle heat, starvation, and thirst... but CHILDREN? That was when the straw broke the camel's back. Their high, screechy voices reminded him of a pack of ... birds... that screeched and made other terrible noises and went about their business chirping while driving the people around them absolutely insane. He laid there dumbfounded and paralyzed by the amount of feelings that were flooding into him. Pure, unadulterated horror that reached from the tips of his toes to the top of his head. He couldn't stand to be around them much longer.. and desperate times called for desperate measures. He'd have to think of the best BS excuse he could while suffering from heat stroke and dehydration both at the same time. What would be so brilliantly thought-of to help excuse him from these six? "I'm...gonna go... write some poetry."And with that, Klaus reached for his own canteen and chugged it with about as much speed and thirst as anyone who's been stranded out in the middle of the desert could. In one swift motion he wiped the line of water that ran from the corner of his lip to his chin with his sleeve, made a refreshed 'ahhh' noise... then TOOK OFF from the group as quickly as his abnormally long legs could take him in the opposite direction - screaming in what sounded like triumphant horror as his figure disappeared in the dusty horizon. - E X I T -

((Its ok...It happens XD Im sure they'll meet again)) Misaka had barely a moment to react when she was sent tumbling onto the ground with the smaller girl on top of her. She just looked up in shock to see her younger cousin, here of all places. While she was aware of the distance between them, this was the last place she would have guessed running into her. Not only this, but the fact that the location was in the Digital World. So like Kazai, Renn and herself, another member of their family was sent into this place with a creature of unknown power and origin. She wasn't sure whether to be happy or concerned since she knew the energy within Kishi.
"Itoko-Kishi-san....What are you doing here? For that matter, how did you get here?!"
Rising up slowly from her feet, the older female began dusting herself off before looking towards Shana with a blank expression.
"Also, whats this about a rescue?"
Though as she continued to ask questions, Misaka realized that it was likely that she wouldn't get answers right away. Not to mention that she was sure that her new friend would likely be lost at these developments. Yet as she turned to explain herself, the teen was shocked to see him upon his feet before dashing off with a scream of what she could only imagine was terror.
"Hey...wa..wait! There isn't anything......"
Reaching out, she then sighed as she reached her hand back and gently began to rub her neck with a look of confusion.
"Good grief....Well..I just hope he doesn't get heat-stroke out here...."
Veemon seemed just as lost as his companion, looking at the young girls and their digimon with a lost expression.
